|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (11/10 +0%)Miss Goldfire |
11/10(+0%) | (3) Miss Goldfire 11/10, Well backed when winning a handicap hurdle here by 15l last time; steadily progressive; strong stayer at 3m; should be thereabouts Had been looking a shade exposed but now seeks a hat-trick after two clearcut wins. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (11/10 +32%)Deep Purple |
11/10(+32%) | (1) Deep Purple 11/10, Ran to form fourth beaten 3l in a handicap hurdle over 2m5f at Warwick latest; that strong form; steadily progressive; step up in trip a plus; threat Point/bumper/maiden winner who wasn't beaten far in a small field on handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (50/1 -100%)Soldier At Arms |
50/1(-100%) | (4) Soldier At Arms 50/1, 27l fourth in a maiden hurdle over 2m4f at Sedgefield first-time out where met trouble; up in trip; hard to recommend Has the weakest form claims of the four after finishing well held in a Sedgefield maiden. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

MISS GOLDFIRE bolted up in handicap company over track and trip last month and she has gone from strength to strength since December. Harry Fry's mare could have more to offer and can complete the hat-trick. Deep Purple finished last of four on his handicap debut at Warwick but sets the standard with an official rating of 119. El Galactico can beat Soldier At Arms home for third.

Deep Purple and El Galactico are definite dangers but MISS GOLDFIRE can win again under 7lb claimer Ciaran O'Shea.

1st (3) (11/8 +73%)Roger Pol |
11/8(+73%) | (3) Roger Pol 11/8, Pulled up in a handicap chase over 3m at Kempton latest where let down by jumping; usually held up; returning from a break; may just need this Last season's chase win came off this mark and he is a maiden winner over hurdles. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (4/1 +20%)Party Business |
4/1(+20%) | (4) Party Business 4/1, Looked to want further fourth beaten 11l in a handicap hurdle at Worcester latest; can race lazily; not the force of old but has dropped in weights; outside chance Has ground to make up with Ernest Gray on their recent Worcester clash. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (5/4 +29%)Pounding Poet |
5/4(+29%) | (2) Pounding Poet 5/4, Did not get a clear run beaten a neck off 117 over 3m at Ayr last time; looked touch unlucky that day; trainer in form; off a short-break; well treated on best form; strong claims Off his reduced mark he staged a revival of sorts when a rallying third at Ayr. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

ERNEST GRAY showed a big chunk of improvement when sporting first-time cheekpieces to score in good style at Worcester last month and the assessor may have been kind to only put him up 4lb. With a similar performance, he will prove tough to beat. Pounding Poet finished a close third in a stronger event at Ayr and is a previous C&D winner to take seriously. Party Business makes more appeal than Roger Pol.

Ernest Gray is 2-2 over hurdles on good ground but POUNDING POET is well handicapped and ran his best race for a while at Ayr.

1st (4) (6/1 +40%)Police Academy |
6/1(+40%) | (4) Police Academy 6/1, Probably needed race comfortably held in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Aintree last time; generally out of form over hurdles and fences; not proven trip; opposed Triple hurdle winner but she's 0-5 over fences and still has stamina to prove at this trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

5/4(+58%) | (3) Harrys Hope 5/4, Probably needed race second beaten 13l in a handicap hurdle over 3m1f at Warwick latest; enjoyed productive autumn over fences on good ground; trainer in form; contender 3-5 over fences and still has scope for more progress; entered 7:40 Warwick on Wednesday. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (11/2 -267%)Lady Jago |
11/2(-267%) | (2) Lady Jago 11/2, Landed a handicap by 2l off 114 over 2m4f at Ludlow last time; hugely progressive; step up in trip not ideal; top jockey back on board; threat but stamina concerns once more Made it 3-7 over fences when scoring at Ludlow; big player again back up in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (12/1 -167%)Lost Connections |
12/1(-167%) | (5) Lost Connections 12/1, Back to form beaten 1 1/4l off 98 over 2m5f at Hereford last time; not proven trip; significant jockey booking; may contend if stamina holds up but that is a worry Runner-up at Hereford in October and has claims if she can pick up where she left off. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (1) (7/1 -27%)Scarlet O'tara |
7/1(-27%) | (1) Scarlet O'tara 7/1, Down the field in 'National Hunt' Mares' Novice Handicap Hurdle (Grade 2) over 2m5f at Newbury most recent where trip too sharp; longer distance a plus on chase debut; big player Triple hurdle winner but she's been out of sorts last twice; bit to prove on chase debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

LADY JAGO accounted for her nearest rival by two lengths at Ludlow last month and she now takes a step back up in trip. The six-year-old is only 2lb higher and looks well placed to complete a double. Scarlet O'Tara has shown a good amount of ability over the smaller obstacles and is an interesting contender on her chasing debut. Of the remainder, Lost Connections makes the most appeal.

This can go to LADY JAGO, who made it 3-7 over fences when scoring at Ludlow and is open to more progress back up in trip.

9/2(+72%) | (3) Windsurfer 9/2, Probably needed race beaten 9 1/4l in a handicap hurdle at Worcester last time but ran well to a point; good ground suits; each way claims Course winner but hasn't been shaping like a winner waiting to happen in handicaps. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (9/1 +0%)Gilbertina |
9/1(+0%) | (4) Gilbertina 9/1, Below par down the field in a handicap hurdle at Cheltenham most recent; in good form prior; tongue-tie first time; squeak but unreliable Exposed hurdler but twice placed (2m4f/2m5f) before going in too deep in a Class 2. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (13/8 +68%)Baltray |
13/8(+68%) | (1) Baltray 13/8, Fell in a handicap hurdle over 2m3f at Fontwell latest when looked huge threat; significant jockey booking; off a short-break; not fully exposed; good mark on maiden win; claims obvious Was going well when departing three out at Fontwell in April; couldn't rule out. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (8) (7/4 +61%)Ghasham |
7/4(+61%) | (8) Ghasham 7/4, Ideally suited by trip well beaten in a handicap over 2m at Kempton latest; up in trip; top jockey back on board; could figure but may need some rain Competitive off this sort of mark during the winter and Sean Bowen is booked. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (28/1 -211%)Golden Identity |
28/1(-211%) | (6) Golden Identity 28/1, Probably needed race comfortably held in a maiden hurdle over 2m at Chepstow last time; yet to build on promising debut; up in trip; bit to find Doesn't look on a strikingly good mark for today's handicap debut but he's up in distance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (14/1 +22%)Clondaw Royale |
14/1(+22%) | (5) Clondaw Royale 14/1, Well beaten in a handicap hurdle over 2m5f at Warwick latest where found ground too quick; bit to find and conditions a concern once more Best form has been on slower ground; tailed off the last twice on good. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Having returned to form with a good second over 2m at Bangor last month, LIPA K could be poised to strike. A 1lb rise in the ratings looks more than fair for the seven-year-old, and a return to 2m4f holds no fears. Ikigai Star is only 3lb higher than his recent triumph at Huntingdon and is feared most, ahead of Ghasham, who has champion jockey Sean Bowen in the plate.

This looks competitive but BALTRAY was moving with purpose when falling last time and he retains plenty of upside.

15/8(+25%) | (3) Hecouldbetheone 15/8, Well backed when scored by 2l off 120 at Plumpton three starts back; second beaten 3 1/2l off 121 last time where did plenty early; enjoys making it; unexposed in this sphere; dangerous if allowed to dictate 0-2 over fences in late 2013; has another go after some competitive runs over hurdles. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (10/3 +79%)No But I Will |
10/3(+79%) | (5) No But I Will 10/3, Pulled up in a handicap chase at Sedgefield latest where hung badly under pressure; off a short-break; bit to find Two good runs in this headgear combination; latest effort was too bad to be true. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (9/4 +44%)Golden Ambition |
9/4(+44%) | (6) Golden Ambition 9/4, Probably needed race fourth beaten 17l in a handicap hurdle over 2m6f at Fontwell latest; completed hurdles double in autumn; trainer in form; more to come now chasing; big player Hurdling form much respected and the blinkers are back on for this chase debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (16/1 -14%)Do Your Job |
16/1(-14%) | (4) Do Your Job 16/1, Ideally suited by trip when scored by 4 1/4l off 115 over 2m3f at Wetherby three starts back; third beaten 36l off 118 last time where unsuited by change of tactics; unlikely to get own way in front here He's not as good as he was and now struggles for consistency. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (2) (13/2 -442%)Salley Gardens |
13/2(-442%) | (2) Salley Gardens 13/2, Well treated at weights when landing a handicap by a length off 114 here last time; that form franked emphatically; can complete hat trick Signed off for Olly Murphy with two good-ground wins; recently sold for £21,000. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (1) (22/1 -57%)Hell Red |
22/1(-57%) | (1) Hell Red 22/1, Second beaten 6l in a conditions race over 3m at Upcott Cross latest; returning from long layoff; enjoys making it; down in trip; needs to prove ability remains on rules return Capable hurdler/chaser for Paul Nicholls; has been holding his own in hunter chases. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Salley Gardens finished his time with Olly Murphy by completing a double when scoring over C&D last month and warrants respect in his bid for a hat-trick. However, a further 5lb rise demands another career best from the son of Yeats, and it could be worth chancing chase-debutant GOLDEN AMBITION. Last month's spin over hurdles at Fontwell should have put the six-year-old spot-on and the reapplication of blinkers can only help. No But I Will is also noted.

Sean Bowen retains the partnership with SALLEY GARDENS despite him being sold out of Olly Murphy's yard. He's 3-5 over fences.

9/2(+36%) | (5) Bluebella 9/2, Unseated in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Ffos Las latest when beaten though did run well to a point; should come on for that; down in trip; could figure One of the favourites on recent stable debut but was on the retreat when departing. |

3rd (2) (7/1 -75%)Milajess |
7/1(-75%) | (2) Milajess 7/1, Bit in hand scored by 5 1/2l off 79 over 2m1f at Sedgefield three starts back; second beaten 5 1/2l off 88 last time where winner got first run; consistent; can make presence felt In form and has a hefty swing in the weights with Auntie Maggie on their Fakenham clash. |

3/1(+40%) | (3) Granny B 3/1, Travelled well beaten 3 1/2l off 80 here last time where just outstayed late; generally in good form; outside chance 0-9 over hurdles but has produced good efforts in defeat here the last twice. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (16/1 0%)She's Got Bottle |
16/1(0%) | (4) She's Got Bottle 16/1, Below par down the field in a novice hurdle at Catterick most recent; generally out of form; flat winner but yet to fire over hurdles; enjoys making it; not proven trip; plenty more needed Tailed off in her three qualifying runs but had a wind op and Flat exploits are respected. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

AUNTIE MAGGIE arrives in fine fettle after resuming winning ways at Stratford on Saturday. She makes a quick reappearance burdened with a 7lb penalty, but Alastair Ralph's charge can make light of that given the ease of her latest success. Milajess has plenty to find with the selection on her second at Fakenham in April, so Granny B may prove the bigger threat after finding only one too good over these hurdles last time.

The suggestion is MILAJESS (nap) who is 16lb better in with Auntie Maggie after chasing her home at Fakenham in April.

50/1(-79%) | (7) Black Tonic 50/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase at Warwick latest where failed to handle track; usually held up; well treated on old Irish form; risky Ex-Irish; 0-11 under rules and not shown much for new yard; plenty to prove at present. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

SCINTILLANTE finally opened his account over hurdles when scoring in convincing fashion at Worcester recently. There could be more to come from the five-year-old now he's got his head in front, and a 4lb rise may not be enough to anchor him in this company. Russian Virtue is potentially well treated if bouncing back to form on his return to hurdling, while the unexposed Junior Des Bordes should be noted debuting for James Owen's in-form yard.

The choice is the well-handicapped CRYSTAL MER, who is taken to get off the mark after a break on his stable debut.
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
