CAPPUCINO has shown promise in his two most recent completed starts and looks nicely handicapped. A bumper winner and initially rated 121 over hurdles, he hasn't won since October 2024 but ran nicely behind Rockbrook at Tramore and now meets that rival on 8lb better terms. His two wins have been on a sound surface, but he also goes on easy ground and will like this distance. Rockbrook subsequently boosted that Tramore form by following up at Naas and has claims, despite carrying extra weight. The Electrical Kid has shown promise, but disappointed when last seen in October.

The value play is THAT'S ABOUT RIGHT, who loves it around here and is back down to his last winning mark

8/1(+11%) | (1) Cottesloe Sunshine 8/1, Made mistakes but still improved when beaten 28l into third in the Carey Glass Mares Novice Chase (Grade 2) here on her latest run. Smart hurdler but not as good chasing including a Grade 2 over C&D last time; needs more. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (12/1 -85%)Tahaa |
12/1(-85%) | (6) Tahaa 12/1, Fell when running on late in the Order Of St George Mares Novice Chase (Grade 2) at Cork on her latest run. Trained by a top course trainer and off a short break; effective from 2m1f-2m2f and acts with cut; more to come for her new yard and looks useful. Fell in a Cork Grade 2 mares chase on Irish debut; can improve from that and not ruled out. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (40/1 +39%)Shellrunforbriggs |
40/1(+39%) | (5) Shellrunforbriggs 40/1, Improved on her chase debut but looked in need of a stiffer test when fourth, beaten 36l, in a beginners' chase here on her latest start. Effective over 2m4f with cut and can improve now stepped up in trip. Well beaten on chasing debut behind a classy type at this track last time; plenty to find. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

KARIA DES BLAISES fell on her latest start, but is capable. Placed at Grade 2 level on her chase debut in December 2024, she returned following a 304-day layoff over Christmas and although held in second when coming down at the final fence, that was nonetheless useful and she might progress from the run. Tahaa was pitched into a Grade 2 when falling on her chase debut, and second career outing, at Cork but had shown promise behind high-class rivals prior to exiting. Out of a half-sister to The New Lion, she is her trainer's first string. Tareze bumped into Jade De Grugy here last month and meets nothing of that calibre now.

Keeping on when falling in a Limerick handicap chase last time, KARIA DES BLAISES can build on that and get off the mark over fences

22/1(-83%) | (7) Barrow Ranger 22/1, Improved effort returned to points when winning a maiden auction at Comea by a neck last time; effective at 2m over hurdles, 3m in points; returns to rules with some potential. Won Comea point 11 days ago, all out to hold on by a neck; more on his plate here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(9) (22/1 +33%)Volez Vous |
22/1(+33%) | (9) Volez Vous 22/1, Below form when back chasing and tried in blinkers, finishing down the field in a handicap chase at Tramore most recently. (17) (50/1 +0%)Tullabrack Lad |
50/1(+0%) | (17) Tullabrack Lad 50/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase at Punchestown last time. Yet to show anything and would rate a surprise winner of this. Pulled up on chase debut off back of lengthy absence at Punchestown last month; reserve. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(12) (66/1 -100%)Ardaghs Choice |
66/1(-100%) | (12) Ardaghs Choice 66/1, Had no obvious excuse when well beaten in a handicap chase at Tramore last time. Effective at 3m. Has had injury issues and needs to prove his ability remains. Last won in 2022; recent efforts didn't suggest he was on the verge of adding to his tally. |

ONEFORGONZO has failed to place in seven previous chase outings, but is well treated in this sphere. While both his wins came in April 2024, he has been running well recently and finished a close second in a big-field handicap hurdle at Fairyhouse on New Year's Day. Since his subsequent Down Royal chase run, he has been helpfully dropped 2lb by the handicapper. Plain Or Battered and Just For Yuse have reasonable form, while recent point-to-point winner Barrow Ranger debuts in a handicap chase.

PLAIN OR BATTERED went with plenty of zest at Navan last time and the front-runner could take some catching down in trip

(1) (4/6 +39%)Timeless Treaty |
4/6(+39%) | (1) Timeless Treaty 4/6, Improved albeit in a race which completely fell apart when winning a novice hurdle here by 24l last time; trainer in form; effective 2m-2m4f, acts on S and G; conceding weight all round might be tricky. Easy winner over C&D last time; a mark of 135 might flatter him but is the pick of Kennedy. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (15/2 -88%)Parnell Street |
15/2(-88%) | (4) Parnell Street 15/2, Ran to form when second, beaten 6 1/2l, in a novice hurdle at Punchestown latest. Effective over 2m-2m4f and acts on heavy and good ground; in form and holds a good chance in this. Solid efforts in defeat last twice but will have to find a fair bit more to take this. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (14/1 -133%)Bon Viveur |
14/1(-133%) | (2) Bon Viveur 14/1, Below form in a much better race when well beaten in a novice hurdle at Navan latest. Effective over 2m and acts on soft ground; from a top yard but must bounce back. Coughed following a poor run in a Navan novice last timed; not dismissed from this source. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

TIMELESS TREATY scored in style here and can follow up under top weight. Despite appearing exposed in handicaps earlier this season, he bolted up a fortnight ago and could now progress a little further. Parnell Street has bumped into some smart performers and may prove to be slightly better than his 123 rating, so should give the selection a race as he receives 6lb. The same can be said for Open Secret, who was a commendable fourth in a Cheltenham Grade 2. Bon Viveur comes here on a retrieval mission following his disappointing Navan effort.

The Gordon Elliott yard has won four of the last five runnings and can enhance that record with TIMELESS TREATY

(6) (5/6 +49%)Rusty Harkness |
5/6(+49%) | (6) Rusty Harkness 5/6, Improved for the step up in trip when 14l third in a maiden hurdle at Leopardstown most recently. Hood worn for the first time, off a short break and effective over 2m-2m4f on any ground, he is a possible improver up again in trip for a top yard. A repeat of his Leopardstown effort would make him difficult to beat with a hood added. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (3/1 -50%)Barnahash Mason |
3/1(-50%) | (1) Barnahash Mason 3/1, Improved to score on bumper debut when winning at Leopardstown by 2l last time; off a short-break; effective 2m4f-2m6f on Y and G; returns to hurdles with potential. Decent C&D run before winning a Leopardstown bumper; penalised 8lb but still a big player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (4/1 +20%)Haveanothertry |
4/1(+20%) | (3) Haveanothertry 4/1, Showed some promise on his hurdles debut when 27l third in a graduation hurdle at Punchestown most recently. The trainer is in form, he is effective over 2m3f on heavy ground and should do better upped again in trip. Beaten 27l in a Punchestown maiden hurdle behind two smart sorts; big player down in class. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (15/2 +25%)De Jour En Jour |
15/2(+25%) | (2) De Jour En Jour 15/2, Ran to form when fourth, beaten 18l, in an auction hurdle at Limerick latest. Off a short break and effective over 2m-2m3f on soft to heavy, his debut form has been franked at Graded level and he could improve for this longer trip. Promise in two maiden hurdles; still has plenty to find to make the breakthrough today. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (14/1 0%)How's The Head |
14/1(0%) | (4) How's The Head 14/1, Ran to form when finishing down the field in a maiden hurdle here most recently. Effective over 2m-2m3f on heavy and good ground, he is steadily progressing and a longer trip may suit. Well behind a classy rival over 2m here last time; this trip suits better but lot to find. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(9) (33/1 +0%)Lakewood Rose |
33/1(+0%) | (9) Lakewood Rose 33/1, Pulled up in a winners of one point at Turtulla latest. Effective around 2m under rules and 3m in points, she is hard to fancy on her hurdles debut. Decent runs in defeat in three bumpers last year but was pulled up in a point on return. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(8) (125/1 +17%)Black Rock |
125/1(+17%) | (8) Black Rock 125/1, Made a modest debut when finishing down the field in a Ladies' bumper at Bellewstown most recently. She looks up against it on her hurdles debut. Pulled up in a point and well beaten on bumper debut last summer; others preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (200/1 -33%)Larkfield Liberty |
200/1(-33%) | (5) Larkfield Liberty 200/1, Green and made mistakes when well down the field on his maiden hurdle debut here most recently. Off a short break and effective over 2m on good ground, he needs more to figure over hurdles. Some promise on bumper debut but was poor next time and also in a maiden hurdle here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (200/1 -33%)Aboras Mahler |
200/1(-33%) | (7) Aboras Mahler 200/1, Made mistakes and was outpaced when well down the field in a maiden hurdle at Limerick most recently. Off a short break, she has shown nothing in bumpers or over hurdles and has it all to prove. Beaten a long way in three maiden hurdles so can't be fancied. |

RUSTY HARKNESS has shown some promise in two runs and is sure to suited by stepping up to this distance. Out of a Grade 1-winning half-sister to a Velka Pardbicka hero, he was well held behind capable types on debut in November and although again well beaten during Christmas, that race was also strong and he receives weight from principal rival Barnahash Mason. The latter won a Leopardstown bumper and while aided by having previous hurdling experience, has to concede 8lb to the selection. De Jour En Jour might beat Haveanothertry for third.

If able to repeat his fine Leopardstown maiden hurdle effort on this softer ground then RUSTY HARKNESS(nap) will be difficult to beat

11/2(+54%) | (3) Campbell Black 11/2, Improved up in trip when fourth beaten 10l in an auction hurdle here latest; effective 2m-2m4f with cut; drop in trip not certain to suit on handicap debut. Found a few too talented here (2m4f) last month; fair mark on handicap debut; considered. |

12/1(+64%) | (7) Shudawudacuddagh 12/1, Needed the run and may have found the ground too soft when down the field in a handicap hurdle at Fairyhouse most recent; off a short break. Effective at 2m2f and acts on good; needs to prove effectiveness with cut. Sligo maiden winner last summer on good; tailed off in 2 handicaps since; ground questions. |

(8) (16/1 +52%)Duke Otto |
16/1(+52%) | (8) Duke Otto 16/1, Step back in the right direction when fourth, beaten 29l, in a handicap hurdle at Tramore latest. Effective at 2m with cut and holds no secrets from the handicapper. C&D winner; fourth over hurdles at Tramore on latest; has never won off mark this high. |

(4) (18/1 -29%)Oaks Soldier |
18/1(-29%) | (4) Oaks Soldier 18/1, Did not get home and was below form when well beaten in a novice hurdle at Limerick latest; off a short break. Effective from 2m to 2m4f and acts on soft and good; a bounce back is needed. Failed to beat a rival home in 2m3f Limerick novice; market will guide on handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(12) (22/1 +12%)Crohan Lady |
22/1(+12%) | (12) Crohan Lady 22/1, Green and made mistakes when down the field in the Boreen Belle Mares Novice Hurdle (Listed) here most recent; the race may have come a bit soon. Off a short break; effective at 2m and consistent in a short career. Out of depth in Listed company here; more realistic opportunity on handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (22/1 -389%)The Banger Doyle |
22/1(-389%) | (1) The Banger Doyle 22/1, Below form on deep ground when comfortably held in a handicap chase at Gowran Park last time; returning from a break. Effective at 2m and suited by a sound surface, but his form has tailed off recently and he now returns to hurdling. Big efforts in two handicap hurdles last summer; poor over fences of late; needs a rebound. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(13) (25/1 +38%)Mr Devlin |
25/1(+38%) | (13) Mr Devlin 25/1, Improved when down the field in a maiden hurdle at Naas most recent. Seems effective at 2m on yielding ground and may do better now handicapping. Tailed off in three maiden outings; market will reveal expectations on handicap debut. |

(11) (28/1 +30%)The Guinness Boys |
28/1(+30%) | (11) The Guinness Boys 28/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Fairyhouse latest; trainer in form. 40/1(+60%) | (18) Port Rashid 40/1, Found nil and the ground was probably too testing when down the field in a handicap hurdle at Clonmel most recent; off a short break. Effective from 2m to 2m4f but inconsistent. Dual winner of this race; probably has been aimed at this but 15yo is 10lb wrong. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(10) (50/1 -150%)Live Your Dreams |
50/1(-150%) | (10) Live Your Dreams 50/1, Best effort so far when dropped in trip, though well beaten in a maiden hurdle at Punchestown latest. Effective at 2m with cut and may do better now handicapping. Could be a different proposition now tackling handicaps; watch the market for clues. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(16) (66/1 -164%)Not So Proper |
66/1(-164%) | (16) Not So Proper 66/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Fairyhouse latest; surely capable of better at some stage but hard to fancy at present. Pulled up at Fairyhouse last month returning from nearly four years off; watch the betting. |

HESGONETHATWAY scored easily on his second handicap start earlier this month and can defy a 9lb rise. He showed big improvement to score at Naas and has similar conditions here. A Nod To Getaway's last three runs have been at this course, including an October success over fences, and he's very much respected. Happy Me is a 12-race maiden but has nice bits of form, not least his solid Limerick third over Christmas.

Third behind a very progressive sort last time, HAPPY ME can shed the maiden tag at the 13th time of asking

6/5(+4%) | (6) Mary O'g 6/5, Promising debut third beaten 3l in a Mares' bumper at Cork debut; effective at 2m with cut; improvement likely. Beaten 2.75l by subsequent Grade 2 winner Moonverrin on debut; difficult to beat today. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (3/1 +57%)Kiltybo |
3/1(+57%) | (5) Kiltybo 3/1, Showed some promise on debut under rules when comfortably held in a Mares' bumper here last time; off a short break; effective at 2m with cut; improvement needed. Weakened after going clear on bumper debut over C&D two months ago; can be sharper today. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (8/1 +60%)Moyneard |
8/1(+60%) | (7) Moyneard 8/1, Had too much to do but shaped promisingly when fourth, beaten 7 1/4l, in a Mares' bumper at Cork on debut; absent for a very lengthy period; effective at 2m on good; absence is a worry. Solid debut in a Cork bumper in 2024; probably best watched back after such a long absence. |

(4) (33/1 +0%)Dlightofdsun |
33/1(+0%) | (4) Dlightofdsun 33/1, Ran to form when fourth, beaten 27l, in a bumper here latest; effective at 2m and acts on soft; needs plenty more to win a bumper. Soundly beaten in three bumpers including over C&D last time; has to do plenty more. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (33/1 +50%)Certosa |
33/1(+50%) | (2) Certosa 33/1, Ran to a similar level as on debut when comfortably held in a Mares' bumper at Fairyhouse last time; off a short break; effective at 2m; lots to prove back hurdling. Well beaten in two bumpers plus a maiden hurdle and best to look elsewhere. |

MARY O'G ran promisingly on debut last month in a race which is working out very well. A half-sister to top-class chaser Gerri Colombe, the selection finished third to subsequent Grade 2 bumper winner Moonverrin at Cork, while the runner-up had previously scored in a point-to-point. Belladaball was well held behind two useful rivals on her debut at Fairyhouse in December and can build on that effort. C'est Elle is noted too.

This looks like a winnable opportunity for MARY O'G whose debut effort has been franked by the winner scoring in Grade 2 company since
Ths is the racecard key.
