The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

EMMA'S LETTER is progressive and gained the success her previous form deserved in novice company at Newcastle 12 days ago. Now making her nursery debut and with more to come, it's difficult to envisage anything but a prominent showing. Zipwire has been knocking on the door and cannot be discounted, while Angelic Rascal should also be bang there at the business end.

With improvement highly likely, handicap debutante ANGELIC RASCAL looks particularly interesting. Emma's Letter is second choice.

There are a couple of interesting debutants going to post for this maiden and the market should tell us more in regards to the chances of Coral Cathedral and Sassicaia. Experience can win the day, though, and TEWKESBURY can improve from an encouraging debut performance at Southwell last month. Fourth that day and beaten just two lengths, the gelding might just have the edge.

The most solid contenders on form are TEWKESBURY (narrowly preferred) and Double Combo.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

MERSEA ISLAND is the one to be on. The penny seems to have dropped as he won as he liked at Southwell before following up with a creditable second, beaten just a head, over C&D last time. With the promise of more to come, Charlie Johnston's charge is taken to prove too strong for Moon Sniper and C&D winner Palace Boy.

The new trip may well enable CRACKERGEE to find some improvement and open his account. Mersea Island is feared most.

4/1(-78%) | (2) Horace Wallace 4/1, Knew his job and was readily brushed aside when beaten 5 1/4l in a maiden at Newcastle on debut; bred to be effective around 6f and should improve on that first effort. Shaped better than the bare result (fifth of seven) in Newcastle maiden. |

8th (3) (125/1 -89%)Regal And Real |
125/1(-89%) | (3) Regal And Real 125/1, Took a step back from a modest debut when comfortably held in a novice at Lingfield last time; yet to find suitable conditions and looks up against it until handicapping. Has weak claims on form. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

SIDE DEAL shaped with plenty of encouragement when filling the runner-up spot on his racecourse bow at York in May before subsequently disappointing at Nottingham the following month. Returning from six months off the track, a repeat of his first effort would likely suffice. Yes Waliim placed at Southwell in July and is respected following a gelding operation, while Horace Wallace is entitled to step forward from his Newcastle debut.

Judged on his York effort, SIDE DEAL sets a clear standard. Second choice is Yes Waliim.

6/1(+63%) | (5) Orne 6/1, Below form when beaten 7 1/4l in a Newcastle handicap last time. Suited by 6f and acts well on the AW. Needs to bounce back to earlier form. Not solid on his form for current stable; admittedly well treated on historical data. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (6) (10/1 +50%)Irish Nectar |
10/1(+50%) | (6) Irish Nectar 10/1, Made late gains off a steady pace when beaten 5l in a Newcastle handicap last time. Had been in good form prior and is fairly treated if returning to that level. Nicely handicapped on best turf form; failed to show it last time (AW/stable debut). |

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

AL KARRAR returned from just over three years off the track when finishing a more than respectable third in a Yarmouth handicap in September. The formerly smart juvenile displayed enough to suggest he retains a fair level of ability and has been given enough time to recover from that effort. Purest Time drops in grade after finishing second to a progressive type in a valuable York handicap. Papa Cocktail is noted too.

There may still be further progress in DUBAI BLING, who is first choice ahead of Purest Time.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (11/2 +21%)Fletchers Dream |
11/2(+21%) | (5) Fletchers Dream 11/2, Scored by 3/4l off 60 at Newcastle three starts back but didn't find for pressure and ran below form last time. Effective at 6/7f, acts on a sound surface, and is just 1lb above his last winning mark. Successful twice during an otherwise inconsistent 2025 campaign. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

33/1(+34%) | (10) Falmouth Boy 33/1, Well below form when beaten 8l in a handicap at Lingfield last time. Trained by a top course trainer with a wide draw; effective at 6/7f and acts on all-weather but has completely lost form. Maiden; poor claims on 2025 form. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

ZOULU WARRIOR was never in contention after missing the break at Lingfield last time but his efforts prior to that, including over C&D the time before, would give him every chance of getting his head back in front. Others to note are Sioux Warrior, who should appreciate a drop back to 6f, and Buraback, who is of interest returning from a break.

The withdrawal of initial selection Bluebells Boy promotes ZOULU WARRIOR to first choice, ahead of Sioux Warrior and Buraback.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Combustion was really progressive in classified stakes/handicap company earlier in the year and is very much respected. He does have an absence to overcome, though, and perhaps TWILIGHT MADNESS is the safer play as he scored at Lingfield last week and the quick turnaround under a penalty suggests he's come out of that race well. Clover Time is noted too.

Having knocked on the door over C&D of late, RYE is taken to get off the mark. Three-time C&D winner Eldeyaar is second choice.

SUB THIRTEEN comes in here on the back of a win and a second-placed effort and will likely go close in what isn't a particularly strong handicap. Peregrine Falcon tries a first-time hood in the hope she'll be able to turn a creditable effort in defeat into a win. Good Earth is another who might represent a bit of each-way value.

Course specialist GUSTAV GRAVES (nap) arrives in rude health and can post his eighth win here. Insuspense is feared most.

There are three C&D winners in here and PENELOPE VALENTINE is one of them. She was back to form when scoring narrowly at Lingfield last month and might be worth sticking with while she's evidently on good terms with herself. Noisy Music was a beaten favourite last time but cannot be given up on, while Minshaar also makes some appeal.

The suggestion is PEARLY SQUIRREL, who ran promisingly over C&D on her debut for Dave Lougnane. Minshaar is second choice.
Ths is the racecard key.
