Although defeated in her follow-up bid when finishing third at Hamilton, Musselburgh scorer LADY PHOEBE still performed with credit. Adam Nicol's filly makes plenty of appeal racing off an unchanged mark and could be poised for a return to the winner's enclosure. Beaune has filled the runner-up spot on his last two outings at Ffos Las and is forecast to be in the mix once more, along with Sugarpiehoneybunch.

In a tricky handicap SUGARPIEHONEYBUNCH is taken to win her second race of the season, with any further rain a bonus.

MAASAI MATA relished a return to 6f when opening her account at Catterick last week. The daughter of Massaat scored with enough in hand to suggest that she can defy a 6lb penalty and she's fancied to double her tally. Rum Therapy has been in good form since entering nursery company and another solid account looks likely, while Double Naughty could prove more competitive off an opening mark of 65.

Several possible improvers but RUM THERAPY has improved for nurseries and can confirm Beverley placings with Maasai Mata.

Having finished third on both outings to date, Sovereign Wealth is one of the likelier winners. However, the son of Frankel's latest effort at Beverley was a little underwhelming and he could prove vulnerable to the less-exposed NORTH FORCE. Richard Fahey's colt offered plenty of encouragement when hitting the frame on his debut at Doncaster and any improvement could see him open his account. Market support for newcomer Poetry Of Time would be interesting.

Richard Fahey may hold the key here with NORTH FORCE, who shaped well over 6f on debut, preferred to Kiss For An Angel.

HOCKNEY made a big splash on his handicap debut at Lingfield last week and a 6lb penalty might not prevent the son of Showcasing from following up. That was his first run after wind surgery and he could be up to taking a race of this nature. B Associates unseated the rider after he lost his iron at the start at Chester on Friday. He is forgiven that mishap and rates a big danger. Speaktotheguvnor and Tuscan Point complete the shortlist.

He has a different surface to contend with but HOCKNEY looked miles in front of the handicapper when winning at Lingfield last week.

MAMMA MARIA overcame a bit of early fizz and knuckled down to win at Ffos Las before being denied a brace by the Salisbury stewards after causing interference. Stepping back down to 7f from a mile shouldn't be an issue and she is fancied to make amends following a lenient 2lb rise. Highfield Sunshine, Sir David and Me Tarzan all add some spice to a competitive handicap.

Newmarket raiders Mamma Maria and ME TARZAN can fight this out with James Fanshawe's runner marginally preferred.

William Haggas boasts a fine record when sending his runners to this venue and it could be enhanced further courtesy of DAY OF GRACE. The Night Of Thunder filly disappointed when a beaten favourite at Nottingham, but she now enters handicaps and is potentially well treated if taking her earlier Kempton third at face value. Ravishing Beauty scores highly for consistency and is likely to give another fine account of herself, while Bintshuaa ought to relish a return to turf.

Bintshuaa and Velvet Whisper can do better but so too can DAY OF GRACE (nap) and she appeals as a likely big improver.

TRAVIS did all of the hard work only to be headed on the line at Ripon but a drop in trip, coupled with a return to the scene of his C&D success from 2lb lower in July, could allow him to make amends. There were clear signs of a revival from Al Muqdad when fourth at Doncaster and he merits respect now eased in class. Others to note include Wilde And Dandy, Ey Up Its Jazz and Dumfries.

Not been seen to best effect in AW sprints this summer, MANHATTAN MIRAGE is well handicapped now and this test looks more suitable.
Ths is the racecard key.
