ABINGWORTH benefited from the misfortune of a faller when he landed a similar race at Warwick last month. Having won in a facile manner at Wincanton on his previous start, Gary and Josh Moore's seven-year-old is on a roll and a 2lb higher rating is manageable for the hat-trick bid. God's Own Getaway and Full Monty are logical options to fight it out for second place.

Abingworth bids to complete a hat-trick, but GOD'S OWN GETAWAY may be able to reverse recent Warwick placings with him.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (6/1 +20%)Salamanca Bay |
6/1(+20%) | (5) Salamanca Bay 6/1, Made too much use of 4l third in a handicap chase over 2m at Chepstow most recent run but hinted at revival off much reduced mark; significant jockey booking; chance if building on latest Perhaps went off a bit too hot when third behind Jet Of Dreams at Chepstow. |

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

The dependable JET OF DREAMS is likely to be tough to deal with as he bids for back-to-back victories after a hard-fought success at Chepstow last month. A 4lb higher mark looks fair and, reunited with James Bowen, there is plenty to like. Doyouknowwhatimean was only beaten by a neck in what turned out to be something of a match race most recently and is an obvious danger to the selection running off the same mark. Jolyjump and Salamanca Bay also command respect.

If SALAMANCA BAY can race a little more within himself than at Chepstow he might reverse those placings with Jet Of Dreams.

Several of these appeal on paper, not least RECKLESS SPENDING, who was purchased for 200,000 pounds after he filled the runner-up spot in his only start in an Irish point-to-point. The son of Sholokhov is an attractive proposition starting out under Rules for Nicky Henderson. However, this is unlikely to be plain sailing for the selection, with the likes of Madajovy, Captain Hugo and Hans Lippershey all holding bumper experience, while Stung By Tariffs is an appealing newcomer to also monitor in the betting.

Reckless Spending has to be of strong interest but CAPTAIN HUGO edges preference soon after his encouraging debut at Hereford.

ICE IN THE VEINS caught the eye when making a promising start to his career at Warwick last month and it would be no surprise to see Dan Skelton's gelding go one better with that outing under his belt. Coastal Command comes from a family his trainer knows extremely well and the son of Scorpion is likely to enter calculations along with Lyrical Choice.

Experience could count and Warwick runner-up ICE IN THE VEINS gets the nod ahead of Gaelic Glow who shaped nicely at Uttoxer.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

JENA D'OUDAIRIES got off the mark at Chepstow on her penultimate outing before not being disgraced in a competitive handicap at Cheltenham. This appears to be a much simpler task for Paul Nicholls' mare, who is taken to defy a 7lb penalty. Hard Dealt stepped forward from her hurdling debut when finishing second at Chepstow in March and the manner of that performance suggested a step up in trip would likely benefit her. Others to note are Brooklyn Callin and Mistletoe.

The 6yo JENA D'OUDAIRIES has a penalty as the only rules winner in the field but she brings the best form.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

SIREKOFF was headed near the finish in a novices' handicap at Bangor last month and looks worth another chance with a tongue-tie and cheekpieces combination added. Assuming the headgear has the desired impact, David Pipe's gelding could be hard to handle. Thankyourluckystar and Alexandra Larose can chase him home, although Kiss My Face and Keppel Queen should not be discounted.

David Pipe's SIREKOFF was well backed when finishing second at Bangor and the addition of cheekpieces may give him a lift.

16/1(+52%) | (7) Jysuis 16/1, Raced freely well beaten in a novice over 12f at Newcastle latest when went too fast; not proven trip; bit to find and big stamina concerns Made it 0-8 over hurdles when tailed off in a 2m4f handicap on good ground at Sedgefield. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

BROOMFIELD GALE won a similarly weak race at Stratford last week and has to be of interest turned out under a 7lb penalty. However, her temperament can sometimes get the better of her and, having run out, pulled up and refused to race on her three previous starts, she is not without risk. Fellow last-time out winner The Wire Flyer could capitalise if the selection boils over again, while Getaway With You and Les's Jersey Royal also command respect.

Last week's two winners come with risks so a chance is taken that MANALA will revive back on good ground.

Ivane has looked a shade high in the ratings since scoring at Southwell in March. He could still have a say in the outcome, but OUR LIL makes most appeal. The four-year-old maiden hurdle winner was set a stiff task at Cheltenham on her handicap debut, but this could prove more her level and Dan Skelton's inmate gets the vote. Wincanton winner Basman Palace returns to this shorter trip with a shout.

This can go to IVANE (nap), another to have been reinvigorated by the switch to the James Owen stable.
Ths is the racecard key.
