|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (17/2 -31%)City Of Diamonds |
17/2(-31%) | (2) City Of Diamonds 17/2, 8 1/4l third in a maiden hurdle over 2m1f at Bangor-on-Dee most recent run; placed in a point last year; good ground suits; danger Shaped with considerable promise when third on recent hurdle debut; high on the list. |

25/1(+24%) | (5) Maitre De Perles 25/1, Comfortably held in a maiden hurdle at Warwick last time; more to come for top yard but likely one for handicaps after this Shaped well before fading into fifth at Warwick recently; can build on that performance. |

250/1(+0%) | (9) Kingston Joy 250/1, Pulled up in a novice hurdle over 1m7f at Wincanton latest; yet to beat a rival home over hurdles; not proven trip; hard to recommend Pulled up on both hurdling starts; had wind op during 170-day break. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

The winner of a bumper at Kempton before making a successful switch to hurdles over C&D last month, TRUSTINTIMES looks the type to kick on further, despite picking up a 7lb penalty. Similar comments apply to Hope Rising, whose fillies' allowance is a bonus and makes her another key player. City Of Diamonds gained a respectable third on his debut over timber in a maiden at Bangor last month and can also figure if he jumps a little better now he has some experience.

Donald McCain's CITY OF DIAMONDS made a promising hurdle debut when third at Bangor last month and might be the answer.

(2) (5/2 -11%)Manowest |
5/2(-11%) | (2) Manowest 5/2, Well backed when winning a maiden hurdle at Worcester by 1/2l last time relishing step up in trip; trainer in form; threat back in a handicap Stayed on to win Worcester maiden when upped to 2m7f last month; back in a handicap here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (11/4 -47%)Big Bee Hive |
11/4(-47%) | (6) Big Bee Hive 11/4, Ideally suited by trip when landing a handicap by 3 1/2l off 88 over 3m at Southwell last time; remains well treated on chase form; squeak Returned to hurdling with recent Southwell win; still on workable mark after 5lb rise. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (7/2 +56%)Tzarmix |
7/2(+56%) | (3) Tzarmix 7/2, Did not get a clear run comfortably held in a handicap hurdle over 2m6f at Stratford last time; went too fast that day; good mark on autumn form; contender Won a point in April but was safely held on recent hurdle return; cheekpieces refitted. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (9/2 +25%)Magical Arthur |
9/2(+25%) | (1) Magical Arthur 9/2, Probably needed race down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Worcester most recent; step back up in trip a plus; may contend Won three times in the autumn but now needs to get back in the groove. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (17/2 -42%)Lelantos |
17/2(-42%) | (4) Lelantos 17/2, Probably needed race 10l third in a handicap hurdle over 2m6f at Fontwell most recent run but ran well to a point; good ground key; back below last winning mark; of interest Made nothing better than a respectable return last month; needs to come on for the run. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (18/1 -13%)Captain's Pick |
18/1(-13%) | (5) Captain's Pick 18/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Worcester latest; should come on for the outing; others look better treated Battled well to win at Perth last summer but has a fair bit to prove at present. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

MANOWEST coped well with stepping up to this trip when scoring in a game manner at Worcester recently and looks the logical option to side with given that is the best piece of recent form on offer. However, Big Bee Hive's win at Southwell stands up reasonably well and he can put up another bold showing on these terms. Lelantos and Tzarmix are the pick of the remainder.

Preference is for BIG BEE HIVE, who returned to form when back over hurdles at Southwell recently and can cope with a 5lb rise.

11/10(+20%) | (1) Laravie 11/10, Improved when landing a handicap by 3 1/2l off 101 over 2m6f at Stratford last time; steadily progressive; longer trip should suit; can make presence felt Kept on strongly to score in first-time visor at Stratford two weeks ago; big player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (13/8 -8%)Northern Symphonie |
13/8(-8%) | (2) Northern Symphonie 13/8, Well treated at weights when landing a handicap by 2 1/2l off 102 over 3m at Ffos Las last time; form of previous win franked; hugely progressive; could complete 4 timer Made all to complete a hat-trick at Ffos Las last month; seemingly still on the upgrade. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (4/1 +60%)For Gina |
4/1(+60%) | (4) For Gina 4/1, Race came too soon comfortably held in a handicap hurdle over 3m at Southwell last time; off a short-break; good ground suits; may contend if bringing best On a good mark but has not been firing on all cylinders for a good while now. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

LARAVIE won with a bit in hand at Stratford last month and, assuming the visor has the same impact second time around, the mount of Sean Bowen could be hard to beat, with a 6lb higher rating looking a fair assessment. The in-form Northern Symphonie is an obvious danger to the selection but is starting to look vulnerable after going up another 5lb for her most recent success. Midnight Gold is handily weighted and appeals a shade more than For Gina.

Very progressive 5yo NORTHERN SYMPHONIE is on a roll and can make it four wins in a row.

11/4(+31%) | (5) Mr Le Philosophe 11/4, Appeared not to stay 11l third in a handicap hurdle over 2m3f at Newton Abbot most recent run; not proven trip; potential threat if stamina holds up but that is a worry Only third when odds-on last time but can still progress from his stable-debut second. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (3/1 +86%)Jlow |
3/1(+86%) | (7) Jlow 3/1, Below par down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m at Ffos Las most recent; not proven trip; bit to find on all previous hurdle form shown Safely held on both starts for new stable this spring; still worth a market check. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (10/3 -67%)Raby Mere |
10/3(-67%) | (2) Raby Mere 10/3, Well backed when scored by 1 1/2l off 86 at Fakenham penultimate start; third beaten 42l off 93 last time where went too fast; freshened up since; trainer in form; probably bit to come Won on stable debut; well held two days later; may still have more to offer for new yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(13) (5/1 +38%)Danny's Friend |
5/1(+38%) | (13) Danny's Friend 5/1, Probably needed race comfortably held in a handicap hurdle over 2m at Worcester last time where unsuited by drop in trip; up in trip; each way claims Not beaten far on recent stable debut and might come on for the run. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (15/2 -36%)Military Tycoon |
15/2(-36%) | (1) Military Tycoon 15/2, Well backed when scored by 1/2l off 81 over 2m6f at Fontwell three starts back; eighth beaten 63l off 91 last time where failed to handle track; down in trip; needs to improve Flopped badly last month but earlier form makes him a player; new headgear. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (16/1 -45%)Nathanael Greene |
16/1(-45%) | (3) Nathanael Greene 16/1, Probably needed race comfortably held in a novice hurdle over 2m3f at Stratford last time; formerly useful on flat; plenty more needed on all previous hurdle form shown 0-5 over hurdles; considered only if lively in betting before this handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(9) (25/1 -178%)Christian Bruce |
25/1(-178%) | (9) Christian Bruce 25/1, Below par comfortably held in a maiden hurdle over 2m at Southwell last time; step up in trip a plus on handicap debut; can take advantage of lenient opening mark Showed only minor promise in three 2m maiden/novice hurdles; up in trip for handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(14) (28/1 +58%)Jackie Diamond |
28/1(+58%) | (14) Jackie Diamond 28/1, Appeared not to stay comfortably held in a handicap hurdle at Southwell last time; tongue-tie first time; not proven trip; bit to find even off this basement mark Not beaten far at Southwell last month but needs improvement here; tongue-tie added. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (50/1 0%)Liloo D'ores |
50/1(0%) | (6) Liloo D'ores 50/1, Looked regressive comfortably held in a handicap hurdle here last time; struggling since returning from lay off; best watched Second in April, after a long absence, but two disappointing runs have followed. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

RABY MERE was a huge disappointment when being turned over at short odds at Stratford last month, but he can be forgiven as that effort came only two days after his Fakenham triumph. If Olly Murphy's six-year-old brings that winning form to the table, then he could prove difficult to beat. Mr Le Philosophe hasn't finished outside of the top three since joining the James Owen yard and it would be no surprise to see him feature. Perfect Poli looks best of the rest.

Mr Le Philosophe and RABY MERE were beaten at short odds last time but both remain open to improvement for their new stables.

(2) (5/4 +64%)Gale Mahler |
5/4(+64%) | (2) Gale Mahler 5/4, 5l third in a handicap chase over 2m5f at Cartmel most recent run; good mark on hurdle form; more to come but may find this inadequate test Became very inconsistent over hurdles but ran quite well on recent chasing debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (9/4 -50%)Anyharminasking |
9/4(-50%) | (1) Anyharminasking 9/4, Well backed when scored by 3 1/2l off 124 over 2m1f at Newcastle penultimate start; 12th beaten 25l off 128 last time; good mark on hurdle form; finishing effort and strike rate a concern but fair claims on chase debut Regressed over hurdles last season but is still useful; makes chasing debut today. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (5/2 -43%)Willie Shake Hands |
5/2(-43%) | (3) Willie Shake Hands 5/2, Did not get a clear run scored by 1 1/2l off 107 at Hexham penultimate start; second beaten 3l off 112 last time where conceded first run; contender Won gamely on last month's chase debut at Hexham and ran well again there ten days later. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (9/1 0%)He's A Diamond |
9/1(0%) | (4) He's A Diamond 9/1, Below par comfortably held in a novice hurdle over 2m5f at Kelso last time; hood first time; not proven trip; more to come now chasing but may find this inadequate test Maiden hurdle winner for Micky Hammond in March; well beaten twice since; stable debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

WILLIE SHAKE HANDS failed to complete a double when beaten three lengths into second at Hexham last month, but that was still a respectable effort. The son of Mount Nelson competes off an unchanged rating and he looks the one to beat. Gale Mahler finished a fair third in this grade at Cartmel recently and she has to be considered on only her second start over fences. Anyharminasking can beat He's A Diamond home for third.

After a solid start to his chasing career at Hexham last month, WILLIE SHAKE HANDS is arguably the most appealing option.

(2) (15/2 +17%)Prince De Juilley |
15/2(+17%) | (2) Prince De Juilley 15/2, Probably needed race fourth beaten 19l in a handicap hurdle over 2m7f at Worcester latest; good mark on hurdle form; stiff test a plus on chase return; should run well Dual hurdle winner in 2023; not seen over fences since two unconvincing runs in 2023. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (9/1 +25%)Socialiser |
9/1(+25%) | (4) Socialiser 9/1, Below par fourth beaten 14l in a handicap chase at Ffos Las latest; blinkers first time; trainer in form; longer trip should suit; could figure Battled on for fourth at Ffos Las recently; more is needed in new headgear here. |

(7) (11/1 +61%)Williamdeconqueror |
11/1(+61%) | (7) Williamdeconqueror 11/1, Comfortably held in a handicap chase over 3m2f at Newton Abbot last time; generally out of form; off a short-break; bit to find Can't blame the slow ground for this year's disappointing efforts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(8) (25/1 -257%)Thais Toir |
25/1(-257%) | (8) Thais Toir 25/1, Won a point at Tabley by 13l last time; good ground suits; not seen over fences under rules for 3 years; risky Returned from one-year absence with comfortable point win last month; interesting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (33/1 -18%)Tiny Tantrum |
33/1(-18%) | (6) Tiny Tantrum 33/1, Below par comfortably held in a handicap hurdle over 3m1f at Huntingdon last time; generally out of form since lay off; off a short-break; lot to prove 1-22 over hurdles and pulled up in only chase; of interest only if ground becomes taxing. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Olly Murphy has his string in fine form at present and Tropical Speed merits respect with that in mind. He sports cheekpieces for the first time and is a potential improver now sent over fences, but it is SIDE STEPPER that gets the nod. Christian Williams' six-year-old recorded a narrow success over C&D from 4lb lower most recently and with the prospect of more to come, is fancied to repeat the dose. The consistent Another Lord should be thereabouts once again, too.

This looks good for ANOTHER LORD (nap), who followed up his convincing Ffos Las win in April with another good effort last month.

6/4(-200%) | (1) Stumps Or Slips 6/4, Well treated at weights when landing a handicap by 3l off 102 at Perth last time; trainer in form; strong stayer at the trip; can complete hat trick 2-2 for new stable this spring; strong claims if the ground stays good here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (7/4 +68%)Intrepide Sud |
7/4(+68%) | (3) Intrepide Sud 7/4, Well backed 5l third in a handicap chase over 2m1f at Bangor-on-Dee most recent run; that form franked; not proven trip; hurdles winner here; danger if stamina holds up Jumping has been an issue over fences but he was a good third at Bangor last month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (18/5 +52%)Callin Baton Rouge |
18/5(+52%) | (4) Callin Baton Rouge 18/5, Below par fourth beaten 10l in a handicap hurdle over 2m at Fakenham latest; consistent hurdler; not proven trip; could figure if stamina holds up on chase debut Not quite at best on either hurdle start this spring; fell in only previous chase (2023). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (12/1 +33%)Fat Sam |
12/1(+33%) | (2) Fat Sam 12/1, Below par 21l third in a handicap chase over 2m5f at Hereford most recent run where beaten by unexposed rivals; in good form prior; squeak if fit after break Placed in big-field C&D race last summer but without a win since 2022; back from a break. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (18/1 -100%)Catboy |
18/1(-100%) | (5) Catboy 18/1, Probably needed race comfortably held in a handicap hurdle over 2m at Ffos Las last time; fair mark on best hurdle form; outside chance on chase debut Just 1-13 over hurdles but may be the one best equipped to cope if the ground softens. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

STUMPS OR SLIPS had looked in a bit of trouble early on before coming home best of all to complete a quick-fire double at Perth last month. The son of Getaway is 7lb higher and will need a career best to land the hat-trick, but he's clearly thriving and may well be up to it. Intrepide Sud kept on into third over 2m1f at Bangor most recently so is of interest returned to further, while market support for chasing debutant Catboy would be noteworthy.

The most obvious answer is STUMPS OR SLIPS, who is 2-2 for Olly Murphy this spring and can probably make further progress.
Ths is the racecard key.

It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
