14:10 Uttoxeter (Class 4) 23f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

A highly promising second over C&D last time out, GWASH looks the one to beat if building upon that effort and a 3lb rise is offset by Jack Hogan's 3lb claim in the saddle. Going back up to this distance should suit Pike Road after a creditable runner-up over shorter at Hexham in May, while Keel Strand may have disappointed over C&D last time out, but prior to that had won his previous three.

This might go to YOU SOME GIRL, who returned to form with a good effort at Sedgefield 12 days ago. Gwash is feared most.

14:40 Uttoxeter (Class 4) 19f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

THREE PIKES looked to be well on top until proving untidy at the last, which cost him victory at Newton Abbot last month, and the booking of Harry Cobden on this occasion could prove significant as the five-year-old goes up in trip. A capable sort on the level with a mark of 85, Percy Shelley is an intriguing recruit to these ranks for leading connections and must enter calculations, along with Thoughtsarethings.

Percy Shelley was useful on the Flat but slight preference is for the proven jumping ability of THREE PIKES.

15:10 Uttoxeter (Class 4) 15f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Now that HAREL DU MARAIS has regained the winning thread after a taking performance at Market Rasen last month, the son of Al Namix should have plenty more improvement to come off 3lb higher. He gets the vote ahead of Cartmel runner-up Beny Nahar Road, and Obsessedwithyou, who has scored on two of her last three starts. El Borracho and Gwennie May Jem are capable of being in the shake-up as well.

The suggestion is ASLUKWOODHAVIT (nap), who is well handicapped if judged on his 2m4f second here in June and sports new headgear here.

15:40 Uttoxeter (Class 3) 24f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Four from five since switching to the larger obstacles in January, there is no doubt that BUMPY EVANS is a chaser on the up. The latest of those victories, which came at Cartmel, was the most impressive of all. The handicapper has had his say in the meantime, hitting the gelding with a whopping 17lb rise, but, given his progressive profile, it might not be enough. Olivers Travels was a comfortable winner over that same C&D latest and is a threat from 6lb higher, while the returning Flegmatik should not be overlooked.

A few warrant consideration but the answer might be stout stayer FEVER DREAM, who is 2-5 since his wind op in March.

16:10 Uttoxeter (Class 4) 19f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Back over jumps at Worcester latest having spent a brief spell on the Flat, OSLO beat all bar the outsider of the field. That effort signalled a clear return to form and if able to back it up, compensation looks a real possibility from 1lb higher. Recent Fontwell scorer Goodwin merits respect under a 7lb penalty, as does Audacious Annie, who returns from a 155-day absence in search of her hat-trick. Jhentong Enki has yet to truly shine in this sphere, but market support would be noteworthy on his first start for the Ben Pauling team.

Goodwin got his career back on track last week but a speculative alternative to consider is ELOGIO, who has slipped to a good mark.

16:40 Uttoxeter (Class 5) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

There was a lot to like about MY VIRTUE's second-placed finish over 2m5f at Cartmel last month and she has a decent chance of breaking her duck over fences with this slightly shorter trip in her favour. Jipekaa Machin has ability over hurdles and is an appealing contender switching to fences for a yard that knows the time of day with chasers. I Am Rocco and Let Me Go Boys are others for the shortlist.

Shantou Lucky would be respected if turning out after yesterday's win but I AM ROCCO is the alternative selection.

17:10 Uttoxeter (Class 5) 15f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

A cosy winner over C&D on his penultimate start, DIESEL LINE returns to this venue with a solid chance of further success. Faster ground was his undoing at Stratford most recently and the seven-year-old looks well worth another chance back here off the same mark. Handicap debutant Spectre One merits close inspection in the betting now he goes with a tongue-tied added, while Portcammon is another potential improver now he tries the same application combined with cheekpieces.

Patient tactics did not pay off for PORTCAMMON here last time and he's better judged on his Bangor third two starts ago.
