17:30 York (Class 4) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

A wide-open contest in which only a tentative vote can go to YAASER. Jim Goldie's charge caught the eye when staying on into third in the Ayr Gold Cup Trial on Monday, having been denied a clear run at a crucial stage. Stall 20 isn't ideal, but he is expected to be ridden patiently and returning to 7f looks a real positive. Quest For Fun won this off 3lb higher in 2023 and signs of a revival have been there for some time now. Others to note include Riot, Havana Prince and Commander Of Life.

Plenty have possibilities but the vote goes to ORMOLULU, who didn't get any luck in a Class 3 over C&D last time.

18:03 York (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

MOLTEN SEA has bumped into a couple of in-form rivals when occupying the runner-up spot recently, but the improving four-year-old can have his day in the sun this time around. There will be plenty of challengers, including Northumberland Vase hero Savrola, who looks fairly treated from a 5lb higher mark. Rock N Roll Pinkie didn't get the clearest of passages when third over C&D earlier this month but is respected, along with Marbuzet, who finished a place ahead of her that day.

Last year's runner-up VALLEY OF FLOWERS returned to form with a close second over 1m3f at Carlisle three weeks ago and earns the vote.

GOLD DAWN failed to build on a promising debut second when ninth at Haydock, but he may have been sent to the front too soon before weakening late on to be beaten three lengths at the line. He might be worth another chance in this field if held up for longer. Amakhala Warrior was ahead of him that day when winning by a head but now has to give the suggestion 4lb, while Deauville third Ellusive Butterfly as another expected to mount a challenge.

This can go to the penalised AMAKHALA WARRIOR, who did well to defy trouble in running on last month's debut at Haydock.

19:13 York (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Noble Consort arrives with consistency on his side with five top-two finishes this year including victory last time out at Doncaster. Upped 7lb for his last success, the four-year-old has more to do here, and preference is for ALFA WHITEBURD. A length second here in May, he is 5lb better with winner Ingleby Archie now and can be forgiven his latest run at Doncaster. Wherever he finishes, Ingleby Archie wont be far behind and may even prove to be his biggest rival, despite top weight.

Juan Les Pins has been threatening of late and he has to be respected but NOBLE CONSORT can continue his fine run.

19:48 York (Class 1) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

Trainer Ralph Beckett landed this contest last year, and he looks to have another ideal candidate in REVOIR, who drops in grade after contesting the Oaks last time out. Narrowly denied at this level when second at Newbury before that, the daughter of Study Of Man narrowly sets the standard on form, and she is preferred to Rainbows Edge, who has won three of her five starts, and looked in need of a step up in trip when seventh in the Kensington Palace last month. Victory Queen lost her unbeaten record when fourth at Sandown, but she still ran with credit and is likely to be thereabouts.

The step back up in trip could be just what RAINBOWS EDGE needs, and the lightly raced 4yo can return to winning ways.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

LADY ROXBY has been a revelation since joining the Michael Herrington yard and a slight rise in distance could eke out further improvement as she looks to follow up on a taking success at Beverley last time out. Narrowly denied over further at Hamilton, Top Juggler is a key player, along with the progressive Luna A Inbhir Nis, who has won five of her last six. Chester second Veydari and the consistent Tiva are others to consider for each-way purposes.

Having won at Beverley in the style of a filly who could have plenty more to offer, LADY ROXBY (nap) is taken to defy a 9lb rise.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
