4/1(-20%) | (8) Red Savitar 4/1, Had benefited for debut experience 4 1/4l third in a novice at Kempton most recent run building slightly on decent debut effort prior; sets the bar of those with experience, fair claims Third of five in both starts on the AW; sets the standard, but not an insurmountable one. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

The one that appeals the most is DIAMOND ALEXANDER, who is a full-sister to the multiple 5f winner Democracy Dilemma as well as being a half-sister to the Group 3-placed Angel Alexander. However, this could be an informative maiden and Jungle Monarch, Bone Marra and London Is Blue also boast captivating pedigrees. Red Savitar sets the standard on form but already looks vulnerable to more precocious types.

The vote goes to JUNGLE MONARCH whose stable is enjoying another fine year with 2yos first time out.

John and Thady Gosden send out a couple of notable contenders and, while the penalised Newcastle winner Cajole is probably the first in the pecking order, the booking of Oisin Murphy for Nahraan also suggests that connections mean business with this attractively-bred debutant. Even so, there was lots to like about KING AL's tenacious winning debut at Haydock on his sole start as a juvenile and that proven willing attitude could be decisive on his first start back.

The Gosdens' well-bred filly CAJOLE looks the one to beat after this month's Newcastle success.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

From a rating of just 67, carrying top-weight might not be insurmountable for THE FEMININE URGE, who is readily suggested as the one to be with. Only raised 2lb for her determined effort when scoring at Windsor 22 days ago, the daughter of Mehmas could be tough to pass if she replicates the effort here. The low-mileage Hint Of Humour can be competitive on just her second start in a handicap. Startling is a viable alternative with first-time cheekpieces tried.

Still on her last winning mark, STARTLING (nap) should find this race is run to suit her closing style.

GOLSPIE finished runner-up over course and distance on a couple of occasions prior to a recent third at Newcastle. Beaten only a length last time, he coped well with the step up to this grade and the son of Ribchester looks worthy of another chance back at this venue. Serious Look bids for a hat-trick of course wins and he may prove a bigger threat than last month's Lingfield winner Molly Valentine.

The vote goes to C&D winner BEARAWAY who should be suited by the return to this trip.

20/1(-167%) | (10) A La Louche 20/1, Probably needed race down the field in a handicap over 8f at Kempton most recent off a layoff; trip an unknown; on stiff looking mark and lot to prove Friendless in the market again when down the field on handicap debut (1m); new trip. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Tralee Girl prevailed by only half a length when odds-on favourite at Windsor earlier in the month. However, SOLAR PASS returned the impressive winner of a maiden over a mile at Lingfield in January. A half-sister to stablemate and 1m4f winner Mount Atlas, Andrew Balding's filly is expected to improve further for this longer trip and could be the one to side with. Pure Theory is next best.

In-form Tralee Girl is much respected but SOLAR PASS came on plenty as a 2yo and could do even better this year.
Ths is the racecard key.
