12/1(+25%) | (6) Deal Em High 12/1, Poor chase debut comfortably held in a handicap chase over 2m1f here last time; generally out of form over hurdles prior; lot to find 0-14 over hurdles and soundly beaten on recent chase debut; 9lb out of the handicap today. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (4/1 -100%)Fat Sam |
4/1(-100%) | (2) Fat Sam 4/1, Bit below form flattening out late after wind op looking in need of the run 14l third in a handicap chase at Uttoxeter most recent run; second run after wind op; very well treated on old efforts; strong claims 11yo; no win since July 2022 but could build upon last month's fair third at Uttoxeter. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (15/2 -125%)Redbridge Rambler |
15/2(-125%) | (1) Redbridge Rambler 15/2, Pulled up in a handicap chase over 3m at Warwick latest where failed to handle track; this more suitable; contender if back to level of spring form Won by 8l at Chepstow in March but disappointing the next twice and needs to bounce back. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (15/2 -36%)Wild Nephin |
15/2(-36%) | (4) Wild Nephin 15/2, Outpaced, disappointing chase debut comfortably held in a handicap chase over 2m5f at Cartmel last time; may prefer this quicker ground; fair mark on hurdle form; risky Tailed off on chase debut but on soft; could leave that behind when back on better ground. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (10/3 +33%)Rajjamataz |
10/3(+33%) | (3) Rajjamataz 10/3, Pulled up in a handicap chase at Southwell latest where let down by jumping; trainer in form; fair mark on autumn form; likely to need this A return to form is needed but he could get back on track following a break and wind op. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

REDBRIDGE RAMBLER ran too badly to be true when pulled up at Warwick last time and might be better judged on his previous efforts this year. This drop in trip looks a good move and with Sean Bowen remaining in the plate, he could be the one to beat. Rajjamataz lurks on a workable mark and makes his first start after undergoing a wind operation, so he is one to watch out for. Imperial Measure is the pick of the remainder.

Point and handicap hurdle winner WILD NEPHIN could be a different proposition now back on better ground for his second chase start.

25/1(-14%) | (1) Jimmy The Digger 25/1, Made too much use of and set it up for closer 17l third in a handicap chase over 3m at Southwell most recent run; dropping in weights but doesn't look quite the force of old; others preferred Couldn't make the most of a soft lead in a small field at Southwell (3m, good). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (4) (100/1 -25%)Au Fleuron |
100/1(-25%) | (4) Au Fleuron 100/1, Jumped abysmally, stopped quickly 103l third in a handicap chase over 2m5f at Market Rasen most recent run; tongue-tie first time; regressive Lots to prove on recent efforts and has another tweak on the headgear front. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

I'm A Starman is unbeaten in his last four outings over the smaller obstacles and provided the 12-year-old transfers that form to fences, he holds an obvious chance. No No Maestro finished second at Fontwell last month and is noted, but RIVER OF JOY looks the way to go. The eight-year-old went in by eight lengths at Hexham in May and considering the manner of that triumph, she can defy her 7lb rise.

It's over two years since I'M A STARMAN (nap) last tried chasing but he returns to this discipline off a good mark and bang in form.

200/1(-60%) | (9) Molly's Angel 200/1, Refused in a novice hurdle over 2m3f at Exeter latest; poor in bumpers prior; absent for very lengthy period; all to do Has no worthwhile form and has been absent since early 2023. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (2) (150/1 -88%)Aceofadiamond |
150/1(-88%) | (2) Aceofadiamond 150/1, Below par down the field in a bumper over 2m here most recent; regressive in that sphere; second run after wind op; all to do on hurdle debut Poor form in bumpers and this headgear combination made no difference last time. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

STUMPS OR SLIPS justified favouritism to remain unbeaten in three outings since switching to the Olly Murphy stable and is an interesting contender back over the smaller obstacles. In his current form, he looks tough to oppose. Betty's Tiara sports first-time cheekpieces after her runner-up effort at Southwell and she has to be considered. Shadows In The Sky completes the shortlist.

Preference is for STUMPS OR SLIPS who has been going great guns over fences for his new yard and has no penalty back over hurdles.

7th (1) (12/1 +0%)Might I |
12/1(+0%) | (1) Might I 12/1, Below par down the field in Coral Cup (Handicap Hurdle) over 2m5f at Cheltenham most recent; this much easier; returning from a break; vulnerable to less exposed rival Ran quite well in the Coral Cup last time and has since changed hands for £35,000. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

HANDLETHEKETTLE struggled over fences at Ffos Las in May but bounced straight back to form when reverting to timber over C&D last month. Jamie Snowden's gelding made all that day and they couldn't get near him. Given he did the same three starts ago when comfortably landing a novice hurdle at Taunton, there is good reason to believe this dual course winner hasn't reached his ceiling of ability yet. Get The Value gets plenty of weight and he heads the list of dangers from My Chiquita.

A useful race but THE HEIGHT OF FAME is on a handy mark, should get her favoured good ground and she's very able when fresh.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

FINE BY ME came good last summer when winning comfortably at Stratford and this could be the time to catch him on the back of a creditable Warwick second. Sam Twiston-Davies takes over in the plate and all looks set for a big run. Of the others, keep a close eye on C&D winner Stripe Of Honour and Shibuya Song.

None of these are overly convincing but SPORTY JIM has no I'm A Starman to worry about this time.

7th (3) (12/1 +25%)Mr Yeats |
12/1(+25%) | (3) Mr Yeats 12/1, Outpaced, found trip too sharp well beaten in a handicap hurdle here latest; generally out of form prior; tongue-tie first time; dropping in weights but needs 3m Modest run here 12 days ago and the first-time tongue-tie needs to make a difference. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

JANWORTH was in command when falling at the final flight at Southwell but wasted no time in making amends over C&D three days later. Jamie Snowden's mare must compete from an 8lb higher mark now, but she remains open to further progress and is expected to go in again. Handicap debutant The Great Escape makes obvious appeal, as does Pacific, who finished third under Freddie Keighley at Huntingdon in May.

Jamie Snowden's JANWORTH is shooting up the weights but for good reason and this lightly raced 8yo can go in again.

AUNTIE MAGGIE has been in the form of her life recently, winning three of her last four starts with the latest of those coming at Uttoxeter last month. Alastair Ralph's mare will need to progress further following a 6lb rise but she is clearly thriving at present and may well be up to it. Aquifolia finished a promising second over C&D recently and is interesting now switched to handicaps, while Formel Park heads the remainder.

The vote goes to the progressive AUNTIE MAGGIE, who has won three of her last four starts and was unchallenged at Uttoxeter last time.
