1st (4) (15/2 +85%)Figaruso |
15/2(+85%) | (4) Figaruso 15/2, Ran to form comfortably held in a maiden hurdle over 2m1f at Ballinrobe last time; absent for very lengthy period; lot to find Very lightly raced 6yo; back from near three-year absence here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (14/1 -27%)Serotonin |
14/1(-27%) | (7) Serotonin 14/1, Ran to form fourth beaten 3 1/2l in a handicap over 2m at Ffos Las latest; drop in trip no issue; top course jockey; bit to find on these terms Others preferred but could have a sneak here off light weight. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (3/1 -50%)Pachmena |
3/1(-50%) | (5) Pachmena 3/1, Below par down the field in a handicap at The Curragh most recent; top course trainer; in good form over hurdles and on flat last year; fair claims down in grade Major claims now dropped to claiming company although ground likely on the quick side. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (33/1 -18%)Glyde Ranger |
33/1(-18%) | (6) Glyde Ranger 33/1, Down the field in a handicap at Fairyhouse most recent; generally out of form; bit to find back from break Yet to hit form on turf this year; lots to find on ratings. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (7/1 -56%)Mono River |
7/1(-56%) | (2) Mono River 7/1, Appeared not to stay well beaten in a maiden at Roscommon latest; well treated on these terms on maiden form; threat but stamina concerns once again Disappointing in maidens so far this term for new yard; drops to claiming company. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (10/11 +52%)Magnetic North |
10/11(+52%) | (1) Magnetic North 10/11, Raced freely beaten 8l in a handicap over 10f at Naas last time where went too fast; usually consistent; contender down in grade Naas race may have been too soon after Ballinrobe win; respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (20/1 -150%)Temple City |
20/1(-150%) | (3) Temple City 20/1, Beaten 9 1/2l in a handicap over 8f at Leopardstown last time; generally out of form in both codes; others preferred Placed three times in Britain for Karl Burke at up to 1m3f; recent form not encouraging. |

Denis Hogan is two-handed here and perhaps his Seamie Heffernan-partnered MONO RIVER remains one to keep the faith with. It's disappointing that the Zarak gelding is still a maiden at this stage, but he has an official rating to give him every chance in this company and can show the benefit of a comeback effort at Roscommon recently. Given that he's a prolific winner and was victorious in this event a couple of years back, Magnetic North is sure to be a popular choice. Pachmena last competed on Derby weekend at the Curragh and will clearly find this level of opposition much less taxing.

Despite misgivings over the quickish ground, PACHMENA gets the vote dropped to claiming company

1st (6) (9/4 +25%)Jeaniemacaroney |
9/4(+25%) | (6) Jeaniemacaroney 9/4, Below form down the field in Paddy And Maureen Mullins Mares Handicap Hurdle (Listed) over 2m2f at Leopardstown most recent; in good form prior; consistent in this sphere; danger Absent since February but entitled to be thereabouts if staying this longer trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (8/13 +65%)Seo Linn |
8/13(+65%) | (7) Seo Linn 8/13, Fourth beaten 8l in an auction race at Fairyhouse latest; Graded bumper winner in spring; sound surface suits; the one to beat on form Smart bumper mare underwhelming so far on the Flat but worth another chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (10/1 -82%)Friary Road |
10/1(-82%) | (2) Friary Road 10/1, Beaten 6 1/4l in a maiden over 1m7f at Leopardstown last time; shaped with promise on debut prior; tongue-tie first time; dual bumper winner; danger Dual bumper winner needs to improve on Flat form shown so far; tongue-tied now. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (14/1 -211%)Nelson Muntz |
14/1(-211%) | (3) Nelson Muntz 14/1, Probably outclassed down the field in a maiden at The Curragh most recent; usually consistent; bit to find Has run well fresh but likely place claims at best here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (100/1 -52%)Hollow Spark |
100/1(-52%) | (5) Hollow Spark 100/1, Down the field in a maiden over 1m7f at Leopardstown most recent; 2m hurdles winner in autumn; lot to find and looks one for handicaps No show on rare Flat outing in Leopardstown amateur maiden last month; of limited appeal. |

6th (1) (150/1 -50%)El Galvino |
150/1(-50%) | (1) El Galvino 150/1, Well beaten in a 4yo bumper over 2m1f at Killarney only start; off a short-break; all to do Half-brother to a winning hurdler; market likely best guide on belated debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (66/1 -164%)Rocket Spirit |
66/1(-164%) | (4) Rocket Spirit 66/1, Probably needed race comfortably held in a maiden hurdle over 2m4f at Wexford last time; in moderate form over hurdles prior; off a long absence; all to do Placed hurdler but two earlier Flat runs were poor; hard to fancy. |

It may be tempting to row in behind Aintree festival heroine Seo Linn, but she's been expensive to follow in recent times. Ted Walsh runners are ignored at one's peril at this venue, and FRIARY ROAD is the choice as he presumably builds towards something at the likes of Galway. The dual bumper scorer is unlikely to remain a maiden at this discipline for too long, and it'll be interesting to see if the addition of a tongue-strap can bring about some improvement. Back from a hurdling campaign, off a break, Jeaniemacaroney could prove more of a threat than the higher-rated Nelson Muntz.

Despite coming up short in her two Flat runs, smart bumper mare SEO LINN is worth another chance

5/1(-50%) | (1) No Niki No 5/1, Ran to form 5l third in a handicap over 1m5f at Ballinrobe most recent run; just 1lb above last winning mark; strong stayer at the trip; threat Ballinrobe run encouraging and front-running style could suit here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (14/1 +22%)La Dame Blanche |
14/1(+22%) | (3) La Dame Blanche 14/1, Made too much use of down the field in a handicap over 2m at The Curragh most recent; should come on for the run; on last winning mark; must bounce back down in trip Probably needed recent Curragh comeback run; drops in class here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (7/2 +71%)Oriole |
7/2(+71%) | (4) Oriole 7/2, Slowly away beaten 8l in a handicap over 8f at Cork last time; generally out of form; top jockey back on board; off a short-break; back below last winning mark; outsider Both runs this term over an inadequate 1m; more expected of now back at more suitable trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (7/4 +42%)Fratas |
7/4(+42%) | (2) Fratas 7/4, Below par fourth beaten 5 1/4l in a handicap over 1m5f at Ballinrobe latest; in good form in both codes prior; could prove tough to peg back Just edged out of third by No Niki No at Ballinrobe; should be thereabouts again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) (9/2 -80%)Star Mind |
9/2(-80%) | (7) Star Mind 9/2, Well backed beaten 3/4l off 60 over 7f at Roscommon last time; running back into form; well treated on old efforts; in the mix if stamina holds up but that is a worry Strong-finishing second over shorter trips of late; big player if she stays. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (11/1 +8%)Inchiquin Star |
11/1(+8%) | (6) Inchiquin Star 11/1, Ideally suited by trip when scored by a nose off 60 over 1m6f at Gowran Park penultimate start; tenth beaten 20l off 63 last time; place claims Didn't seem to stay 2m latest; drop back in trip could suit so don't rule out. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (25/1 -213%)Leitzel |
25/1(-213%) | (5) Leitzel 25/1, Hampered early, never competitive down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m2f at Sligo most recent; fair mark on best UK flat form; worth another chance Has been hurdling in recent years, of limited appeal back on the Flat. |

Fratas has to be very much considered as she's pretty consistent and tough. Inchiquin Star has the capability to get involved on her best form with Joey Sheridan taking the reins for the first time. The vote, though, goes to STAR MIND. She has been a beaten favourite the last twice, but hasn't done much wrong with second place finishes. Going up in distance can see the selection gain a deserved win.

Quite an open-looking fillies handicap in which a chance is taken on STAR MIND staying the trip

8/1(+11%) | (6) Gotta Catch'em All 8/1, Below par well beaten in a handicap over 10f at Navan latest; cheekpieces first time; off a short-break; form going the wrong way 11-race maiden whose best form came towards the end of last season, suited by an ease. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) (18/1 +45%)Quare Fast |
18/1(+45%) | (8) Quare Fast 18/1, Beaten 4l off 45 at Limerick last time; hood first time; inconsistent in short career; bit to find on these terms In rear at Limerick when 5lb out of the handicap, 11lb wrong this time, safe to rule out. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (12/1 -140%)Bambeano |
12/1(-140%) | (5) Bambeano 12/1, Slowly away beaten 3l off 61 over 10f at Down Royal last time; sound surface suits; longer trip no issue; contender Has run well in two of her three turf outings this year, almost two years since last win. |

Declan Queally's new recruit HAWKESBURY LEGEND might be capable of providing connections with a quick return on investment. The former Kevin Philippart De Foy inmate began for the local handler in the first three-year-old hurdle of the season at Tipperary recently. Completely friendless in the betting on that occasion, the Nathaniel gelding put in a performance in keeping with market expectations. New headgear is deployed now, and a talented apprentice is booked. Encouragingly Hawkesbury Legend's previous win was gained at Brighton, so he ought not to have a problem with the demands of Tramore. Previous winners at the venue, Rockview Consort and Out On Friday, are among the others that need considering.

Despite a poor run over hurdles at Tipperary last week HAWKESBURY LEGEND can add to the 1m2f win gained on his final British start

9/1(+18%) | (7) Tastyee 9/1, Beaten 3 1/4l off 50 over 10f at Cork last time; in poor form over hurdles prior; reduced mark not enough to recommend This year's Flat form provides little encouragement but it might be rash to rule her out. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (11) (18/1 -50%)Anjah |
18/1(-50%) | (11) Anjah 18/1, Probably needed race well beaten in a handicap over 11f at Sligo latest; in good form prior; off a short-break; well treated on AW efforts; interesting at a price Off the mark at Dundalk last autumn on 34th start, may have needed the run at Sligo in May. |

20/1(+50%) | (9) Arthur's Victory 20/1, Ran to form benefitting from first time tongue tie comfortably held in a handicap hurdle over 2m1f at Clonmel last time; generally out of form; bit to find Last five runs have been over hurdles, best Flat form in Britain at 7f/1m. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (2) (50/1 +24%)Lady Leanora |
50/1(+24%) | (2) Lady Leanora 50/1, Needed run down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m1f at Clonmel most recent; usually consistent in this sphere; others appeal more 1m winner for Dermot Weld in 2021, has struggled in two runs over hurdles for this stable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (12) (80/1 -186%)Winged Victory |
80/1(-186%) | (12) Winged Victory 80/1, Looked regressive down the field in a handicap over 11f at Dundalk most recent; blinkers first time; usually held up; bit to find Struggled in two handicap attempts late last year, blinkers now instead of cheekpieces. |

Tramore specialist Itsalonglongroad will justifiably be appealing to many, but it's another that's been competing over jumps, SPINNING WEB, that gets the nod. He's got plenty of time on his side yet, as a five-year-old, and he's still off a very workable mark in this sphere. Your Honor has slipped down the handicap and may be worth a chance back on a sounder surface.

A hopeful vote goes to SPINNING WEB who was consistent on the Flat in 2023 and won twice over fences earlier this year.

15/2(+25%) | (4) Sequoiaspirit 15/2, Ran to form, made too much use of comfortably held in a handicap hurdle over 2m3f at Cork last time; tongue-tie first time; off a short-break; consistent hurdler; in the mix Won over hurdles last year, two of his five Flat wins came in quick succession in May 2023. |

5th (6) (9/2 +59%)Empress Alma |
9/2(+59%) | (6) Empress Alma 9/2, Ran to form beaten 6 1/4l in a handicap over 1m5f at Ballinrobe last time; usually consistent; top course trainer; longer trip no issue; others better treated Three handicap wins last season, well below that standard in three starts this year. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (13/2 -63%)Oh So Charming |
13/2(-63%) | (3) Oh So Charming 13/2, Hampered last, improved up in trip landing a handicap hurdle by a short-head off 109 over 2m4f at Clonmel last time; chance with promise of more to come up in trip Narrow winner of a 2m4f handicap hurdle at Clonmel a month ago, lightly raced on Flat. |

8th (1) (22/1 -57%)Drop The Anchor |
22/1(-57%) | (1) Drop The Anchor 22/1, Thrown in on old form, returned to form back up in trip landing a handicap by 2l off 105 over 2m4f at Fairyhouse last time; off a short-break; well treated on old efforts; contender Best known as a hurdler though he won a big staying prize on the Flat at Naas in 2022. |

One previous Tramore excursion yielded a close up third placing in a handicap hurdle for WALKING ON GLASS, way back in his four-year-old days in 2019. Now at the veteran stage and with vast experience under his belt, this looks a good assignment for Padraig Roche's charge. Sam Coen's claim can only be seen as a positive to the chances of the Big Bad Bob gelding, and his latest effort, when third in a Punchestown handicap hurdle, was encouraging. Lord Erskine is still doing his connections proud and seems sure to go well in his quest to repeat 2023's success in this marathon. Sequoiaspirit hasn't run on the Flat since last summer but he's not to be dismissed now in a first-time tongue-strap.

Apart from a poor Tipperary run, which can probably be excused, MAKAIAH has shown a level of form that gives her a leading chance

40/1(-150%) | (2) Liss Eile 40/1, Failed to stay down the field in a maiden over 1m5f at Tipperary most recent; bit to find on handicap debut Poor form under Flat rules, showed some ability in bumpers, trip should be fine. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (6) (80/1 -220%)Boston Bongo |
80/1(-220%) | (6) Boston Bongo 80/1, Got racing early, may have found ground a bit quick well beaten in a handicap hurdle at Kilbeggan latest; generally out of form; opposed No threat in two handicap hurdle runs for this stable, poor Flat form early in his career.. |

The market will hopefully be illuminating with regard to the returning RAUZAN, but there's no doubt that the Australia gelding is attractive from a mark of 59 on his first run of 2025. He's two from three in his hurdling endeavours at Tramore, and he last competed in that sphere from a rating of 127. With Wesley Joyce aboard for the first time, the strong stayer may not be long about going on a winning spree to match what he did over hurdles last summer, when he won four on the bounce. Bynx, who won here over hurdles at the start of 2024 and the summer before that too, looks well placed to launch a serious bid, while Duke Otto appeals as a player as well.

This looks like an excellent opportunity for BYNX to open her Flat account at the venue that has been the scene of her two hurdle wins
Ths is the racecard key.
