LTO Selection:

17:30 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 14f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

A comfortable winner over C&D on his penultimate start, BASCINET didn't see out two miles last time out and he should be far more at home over this trip. The four-year-old remains a progressive sort and can see off the likes of Leopolds Rock and Cedar Cage, who should be well suited by the step up in trip. Good Time Ahead has been plying his trade over hurdles of late and is interesting on his return to this sphere.

Having fallen in the weights this year, CEDAR CAGE got back on track when third here 12 days ago and he can build on that effort to take advantage of a further drop in grade. The biggest threat could be Bascinet, who had been in good form prior to a below-par effort last time, while Leopolds Rock also merits consideration with his recent run behind him.

Front-running on BASCINET has its difficulties, as was shown on his latest start, but he is the clear pick if that is forgiven.

LTO Selection:

18:00 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Now that the penny has dropped for impressive C&D winner FAYASEL, there could be plenty more improvement forthcoming from the three-year-old as he looks to follow up. Olympic Quest has shown enough pace over further the last twice to suggest that the drop in trip may suit, while Rossmore Nation is one of the most consistent having finished no worse than second on three of his last four starts.

SPARKS FLY shaped well at this C&D last time, nearest at the finish having been left poorly placed from the widest draw, so she remains with potential having only her second start in a handicap. David Loughnane's filly is taken to open her account, with last-time-out C&D winner Fayasel heading the list of dangers, ahead of Rossmore Nation.

Fayasel showed improved form to win over C&D last time but he went up 9lb and is taken on with MR GLOVERMAN, who ran well last time

LTO Selection:

18:30 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

The step up in trip can work the oracle for CALIN'S LAD as he looks to regain the winning thread off a tumbling handicap mark. The booking of Oisin Murphy is another plus and might be enough to see him hold off the likes of Motawaafeq, who beat him narrowly over C&D last April, and the capable Always Fearless, who has placed twice over further here.

BELEAGUERMENT was deemed to be a non-runner in unusual circumstances at Wolverhampton on Tuesday but the weight of support for him suggested he was expected to cash in on his basement mark. He's worth siding with in favour of Calin's Lad and Motawaafeq.

It could be worth siding with GAME NATION in a tricky event. He shaped with more encouragement last time and the drop to 7f may help.

LTO Selection:

19:00 Wolverhampton Stakes (Class 3) 8.5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Cicero's Gift was a comfortable winner on his racecourse debut at Newbury in October and should be respected on his Tapeta debut returning from a break, but he has to shoulder a 7lb penalty for that success. Therefore, preference is for the Eve Johnson Houghton-trained BUSSENTO, who was only narrowly denied on his most recent outing, also at Newbury, in September. Docklands is another to bear in mind.

DOCKLANDS made a really promising start to his career when runner-up at Haydock in the autumn, second despite coming from an unpromising position. This trip is sure to suit on pedigree and the 9 lb he receives from a Cicero's Gift could be decisive.

A decent event in which DOCKLANDS is taken to confirm the promise of his first run at Haydock last summer. That form has been franked.

LTO Selection:

19:30 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 9f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Papal Music kept on for second over a marginally shorter trip at Kempton last month and commands respect. He makes his handicap debut here and should not be taken lightly, but FLAME OF KODIAC finished a decent third over 7f at Chelmsford earlier this month and shades the vote for powerful connections. She could take a big step forward over this trip. Evolicatt also warrants a market check.

A few with chances but CHURCHILL ROSE appeals as the sort who could take a sizeable step forward now going handicapping up in trip so she gets the vote. Dee's Dream should strip fitter for her Kempton sixth after a lay-off and is feared most ahead of Flame of Kodiac and Evolicatt.

This can go the way of FLAME OF KODIAC (nap), who looks on a handy mark for this handicap debut and the step up to this trip should suit

LTO Selection:

20:00 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 4) 9f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

DYNAMIC TALENT is just 1lb above his last winning mark and, with a spin at Kempton last month entitled to have blown away the cobwebs, he looks worth chancing back at that scene of his last success. A draw near the rails could be beneficial for the selection and it would come as no surprise to see him set a good tempo. Athmad bids for a three-timer and could pounce if the selection's stamina falters. Young Fire and Soames Forsyte add further spice to the race.

ATHMAD scored with something to spare over C&D last time and he's worth a chance to follow up at the likely expense of Young Fire, who also arrives on the back of a success here. Oh Herberts Reign is also considered.

The two recent winners aren't guaranteed a strong pace so both are taken on with OH HERBERTS REIGN, who can break a losinng run.

(4) Buachaill 6.5/1, Unreliable sort. C&D winner. 17/2, creditable third of 8 in minor event at this course (9.5f) 12 days ago, slowly away. Not sure to be in the same form this time.
LTO Selection:

20:30 Wolverhampton Stakes (Class 6) 9f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

GOOD HUMOR seems to need plenty of coaxing but he retains enough ability to be of interest in a weak race such as this. The drop to 7f might have been the reason for a modest display here 13 days ago and he is far more appealing back over this trip. Buachaill just edged out the selection on his penultimate start and is respected, while Le Bayou and Ballet Blanc also appeal in race lacking huge depth.

SHINING CRYSTAL couldn't justify market support on debut for a shrewd yard last time but she's worth another chance in a weak race. Ballet Blanc is worth a market check on debut for Richard Price with a top jockey on board and Non Mollare is worthy of respect.

A couple of these have claims but this can go to recent C&D winner BUACHAILL, who should be suited by the return to this trip
