LTO Selection:

14:10 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Victors Dream has weakened late on over further on two of his three starts and he could be of interest over this trip on his handicap debut off a mark of 60, with the eye-catching booking of Neil Callan to ride. However, with a lack of obvious pace in the race, UNLIMITED DATA may be able to slip the field from stall one. A C&D winner in December, an added 3lb may not stop him repeating the feat here. Agostino could surprise a few on his second start after being gelded.

Tricky stuff, with CUBAN GREY fancied to resume winning ways after another good run at Brighton. Unlimited Data scored in a nursery when last seen and can be competitive again. Victors Dream is a potential improver now handicapping for Marco Botti.

This can go to CUBAN GREY who has been running well on turf and the AW lately. Fellow C&D winner Unlimited Data is the main danger.

(4) Animist 40/1, Thrice-raced maiden. 10/1, first run since leaving John Gallagher when last of 3 in minor event at this C&D 24 days ago. Makes handicap debut. Has work to do.
Hard to know what he achieved when last of three after a long absence here last month.
LTO Selection:

14:40 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Animist has to be of interest despite finishing last of three on his first start since October 2021, but he will need to improve if he wants to get to the front where it matters most. RED WALLS was beaten less than two lengths off 2lb higher at Chelmsford on his last start when possibly sent to the front too soon, but a first-time visor could help his focus and that might see him win for the sixth time. Apache Star and You're Cool are others to consider.

APACHE STAR shaped well at Southwell and looks the way to go. You're Cool can never be discounted around here, while Caribbean Sunset has wins in him if standing up to more racing.

This can go to the newly visored RED WALLS who has gained three of his five wins over C&D and is 2lb below his last winning mark.

LTO Selection:

15:10 Wolverhampton Stakes (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Owl Island made a winning debut at Chelmsford 12 days ago, when receiving 7lb from Profit Given (second). An 8lb swing in the weights could see Ismail Mohammed's filly close the gap today, but EDEN STORM is taken to come out on top. The son of Starspangledbanner was a comfortable winner over C&D last month, despite showing clear signs of inexperience, and he could double up with improvement likely. Island Luck represents the powerful Qatar Racing juggernaut and is worth monitoring in the betting ahead of his debut.

There is more to come from Chelmsford winner OWL ISLAND and he can make it 2-2. Story of Peace could make it a 1-2 for the stable. Island Luck is an interesting newcomer.

The vote goes to EDEN STORM who would have won by further over C&D last month had he not hung both ways up the straight.

First and second in his last two visits here so worthy of consideration; hood on.
LTO Selection:

15:40 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

FLAGMAN sprang a surprise when winning at odds of 28/1 at Kempton earlier this month, but the former Goldolphin-owned son of Kingman failed to back up at Chepstow 13 days later. However, he did beat a subsequent winner two starts ago and, now back on an artificial surface, he could return to form. Mudlahhim finished a good third over C&D last time and he merits respect from an unchanged mark, while Written Broadcast heads the remainder.

WRITTEN BROADCAST has held his form pretty well since scoring over C&D in March, so Ollie Pears' grey is fancied to notch a third success of the year at the expense of Pop Favorite, who is a free-going sort but should appreciate this drop back to 7f. Seas of Elzaam and Flagman are another couple who could well be in the shake-up, too.

This can go to previous C&D winner MUDLAHHIM who has run well in his last two visits here, as when third over this trip 11 days ago.

LTO Selection:

16:10 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 5) 8.5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Dhariye made it third-time lucky when winning at Southwell in January and an opening mark of 76 doesn't look beyond him on today's handicap debut. It would be no surprise were the Sir Michael Stoute-trained Born Ruler to thrive in handicaps this year and the son of Kingman is another who merits respect here, but the value may lay with QUANTUM LIGHT. Ralph Beckett's filly failed to kick on having shaped with significant promise on her debut last July, but a step up in trip might prove the key to her and she may provide her in-form yard with yet more success.

BORN RULER appeals as one who should have more to offer now handicapping over further and can add to his 7f course novice success at the start of the year. Dhariye is another last-time-out winner who should go on to better things in handicaps and is feared most ahead of the William Buick-ridden No Barrier. Hat Toss would also need serious consideration if showing up here instead of Redcar.

Born Ruler and DHARIYE have similar profiles. Slight preference is for the latter who ground it out well when winning at Southwell.

16:40 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 8.5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Moondial runs off just 2lb higher than her success on Kempton's Polytrack surface last September and can go well back on Tapeta, while H Key Lails, who went close over 7f at Wetherby last week, is another of interest having broken his maiden over C&D in March. However, the vote goes to RED FORT, who arrives on the back of his best effort to date and, with his stamina slightly more proven, he looks a big player off the same mark today.

C&D winner H KEY LAILS returned to form when runner-up at Wetherby last week and can race off the same mark here. He can go one better. Potential improvers Dame Laura Knight and Panning For Gold are feared most.

The solid option is H KEY LAILS (nap) who won over C&D in March and has been beaten under a length in two of his three starts since.

17:15 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

PHILOS has done little wrong in defeat lately and, having shown tenacity during a luckless run at Beverley (short of room early and struck into), a similarly determined effort could result in him gaining compensation for that near-miss. Bailar Contigo rates the main danger having shown improvement here last time, although the step up in trip is a bit of a concern. Optik looks best of the rest in a modest handicap.

This represents a good opportunity for PHILOS to open his account. He was unlucky not to do so at Beverley last week and the booking of William Buick adds to his appeal. Optik failed to measure up to market expectations on his handicap debut at Windsor but could be about to take a step forward now upped in trip. Best of the rest is Bailar Contigo, who produced her best effort yet over 9.5f here last time and is also likely to benefit from this stiffer test.

A few of these have something to prove but BAILAR CONTIGO looks worth a crack at 1m4f and she is preferred to Philos.
