Mehmo justified favouritism at Beverley and is now asked to carry a 5lb penalty, which is negated by Joe Bradnam's claim, so he is likely to be bang there again. However, the one to side with could be FORESEEABLE FUTURE, who was just denied over 6f at Yarmouth and reappears before his revised rating kicks in, so is fancied to take full advantage. Manila Style warrants a market check on his handicap bow.

A decent race of its type, with several arriving in peak form. LATIN FIVE looks primed to strike for the first time in over a year after several promising recent efforts, travelling best when beaten by a better-placed rival at Beverley last time. Mehmo is effectively able to race from the same mark as when scoring on the same card as Latin Five last week and merits plenty of respect again, whilst Foreseeable Future was narrowly denied at Yarmouth on his previous outing and can't be ruled out.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

NIGHTEYES has hit the crossbar the last twice but her latest effort at York, when denied by just under a length, was arguably her best and she sets a pretty high standard for a race of this type with a rating of 80. Darnation shaped well when third on debut at Haydock and, with normal improvement, she could have a say. Any market support for 60,000gns purchase Cloudy Skye should be noted.

NIGHTEYES sets a clear standard here and will take plenty of beating having bumped into a potentially smart rival at York last time. Darnation appeals as the type to step forward with her debut under her belt and merits plenty of respect alongside Carabella, with Cloudy Skye the most appealing of the newcomers.

David O'Meara's improving NIGHTEYES holds the edge on both form and experience and can go one better than her excellent York second.

Doubletalk stepped forward to claim second on her handicap bow at Pontefract and she has been raised just 2lb, which should see her in contention once more. However, the vote goes to CHAT UP LINE, who did it nicely when scoring by a length at Nottingham and she could make it a double, even with a 6lb penalty to carry. Louella warrants a market check on her nursery debut.

CHAT UP LINE got off the mark in similar conditions at Nottingham last time and makes fair appeal in her follow-up bid. Doubletalk and Ninety Nine can also make their presence felt.

Hamilton winner NINETY NINE is capable of further improvement and is taken to beat Game Breaker, Woodleigh and Doubletalk.

Dropping in trip and into a selling handicap can help for VONDELPARK, who struggled at Wetherby when last seen but has been gelded since. Gemma Tutty's charge is the only previous winner in the race and has gone quite well at this venue before. Camusdarach has the ability to figure at this level and, along with the lightly-weighted Lukla, can give the selection something to think about.

Hard to be bullish about anything in this contest, though VONDELPARK makes most appeal in the hope that his recent gelding op could help allay his free-going tendencies. Duke of Wybourne stopped the slide to some extent at Doncaster last time and is most feared, with Camusdarach a very tentative pick for third.

LABALABA won a Ffos Las maiden with something in hand and keeping the son of Sioux Nation to novice company could be a good move at this stage. The Crisfords' colt was a well-supported favourite to build upon a pleasing Salisbury introduction and he can double up before he heads off into deeper waters. Last weekend's Doncaster scorer Snafiya is feared most, with Mushterek and Indivar also considered.

LABALABA landed the odds without too much fuss at Ffos Las and, with the promise of more to come, he can successfully defy a penalty. Snafiya also won last time and is a big threat for all she may not be totally straightforward. Wichahpi also makes some appeal on paper.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

WOOBAY has been threatening to land a race of this nature of late and the return to 6f could prove a tonic that helps Phillip Makin's filly shed her maiden tag at the eighth time of asking. Happier also arrives on the back of two runner-up efforts and is feared most with first-time cheekpieces expected to aid her cause, while better is expected from the lightly-raced Destined, who was successful in her only previous outing on rain-softened going.

ISLE OF DREAMS is fancied to get back on the up returned to the scene of her last victory. Run This Way was well backed and would have finished closer with better luck at Pontefract last week and could come good again. Happier just failed at Hamilton and has a big shout back against her own sex in first-time headgear.
Ths is the racecard key.
