The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

In A Hurry has shown ability and commands respect after finishing second to a well-backed favourite at Beverley last week. That was her first try in a hood and she could make further progress if the retained headgear helps her to settle better. However, the consistent NOBLE TESTIMONY's all-weather form reads a little better and he shades the vote with improvement likely now he switches to turf. Blunder and The Doonan are notable debutants to monitor in the betting.

This could go to the 4yo BELIEVE IN LIES, who did well to keep tabs with her three rivals on her recent debut over 5f at Pontefract.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

LATYNINA is a half-sister to seven winners, including the Group 3-winning miler Zonderland. Based on pedigree and potential, she is readily suggested as the one to be with. Having started slowly and ran green when meeting trouble on her debut at Carlisle, the Cheveley Park Stud-owned filly should be a a good deal wiser and is hard to resist. Velvet Whisper is the pick of the rest with experience, while Patricia R appeals the most from the newcomers.

Velvet Whisper and LATYNINA appeal most with the selection perhaps open to the greater improvement.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

DANDY FITZ shaped as if in need of the run when he weakened to finish last of six on his debut at Catterick on his seasonal debut. However, he could be a different proposition with that run under his belt. Tim Easterby's four-year-old is capable of much better and his customary early pace could be key in a weak event. Latin Five, who is back on a winning mark, could be the biggest danger to the selection, although Fortunate Star and Banana also boast solid credentials.

Fortunate Star is high on the list but LATIN FIVE shaped well at Catterick last time and gets the nod.

12th (3) (33/1 -106%)Yazaman |
33/1(-106%) | (3) Yazaman 33/1, Wide trip beaten 6 1/2l in a handicap at Carlisle last time; completed a 4-timer last year all over shorter; bit to find Reeled off a 4-timer last summer; not so good in 2025 and he'll be 3lb lower from Saturday. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Having spreadeagled the field over 5f at Carlisle seven days ago, CANON'S HOUSE could be tough to peg back on his follow-up bid. The four-year-old is entitled to build on that seasonal debut and neither a 5lb penalty or extra furlong may be enough to stop him. Sugar Baby supplemented his Redcar triumph with a close-up second at the same venue in mid-May. Peter Niven's charge is feared most, ahead of fellow in-form rival Captain Vallo.

Canon's House isn't opposed lightly but EMERALD ARMY (nap) leaves the impression he's still ahead of his mark too.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Having been collared in the closing stages at Southwell recently, MARAJITO makes grand appeal on this quick turnaround. Tim Easterby's filly is due to go up 3lb in the handicap and compensation could be on the cards. The hat-trick seeking Over Spiced is effectively 2lb well-in and isn't taken lightly in her current mood, while Larchill Lass is also worth a look reverting to 5f.

Opal Storm should be arriving on the scene late but JEANY MAY is tentatively preferred in an open race.

2/1(+60%) | (3) Lightening Company 2/1, Looked to want further beaten 4 1/4l in a handicap at York last time; not proven trip; bit to prove Hasn't won on Flat for over two years but ran encouragingly at York last time. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

LONE PIPER was far from disgraced when posting a sixth-placed reappearance in a 14-runner affair over 1m2f at Newbury in April. The son of Kingman is a potential improver over today's extra quarter-mile distance and any improvement could see him back in the winner's enclosure. Thrilling Dream ended last year's campaign with a solid third at Southwell and he warrants consideration, despite the removal of headgear. Lightening Company enters calculations as well.

There may still be further progress to come from LONE PIPER, who is first choice ahead of Ludo's Landing.

MEDINILLA successfully made it two wins out of three starts when making a winning handicap debut at Wolverhampton last month and could have further improvement in her. With Daniel Tudhope booked, it would be no surprise to see her go in again. Maddelina improved on her debut to score by a head at Pontefract and may have lots more to come on her first outing in a handicap. Mayberry Moon completes the shortlist.

No shortage of interest despite only nine runners. MEDINILLA can come out on top with Maddelina looking best of the rest.

BEAUJOLAIS NOUVEAU was short of room at a crucial stage and failed to recover when only fourth at Ripon last time. Ben Haslam's three-year-old takes a drop in grade and, with a clearer passage, he could take full advantage. Ann Terry shed her maiden tag in heavy conditions at Leicester when last seen and she has to be considered. Of the remainder, Miss Hathaway makes the most appeal.

He may be a 13-race maiden but if ARABIAN COBRA runs to the level he did at Hamilton last week then he'll be extremely hard to beat.
Ths is the racecard key.
