LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content,

In a weak maiden, a chance is taken with hurdling debutant LA DAME BLANCHE. The daughter of Fast Company is a three-time Flat winner and ran well in a strong contest at Ballinrobe in July. A decent round of jumping can see her go close. Flashaway had good bumper form for Willie Mullins last year and ran respectably in a much better maiden than this on her hurdling and stable debut, but she has been off eight months. The homebred Getaway Beo is related to winners, including a seven-time hurdles winner, and Jack Kennedy rides her in preference to stablemate Clarnagh Maid, who was soundly beaten on her jumping bow.

It is hard to know what to expect from FLASHAWAY, but it may be worth gambling that she can reproduce her bumper-winning form

LETOS had smart form over hurdles and fences in France and sets the standard with a rating of 120. He seemed to run close to that mark when second in a 24-runner maiden at Fairyhouse in April. Having travelled well over a longer trip on that occasion, dropping back to 2m can see him get his head in front. He was taken out due to soft ground last week, but conditions should be better here. Ace Brannigan, a half-brother to Grade 1 winner Captain Teague, went close in a point-to-point and now starts off over hurdles. A useful maiden handicapper on the Flat, Molto Amichi is another hurdling debutant to note.

A modest affair and if LETOS can reproduce the form he showed when last seen at Fairyhouse he can take this

LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content, hiden content

A Flat winner at this course, SCEPTRED ISLE struck for the first time over hurdles at Navan and can follow up off a 7lb higher mark. Danny Gilligan again takes the mount and the eight-year-old still looks well handicapped compared to her mark on the level. She goes well on easy ground and dropping back from 2m3f isn't a major concern. She was in good form last autumn and this might be her time of year. Volez Vous is on a hat-trick after wins at Clonmel, but hasn't been seen since March. Romella hit the crossbar over fences at Clonmel last week, but is rated higher in this sphere.

A 7lb rise and a shorter trip may not be enough to prevent SCEPTRED ISLE (nap) from following up an emphatic Navan win gained over 2m3f

KING JON OLIVER ran poorly in a bumper on his second start, but makes plenty of appeal on the promise shown when third in a maiden hurdle at Naas in April. The French-bred was quietly fancied ahead of that debut effort in what was a better race than this. The fourth at Naas went close in a maiden last week and this longer trip should suit the selection, whose dam is a half-sister to Grand National third Gaillard Du Mesnil. Placed over 3m on his hurdling debut, Itsallinthegenes was then well ahead of Long Branch when narrowly beaten over this sort of trip at Kilbeggan. He can confirm the form, although the latter should improve for that outing.

Last month's Kilbeggan second confirmed the improvement shown by ITSALLINTHEGENES at Cork in July. He may go one better now.

An impressive winner on his chasing debut at Downpatrick last month, MICKEY COHEN can follow up. The Noel Meade-trained four-year-old reached the frame on three occasions over flights before making the breakthrough over fences and, reverting to hurdling, this looks a nice opportunity for him to add to recent gains. Runner-up on her latest two outings, lightly-raced mare Time In A Bottle has shown enough to suggest she has races in her, and stepping up in trip could unlock further improvement in the five-year-old. Cullig is another with solid claims, particularly if the ground eases.

JETAWAY NANA was going ok when brought down three out at Listowel and she may yet have some wriggle room off this mark

(2) Barryroe Madam 11/1, Unsuited by a steady pace when down in trip, she needed the run when finishing down the field in a 2m6f handicap hurdle at Galway. Previously in good form, she is usually held up and probably wants 3m after being beaten by a well-treated rival before.
The progress of her two previous runs stalled at Galway last month, needs to bounce back.

LOUGH NIGARA can open his account on this third start for Eoin Griffin. Sent off favourite on his stable debut at Wexford in May, the eight-year-old could finish no better than mid-division. Stepped back up to this sort of trip at Listowel next time, he made steady late progress for third. Lightly raced for his age, he has had very few opportunities in races where stamina is at a premium. Runner-up at Wexford on his penultimate outing, the John McConnell-trained Technology has to enter calculations. Although slightly disappointing at Navan last time, he was racing over a shorter distance. Galway second Southgate Avenue should be competitive once again.

One of the less exposed runners here, DOORMAN MOE is worth a small interest on the strength of a Ballinrobe second eight weeks ago.

Beaten the minimum margin at Listowel on debut, STATE PENSION can go one place better. The five-year-old ran green when coming under pressure before staying on strongly close home. Sure to have benefited from that initial experience, he should know his job on this occasion. Although off the track since August 2024, Mags Mullins' Eagle's Quest would be a serious threat if fit and ready. The booking of Patrick Mullins certainly suggests that he is ready to do himself justice. The Pat Doyle-trained Theran is worth a second look in the market on this introduction at his local track.

Lack of experience was an issue when STATE PENSION lost out narrowly at Listowel. With the run behind him, this is a good opportunity
