16:22 Wolverhampton (Class 6) 13f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Joe Bradnam got a good tune out of SPACEAGE LOVE SONG here last week and the way Michael Bell's gelding saw out that race, he should relish the extra couple of furlongs and can defy his penalty. Being held up over a mile and a quarter didn't suit Knight Of Magic at Lingfield, but he stuck his neck out to prevail over 1m4f here before that and is a danger on that evidence. Black Smoke won a division of this 12 months ago and runs off 5lb lower following some ordinary efforts.

The betting should be revealing but, as things stand, KNIGHT OF MAGIC is tentatively preferred to recent winner Spaceage Love Song.

16:57 Wolverhampton (Class 6) 13f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

FORGLEN had to settle for second when attempting to supplement a Lingfield success at Southwell, but that performance looks much better in hindsight thanks to the winner going in again twice. The five-year-old remains on a workable mark and is preferred to Rosco Rogers, who was only beaten a length and a half into fourth last time and can do better for the step up in trip. Ignition is back in handicap company after a couple of solid efforts in classified events.

The vote goes to QUEENSLAND BOY who is back on his last winning mark and is 1-1 in 0-55 company.

LTO Selection:

17:30 Wolverhampton (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

SPENDMORE LANE has been improved by the application of an eye-shield, going under by less than a length over 5f here before a solid Lingfield fourth. In a race that won't take much winning, David Loughnane's filly gets the vote ahead of Woodhay Whisper, who had Punchbowl Flyer well in arrears when making the frame over C&D. White Umbrella is worth a look on her return, while Water Of Leith is an obvious contender if turned out quickly following Monday night's engagement here.

This looks trappy but SPENDMORE LANE is capable of winning a small race and is tentatively preferred to White Umbrella.

LTO Selection:

18:00 Wolverhampton (Class 4) 9f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Too Hot To Tango has been expensive to follow on the all-weather so far and although she's likely to run her race, first-time cheekpieces will need to have the desired effect. That's quite possible, but newcomer FREE YOURSELF is related to a number of useful types and with the Andrew Balding team in good form, it would come as no surprise were she good enough. Bintkend contested a couple of warm Haydock events last term so can't be ruled out, despite the weight. Oscar Nominee is worth a second glance too.

Bintkend looks a likely improver this year but the well-bred FREE YOURSELF may be able to make a winning debut.

18:30 Wolverhampton (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

With most of these having something to prove, a confident vote goes to FOREVER NOAH. Joey Ramsden's charge was reeled in late on over this trip at Chelmsford before going one place better over 6f there and a 5lb penalty shouldn't prevent another big run, especially with Alex Jary taking 3lb off his back. The admirably consistent Colors Of Freedom won't be far away, nor will Second Collection, who is partnered by the excellent Myla Coppins for the first time.

Myla Coppins has made a flying start to her career and may be able to win on SECOND COLLECTION in a race that should be run to suit.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Grey Horizon has been a winning machine since the turn of the year, but he's 8lb higher for just a narrow Southwell victory and it might be that FILLY FODEN holds the stronger claims. Rod Millman's filly took 16 attempts to get off the mark but it didn't take her long to go in again and although a hefty 12lb higher now, she looks worth sticking with while confidence is high. Justmyluck is next best.

It's a competitive race but JUSTMYLUCK remains open to further progress at 5f and is preferred to Flash Rascal and Baker Blue.

19:30 Wolverhampton (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

MR NUGGET tends to only win by a narrow margin so the handicapper hasn't been too harsh. Victorious by a short head on his penultimate start before going in by a neck over C&D, David Simcock's charge was worth more than that and he is expected to defy a further 3lb rise. How's The Guvnor wasn't able to complete a hat-trick last time and it might be that Corundum poses a bigger threat to the selection.

Despite a record of 0-14 it may be worth siding with CORUNDUM who chased home a subsequent winner off this mark over C&D last month.

20:00 Wolverhampton (Class 6) 9f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Imola has maintained a fine level of consistency during a busy winter and found just one too strong off this mark at Southwell last week. She has yet to fully convince with her stamina for this sort of distance, though, whereas SILKIES SIB has been performing well in defeat over further and was successful the last time he encountered this track and trip. Scenario was alongside him that day and then pipped Naughty Niall, although her two subsequent efforts haven't been as good.

A trappy race in which NAUGHTY NIALL is tentatively preferred to Silkies Sib.

20:30 Wolverhampton (Class 6) 9f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Tony Carroll hasn't taken long to work GALAXY WONDER out and after sharing the spoils here on Boxing Day, the four-year-old has twice performed with credit as the 2/1 favourite. Returning to Dunstall Park is in his favour and the handicapper may have been hasty in dropping him 1lb. Ana Emaraaty dug in to prevail at Newcastle and is a threat if judged on that display rather than his subsequent defeat there. Wave Rock, Revich and Ciotog also have claims.

Galaxy Wonder should be in the thick of it but WAVE ROCK (nap) is unexposed and may be able to build on her handicap debut fourth.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
