10th (4) (12/1 -167%)Jersey Des Brosses |
12/1(-167%) | (4) Jersey Des Brosses 12/1, Ground probably too testing down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Navan most recent; generally out of form; more to come over fences; outside chance for top yard Disappointing so far in bumpers/hurdles but don't rule out improvement now sent chasing. |

SIGHTS UNSEEN arrives in winning form after a handicap hurdle success over a staying trip at Downpatrick last week. She is due to encounter another undulating track on her chase debut and looks a big player. Jersey Des Brosses has been out of form over hurdles, but his length second in a point-to-point more than two years ago reads very well given the winner's subsequent exploits over fences. Aclass had subsequent winners behind him when fourth in a handicap chase at Wexford in April, so can have a say. Mullanour showed an aptitude for this venue when running well for a long way before finishing second over flights last month, while Stumblin In is a course winner over hurdles.

This could rest between two mares who have been in form over hurdles recently, SIGHTS UNSEEN preferred to Stumblin In

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (11/4 +68%)Wonleg |
11/4(+68%) | (6) Wonleg 11/4, Looked unenthusiastic well beaten in a beginners chase chase over 2m1f at Tipperary latest where let down by jumping; more to come judged on hurdles form; danger Let down by jumping on recent chase bow; these easier fences could suit so don't rule out. |

|F| (8) (50/1 +0%)Florance |
50/1(+0%) | (8) Florance 50/1, Slowly away down the field in a maiden over 12f at The Curragh most recent; generally out of form; blinkers first time; all to do on chase debut back from break Rated a meagre 85 hurdling; blinkers fitted for chasing debut but hard to make a case for. |

SERIENMOND brings a good level of hurdle form to this beginners' chase and is taken to make a winning transition to fences. Since switching to Gavin Cromwell, he has landed a Leopardstown handicap hurdle and was placed in a valuable contest at Fairyhouse. He was last seen finishing sixth in a quality contest at the Punchestown festival. Arctic Gale is more than capable over flights and is entitled to come on from his unplaced run in Fairyhouse last month after a break. He is one to monitor in the market ahead of his chasing bow. Wonleg finished in rear of mid-division on his first crack at racecourse fences in Tipperary and is likely to improve upon that effort.

Likely a quick double for the Cromwell yard with progressive hurdler SERIENMOND (nap) now switched to fences

7/1(+30%) | (6) Itsalonglongroad 7/1, Raced freely comfortably held in a handicap chase over 2m1f at Tipperary last time; didd too much too soon that day; enjoys making it; dangerous if allowed to dictate Front-runner a four-time winner here but below best of late and vulnerable. |

|U| (7) (9/1 +36%)Red Striker |
9/1(+36%) | (7) Red Striker 9/1, Probably needed race down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m1f here most recent; generally out of form; best watched switched to fences Soundly beaten on recent C&D comeback run; bit to prove right now. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|U| (4) (13/2 +7%)Willywampus |
13/2(+7%) | (4) Willywampus 13/2, Raced freely fourth beaten 15l in a handicap chase over 2m2f at Limerick latest; did too much too soon that day; down in trip; off a short-break; not out of it but competition up front Largely below best last season; best form is over further too. |

CLARENS won a rated novice chase over C&D on his penultimate start and there was merit in his third in a handicap chase when next seen in Tipperary as he was badly hampered four out. Be Fierce looks the danger as he has a good record at this track. He delivered in a rated novice chase here on New Year's Day and ought to be heavily involved if fully wound up after almost five months off. Prince Of Air is somewhat of a Tramore specialist and obliged in a handicap chase over C&D last month to further enhance his record. Champion conditional Tiernan Power Roche has been booked and his 5lb claim has the eight-year-old on an appealing mark.

CLARENS would have gone closer but for being hampered on handicap debut at Tipperary and may have more upside than most

DERRYVILLE might be the answer to a weak race. Sam Curling's mare is nothing if not consistent in being placed in five of her six bumpers including when a notable second at Punchestown behind a subsequent double Grade 1 winner. Gordon Elliott's Two Become One showed promise when second on debut at Kilbeggan over a year ago and probably needed the run when unplaced at Sligo this month. Willie Mullins runs three horses and while Sugar Cookie looks the pick on jockey bookings, she was pulled up when last seen in Killarney. Walk In The Park mare Sip Sip Hooray went off favourite for a Kilbeggan bumper last month, but weakened out of contention. There is surely more to come from her.

Willie Mullins runs three, each with question marks so it could be wise to side with DERRYVILLE after a series of solid bumper runs

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (8) (12/1 +25%)Yorkshire Escape |
12/1(+25%) | (8) Yorkshire Escape 12/1, Appeared not to stay down the field in a handicap hurdle over 3m at Cork most recent; down in trip; has run well here; outside chance Quirky, having refused and ran out in points this year; well held in recent hurdles. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (2) (25/1 -456%)Halla Paroiste |
25/1(-456%) | (2) Halla Paroiste 25/1, 6 1/2l third in a maiden hurdle over 2m here most recent run; steadily progressive; cheekpieces first time; not proven trip; not out of it back in a handicap Unlikely that he gave his running when tailed off in his previous handicap. |

16/1(+52%) | (10) Phildante 16/1, Yard won this last year; below par well beaten in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Cork latest; not proven trip; significant jockey booking; still early days; must bounce back on quicker ground Made an underwhelming handicap debut at Cork (2m4f; 33-1). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (14) (100/1 -300%)Keep D Change |
100/1(-300%) | (14) Keep D Change 100/1, Well beaten in a maiden hurdle over 2m3f at Downpatrick latest; generally out of form; absent for very lengthy period; not proven trip; lot to find Poor form in maidens and makes handicap debut after a mammoth absence; changed yards. |

The complexion of this race would change if Mags Nelson runs. He was first reserve for a handicap hurdle at Limerick on Thursday evening. The six-year-old gelding ran on to be an eye-catching fifth over a shorter trip in a higher grade at Cork just under three weeks ago. BITE THAT is better over fences, but could exploit his lower hurdle mark. After a long stint over fences, there was merit in his fifth when he had a spin over flights at Clonmel just over a fortnight ago. Beechroad Winnie handles this track well and is in a consistent vein of form, so should be thereabouts. Halla Paroiste is far from out of it up in trip in first-time cheekpieces.

She's been absent for a while but BEECHROAD WINNIE goes well at this track and wasn't beaten far here after a similar break last June.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (16/1 +36%)Miss Dishy |
16/1(+36%) | (5) Miss Dishy 16/1, Below par down the field in a handicap hurdle at Navan most recent where ground too soft; generally out of form; off a short-break; bit to find Might not want the ground too soft which would excuse her last two runs. |

BOWENSONFIRE looks a likely sort for Gordon Elliott. After a couple of placed efforts at Naas and Punchestown, he got off the mark at Limerick. Although it was disappointing on paper that he was beaten when odds-on favourite at Ayr in February, the winner followed up in Southwell and was fourth in a very valuable handicap hurdle at Sandown. Mercury Mission took the honours at Wexford and Limerick which earned him a shot at the Punchestown festival where he finished sixth in a big field. He's a significant danger. Star Official was an easy winner by 10 lengths over a similar trip at this track last month. He's markedly up in class, but has to be respected.

A tight handicap. PIDOYNE is a C&D winner who had excuses on her final appearance and she's run well fresh in the past

The obvious starting point has to be Doctor Dino gelding LOVE ME TENDER, who made good money at the sales and starts out for Willie Mullins and Jody Townend. He's a full-brother to a 122-rated hurdler for Gordon Elliott. Faithful Follower reverts back to a bumper after finishing fourth over further in a maiden hurdle at Sligo. He has already posted a runner-up finish in this sphere at Down Royal last year, so certainly enters the reckoning. If Lord Ffrench could get back to the form of his third place in a Cork bumper last summer, he would be a danger to all.

This looks a modest bumper and LOVE ME TENDER won't have to be anything special to make a winning debut
Ths is the racecard key.
