Although she struggled to mount a challenge when finishing sixth in a Listed event at Sandown 26 days ago, HAYYNAH makes grand appeal reverting to these calmer waters. Ollie Sangster's filly had previously filled the runner-up berth twice at Windsor and she can put her experience to good use. Yasalam is related to several winners and market support for the daughter of Night Of Thunder on her debut would be interesting, while Secret Of Life is the pick of the remainder.

The betting can help sort out the newcomers but HAYYNAH sets a useful standard for them to aim at.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (22/1 -57%)Gunalt Wavelength |
22/1(-57%) | (6) Gunalt Wavelength 22/1, 4,000gns yearling; has shown very little indeed on three starts, failing to really be a threat, but some improvement to a degree each time; beaten 6l in a maiden at Catterick last time; bit to find Modest form on turf; half-sister to an AW winner and should improve on AW/handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

15/8(+44%) | (2) Phantom Watch 15/8, 75,000 euro yearling; Mohaather colt; promising debut and second start, both over 6f, but appeared not to stay when stepped up down the field in a maiden at Goodwood most recent; in good form prior; contender Below par latest having shaped well on first two starts; interesting on AW/handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (4/1 -33%)Space Bear |
4/1(-33%) | (1) Space Bear 4/1, £14,000 2yo; Space Blues filly; won well on debut when scoring by 2l over C&D; below par fourth beaten 14l in a novice at Yarmouth latest; hood first time; should be in the mix back here Strong puller; C&D winner on debut; pulled too hard latest; hood tried; needs to settle. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Space Bear was too keen when finishing fourth on her turf bow at Yarmouth earlier this month and shouldn't be underestimated reverting to the C&D of her debut victory. However, SPORTING LIGHT has been knocking on the door in this company and rates as the most solid proposition. A 1lb rise in the ratings for his latest second at Chester could prove lenient. Baggot Street is also noted.

The vote goes to SPORTING LIGHT, who makes his AW debut having finished runner-up in turf nurseries on his last two starts.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

LITTLE KEILEE was far too free to see out 1m when weakening into fifth at Chelmsford 12 days ago and this contest is there for the taking if she can settle better. A drop in trip and removal of the visor could prove fruitful for James Owen's mare and a fourth career victory may beckon. Four-time course winner White Umbrella is feared most, ahead of Dream Illusion.

In a tricky handicap NOISY MUSIC, who has a good record here, is taken to beat turf winner Sharon Curly and C&D winner Ornately.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

KENTO returns to this venue for the first time since landing a handicap here in March. Tony Carroll's charge showed signs of a resurgence when third on the turf at Lingfield last time and it could be his turn again at this lower level. Black Cab won over a longer trip here in the spring and could make his presence felt, while the recent Redcar runner-up Sanbona is another to bear in mind.

He is a 15-race maiden but SANBONA, the only 3yo in the field, has had few chances at 5f and is marginally preferred in a modest event.

DAYTONA LADY may not have won since last autumn, but that victory came off a 2lb higher mark over C&D. With her recent placed efforts strongly suggesting she is ready to strike again, Ruth Carr's sprinter could prove the one to side with. Glory Hyde went close at Carlisle a week ago and is unexposed on the all-weather. She could have a say in the outcome, as well as Dark Side Prince.

Several possibles but HAVANA SKY (nap) looked ready to win when running into traffic problems at Chelmsford 12 days ago.

40/1(-21%) | (5) Golden Move 40/1, Solid stint over hurdles, including a couple of places and win; but also poor since returning to this sphere; below par down the field in a handicap over 1m5f at Hamilton most recent; hard to recommend 1m4f winner for Richard Fahey; has since won over hurdles; best watched on AW debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

A winner at Chester last month, TEAM PLAYER went close to adding to his tally when beaten a neck in a Shegar Cup race at Ascot last time. Raised only 2lb, Gemma Tutty's charge is taken to make the most of this drop in class and resume winning ways. It would be no surprise if the unexposed Lightning Touch proved a more potent force in this company, after finishing fourth at Newbury, and she can confirm form with Percy Jones (sixth).

The choice is TYPHOON DANCER who finished a sound third behind two progressive sorts on his latest AW start.
Ths is the racecard key.
