Clive Cox has sent out three winners from 22 attempts on the all-weather for his juveniles this year and newcomer Horwich will be hoping to add to that tally, but it might be a tough ask to get the better of VARIETY ACT. The son of Lope De Vega did everything right but win when beaten a neck into second on his introduction at Chelmsford and, with that experience under his belt, he is tough to oppose. Bergamo Gold is the pick of the remainder.

The suggestion is TEN CUIDADO as the form of last month's C&D fourth has a solid look about it.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

The in-form Electric Avenue finished a creditable second over track and trip on her latest outing and has to be considered off the same mark. C&D winner Lady Wingalong is also respected, but BELLA BISBEE made the perfect start for the Scott Dixon yard over course-and-distance last week and a similar display would make her very difficult to beat, despite her 5lb penalty.

This can go to LADY WINGALONG, who has a good win record and shaped as though returning to form when third here last time.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Thanh Nam accounted for AKRIVOS by just under three lengths over a mile at Chelmsford last time, but competes off less favourable terms and the extra furlong might just benefit Ian Williams' youngster. Furthermore, this is only his second appearance in a nursery and the son of Blue Point could have more to offer. Keep a close eye on the market for Blue Mountains with Marco Ghiani booked.

Recent Chelmsford winner Thanh Nam is respected but the third from that race AKRIVOS might turn the tables here.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (100/1 -100%)Equity Release |
100/1(-100%) | (6) Equity Release 100/1, Below debut level when comfortably held in a juvenile bumper at Huntingdon last time; 12f looks a good starting point on the Flat but others appear stronger. Showed only minor promise in two Huntingdon bumpers this autumn; Flat debut today. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Military Cross has had plenty of chances now and this frustrating gelding might have to settle for second again, behind SIOUXFONIC. A bumper winner at Sedgefield, James Owen's charge finished a neck second at Southwell on his first start on the Flat last month - suggesting this extra furlong would really suit. Caliban is best of the rest in this maiden.

Andrew Balding's CALIBAN finished behind Siouxfonic last month but that was his first run since April and he can improve.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

ALLIGATOR ALLEY is difficult to oppose. He has the bit between his teeth at the moment and confirmed the Southwell form with Cloud King when recording a double at Chelmsford recently. The quick turnaround suggests he's come out of that race in good nick and Ruth Carr's gelding can carry a 4lb penalty to success to round out the hat-trick in style. Secret Mistral and Master Of My Fate are next best.

Most can be queried but ALLIGATOR ALLEY (nap) has been making hay on the AW and has a good chance of completing the hat-trick.

Lingfield scorer Fascinating Shadow boasts every chance despite the burden of top-weight, while C&D scorer Sneaky Blinder will no doubt prove popular with punters as well. However, it could be worth chancing BREAK POINT at the opposite end of the weights as he produced a really promising second-placed effort when back on the Flat here last time. The step up in trip is an interesting angle.

Although unproven at 2m on the Flat, BREAK POINT looks the one to beat having been in fine form since joining Olly Murphy.

MONTY BEAU has shaped with a good bit of promise in three maiden/novice runs so far and could be well treated off 72 now sent handicapping for the first time for a shrewd yard. Placed in 1m AW novice races on his first three appearances, MONTY BEAU is taken to make a winning handicap debut.

FLIGHTOFTHEPHOENIX could be the one to side with. She wasn't at her best here last time, but it could be worth forgiving her one lacklustre run because her previous efforts at Chelmsford and Kempton were really solid. Barry's Boy has performed well in defeat in a couple of starts since switching to the all-weather, while I Am Me is another to note.

The pick is class-dropper RAJAPOUR, who has gone a long time since his latest win but sports new headgear and is well handicapped.

A trappy finale for punters to solve and STATE OF MADNESS just edges it. He hasn't finished outside of the first two home in each of his last four starts, which includes three wins, and it was encouraging that he was able to transfer his good turf form back to the all-weather when scoring at Newcastle latest. You can make cases for several of the others, but Ziggy's Condor and Mumayaz are the pick of them.

State Of Madness is respected but it may be worth chancing the promising BRAKEMAN on his handicap debut now back at 6f.
Ths is the racecard key.
