The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Rajak is very much respected for a top yard on his nursery debut. However, SPIRIT STAR is the one to be on, as there was some promise in her maiden outings at Wolverhampton and Chelmsford and she's handicapping for the first time off a light weight. Beach Partee ran in the Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot and is feared most sporting a first-time visor.

Neither Spirit Star nor BEACH PARTEE have kicked on from their promising debut runs yet but they may do so now handicapping.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (6/1 +14%)Sara Moon |
6/1(+14%) | (6) Sara Moon 6/1, Improved from debut experience second beaten 1 1/4l in a novice at Lingfield latest; quite small, but useful sprinting filly; threat if handling the softer ground Big step forward when second last time; may have been flattered but she's still respected. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Zighy cost 400,000gns as a yearling and goes for the in-form George Boughey yard on debut. She is interesting but might prove better as she steps up in trip and, with that in mind, NOVELETTE gets the vote. The Crisfords' juvenile possibly didn't enjoy the track when second at Ripon on her most recent outing and now sports a first-time hood. A reproduction of either of her two career starts to date might be good enough. Sara Moon completes the shortlist.

Zighy is an interesting newcomer but NOVELETTE was all at sea at Ripon and can likely do better yet.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

MAJAZ only found the subsequent Listed scorer Blue Bolt too good at Newbury on her most recent start and the daughter of Dubawi may have lots more to offer. With the Roger Varian yard in fine form at present, she looks tough to oppose. Hello Goodbye outran her odds of 20/1 on her introduction when a neck second at Newcastle in May and is one to take seriously, along with Godolphin runner Heart Of Eternity.

No doubt MAJAZ was flattered to get close to a subsequent Listed winner on return but that was still a good effort and she gets the nod.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

22/1(+0%) | (6) Match Anthem 22/1, Appeared not to stay fourth beaten 4 1/2l in a classified race here latest; better form on AW; others preferred Probably not quite so good on turf but he's down to his last winning mark; not ruled out. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

It's easy to see why the hat-trick seeking Heer's Sadie will have her supporters after her C&D triumph in an apprentice handicap six days ago, but a chance can be taken on GALILEO'S COMPASS. The five-year-old sprung a 40/1 surprise at Windsor late last month, but there wasn't any fluke about the manner of that success. Therefore, he can defy his 5lb penalty to complete a double. Fire Eyes is the pick of the remainder.

Unexposed pair Tommy's Promise and HINITSA BAY look interesting and a narrow vote goes to the latter under Billy Loughnane.

8/1(-14%) | (6) Naughty Niall 8/1, Ideally suited by trip beaten 1/4l off 50 at Leicester last time; better form on AW; usually held up; probably bit to come but needs to prove effectiveness on easier ground Best run since December when beaten a neck at Leicester on turf four days ago; same mark. |

12/1(-71%) | (8) Honrado 12/1, Did not get a clear run beaten 2l off 45 over 12f at Leicester last time; significant jockey booking; outside chance but maiden status a concern Respectable fourth (1m4f, good to firm) 13 days ago; drop back in trip not a clear plus. |

18/1(-80%) | (4) Danehill Star 18/1, Bit in hand scored by 2 1/2l off 54 over 9f at Wolverhampton three starts back; best effort on turf despite having to make the running third beaten 2l off 60 last time; suited by 10f, acts on fast ground and AW; soft ground here a worry Running well in the visor, two AW wins and respectable third on turf (1m2f) latest; chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (3) (5/2 +55%)Little Tiger |
5/2(+55%) | (3) Little Tiger 5/2, Ran to form beaten 3/4l off 58 at Leicester last time; significant jockey booking; consistent; versatile ground wise; could figure Built on solid comeback when beaten less than 1l at Leicester (1m2f) in May; respected. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Palazzo Persico made the most of a small-field affair when scoring by six lengths at Brighton at the start of the month and warrants respect in his bid to complete a quickfire double. However, this contest looks deeper and a 5lb penalty may be enough to anchor the four-year-old, with CATHEDRAL PEAK getting the vote. George Baker's charge found only a subsequent winner too strong at Bath in May and a 1lb ease from the assessor could prove lenient. Naughty Niall is a feasible alternative.

It's well worth giving MC'TED the chance to build on his latest run. Things didn't go his way and he's down to a dangerous mark.

10/1(-25%) | (6) Sychell 10/1, Probably ran about to form on handicap debut beaten 4l off 70 over 6f at Leicester last time; may be at best on a sound surface; top jockey booked; conditions a worry All runs over 6f; okay handicap debut in May; pedigree says this trip can suit; considered. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Having made a winning stable bow at Wetherby last month, there could be more to come from LADY MARIKO. A 2lb rise looks workable for Dylan Cunha's filly and a brace may be in order. Noisy Music returned to form with a solid second at Southwell three weeks ago and she's feared most with Warren Fentiman claiming a handy 5lb. The up-in-distance So Sassy is worth a second look as well.

Having produced her best qualifying run over 7f, IRONIST (nap) can build on a fair handicap debut now returned to this trip.
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
