1st (1) (4/5 -10%)Chasing Time |
4/5(-10%) | (1) Chasing Time 4/5, Sea The Stars gelding; half-brother to Reflective Star, useful at 8f as 2yo; dam very smart at 10f; top course jockey and top trainer; obvious chance and betting will be informative. Dam a Group-placed 1m1f winner (RPR 104); yard always feared in these races. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (15/8 +46%)Killer Whale |
15/8(+46%) | (2) Killer Whale 15/8, Improved markedly from debut when second beaten 6l in a novice at Kempton latest; trainer in form; effective 1m, further a question mark but stamina on dam's side, acts on AW; very useful and could be more to come. Modest form in two 1m runs in late 2025; dam a Cesarewitch winner so new trip looks a plus. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (5/1 -25%)Sinocentric |
5/1(-25%) | (3) Sinocentric 5/1, Not knocked about on fair debut 9 1/2l fourth in a novice at Southwell first-time out; middle-distance bred; should improve. Modest fourth of six on last month's debut but bred to leave that behind him in time. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Just the three runners but with Charlie Appleby introducing Sea The Stars gelding Chasing Time it could still be an informative contest. However, the vote goes to SINOCENTRIC, who was fourth over this trip at Southwell on debut when showing signs of inexperience. Killer Whale finished second over the Kempton mile but is out of a Cesarewitch winner and he may appreciate this step up in trip and provide the most competition.

Killer Whale and Sinocentric can improve but they do not set a daunting standard for newcomer CHASING TIME to aim at.

1st (5) (2/1 +56%)Coloane |
2/1(+56%) | (5) Coloane 2/1, Possibly given a bit too much to do beaten 3l off a 1lb higher mark here last time; effective 8-10f, acts on sound surface; mark is workable but might need a more prominent ride. Promising run after a break here two weeks ago; shouldn't be too far away. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (4/1 +27%)Book Of Life |
4/1(+27%) | (7) Book Of Life 4/1, Bit below form beaten 4l in a handicap at Newcastle last time; effective 7-10f, acts on AW; best runs are about one in three and hard to be confident after two moderate runs. Second over C&D in February, when rather throwing the race away; not so good twice since. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (4/1 -14%)Orbital Chime |
4/1(-14%) | (4) Orbital Chime 4/1, Back to form fitted with a visor beaten 5 1/4l in a handicap at Chelmsford last time; effective 5-7f, best with plenty of give, acts on AW; needs headgear to continue to galvanise, very stiff task at the weights and trip a worry. Unplaced in two 7f runs for new yard; down in weights; first run over further than 7f. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (10/1 -186%)Yehudi |
10/1(-186%) | (2) Yehudi 10/1, Below form for no obvious reason beaten 4l off a 1lb higher mark here last time; effective 7-9f, acts on soft and AW; maiden but fair mark and may bounce back. 0-15 but has gone close, including over C&D; new combination of accessories tried today. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (5/1 +29%)Poetic Force |
5/1(+29%) | (1) Poetic Force 5/1, Scored by a neck off a 3lb lower mark here three starts back; probably made too much use of last time, 1lb lower here; suited by 7-9f, acts on a sound surface; nicely weighted and dangerous. C&D winner in February; one good run and one lesser effort have followed. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (9/1 -50%)Not So Sobers |
9/1(-50%) | (3) Not So Sobers 9/1, Stayed up in trip to 14f and ran to form beaten 2l off this mark at Chelmsford last time; effective 11-14f, acts on AW; consistent but gives impression that this trip will be much too sharp. Unexposed on the Flat and ran well last time but that was 1m6f; drop in trip the query. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (12/1 -20%)Always Fearless |
12/1(-20%) | (6) Always Fearless 12/1, Scored by 1 1/4l off a 4lb lower mark here penultimate start; below par up 4lb in the weights last time, same mark here; effective 8/9f, acts on a sound surface; disappointing last time and mark looks stiff. C&D win last month was followed by a modest run at Lingfield; capable of bouncing back. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (8) (66/1 -32%)Nala The Lioness |
66/1(-32%) | (8) Nala The Lioness 66/1, Poor again second run after a long absence well beaten in a handicap here latest; effective 11/12f, acts on AW; yet show retains ability since break and trip looks on sharp side. Well beaten in two handicaps for new yard after a 400-day layoff; plenty to prove. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Poetic Force is still running well at the age of 12 and he could make a bold bid dropping in class even with the burden of top-weight. ALWAYS FEARLESS has won two of his nine starts here and placed in three others, suggesting he may be best suited by conditions and with the Hannon yard among the winners, he looks a sensible call. Not So Sobers could surprise if he takes to the big drop in distance.

Coloane finished in front of POETIC FORCE over C&D two weeks ago but the placings may be reversed this time.

11/8(-25%) | (2) Constant Star 11/8, Solid effort on debut coming clear with first three when beaten 3/4l in a maiden at Lingfield only start; stays 1m, acts on AW; should progress. Promising 2nd in a slowly-run 1m maiden last month; open to plenty of improvement. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (8) (28/1 +0%)Imelda |
28/1(+0%) | (8) Imelda 28/1, 17,000gns Invincible Spirit filly; half-sister to Permission Tospeak, very useful at 8f as 2yo; watch the market. Half-sister to a 1m4f AW winner; she doesn't have a daunting standard to aim at on debut. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (4/1 +47%)Safe Zone |
4/1(+47%) | (4) Safe Zone 4/1, Minor late headway running to debut form when fourth beaten 6 1/4l in a maiden here latest over 6f; may want 7f, acts on AW; small but typically good attitude of sire's progeny. Some promise in two 6f runs and this extra furlong should suit; each-way shout. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (13/2 +19%)Thimble |
13/2(+19%) | (6) Thimble 13/2, Made plenty of use of on decent debut beaten 4l in a novice at Kempton over 7f; middle-distance bred; should improve, especially as goes up the distances. Bred for further but February's Kempton debut (7f) wasn't without encouragement. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (7/2 -27%)Rogue Desire |
7/2(-27%) | (3) Rogue Desire 7/2, Solid effort on debut third beaten 4 1/2l in a maiden at Salisbury debut over 7f; likely to get further in time, acts on fast ground; should improve. Satisfactory debut when third at Salisbury (7f) last August; open to improvement this year. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (9/1 +0%)Thai Princess |
9/1(+0%) | (5) Thai Princess 9/1, Out-kicked, but fair effort in decent little race 7l when fourth in a novice at Kempton (6f) first-time out; trainer in form; tongue-tie first time; may want further than 6f; should improve. Modest debut effort last month but the new trip/tongue tie should have a positive effect. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (1) (200/1 -100%)Difford Girl |
200/1(-100%) | (1) Difford Girl 200/1, Too free early then out-kicked on poor debut when well beaten in a novice here only start; all to prove. 66-1 when tailed off in a 9.4f novice here three weeks ago; can't be recommended. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (7) (33/1 -200%)Action Reaction |
33/1(-200%) | (7) Action Reaction 33/1, Beaten 10l in a maiden at Lingfield last time having been very green on poor debut; top course jockey; may need middle-distances; small, workmanlike sort, looks limited. Modest form in two 1m runs last month; handicaps should offer a better opportunity. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Thai Princess steps up a furlong after finishing a seven-length fourth on her Kempton debut and she can mount a challenge. Rogue Desire showed some promise when third at Salisbury and is worth a market watch but CONSTANT STAR ticks more boxes. Second over a mile at Lingfield in March and beaten less than a length, she could prove hard to beat.

Several potential improvers and SAFE ZONE, who looks sure to appreciate today's extra furlong, is preferred to Constant Star.

||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (10/1 +9%)Lequinto |
10/1(+9%) | (3) Lequinto 10/1, Ran to current form beaten 2 1/2l off a 1lb higher mark at Lingfield last time; top course trainer; wide draw; effective 5/6f, acts on any, likes it fast; has regressed a little of late and mark looking stiff. No AW win since December 2021; arrives in fair form though and he has an each-way shout. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (16/1 -220%)Punchbowl Flyer |
16/1(-220%) | (7) Punchbowl Flyer 16/1, Ran to form beaten a length off a 1lb higher mark here last time; effective 5-7f, acts on AW but best with give; drop in trip should not inconvenience and on fair mark. Just one win since June 2021 but he has been performing with credit in defeat this year. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (9) (11/2 -57%)Valsharah |
11/2(-57%) | (9) Valsharah 11/2, Improved tried in tongue-tie beaten 1/2l off this mark at Kempton last time; effective 6/7f, acts on AW; cheekpieces back on and chance. 0-20 but latest 2nd was a solid effort; new combination of accessories; contender. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (7/4 +30%)Cayman Tai |
7/4(+30%) | (2) Cayman Tai 7/4, Gaps came just too late, unlucky and should have won beaten a head off a 1lb lower mark at Newcastle last time; effective 5/6f, acts on any; major chance on ratings but needs luck in-running. Well up to winning off this mark and found only a flourishing rival too strong last week. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (10/1 -11%)Pianoforte |
10/1(-11%) | (4) Pianoforte 10/1, Bit below form for no apparent reason beaten 4 1/2l in a handicap at Newcastle last time; cheekpieces first time; effective 5-7f, acts on AW; form has tailed off a little. Promising 4th in December but he hasn't built on it since; now tried in cheekpieces. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (40/1 +0%)Due Date |
40/1(+0%) | (5) Due Date 40/1, Probably made too much use of but another poor effort beaten 8l in a handicap at Lingfield last time; wide draw; suited by 6f, acts on a sound surface; on last winning mark. Had a good 2025 campaign but well beaten at big odds in three runs this year. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (6) (12/1 -9%)Brian The Snail |
12/1(-9%) | (6) Brian The Snail 12/1, Back to better form, race unfolding favourably beaten 2l off a 1lb higher mark at Newcastle last time; effective 5/6f, acts on a sound surface; tricky customer who does his own thing, dangerous on a going day. Having his 100th racecourse start tonight; solid 4th last time; each-way claims once again. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (8) (80/1 -60%)Megaphone |
80/1(-60%) | (8) Megaphone 80/1, Poor effort beaten 10l in a handicap here last time; effective 5/6f, suited by AW; out of sorts. Tumbling down the weights but showing no sign of taking advantage. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

KIRKDALE has been running consistently well over the winter months at Newcastle and the four-year-old looks to have the perfect opportunity to gain a second career success. Cayman Tai went close at the same venue last Friday and a 1lb rise might underestimate him on this occasion, while Valsharah took a step back in the right direction at Kempton and may have more to come in first-time cheekpieces.

Kirkdale should go well again but CAYMAN TAI looks to have been found a golden opportunity.

11/8(+15%) | (3) Pride Of Donegal 11/8, Admirable effort off the front landing a handicap by 2 1/4l off a 4lb lower mark here last time; top course jockey; suited by 10-12f, all runs on AW; on a competitive mark and in form. Made all in a first-time visor over C&D five weeks ago; a 4lb rise demands more. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (4/1 -14%)Charmaine |
4/1(-14%) | (1) Charmaine 4/1, Below form, given too much to do beaten 8l in a handicap at Southwell latest run back in September had been in very good form prior; suited by 11/12f, acts on any; very consistent, but may need the run. Looked to find this mark beyond her after two wins last spring but this less competitive. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (15/8 +17%)Codiak |
15/8(+17%) | (2) Codiak 15/8, Game effort needing all of the 12f at a steady pace when landing a handicap by a head off a 2lb lower mark at Southwell last time; effective 11-14f, acts on AW; in good form, strong pace would suit. Came from off a steady pace to get up in a busy finish last time; open to more improvement. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (40/1 -100%)Maasai Mara |
40/1(-100%) | (4) Maasai Mara 40/1, Unenthusiastic start and lost all chance when well beaten in a handicap hurdle at Windsor latest; fairly handicapped based on latest Flat starts back in 2024; hood first time; returning from a break; hard to fancy. Lost his way over hurdles; hard to believe he's still up to this sort of mark on the Flat. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (17/2 +0%)Gemmari |
17/2(+0%) | (5) Gemmari 17/2, Up 8lb and probably below best beaten 7l in a handicap here last time; suited by 12-14f, acts on AW; progressive before latest reverse and may yet get back on an upward trajectory. Helped set the race up when favourite here last time; has to prove this mark within range. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (7) (66/1 -230%)Bulldog Spirit |
66/1(-230%) | (7) Bulldog Spirit 66/1, Below form beaten 6l in a handicap at Thirsk last time; trainer in form; effective 12-14f, acts on AW; stiff mark based on form at the end of last term. Debuts for a fourth yard; not much room for manoeuvre off this mark on comeback. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (40/1 -186%)Polling Day |
40/1(-186%) | (6) Polling Day 40/1, Never a threat but probably ran to form off stiff mark beaten 4l off a 1lb higher mark at Chester last time; trainer in form; usually held up; acts on AW and easy ground; mark may not have eased enough. Entitled to need this at his age after seven months off; trainer also runs Bulldog Spirit. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

CODIAK got off the mark in comfortable style over C&D in December before following up in handicap company at Southwell in January and Ed Bethell's gelding can continue his progression after a 2lb rise. Pride Of Donegal went up 4lb for his latest success here at the end of February and commands plenty of respect. Gemmari and Charmaine head the remainder.

Pride Of Donegal is on a career-high mark and preference is for the less exposed CODIAK (nap).

||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (6/1 -100%)Shalaa Asker |
6/1(-100%) | (2) Shalaa Asker 6/1, Scored by 2l off a 8lb lower mark at Southwell three starts back; ran to form beaten a head off 65 last time, 2lb higher here; effective 5-7f, acts on any; can go well again. Three AW wins this winter and also ran well behind Toomuchforme at Southwell last month. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (9/2 +55%)Blue Force |
9/2(+55%) | (4) Blue Force 9/2, Ran to form beaten 4l off a 1lb higher mark at Newcastle last time; effective 5/6f, almost all form on AW; running better and mark easing but still tough task based on recent efforts. C&D win off this mark in December; unplaced five times since but could revive from stall 1. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (11/2 +50%)Candy Warhol |
11/2(+50%) | (6) Candy Warhol 11/2, Yard won this last year; ran about to form beaten 2l off a 1lb higher mark here last time; effective 5/6f, acts on AW; mark high enough but in fair form and minor chance. C&D winner; closely matched with Blue Force on December's C&D run; should go well. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) (6/1 -50%)Phoenix Beach |
6/1(-50%) | (7) Phoenix Beach 6/1, Won this last year (has regresssed a lot since); ran to balance of form beaten 1 1/4l off this mark here last time; best at 5f, acts on AW; mark has eased but still only just competitive. Faces his optimum conditions and ran well for third here two weeks ago; contender. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (10/1 +29%)Beaming Light |
10/1(+29%) | (5) Beaming Light 10/1, Needed further than 6f but lacklustre effort beaten 4 1/2l in a handicap at Lingfield last time; wide draw; effective at 8/9f, acts on soft, good to firm and AW; distance looks much too short. Three wins over 1m; on a good mark but dropping to 5f is an obvious query. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (8) (4/1 +11%)Amerjeet |
4/1(+11%) | (8) Amerjeet 4/1, Ran to current level beaten 2 1/2l off a 2lb higher mark at Southwell last time; effective at 5/6f, best on sound surface; bit below best of late but nicely weighted. Poor strike-rate but conditions hold no terrors and he is down to a career-low mark. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (1) (15/2 -125%)Toomuchforme |
15/2(-125%) | (1) Toomuchforme 15/2, Ran to form landing a handicap by a head off a 3lb lower mark at Southwell last time; effective 5/6f, acts on AW; looks to have settled at new level, official mark not generous. Revived by visor on last two starts, beating Shalaa Asker at Southwell last month; solid. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Shalaa Asker was only a head behind Toomuchforme when the latter gained a first win on the all-weather in a similar event at Southwell last month. As a reliable sprinter at this level, a 1lb pull could be enough for Charlie Wallis' gelding to reverse the form. However, overall preference is for BETWEENTHESTICKS, who is a previous C&D winner that resumes from a break on a winning mark.

Phoenix Beach is handicapped to win but TOOMUCHFORME has done well since the visor went on and can defy a small rise.

6/4(+40%) | (4) Karakula Dancer 6/4, Scored by 1/2l off a 5lb lower mark at Kempton three starts back and good efforts since, latest despite poor start and wide trip; effective 8/9f, acts on sound surface, cheekpieces have helped; nicely handicapped. Two wins and three placed efforts from five AW runs this year; solid claims. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (16/5 -16%)Lexington Express |
16/5(-16%) | (1) Lexington Express 16/5, Benefited from an easy lead and back to best landing a handicap by 6l off an 8lb lower mark here last time; trainer in form; effective 7/8f, acts on GS and a sound surface, suited by front-running; consistent. Easy C&D win 11 days ago but she was able to dictate; behind two of these on previous run. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (4/1 -60%)Zoustellar |
4/1(-60%) | (5) Zoustellar 4/1, Ran into trouble at key stage and would have gone quite close beaten a length off this mark at Newcastle last time; top course jockey; usually held up; stays a mile, acts on AW; better effort in a tongue-tie last time. Improved effort when unlucky-in-running 4th at Newcastle (1m) last month; unexposed. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (18/1 -13%)Panthere Noir |
18/1(-13%) | (6) Panthere Noir 18/1, Disappointed in first-time blinkers beaten 10l in a handicap at Newcastle last time; effective 6-8f, acts on G and AW; largely consistent and blinkers swapped by to cheekpieces here. Two low-key runs at Newcastle last month; down in the weights but not a solid option. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (7/2 -5%)Amazing Anita |
7/2(-5%) | (3) Amazing Anita 7/2, Good effort tried in cheekpieces off a break beaten 2l off this mark at Southwell last time; effective 1m, acts on AW; entitled to come on from reappearance. Closely matched with Karakula Dancer on latest Southwell run; not yet exposed. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Lexington Express got off the mark at the 12th attempt with a dominant effort when she made all over C&D 11 days ago. Another bold bid can be expected with Luke Catton's 3lb claim reducing the burden of an 8lb rise. However, KARAKULA DANCER had Marco Botti's filly three places behind when he filled the runner up berth when they clashed at Southwell and can uphold the form on more favourable terms. The unexposed Zoustellar could be a threat to all with a step forward.

Karakula Dancer and Amazing Anita are solid contenders but ZOUSTELLAR can build on the promise of her latest Newcastle run.
Ths is the racecard key.

This is the 16:15 Kempton race from the video above backed at 28/1 earlier in the day.
Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool.
