|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (12/1 -9%)Accrual |
12/1(-9%) | (3) Accrual 12/1, Below form back in a handicap eighth beaten 9 1/2l off 89 last time, 1lb lower here; enjoys making it; effective 5/6f, acts on AW; needs more than of late. Two wins for new yard this winter but latest effort needs some forgiveness. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(9) (14/1 -17%)Tennessee Gold |
14/1(-17%) | (9) Tennessee Gold 14/1, Bit below form beaten 4 1/4l in a handicap at Southwell last time; wide draw; effective 6/7f on sound surface; back below last winning mark and drops to 6f. Not firing on all cylinders at present; widest stall to defy; others are more appealing. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (22/1 +33%)Vingegaard |
22/1(+33%) | (6) Vingegaard 22/1, Found little, needed run back from lengthy absence when beaten 8l in a handicap at Newcastle last time; effective 5f on soft and good to firm; should come on for return. Low-key stable debut at Newcastle four weeks ago (5f; after long absence); best watched. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Having justified favouritism at Chelmsford in January, KNEBWORTH could be poised to follow up. A 4lb rise from the assessor looks more than fair for the six-year-old and reverting to Tapeta shouldn't hamper his bid. Kullazain has been in good form since undergoing a gelding procedure and he may serve the most resistance to the selection, ahead of Silky Wilkie.

Knebworth and KULLAZAIN appeal most and the latter can prove he is still a well-handicapped sprinter.

5/1(+29%) | (6) The Lost King 5/1, Ran to form back up in trip when second beaten 3/4l off 91 last time, 1lb higher here; effective 7/8f on a sound surface; capable of better yet. 7f Kempton win in January has worked out superbly; unsuited by tactical race latest; solid. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (6/1 +14%)Kingdom Come |
6/1(+14%) | (3) Kingdom Come 6/1, Bit keen but ran to best, strong at line when landing a handicap by 1/2l off a 3lb lower mark at Kempton last time; trainer in form; effective 7/8f, acts on a sound surface; can go well again back up in trip. Won this race in 2024 and 3rd last year; 7f winner ten days ago; still on a handy mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (15/2 +25%)Superposition |
15/2(+25%) | (5) Superposition 15/2, Well positioned and ran to form beaten 1 1/4l off this mark at Lingfield last time; top course jockey; suited by 7/8f and a sound surface; chance on latest run. Useful on AW; can step up on last week's return to action; each-way shout. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (9/1 +0%)Two Tempting |
9/1(+0%) | (2) Two Tempting 9/1, Ran to form when 5l third in Tandridge Stakes (Listed) at Southwell most recent run; effective 7/8f, acts on good to soft, good to firm and AW; really useful handicapper can go well again. Admirable performer but surely one or two will prove better handicapped. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

12/1(+14%) | (10) First Ambition 12/1, Step back in right direction beaten 4l in a handicap at Southwell last time; effective 7/8f, acts on good to soft and AW; might be a little too high in weights. Two AW wins to his name; needs to step up on reappearance run but still has low mileage. |

16/1(-14%) | (8) Christian David 16/1, Improved tried in blinkers landing a handicap by a head off a 2lb lower mark at Lingfield last time; off a short-break; effective 7/8f, acts on any; step back up in trip no issue and can go well. Overcame trouble to win a 7f handicap at Lingfield in December; up 2lb; not discounted. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(12) (18/1 +28%)High On Hope |
18/1(+28%) | (12) High On Hope 18/1, Caught out in steadily run race when fifth beaten 2l off 82 last time, same mark here; effective 7/8f, acts on good to soft, good to firm and AW; needs more off this mark. In good form but January's wins were in Class 4 company; a career best is required. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(11) (20/1 -25%)Knights Gold |
20/1(-25%) | (11) Knights Gold 20/1, Ran to form despite bit of a wide trip when beaten 3 1/4l off this mark at Goodwood last time; returning from a break; effective 7/8f, acts on any; needs more off this mark back from a break. Five handicap wins in a productive 2025 campaign; needs to improve again but it's possible. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(9) (80/1 +0%)Bravais |
80/1(+0%) | (9) Bravais 80/1, Went too fast up in trip,, finished down the field in a handicap at Kempton most recent; effective 7/8f, acts on yielding; high mark still but drop in trip a plus. Smart in France/Ireland but not beaten a rival in 3 runs for new yard; too much to prove. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

Regal Ulixes regained the winning thread at Lingfield and there is likely more to come. However, a 6lb hike does demand more of Andrew Balding's charge and LA BOTTE may prove slightly better handicapped. The four-year-old was last seen finishing a close-up second in the Britannia and a similar performance might prove good enough. First Principle and Kingdom Come are others of interest.

A good renewal of the Lincoln Trial and THE LOST KING (nap) is fancied to prove he is still nicely ahead of his mark.

Gimcrack winner as a 2yo; good return from long absence in January; good chance back to 7f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (3/1 +63%)Prince Of India |
3/1(+63%) | (6) Prince Of India 3/1, Plenty went wrong, run best ignored when well beaten in Bengough Stakes (Group 3) at Ascot latest; in good form prior; top course jockey; effective 6/7f on sound surface; more to come this season. C&D winner; hugely progressive at 6f last year; could progress further as a 4yo. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (11/2 -38%)Ferrous |
11/2(-38%) | (2) Ferrous 11/2, Ran to form when second beaten a neck in a handicap at Lingfield latest; trainer in form; suited by 6f, acts on any; chance on latest run and been shaping as though return to 7f might suit. Good record on AW but at 6f; solid form claims if stamina lasts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (13/2 +0%)Marshman |
13/2(+0%) | (4) Marshman 13/2, Bit below best on return when beaten 3l in Kachy Stakes (Listed) at Lingfield last time; effective 5/6f, acts on soft, good and AW; classy sort been shaping as though 7f may suit. Huge chance on 2025 AW best but two runs this winter haven't been at that level; new trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (9/1 -20%)Palmar Bay |
9/1(-20%) | (5) Palmar Bay 9/1, Ran to form when fourth beaten 3l in Prix Luthier (Listed) at Deauville latest; off a short-break; suited by 7f, acts on any; not ruled out with more to come. Steadily progressive 5yo; 7f around a left-hand turn suits him well; has a big run in him. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(8) (11/1 -22%)Witch Hunter |
11/1(-22%) | (8) Witch Hunter 11/1, Outpaced but ran to form when fourth beaten 6 1/4l in Tandridge Stakes (Listed) at Southwell latest; effective 7/8f, acts on soft, good to firm and AW; former Group winner, in good form in handicaps, needs to be played late. Second in this race last year and he is enjoying a good winter; each-way shout. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (22/1 -38%)Heathcliff |
22/1(-38%) | (3) Heathcliff 22/1, Good trip, ran to form when winning a handicap at Lingfield by 1 1/2l last time; effective 6/7f, acts on AW; very consistent. Still improving as a 5yo; can't be recommended at weights but likely to outrun his odds. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (33/1 -65%)Thunder Roar |
33/1(-65%) | (7) Thunder Roar 33/1, Improved back up in trip when second beaten 1 1/4l in a handicap at York latest; returning from a break; effective 7/8f, suited by plenty of give; more needed at this level. Ended 2025 in good form but he faces a stiff task on his seasonal return. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

Boasting an official rating of 108, COOL HOOF LUKE looks more than capable of scoring at this level. The 2024 Gimcrack hero returned from a lengthy layoff to finish third at Lingfield and any natural improvement should make him tough to beat. Ferrous has done little wrong on Polytrack of late and a switch of surface shouldn't prevent another good account. Jack Channon's gelding is feared most, ahead of Marshman.

Cool Hoof Luke has strong claims but Palmar Bay and PRINCE OF INDIA are progressive and the selection should have more to come.

(4) (4/9 -11%)Zambezi River |
4/9(-11%) | (4) Zambezi River 4/9, Bit keen off a slow pace but improved when second beaten 1/2l in a novice at Chelmsford latest; effective 7f, should stay 8f, acts on AW; big, strong sort, looks sure to improve further. Similar form in two 7f runs on Polytrack; could do with settling better; sets the standard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (22/1 +33%)Claytons Kolatonic |
22/1(+33%) | (1) Claytons Kolatonic 22/1, Fair debut without being knocked about when beaten 8l in a novice at Chelmsford on debut; effective at 7f; should improve. Modest form on last month's Chelmsford debut; he would be a surprise winner. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Although ZAMBEZI RIVER failed to land the odds when finding one too good over 7f at Chelmsford, this looks a golden opportunity for him to open his account. The son of Space Blues should take all the beating if seeing out the rise in distance and he's difficult to oppose. Newcomer Showcasing Star is a potential fly in the ointment and is preferred to Claytons Kolatonic.

The withdrawal of original selection Sintra promotes ZAMBEZI RIVER to first choice. Showcasing Star looks the danger.

9/4(+25%) | (6) Port Hedland 9/4, Ran to form when 1 1/4l third in a classified race here most recent run; top course trainer; suited by easy 5f, seems to stay 6f, acts on a sound surface, likes Brighton; doesn't usually see races out. Fair run in a 6f classified here last week; not discounted back in a handicap; yard run 3. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (5/2 -11%)Kento |
5/2(-11%) | (5) Kento 5/2, Ran to form when beaten 2l off this mark at Lingfield last time; top course trainer; effective 5f on AW; can go well again. Poor strike-rate but arrives in form and he seems highly likely to give his running. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (3/1 +14%)Henery Hawk |
3/1(+14%) | (1) Henery Hawk 3/1, Ran to form beaten 1/2l off a 1lb lower mark at Newcastle last time; off a short-break; suited by 5f, acts on AW; gets behind and may need a pace collapse ideally. Conditions to suit and ran well at Newcastle eight weeks ago; more appealing than most. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (16/1 -14%)Washington Heir |
16/1(-14%) | (4) Washington Heir 16/1, Bit keen up in trip when comfortably held in a maiden here last time; top course trainer; returning from a break; bred for 5f; drop to minimum trip might suit now handicapping. Poor form in three AW runs last autumn; more realistic assignment today but still risky. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (16/1 +0%)Colour Code |
16/1(+0%) | (2) Colour Code 16/1, Below form down the field in a handicap at Newcastle most recent; in good form prior; returning from a break; effective at 6f, acts on AW; bounce back needed. Won a 6f classified event at Newcastle last summer; opposable back at 5f after a break. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

KENTO has been threatening a return to winning ways. Caught in the final furlong when second at Lingfield last time, Tony Carroll's charge found one too good over C&D before that and is likely to prove competitive once again off an unchanged mark. Henery Hawk was beaten less than a length into third at Newcastle and has a shout, while Colors Of Freedom is usually in the mix at this level.

A trappy race in which HENERY HAWK is tentatively preferred to Kento.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (2/1 -14%)Rosieisme Darling |
2/1(-14%) | (1) Rosieisme Darling 2/1, Back to form down to 5f when landing a handicap by a neck off a 3lb lower mark at Lingfield last time; probably best 5f, acts on AW, likes sharp tracks; chance once again. Record of 21221 in 5f AW handicaps this winter; should give her running once again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (10/3 +33%)Kanes A Lott |
10/3(+33%) | (3) Kanes A Lott 10/3, Made too much use of down in trip when beaten 4 1/2l in a handicap here last time; effective 6/7f, acts on AW; needs to settle and get fractions right top recapture best. Not progressing but he has shown good speed on his last two starts; drop to 5f could help. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (11/1 +8%)Sands Of Seve |
11/1(+8%) | (7) Sands Of Seve 11/1, Tired late having chased fast pace when 7l third in a handicap at Southwell most recent run; visor first time; should be effective at 5/6f; poor so far in handicaps. Poor form in his six starts; a change of headgear isn't enough to tempt. |

(6) (16/1 +11%)Sequential |
16/1(+11%) | (6) Sequential 16/1, Made plenty of use of and outclassed when comfortably held in a maiden at Kempton last time; might do better now handicapping down in trip. Beaten just one rival home in three 6f runs this year; down in trip for handicap debut. |

40/1(-21%) | (4) Backfire 40/1, Made too much use of early when down the field in a handicap here most recent; probably effective 6/7f, acts on AW; needs a more conservative ride. Low-key handicap debut but a hint of promise in novice company beforehand; can do better. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (50/1 -25%)Resdev Kisses |
50/1(-25%) | (5) Resdev Kisses 50/1, Continued poor form up in trip when beaten 8l in a handicap at Newcastle last time; effective 5f, acts on a sound surface; badly out of form. Poor form since joining Micky Hammond; she looks opposable once again. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

ELASHGAR did show a bit more here at the beginning of last month prior to breaking through at the track on his handicap bow. He looks speedy enough to cope with the drop in trip and can go in again with improvement forthcoming. Rosieisme Darling got back in the winning groove at Lingfield and commands respect, likewise Kanes A Lott.

Recent winners Rosieismedarling and ELASHGAR appeal most and the latter is readily preferred after overcoming a wide trip last week.

(1) (9/2 +0%)Londoner |
9/2(+0%) | (1) Londoner 9/2, Too keen and below form in new headgear combo when down the field in a handicap at Southwell most recent; in good form prior; effective 10/11f, acts on good to firm and AW; cheekpieces reapplied and back up in trip. Generally consistent for current yard but still has a modest strike-rate. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

A competitive handicap to close the card in which half of the field bring winning C&D form to the table. Towerlands is a model of consistency and is fancied to run his usual honest race, while last year's scorer Arcadian Nights should be thereabouts and Way Of Life can't be overlooked. However, MR NUGGET has won three of his last four starts and just edges it from the foot of the weights.

Off bottom weight upped further in grade, MR NUGGET may well register another win. Arcadian Nights is second pick.
Ths is the racecard key.
