1st (2) (1/8 +90%)The Four Sixes |
1/8(+90%) | (2) The Four Sixes 1/8, Went clear and travelled readily when winning a handicap hurdle at Ayr over 2m5f by 6l last time; unlucky in this race last year and has improved again back up in trip; trainer in form; the speed and form selection. PU in two previous chases but ended last season showing much improved hurdle form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (5/1 +44%)Musique De Fee |
5/1(+44%) | (3) Musique De Fee 5/1, Rallied gamely to outbattle the runner-up when winning a handicap hurdle at Cartmel over 3m1f by a nose last time; enjoys making the running and looks a value selection based on her overall form. This looks a big ask on chase debut over a distance well shy of what she wants. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Musique De Fee secured a fifth career victory at Cartmel 158 days ago and has the attributes to excel on her first appearance over the larger obstacles, although she is likely to find an extended 2m3f an inadequate test. With that in mind, proceedings are more than likely to be dominated by the hat-trick seeking The Four Sixes and Grade 2 novice hurdle winner SIXMILEBRIDGE, with the latter a touch more appealing on his debut over fences.

Fergal O'Brien's SIXMILEBRIDGE reached a level over hurdles to suggest he could be one of the better British novice chasers this season.

1st (1) (4/11 +27%)Blue Carpet |
4/11(+27%) | (1) Blue Carpet 4/11, Made a promising hurdle debut back from a break when second, beaten 12l in a novice hurdle over 2m at Chepstow last time. Effective at 2m, handles any ground, and has more to come over hurdles for a top yard. Bumper winner and chased home a very good prospect on his hurdling debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (12/1 -50%)Milan Park |
12/1(-50%) | (2) Milan Park 12/1, Improved to finish a 5 1/4l third in a bumper over 2m1f at Newcastle on his latest start. The trainer is in good form, though further progress will be needed to feature here. Long absences already a feature in profile but has shown ability in bumpers. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (5/2 +9%)Ballylicky Bay |
5/2(+9%) | (4) Ballylicky Bay 5/2, Showed promise on bumper debut, overcoming greenness to win over 2m1f at Bangor-on-Dee by a head. Returns from a break and looks a value selection on overall form. Won a weak bumper at Bangor; today's longer trip should assist on hurdling debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

There were plenty of positives to be taken from BLUE CARPET's second-placed hurdles/seasonal bow at Chepstow and this looks a suitable opportunity to build on it. That experience could prove decisive against timber newcomers Ballylicky Bay and Milan Park, with the former viewed as the bigger danger. Kevin Pickard's mare displayed a willing attitude to score on her Rules debut in a bumper at Bangor in June.

This does look BLUE CARPET's race to lose. The best of these in bumpers, he probably ran into a good horse on his hurdling debut.

1st (6) (12/1 +33%)Singapore Trip |
12/1(+33%) | (6) Singapore Trip 12/1, Out of form and may prefer easier ground after finishing down the field in a handicap hurdle at Hexham last time; in the mix. Won off 9lb higher in May 2024 but well below that level in seven subsequent races. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (15/2 -7%)Camarrate |
15/2(-7%) | (5) Camarrate 15/2, Did not find much when down the field in a handicap over 2m at Ripon last time; likes to make the running and looks progressive, may stay a bit further. Dual novice hurdle winner who is 0-4 in handicaps; well held on the Flat after wind op. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (7/2 -5%)Glen Road |
7/2(-5%) | (4) Glen Road 7/2, Improved on recent form up in trip after a break, landing a handicap by 3l off 102 over 2m7f at Bangor-on-Dee last time; has a chance. Not overly consistent last season but won two of his last three handicaps; had wind op. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (10/11 +64%)High Dancer |
10/11(+64%) | (2) High Dancer 10/11, Ran to form when beaten 1/2l off a mark of 111 over 2m7f at Kelso on handicap debut last time; the pick on overall form. Won a 3m point and was on the upgrade when signing off for former trainer James Ewart. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (16/1 -14%)Fourofakind |
16/1(-14%) | (3) Fourofakind 16/1, A bit too free when down the field in a handicap hurdle at Perth last time; effective at around 2 1/2m and has been in moderate form in both codes. Has looked out of sorts on the Flat and over hurdles this year. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (8/1 -357%)Williethebuilder |
8/1(-357%) | (1) Williethebuilder 8/1, Below form when 33l third in a handicap chase over 2m at Hereford on his latest run; worth another chance. Last season started well at this track and on a competitive mark for his stable debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

The market may prove informative with the majority of these reappearing, although HIGH DANCER ticks plenty of the right boxes on form. Previously under the tutelage of James Ewart, the five-year-old supplemented a triumph at Haydock with a close-up second at Kelso in April and a 3lb higher mark looks workable. Dual hurdles winner Glen Road proved progressive last season and must also enter the reckoning, along with Camarrate.

Improving one that leaves Dan Skelton is asking a lot but WILLIETHEBUILDER (nap) is on a good mark and hit the ground running last term.

1st (5) (8/1 +56%)Minella Study |
8/1(+56%) | (5) Minella Study 8/1, Improved when second, beaten a neck in a handicap at Musselburgh latest. Holds an outside chance. Won a Tipperary maiden hurdle in July and runner-up in his subsequent Flat races. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (2/5 +20%)Ammes |
2/5(+20%) | (1) Ammes 2/5, Yard won this last year; when winning a juvenile hurdle at Chepstow by 11l last time. Stays 2m and acts on good ground; effective over 12f on the Flat where consistent in high-end handicaps, could be a very useful hurdles recruit. Useful Flat racer and a comfortable winner of both his races over hurdles. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (8) (14/1 -100%)Tralee Girl |
14/1(-100%) | (8) Tralee Girl 14/1, Yard has won two of the last five runnings of this race; outclassed when beaten 9 1/4l in a handicap over 1m6f at Newmarket (July) last time. Off a short break and has a bit to find. Three Flat wins; not entirely dismissed as a 3yo filly receiving weight all round. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) (10/3 +44%)The Bellhop |
10/3(+44%) | (7) The Bellhop 10/3, Quickened clear cosily on a very promising hurdles debut when winning a juvenile hurdle at Fontwell over 2m2f by 11l last time. Effective at 2m on good ground; yard does well with similar types and there should be more to come. Lightly raced Flat maiden who won easily on hurdling introduction at Fontwell. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (50/1 -127%)Enziya |
50/1(-127%) | (2) Enziya 50/1, Well treated up 2lb and ran to form when winning a handicap at Navan over 1m6f by 1 1/2l last time. Off a short break and plenty more needed. Dual Flat winner; unlikely to be good enough to win a race of this nature on hurdle debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (150/1 -50%)Faire La Nouba |
150/1(-50%) | (3) Faire La Nouba 150/1, May have found the ground too testing when down the field in a handicap over 11f at Listowel most recently. Effective over 10-12f on the Flat, acts on good ground and possibly a bit flattered by maiden form. Modest Flat maiden in Ireland who was a well-held seventh over hurdles. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (6) (40/1 -122%)Shooting |
40/1(-122%) | (6) Shooting 40/1, Ran poorly on the Flat when beaten 7l in a handicap over 11f at Avenches last time. Wears a tongue-tie for the first time and could figure. Showed in France that he can jump, winning on good ground at Nimes in April. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (4) (50/1 -79%)Genbu |
50/1(-79%) | (4) Genbu 50/1, Fortunate winner due to a late faller when taking a juvenile hurdle here by 7 1/2l last time. Trainer in form; effective at 2m on good ground, and Flat form suggests he'll handle some cut, but may struggle to defy a penalty. Recent C&D winner but already beaten by Ammes and very much up against it. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

James Owen trained last year's winner and this prize looks at the mercy of AMMES. The smart Flat handicapper followed a maiden hurdle success with an impressive display under a penalty at Chepstow and will likely prove a warm order to complete the hat-trick. The Bellhop could prove the biggest danger given his emphatic win at Fontwell. That looks stronger form than Genbu's recent C&D success, while Shooting is worth a second glance.

It's difficult to get away from AMMES, who was the best of these on the Flat and he goes unpenalised for winning two juvenile hurdles.

1st (6) (6/4 -65%)Thistle Ask |
6/4(-65%) | (6) Thistle Ask 6/4, Went clear comfortably to score by 7l off 115 over 2m1f at Kelso last time; front-running type effective at 2m who acts on good and good to soft ground; wears bandages and lightly raced but progressive. Made all last week at Kelso; 2lb well in with a penalty and very lightly raced for an 8yo. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (4/1 +60%)Inedit Star |
4/1(+60%) | (4) Inedit Star 4/1, Ran to form when beaten 2l off a mark of 129 over 2m4f at Sandown last time; looks a value option based on the balance of his form. Last season ended well; every chance off this mark if he's on the ball after his break. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (50/1 -213%)Prairie Wolf |
50/1(-213%) | (3) Prairie Wolf 50/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase over 2m5f at Ayr on latest start; may prefer slightly easier ground. Inconsistent but has returned to a realistic mark if a wind operation has done the trick. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (9/4 +32%)Magistrato |
9/4(+32%) | (5) Magistrato 9/4, Won cosily, probably improved though didn't beat much when landing a handicap by 31l off 123 here last time; enjoys making the running, effective from 2m to 2½m, and thriving at present. Has been dominating small fields; up the weights but bold bid expected on favoured going. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (15/2 +17%)Tommy's Oscar |
15/2(+17%) | (1) Tommy's Oscar 15/2, Had every chance and ran to form when finishing 10l third in a handicap chase over 2m1f at Kelso on his latest outing; an admirably consistent veteran at 2m. Struggling to win but admirably consistent and continues to edge down the weights. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (10/1 -33%)Homme Public |
10/1(-33%) | (2) Homme Public 10/1, Made some mistakes but ran to form when second, beaten 4l, in the Scotty Brand Handicap Chase over 2m1f at Ayr last time; a consistent type with form that has since been franked. Mixed hurdles with fences last season and mostly consistent regardless of the discipline. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

A competitive renewal could go the way of MAGISTRATO. Deborah Cole's progressive chaser had no trouble seeing off his only rival over C&D last time and the four-timer beckons, with a 5lb rise unlikely to prevent another strong challenge. Recent Kelso winner Thistle Ask is another on the upgrade and he could land a blow, while the returning Homme Public also enters calculations off his current mark and makes more appeal than Inedit Star.

Magistrato and Thistle Ask might just set this up for a late player and INEDIT STAR ended last season in excellent form.

4/1(-129%) | (8) Princesse Milania 4/1, Trainer won this last year. Went clear with ease and improved after wind surgery when landing a handicap by 9½l off 83 over 3m1f at Plumpton last time. Second run after the operation; effective at 3m on good to soft or good ground and looks on a fair mark. Picked up for £13,000 after winning a 3m1f handicap at Plumpton for Olly Murphy. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (17/2 +47%)Wasthatok |
17/2(+47%) | (7) Wasthatok 17/2, Raced a bit freely and had too much to do when beaten 3l off 59 over 1m6f at Catterick last time. A 2m hurdles winner in Ireland but a maiden on the Flat and currently in poor form. Nicely treated on some of his hurdle form and running well on the Flat in recent weeks. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (11) (5/1 +9%)Lillistar |
5/1(+9%) | (11) Lillistar 5/1, Improved on recent form when stepped up in trip, winning a handicap by 3/4l off 46 over 2m1f at Wolverhampton last time. A contender here. Recent 2m winner on the AW and has been competitive in handicap hurdles. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (7/2 +46%)Thank You Blue |
7/2(+46%) | (2) Thank You Blue 7/2, Up in trip and probably failed to stay when beaten 8l in a handicap hurdle over 3m here last time. Effective from 2m to 2½m and acts on good ground. Has bounced back with reasonable efforts at Uttoxeter (2m4f) and here (3m). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (25/1 -79%)Dalileo |
25/1(-79%) | (6) Dalileo 25/1, Ran to form but tired late on ground softer than ideal when beaten 9l in a handicap hurdle over 3m at Perth last time. In good form before that and generally a consistent veteran who prefers 3m on good ground. Has run three respectable races already this month and unlikely to be far away. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (12) (22/1 +12%)East Eagle |
22/1(+12%) | (12) East Eagle 22/1, Raced too freely and finished down the field in a handicap hurdle over 3m here most recently. Effective at 3m on good ground but in poor form. Shock winner after wind op at Southwell in April (3m, good) but nothing positive since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (10) (12/1 -50%)Moro Rock |
12/1(-50%) | (10) Moro Rock 12/1, Offered no obvious excuse when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle over 2m7f at Market Rasen last time. Effective at 3m on good ground but inconsistent and may want further. Hasn't kicked on from his Stratford win (3m2f) and this trip looks on the sharp side. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (3) (8/1 -60%)Bannister |
8/1(-60%) | (3) Bannister 8/1, Keen but travelled well and ran to form, just outbattled late when beaten 3l off 101 over 2m3f at Market Rasen last time. Usually held up; effective around 2¼m and acts on good ground. Five-time winner over hurdles and ran well when a beaten favourite at Market Rasen. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (4) (25/1 +50%)Simpletwistoffaith |
25/1(+50%) | (4) Simpletwistoffaith 25/1, Up in trip and may not have stayed when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle over 2m6f at Galway last time. A frustrating maiden in both codes who looks tripless. Latest 14l defeat at Galway was a small step in the right direction but will need more. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (9) (8/1 +33%)Cap Ricochet |
8/1(+33%) | (9) Cap Ricochet 8/1, Made a bit too much use of himself back from a break and needed the run when fourth, beaten 26l in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Hexham last time. Effective around 2m and should improve for that reappearance. May have needed the run after a break when beaten 26l on handicap/stable debut at Hexham. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (1) (13/2 +54%)Elogio |
13/2(+54%) | (1) Elogio 13/2, Made too much use of and was well beaten in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Uttoxeter last time. Effective at around 2½m but has been out of form this year. Made a respectable start for this yard but hasn't been so clever the last twice. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (5) (66/1 -65%)Gustavo Goodway |
66/1(-65%) | (5) Gustavo Goodway 66/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Hexham last time. Returns from a short break and looks to need further. A winner in Ireland but 40-1 when pulled up on stable debut at Hexham two months ago. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Wind surgery coupled with a step up in distance worked the oracle for Princesse Milania, who is 4lb well-in under a penalty having bolted up at Plumpton. Now in the care of Mark Walford, the mare should go close if able to cope with the drop in trip. That said, preference is still for LILLISTAR, who arrives having won on the Flat at Wolverhampton. With more to offer in this sphere, she could progress to open her hurdles account. Bannister is just one more to consider.

The penalised PRINCESSE MILANIA showed improved form to win at Plumpton and she can make a successful stable debut.

10/3(-21%) | (3) Duel Au Soleil 10/3, Had too much to do but lacked the speed of the winner, ran to form when second beaten 4l in a novice hurdle over 2m3f at Stratford; cheekpieces first time, returning from a break, and may improve when upped in trip. Runner-up in 2m2f novices the last twice; cheekpieces added after a wind operation. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (10) (15/2 +12%)Belladinotte |
15/2(+12%) | (10) Belladinotte 15/2, Made mistakes and had too much to do having conceded first run when beaten 1½l off 79 over 3m here last time; effective at 3m on good ground but inconsistent. Back to form when runner-up here 16 days ago over 3m; the drop in trip is offputting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (11) (10/1 +50%)Matoury |
10/1(+50%) | (11) Matoury 10/1, Keen and outpaced, a bit below form but stayed the longer trip well when fourth beaten 10l in a handicap hurdle over 3m at Southwell last time; effective between 2½m and 3m but inconsistent. Has looked high in the weights since going up 7lb for winning at Market Rasen in June. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) (11/2 +45%)Victory Club |
11/2(+45%) | (7) Victory Club 11/2, Returned to form benefiting from an easy lead when third, beaten 6½l, in a handicap hurdle over 3m here on his latest run; effective between 2m2f and 3m on good ground but inconsistent. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (8) (9/2 +0%)Top Flight Century |
9/2(+0%) | (8) Top Flight Century 9/2, Travelled well and returned to form when stepped up in trip, just out-battled up the hill when beaten 3/4l off 85 over 2m4f at Carlisle last time; suited by 2½m on a sound surface. Pulled clear with a last-time-out winner at Carlisle two weeks ago; up 4lb. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (6/1 +45%)Jehol De Thaix |
6/1(+45%) | (2) Jehol De Thaix 6/1, Made mistakes and looked green, perhaps not suited by the ground when fourth, beaten 53l in a novice hurdle over 2m4f at Ayr last time. Sufficient early promise to rate an interesting contender on his handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (11/1 -38%)Farmer Jimmy |
11/1(-38%) | (4) Farmer Jimmy 11/1, Yard won this last year; ran to form when third, beaten 11l, in a handicap hurdle over 3m here on his latest run; a contender. Only had eight races and the best two were here; may prefer further but respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (5) (7/1 +13%)V Twelve |
7/1(+13%) | (5) V Twelve 7/1, Ran to form when fourth, beaten 16l, in a handicap hurdle over 2m1f at Carlisle last time; effective around 2m, acts on soft and good ground, and has been in fair form in both codes. Wasn't at his best on the Flat before a 16l defeat back jumping at Carlisle. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (9) (18/1 +55%)Nanny Daisy |
18/1(+55%) | (9) Nanny Daisy 18/1, Yard won this last year; outpaced but ran to form down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Carlisle most recently; has shaped like a stayer. Brian Hughes rides but there aren't many other positives to draw on. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (6) (50/1 -52%)Seeyainthesuninn |
50/1(-52%) | (6) Seeyainthesuninn 50/1, Outpaced and below form when comfortably held in a maiden hurdle over 2m4f at Perth last time; effective around 2½m but needs more to defy this opening mark. Out the back in all races but handicaps were always likely to see him in a better light. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

CAPTAIN COOL was able to build on an encouraging handicap debut when making all to score at Sedgefield and with the likelihood of more to come, a 5lb rise should be no barrier to further success. Belladinotte hit the woodwork over 3m here recently and looks to be a real threat, as does Top Flight Century, who occupied the runner-up position at Carlisle last time out.

Preference is for the 4yo TOP FLIGHT CENTURY who pulled clear with an in-form winner at Carlisle.
Ths is the racecard key.

This is the 16:15 Kempton race from the video above backed at 28/1 earlier in the day.
Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
