1st (1) (2/5 +40%)Lady Jago |
2/5(+40%) | (1) Lady Jago 2/5, Ideally suited by trip when landed handicap by 3l off 102 over 3m1f at Wincanton last time; usually held up; good ground key; can follow up Returned to form with small-field win last month and can cope with a 3lb rise; good chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (10/3 -11%)Shesupincourt |
10/3(-11%) | (3) Shesupincourt 10/3, Well backed when scored by 14l off 80 at Leicester three starts back; fourth beaten 10l off 88 last time ending consistent run; big danger Won on heavy ground in February and both subsequent good-ground runs were very respectable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (9/1 -50%)Annie Don |
9/1(-50%) | (4) Annie Don 9/1, Raced freely comfortably held in a maiden hurdle over 2m1f at Doncaster last time; inconsistent; trainer in form; possible improver on chase debut Unexposed mare; safely held in three 2m hurdles but may fare better over fences. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (22/1 -57%)Universal Brook |
22/1(-57%) | (2) Universal Brook 22/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase over 2m5f at Ffos Las latest where looked unwilling; absent for very lengthy period; bit to find Pulled up in two maiden points last month, after a long absence; too risky. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

LADY JAGO opened her account over fences with a convincing win at Wincanton a fortnight ago and will likely start a warm order. Dan Skelton's six-year-old has her favoured conditions again and can follow up with Harry Skelton taking over the reins. Shesupincourt may prove best of the opposition returning to this shorter distance, given she won over it at Leicester in February. Annie Don is preferred to Universal Brook of the remaining pair.

The most obvious answer is LADY JAGO, who went up only 3lb for her recent Wincanton win and can cope with the return to shorter.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (7) (125/1 -89%)Mawlood |
125/1(-89%) | (7) Mawlood 125/1, Looked regressive well beaten in a handicap hurdle over 2m5f at Market Rasen latest; generally out of form; not proven trip; hard to recommend In modest form over fences/hurdles in 2024; 9lb wrong back from a layoff. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (4) (20/1 +39%)Boom Boom |
20/1(+39%) | (4) Boom Boom 20/1, Fell early in a handicap chase here latest; returning from a break; form going the wrong way; opposed Good-ground hurdle winner; had excuses for chase runs; off since early fall in November. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

ISKAR D'AIRY made every yard to win at Huntingdon before finding only one too good at Hereford. He looks worthy of another chance on his preferred ground and can edge out Orbys River, who should make her presence felt once again, despite a 6lb rise for a Bangor triumph. Gwennie May Jem must be noted for the Skelton yard having only his third outing over fences.

Orbys River and ISKAR D'AIRY are both promising but the continuing dry spell could play more in the selection's favour.

250/1(-150%) | (5) Glen Affric 250/1, Pulled up in a maiden hurdle over 2m4f at Wetherby latest; not proven trip; all to do Struggled to get competitive on bumper debut and on both subsequent hurdling starts. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

AUDACIOUS ANNIE won a maiden hurdle at Wetherby with plenty in hand, despite a mistake at the last. Jamie Snowden's charge can defy a penalty with plenty more to come from her. I've Madeupmymind is also burdened with a penalty after winning a maiden over a shorter trip on testing going at Bangor, but My Bobby's Lass may prove a bigger threat returning to novice company after landing a handicap at Hereford.

The BHA ratings give I've Madeupmymind a slight edge over AUDACIOUS ANNIE but the latter's winning form has much more depth to it.

7/2(+59%) | (2) Magical Escape 7/2, Below par fourth beaten 46l in a handicap hurdle over 2m7f at Exeter latest where unable to dominate; good mark on 2024 form; in the mix in tight contest Became disappointing over fences this season and was well beaten on return to hurdling. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

CAN'T BEAT HISTORY made it four wins out of his last five starts to sign off his season over fences at Market Rasen in July last year. Prior to that display, he struck in this sphere at the same venue and if ready to rock on his return to the fray, he looks the one to beat. Tiger Jet finished a good second at Haydock last month and should go well, while Magical Escape is preferred to Roxboro River.

Preference is for TIGER JET, who got his career back on track with a fairly good second on good ground at Haydock last month.

11/2(-57%) | (8) Rock On Tommy 11/2, Bit too much to do beaten a head off 78 over 2m4f at Southwell last time; may contend Not the force of old but went close off a career-low mark last month; a possible. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

GRAHAM failed to justify favouritism but was far from disgraced when hitting the woodwork at Kempton earlier in the month and is just 2lb higher. With first-time blinkers applied and the step back up in trip possibly aiding his cause, he could be the one to beat. Rock On Tommy was beaten a head at Southwell and should remain competitive off a 3lb higher rating. Allbetsoff looks best of the rest.

Mark Walford's ALLBETSOFF seemed to have turned a corner in his two outings last month and is selected to exploit a favourable mark.

11/1(-175%) | (9) Seasett 11/1, Below par comfortably held in a handicap hurdle at Limerick last time; sound surface suits; each way shout off light weight Took step back in right direction at Limerick this month and remains on a good mark. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

LUMI PLUGIN made his way through the field to strike at Plumpton on his most recent start and may have more to offer. The six-year-old looks to have lots in his favour and can go in again. It was hard not to be impressed by Mammies Boy's four-length success at Huntingdon when last seen just under a year ago and he holds an obvious chance if fit. Of the remainder, the unexposed Queens Wish makes the most appeal.

The selection is LUMI PLUGIN (nap) who beat a next-time-out winner when opening his account at Plumpton last month.
Ths is the racecard key.
