Scarlet Moon is the most experienced over hurdles and might capitalise on dropping in class after being pitched into a Listed race at Musselburgh last time. However, he concedes 7lb to the potentially more progressive LOVE YOU BACK. Having adapted well to racing over timber, the Gary & Josh Moore-trained gelding could be hard to beat if building on a second at Newbury 10 days ago. Cloaks Of Gold resumes after wind surgery and is also noted.

The Moore's LOVE YOU BACK has looked a winner in waiting on his two starts and can get off the mark. Scarlet Moon is next best.

XCITATIONS produced a more accomplished performance when second at Leicester most recently and Pam Sly's veteran is worth another try from a competitive rating. Cobbler's Boy and Harel Du Marais won't need to find much to be on the premises in this company. However, Gaelic Rambler has his best days ahead and he could be a big danger on these terms.

This won't take much winning and XCITATIONS ran well enough when second last time. Harel Du Marais is second choice.

Although he didn't appear to handle Plumpton too well on his latest start, the five-year-old rallied to finish a creditable second. That form has been boosted by the winner going in again since and it looks a reliable gauge. Catterick winner Comanche Magic is feared the most but an 8lb rise demands more. Sleeping Late completes the shortlist.

In a competitive feature, LET IT RAIN may leave her Newbury effort last time behind her, with drying ground proving favourable.

STAR OF AFFINITY has improved with each run over fences and was presented with a simple opportunity in a match at Plumpton when returning from a small break. Joe Tizzard's charge remains unexposed in this sphere and gets the vote to back that recent success up. Jeu D'opale has to enter calculations based on his Wincanton success, while Realta Liath can be forgiven her latest run at Market Rasen.

A tight handicap but it could pay to side with REALTA LIATH to return to her best form. Jeu d'Opale is the main danger.

RED METAL's saddle slipped at Kempton last time so a line can be put through that effort. The four-year-old made a winning debut at Hereford prior to that and is clearly the one to beat based on that performance. Goliath Flight cost 72,000 euros last year and Dan Skelton's gelding cannot be ruled out on his racecourse bow. Any market support for Bannerdown would have to be noted.

Although Goliath Flight is an interesting newcomer, Hereford winner RED METAL has shown he's a fair performer and can win again.
