13:43 Wetherby (Class 4) 19f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Grade 2 bumper runner-up DESTINATION DUBAI had little difficulty making the switch to hurdles at Hexham in May, and he could be worth following this season. Although the six-year-old must shoulder a 7lb penalty for that success, Nick Slatter negates much of it with his 5lb claim, and further glory may be imminent. Herja supplemented her maiden triumph with a good second at Perth 20 days ago and she's feared most, ahead of The Clonmel Kid.

It's hard to see beyond DESTINATION DUBAI, who looked very useful in bumpers last season and signed off in May with an easy hurdle win.

14:13 Wetherby (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

ANACONDA brings some useful French form to the table and he could take all the beating if performing to a similar level on his British/stable debut. Judged on his Flat exploits, the Lucinda Russell and Michael Scudamore-trained gelding shouldn't be inconvenienced by quicker ground conditions and he is fancied to defy a 7lb penalty. Genbu has finished third on all four hurdle outings to date and should put his experience to good use, while Stitching Wheel has shown enough on the level to suggest he could be involved too.

The winner of a French claiming hurdle in pretty good style in the spring, ANACONDA can strike again on this British debut.

Having only been collared in the closing stages on his return to action at Kelso last month, compensation could be on the cards for PRIMOZ. A 1lb rise looks more than fair and he edges the vote over Torneo. Jamie Snowden's gelding was a progressive novice chaser last season and there could be more to come. Parisencore may fare best of the remainder.

Primoz is respected but PARISENCORE also has some good course form on his CV and he is taken to exploit a favourable mark.

SALIGO BAY has been in fine fettle across both codes recently and further glory could be imminent. Sam England's charge landed a nice purse at Market Rasen last month and is expected to go well from 3lb higher. A 2lb rise is unlikely to prevent another bold showing from Perth runner-up Evaluation, who could give the selection most to think about ahead of Paddys Policy.

This looks good for CAELAN (nap), who beat a next-time-uot winner in a recent maiden and can improve again in handicaps.

MAGISTRATO could hardly have won any easier the last twice, and an 11lb rise for his most recent success at Bangor-on-Dee looks manageable. Sean Bowen takes over from his brother in the saddle with a hat-trick on the cards. Sail Away shaped well on his return to action over an extended 3m1f at Warwick last month and though this trip may not be ideal, he is a player. Mahons Glory has been progressive since joining Dylan Cunha and is more than capable too.

The answer might be MAHONS GLORY, who has performed very well on all four starts for his new stable since March.

EASTER ICON has done well under both codes over the past year. He appeared to hold every chance when unseating his rider at the last at Southwell last December but although a mark of 103 will make life tougher, he has won when fresh previously. The veteran Red Force One could him the most to think about following a strong runner-up effort over 2m5f at Kelso recently. Romeo Brown and Victory Club may also have a say in proceedings.

This might go to THANK YOU BLUE, who seemed to have turned a corner when keeping on for fifth over 2m4f last month.

Denied by the narrowest of margins on just his second start over fences at Worcester last month, SECRET TRIX now drops in trip and is taken to go one place better. An unchanged mark and forecast good ground are both positives, and the returning Old Gregorian will likely need a career-best performance. The chasing debutant steps up in trip, though, which could spark some improvement.

Old Gregorian may have greater chasing potential than SECRET TRIX in the longer term but the latter may have a fitness edge here.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
