LIFE IS ROSIE and Calibos both have a penalty to carry for winning at last week's fixture here. Although the latter has been consistent and is still open to improvement over 1m2f, Life Is Rosie is more proven at this sort of level and could be better equipped to cope with the mandatory weight imposition. Sir William steps back down in distance and, having been cut some slack by the handicapper, rates a player on these terms.

This should be run at a good pace with three of these having raced prominently of late. That should suit SIR WILLIAM now back at 1m2f.

NO SPRITZ NO PARTY improved from her Kempton debut to get off the mark at the second attempt with a tenacious effort at Pontefract in June. Although a surprise winner on the day, that was a professional display and the form carries substance as the fourth has won since. Angel Of Anfield and Astrazar are feared most of those with experience, while Here Forever is an interesting newcomer to monitor in the betting.

Provided this race pans out better than last time, ASTRAZAR could well get off the mark. Angel Of Anfield is second choice.

WESTEND MUSIC sets a decent standard and appeals most after finishing a very close second at Catterick. This could provide the daughter of Showcasing with a nice fillip before she goes on to tackle handicaps. Given that Too Hot To Love, Flybar and Creciente all need to improve on what they have shown so far, Rogue Messiah won't need to be anything special to make an impact on his racecourse bow.

Thrice-raced WESTEND MUSIC is the form pick. Market support for interesting newcomer Rogue Messiah should be heeded.

WOODY Y FERNANDEZ ran a career best when beaten just a length into third on his nursery debut at Catterick and this appeals as a decent opportunity. Runner-up on each of her last two starts over shorter, Redditizio is worth another go at 6f and she is a key player. Squadron Leader has been gelded since his last appearance and has cheekpieces fitted for his handicap bow.

The way he's going, WOODY Y FERNANDEZ may well take another step forward and open his account. Redditizio is feared most on form.

Runner-up the last twice over further, including here on her penultimate outing, AOIFE'S THUNDER sets the standard on recent form and she can get off the mark. Kessaar Power has strong claims if bouncing back to the level that carried him into second at Chelmsford in June, while Platinum Babe has the potential to be suited by going up in trip after a respectable fourth over 1m at Leicester.

There are clear signs that AOIFE'S THUNDER (nap) is on her way to recording a first success. The Pug is second pick.

FIRST PRINCIPLE will likely start a warm order, despite carrying a penalty for last year's debut success at Kempton, having returned to action with a Thirsk second. This looks a less competitive affair and William Haggas' colt can take advantage before moving on to better things. Ettore parted company with his rider when bumped at Pontefract but could prove the main danger, while winning hurdler Zucayan makes a belated debut on the level.

Clear form pick FIRST PRINCIPLE looks set to atone for an odds-on reappearance defeat. Ettore is second choice.

It could pay to stick with MUY MUY LOCO, with Simon Dow's inmate arriving on the back of a close second over 7f on the Lingfield Polytrack. Not beaten far when placed over this trip at Brighton before that, he looks set to open his account. Prima Diva got her head in front for the first time when successful over C&D and a 3lb rise may not prevent another bold bid. On A Vespa steps up in distance with a shout.

The verdict comprises ON A VESPA and Prima Diva who give Jonathan Portman a strong hand.
Ths is the racecard key.
