LTO Selection:

11:55 Newcastle Stakes (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

YOUGOGLENCOKO won impressively on her racecourse bow over 2m at Kelso in September and Donald McCain's mare could be hard to beat once again, despite carrying a 7lb penalty. Storm Spirit failed to fire last time but is a player based on her debut effort over C&D, while The Dream Goes On and Nala The Lioness are others to note.

NALA THE LIONESS represents a shrewd stable and it's significant that she's taking the bumper route (Flat bred), so she can make a winning start if she stays. Thatswhatshesaid is another notable newcomer and Yougoglencoko is also of interest after a successful start at Kelso 108 days ago.

The return to AW could be a positive for C&D runner-up STORM SPIRIT who gets the nod ahead of Kelso winner Yougoglencoko.

LTO Selection:

12:12 Cork Maiden Hurdle 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Queen Of Seduction starts out over hurdles at a realistic level and with her stamina virtually assured from her time on the Flat, a big run from the five-year-old is highly likely. However, there are dangers aplenty and, with that in mind, it may be worth siding with the ex-French PAGGANE, who showed some ability on her debut run for Willie Mullins in a mares' maiden at Navan in November. Sure to be wiser, she can make her previous experience count. Will Wilde and Beggars Rock are a couple of others to consider.

Willie Mullins' fair ex-French Flat scorer PAGGANE made a promising start in this sphere after 19 months off when fifth at Navan and can build on it now to open his hurdling account. Will Wilde is another with better days ahead of him and rates a big threat though on the back of his debut Naas third. D Art D Art, Queen of Seduction and Leading Lion appeal as the pick of the rest for minor honours.

D ART D ART may be able to reverse form with Will Wilde with the benefit of a run under his belt and he may resume progress on heavy

Just 1-6 in points; beaten 29l on hurdling debut but the winner is useful.
LTO Selection:

12:20 Wincanton Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 21f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

A determined winner of a decent contest on his hurdling debut at Chepstow in November, HEROS DE ROMAY should have plenty more to come over this longer trip, and the ground should be of no concern either. Lord Of Thunder wasn't for catching here over 2m4f last time out and he must be a leading player, along with Paddy De Pole, who showed a modicum of promise on his Rules debut.

A few of these offer potential but there was a lot to like about LORD OF THUNDER's recent success here so he looks the way to go before tackling better things. Kim Bailey's likeable Chepstow scorer Heros de Romay should ensure Joe Tizzard's improving son of Getaway doesn't have things all his own way though, while Paddy de Pole can also take a step forward and needs factoring in too.

Joe Tizzard's LORD OF THUNDER has bounced back well from his stiff task first time out over hurdles and won easily here last time.

(3) Champ De Gane 6/1, Fairly useful maiden hurdler/chaser who is usually thereabouts, runner-up last 3 starts. Sold from Stuart Crawford £33,000 in September and he should give another good account.
0-17 but runner-up on five of his nine chase starts; might not be far away on stable debut.
LTO Selection:

12:30 Newcastle Handicap Chase (Class 3) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

GARDENER was a 30-length winner on his debut for Olly Murphy at Southwell a few weeks ago and is hard to oppose here even after a 10lb rise in the ratings. Findthetime scored at Wetherby two starts ago and is likely to go well once again, although he will have to improve on his most recent effort to beat the selection. Champ De Gane is a consistent performer who is the clear pick of the remainder.

A good winner at Wetherby on his penultimate start, FINDTHETIME shaped better than the distance beaten suggests having been badly hampered when fourth over further at Doncaster 21 days ago. He could be worth siding with to come out on top dropped back in trip. Gardener, an impressive winner on yard/chase debut at Southwell recently, should give him plenty to think about, however.

Gardener impressed on his chase debut at Southwell but preference is for FINDTHETIME, who had an excuse at Doncaster last time out.

LTO Selection:

12:47 Cork Maiden Hurdle 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

FLAMBOROUGH was arguably too keen for his own good when failing to land a telling blow in a Listed handicap hurdle at Fairyhouse but, back in these calmer waters, he sets a reasonable standard. A winner over C&D on his penultimate start, this represents a significant drop in class for the five-year-old, who is taken to make it two from two at this venue. Starman is an obvious threat on the back his Limerick success just eight days ago, while El Champo is also dangerous to underestimate.

A tight affair. EL CHAMPO shaped as if still in good form when fourth on his Limerick chase debut over Christmas and might be able to provide Philip Rothwell with a second successive win in this contest. Striking didn't figure at Leopardstown over Christmas but had run well at Punchestown prior to that and is respected with Jack Kennedy stepping in for the ride. Last week's Limerick scorer Starman is another who should have a say.

Not much between these on paper, but FLAMBOROUGH makes plenty of appeal as a C&D winner who was generally reliable during 2023

12:55 Wincanton Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 15f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

MAJESTIC JAMEELA didn't disgrace herself in Listed company at Newbury and this represents a significant drop in grade, so she may be able to return to the form that saw her win easily at Leicester on her penultimate outing. Fresh Kiss is one to note for market support ahead of her UK/jumping debut, while it is also worth keeping an eye on Mairis Icon.

A four-time winner from 11 starts on the Flat, FRESH KISS is an interesting recruit from France and she could be up to making a winning hurdles debut for Jamie Snowden. Majestic Jameela can give another good account.

Majestic Jameela sets the standard but a chance is taken on four-time French Flat winner FRESH KISS.

LTO Selection:

13:05 Newcastle Handicap Hurdle (Class 3) 24f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Juge Et Parti (first) and Teescomponentstrig (second) are closely matched based on their meeting at Hexham last month and both merit plenty of respect as a result. That said, marginal preference is for GUERNESEY, who may have found an extended 2m4f too sharp last time and is better judged on his narrow second over 3m2f at Kelso the time before.

ARTIC MANN has returned from a long absence just about as good as ever and can be afforded a bit extra credit on her most recent outing having fared best of those held up, so she's the percentage call in a tightly-knit handicap. Curley Finger could get an easy time of things out in front and is second choice, ahead of Teescomponentstrig.

The step back up in trip should be ideal for GUERNESEY (nap), who stayed on well for fifth over 2m4f at Ayr last time.

13:22 Cork Maiden Hurdle 24f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

LARGY HILL made a jumping debut full of promise when second behind a hot favourite and subsequent Grade 2 runner-up over 2m4f at Navan and he should come on plenty for that experience, so he is likely to prove very hard to beat. Zaidi has shown enough ability in his five hurdling starts to suggest he should be very competitive in a maiden of this nature and he might prove the main threat. Of the remainder, Jasmin De Cotte makes the most appeal after his sixth at Cork in November.

LARGY HILL shaped well when runner-up to a useful prospect on his hurdling debut at Navan in November and, with the step up in trip expected to suit judged on his pedigree, he's the obvious choice to go one better. Zaidi and Kinturk Kalanisi are considered the main threats.

The standard is set by Zaidi but preference is for LARGY HILL whose form is working out and he should improve stepping up in trip

LTO Selection:

13:30 Wincanton Handicap Chase (Class 3) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Fast Buck continues to creep down the ratings and is certainly capable of being competitive, as is Magic Saint, who has a 206-day absence to overcome but boasts a record of two wins from three starts at this venue. Prince Quali and Fakir are by no means out of it either, but a chance is taken on MR GREY SKY. Although disappointing at Newbury last time, he won his two previous races at Huntingdon and Chepstow and forecast heavy ground will be right up his street. The 10-year-old may also improve for the application of first-time cheekpieces.

MAGIC SAINT had been running well in hunters before seeming amiss back in a handicap at Newton Abbot in June and is worth another chance back from a break off what remains a tempting mark. Mr Grey Sky is feared most.

Trappy. FAST BUCK lurks on a dangerous mark and could be worth chancing with the stable having two winners with its last three runners.

13:40 Newcastle Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 17f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

FORGED WELL was hampered by the errant jumping of one of his rivals three times during his hurdles debut at Carlisle last month and having shown professionalism to emerge as a comfortable winner, he is a likely type to cope with a penalty. Two Auld Pals made an encouraging first start in this discipline at Bangor and rates the biggest threat, ahead of the returning Konfusion.

TWO AULD PALS hit the target 3 times on the Flat in 2023 and found only a previous winner too strong on his recent Bangor hurdle debut, so he's taken to make the most of the 7 lb he receives from the penalised Forged Well, who won readily at Carlisle despite jumping markedly right. Konfusion could be the one to fill the places.

Three-time Flat winner TWO AULD PALS made an encouraging start to his hurdling career when second at Bangor and can go one better.

13:57 Cork Handicap Hurdle 20f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

CATO'S REVENGE went clear to score by four and a half lengths in heavy conditions on his handicap debut at Limerick over Christmas. The seven-year-old now has a 12lb higher rating to contend with, but he should have more to offer and looks the one to beat. Abbeydale returned from a 262-day break to acquit himself well in fourth over 2m at Thurles and could relish this extra distance. Extrapolation is another to consider after his third at Punchestown on New Year's Eve.

EXTRAPOLATION was largely progressive as he scored 3 times last year and, following a solid third at Punchestown (on back of 3 months off) 6 days ago, it would come as no surprise to see him go well again back up in trip. Limerick-scorer Cato's Revenge is a big threat, with Abbeydale another to consider with the step back up in trip expected to suit.

Gordon Elliott's runner ABBEYDALE probably has more potential for improvement than any of the others and should be suited by the trip

14:05 Wincanton Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 15f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

ONE LAST GLANCE made a pleasing return from a lengthy absence when runner-up at Lingfield in November and the seven-year-old appears to have been found a suitable opportunity to get off the mark. Feach Amach was a surprise winner at Sedgefield when last seen and has to enter calculations on her handicap bow. Angel's Dream and Daany are both capable of being in the mix as well.

FEACH AMACH was arguably a shade fortunate when opening her account at Sedgefield but that still represented a significant step forward and she is taken to follow up on this handicap debut. She may have most to fear from Starevitch, who needs to get back on track now reverting to hurdles but it's entirely possible that he will do just that off this reduced mark. Angel's Dream and One Last Glance are others to consider.

An open race but Sedgefield winner FEACH AMACH is just the type that Nigel Hawke excels with and she can maintain her progress.

14:15 Newcastle Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

HANDSTANDS, who breezed through his only start in a point-to-point, showed stacks of promise to win by six and a half lengths on his hurdles debut at Hereford three weeks ago and is hard to oppose. The selection obviously shoulders a 7lb penalty, which creates hope for the likes of Hubbel Bubbel and Rock Steady Eddie, who can at least make a race of it.

HANDSTANDS is unbeaten in a point and a novice hurdle at Hereford and he should be capable of defying a penalty. Boolamore Classic and Mayheblucky have both shown ability between the flags, so they're the most feasible dangers.

This is an excellent opportunity for HANDSTANDS to maintain his unbeaten record. Maybe Boolamore Classic will be best of the rest.

14:32 Cork Maiden Chase 20f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

NOBLE BLUE may have disappointed when a well-fancied favourite at Tramore in November, but he is better judged on his previous second at Gowran Park behind a subsequent Grade 2 winner. That form looks the strongest on offer and he can get off the mark at the main expense of recent surprise Limerick hurdles scorer Aghmorough Bridge and Nephin Beg, whose only career triumph came over timber here in December 2022. Iron Allen and Knocknagappagh are capable of being in the shake-up as well.

NOBLE BLUE disappointed at Tramore last time bearing in mind his chase debut promise but it possibly came too soon just 17 days on and is worth another chance in what looks a winnable maiden. Jet Setting Johnny showed improved form on his second go chasing when third at Clonmel and is next best ahead of recent maiden hurdle winner Iron Allen.

JET SETTING JOHNNY has made a promising start to life over fences and the form of his 3rd at Clonmel last month is working out

14:40 Wincanton Handicap Chase (Class 3) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

GEORGES SAINT has stepped forward since his first crack at British fences with a pair of victories at Ffos Las and Fakenham. Venetia Williams' grey went up 7lb for the most recent success and further progression appears likely with conditions in his favour. Jacamar is well handicapped on his novice form and remains on the same mark as when runner-up here on Boxing Day. Iconic Muddle ran well when returning from a break at Kempton last season and is noted on this latest comeback off a 5lb lower mark.

GEORGES SAINT is weighted to go well again and looks the one to beat. Having found 3m too much of a test at Sandown last month, Huelgoat is of strong interest back at the scene of his latest success in November. Jacamar and Iconic Muddle are not discounted.

Life is about to get tougher for Georges Saint and preference is for GO STEADY who ran well in a higher grade at Cheltenham.

This can go the way of GOODOLDBILL, who was a determined winner over further here in November and should not be inconvenienced by the drop in distance on this occasion. A 3lb rise looks manageable and he can see off the likes of En Meme Temps and Empty Nest, who improved from first to second start over fences to finish a close-up third at Catterick last month.

EMPTY NEST made the odd mistake before rattling home in eye-catching fashion at Catterick last time, so he's worth a chance to put it all together now. Coolkill and Goodoldbill look the main threats.

STREET VALUE was an impressive winner of the Porterstown over 3m5f at Fairyhouse a month ago and merits plenty of respect once again, despite the drop in trip and a 7lb rise in the ratings. R'evelyn Pleasure also won well last time - at Limerick over Christmas - and could prove to be the main threat to the selection, although Baldur's Gate and Old Soul are others who could make the frame.

BALDUR'S GATE impressed with the way he travelled for a long way when third at Limerick last week, suggesting he could still be on the up. Last year's winner Weihnachts might have been aimed for this race again and is feared most, particularly if the market speaks in his favour.

Despite being 3lb out of the handicap WEIHNACHTS may be able to repeat last year's victory in this race for his in-form trainer

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

INDIVIDUALISTE bolted up over 2m3f at Taunton last week and he was only put up 4lb for that victory, which could prove to be very lenient, and he might be hard to beat again. Astronomic View has hit the crossbar the last twice and is likely to be on the premises off a 3lb higher mark than his latest effort at Bangor. Intimate could also have a say on his handicap bow after his close-up third at Uttoxeter.

Cases can be made for the majority of these with INTIMATE shading preference ahead of facile Taunton winner Individualiste. The selection appears to be going the right way judged on his close third at Uttoxeter and there could be better to come now that he ventures down the handicap route. Bumpy Johnson is on a winning mark back in this sphere and is best of the rest.

Low-mileage mare DON'T RIGHTLY KNOW (nap) was impressive when winning at Exeter in November and nearly followed up over C&D last month.

LTO Selection:

15:25 Newcastle Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

ROBERT D'ORES looked to hold every chance of breaking the maiden when unseating his rider two out over fences at Hexham last May, and he may be able to gain compensation on his return/switch to hurdles. The unexposed seven-year-old should have too much for handicap debutant Yealand, as well as Tommy Johnson, who is a player if bouncing back to the form of his debut second at Carlisle.

YEALAND looks to have got in lightly for his handicap bow so Jennie Candlish's lightly-raced 5-y-o gets the vote in a handicap where plenty arrive with a question mark against them. Tommy Johnson also goes into handicaps with more to offer so rates the main threat, while Robert d'Ores can't be discounted if on song for his seasonal return.

The most appealing option is YEALAND, who looked quite promising in his qualifying races. Tommy Johnson is second choice.

KNOCKARINA defied 80/1 odds when improving from her Galway debut to finish third at Fairyhouse last month and the daughter of Champs Elysees, who has proven herself on testing ground, is taken to get off the mark on this occasion. Familiar Dreams boasts plenty of experience and enters calculations, although she may prove vulnerable for win purposes. Cathedral Rocks is an interesting newcomer, with her dam an unraced full-sister to Irish Derby winner Trading Leather, and completes the shortlist.

CATHEDRAL ROCKS represents a shrewd yard so, while her pedigree doesn't provide any clues, she might be the way to go in a thin race. Familiar Dreams has the best form on show, so she's a player if able to bounce back, and Made A Chroi is another interesting debutant.

This isn't a deep race and it could be a good opportunity for FAMILIAR DREAMS who was knocking on the door all last season

LTO Selection:

15:50 Wincanton Handicap Chase (Class 5) 25f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

PERCY VEERING is unbeaten in three starts since undergoing a second wind operation and his latest success at Exeter suggested his winning streak isn't likely to come to an end just yet. He is now rated 19lb higher than at the beginning of his sequence, but could continue his rapid improvement. Haston Clermont struck at Lingfield last month and can prove the main threat off a 5lb higher rating, while Caeruleum may show more in a first-time tongue-tie.

CAERULEUM found Percy Veering too strong when first and second at Exeter last month but Caeruleum was making his chase debut that day so may be able to reverse the placings with a 5 lb swing in the weights. Haston Clermont was suited by the stamina test when off the mark at Lingfield and is best of the others.

He's shooting up the weights but PERCY VEERING is a likeable handicapper who keeps things simple and he might well win again.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Musical Touch just about sets the standard from those with previous experience but the form is modest and this might go the way of one of the newcomers. Cuban Tiger looks the part on paper and enter calculations starting out for a highly respected yard. However, WINTER WAR has synthetics winners in his pedigree and he shades the vote, with his stable having already enjoyed a profitable start to the new year.

An interesting novice for the time of the year with several interesting newcomers in opposition, including WINTER WAR. He makes plenty of appeal on paper for a yard amongst the winners and could be the way to go without the benefit of market clues. Cuban Tiger is interestin, too. Chelmsford eye-catcher Alfa Kelllenic completes the shortlist.

Preference is for MUSICAL TOUCH who looks the type to get better with racing and shaped nicely at Wolverhampton last time.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Artistic Mission was a respectable second to a bright prospect over 7f here last month and is noteworthy with a visor now tried as he drops in trip. Novarro, who cost 110,000gns as a yearling, boasts a solid pedigree and is another to note in the betting. However, ROMAN EMPEROR, a half-brother to a winner over this distance, ran a blinder when second on his all-weather debut last month and could be hard to beat with another step forward here.

ROMAN EMPEROR gets the nod to build on his recent Chelmsford second and make it third time lucky, although a strong market move for newcomer Novarro would put a slightly different slant on things. The other Sheikh Mohammed Obaid runner Artistic Mission should also be thereabouts.

This can go to ROMAN EMPEROR who looks the one to beat on his Newbury debut form and an encouraging return from a break at Chelmsford.

Refreshed by a break after being treated for stomach ulcers, CEPHALUS returned to form with a vengeance over this trip at Lingfield just before Christmas and is presented with a good chance of following up from just 4lb higher. Landlordtothestars is still unexposed at this distance and is suggested as the biggest threat to the selection off 3lb higher than last month's win over the extended mile at Wolverhampton, while Concert Boy is also considered from a handy mark.

CEPHALUS won off marks in the 70s during his time with Charlie Hills so a 4 lb rise for Lingfield doesn't look enough to stop him now he's back in form. Hollie Doyle takes over the reins on lightly-raced 6-y-o Top Button who is second choice ahead of Landlordtothestars.

17:15 Kempton Handicap (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

It might have taken ULTRAMARINE 21 attempts to open his account, but the son of Zoffany soon doubled that tally. David Evans' charge remains competitively treated judged on past exploits, so a 3lb rise for last month's Wolverhampton victory should not prevent him from mounting another stern challenge. First-time blinkers could elicit some improvement from Bowood, who continues to run well in defeat. Conquest Of Power tackles 7f for the first time and that looks a positive move.

A tricky opener with the narrow vote in favour of BOWOOD. He's run well all 3 starts since the cheekpieces were applied and, now equipped with blinkers, he could be worth chancing to finally shed the maiden tag. Ultramarine arrives having landed 2 of his last 3 starts and is feared most, ahead of Conquest of Power.

The vote goes to ULTRAMARINE who has won on AW in two of his last three runs. Bowood is feared most, ahead of Conquest Of Power

LTO Selection:

17:30 Southwell Handicap (Class 4) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

A small but competitive handicap, in which only a tentative vote can go to COTAI VISION. David Loughnane's charge was defeated by Billy Webster at Wolverhampton in November, but she is 6lb better off with that rival today, which could see her reverse the form. Out Of The Stars has been successful on two of her three career starts and looks an exciting prospect now pitched into handicaps, while neither Mart or Call Glory are able to be ruled out either.

BILLY WEBSTER made a winning handicap debut in ready fashion at Wolverhampton 6 weeks ago and, with that form proving strong, a 9 lb rise looks manageable. Cotai Vision and Mart both warrant respect.

The form of BILLY WEBSTER (nap)'s Wolverhampton success has received several boosts and he can defy the handicapper's advances.

LTO Selection:

17:45 Kempton Maiden (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Having bumped into the classy Dancing Gemini at Newbury in August, it was perhaps a little disappointing that FIRE DEMON was unable to score over 7f here a few weeks later. However, given that Andrew Balding's colt hasn't been able to see out the longer trip, the drop to 6f might be ideal. Tourist is closely matched with the selection on official ratings so he is expected to be the main danger. Thunder Flow is also noted.

FIRE DEMON ran with credit without being able to justify cramped odds here in September, yet Andrew Balding's charge had previously shaped most promisingly when chasing home a subsequent listed winner at Newbury in the summer and he's well worth another chance now dropping back to 6f. Tourist looks a threat on the back of his good Wolverhampton run ahead of Thunder Flow. Newcomer Nemov needs monitoring in the betting for clues.

Those with form are headed by FIRE DEMON and Tourist, with slight preference for Andrew Balding's son of Dark Angel.

18:00 Southwell Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

TOP OF THE CLASS bumped into an improver when narrowly denied at Kempton in November, but the daughter of Zoustar could go one better from just 1lb higher. That said, she's sure to face strong opposition from recent course winner Al Suil Eile and Turbo Command, who must compete from 4lb higher having been on target over track and trip last month. Others to note include Kath's Toyboy and Dr Rio.

A tentative vote goes to KATH'S TOYBOY, who ran well after a break behind an impressive winner over C&D last month. Turbo Command, Intoxicata and Top of The Class are a trio of others with solid-looking claims.

With his reappearance effort behind him KATH'S TOYBOY is taken to concede the weight all round. Turbo Command is feared most.

18:15 Kempton Stakes (Class 4) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

A C&D winner on his debut, Lessay is expected to prove popular under the penalty, but a chance can be taken on ROGUE RAIDER. Tom Clover has a solid record with three-year-olds on the all-weather in recent times and his newcomer, a well-related son of More Than Ready, might not have to be anything too far out of the ordinary. Persian Bliss will need monitoring in the betting ahead of his first start, and Lewis Barnes should not be underestimated either.

LESSAY got on top close home when making a winning debut over C&D last month and, with improvement on the cards, he looks the way to go. Newcomers Rogue Raider and Persian Bliss are both appealing on paper, while Newsreader showed promise on debut and is also worth considering.

There was plenty to like about the way LESSAY went about things when scoring on his C&D debut last month and he's taken to follow up.

18:30 Southwell Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

ANGEL AMADEA was able to exploit a drop in the handicap when recording a comfortable success at Wolverhampton last month, and a subsequent 7lb rise might not be enough to prevent her from repeating the dose. Once Adaay looks an obvious danger having been on target at Chelmsford last time, while Absolute Dream is another that must enter the reckoning.

DIAMONDSINTHESAND hasn't enjoyed the rub of the green since getting off the mark at Wolverhampton and can capitalise on a handy-looking mark now. Recent-scorers Angel Amadea and Once Adaay rate the obvious threats, with Absolute Dream another to consider in an open handicap.

Diamondsinthesand can fare better today but KITAAB is low-mileage for his age and could yet rate higher.

LTO Selection:

18:45 Kempton Handicap (Class 3) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

TOP SECRET ran out a comfortable winner on his latest C&D outing just before Christmas and the seven-year-old, who remains lightly raced on the all-weather, could have more to offer, despite a 6lb rise. Talis Evolvere chased home the selection on that occasion and the consistent performer is likely to be in the mix once again. Court Of Session and Aratus are others to consider.

TOP SECRET was well on toip when beating Talis Evolvere over C&D last time and is worth a chance to follow up at the possible expense of the same rival, who is respected. United Front has become well treated and is worthy of consideration after having no luck last time.

It was quite impressive the way TOP SECRET quickened up over C&D last month and he can extend his winning course sequence to four.

LTO Selection:

19:00 Southwell Handicap (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

PLATINUM JUBILEE put in a career best when a close second on her handicap debut over a mile at Kempton last month. The drop in trip and application of a first-time tongue-tie could help the daughter of Oasis Dream to get off the mark here. That said, the hat-trick seeking Storymaker is an obvious threat and Sixties Chic also merits consideration.

A case can be made for most of these but SIXTIES CHIC has slipped to an attractive mark and can bounce back to winning ways having not enjoyed the best of runs when third to Storymaker at Lingfield last time out. George Boughey's hat-trick seeker rates the main threat, although the less exposed Platinum Jubilee and C&D scorer Just Janet can also have a say in a competitive handicap.

Although SIXTIES CHIC was just over 2l behind Storymaker at Lingfield recently, she was caught wide and can turn the tables.

LTO Selection:

19:15 Kempton Handicap (Class 3) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

BRAZEN IDOL has run with credit in a couple of recent efforts at Wolverhampton and the return to this venue, where he scored on his only prior visit in September 2022, may help him back to winning ways. Tyger Bay went up 4lb for his latest success at Wolverhampton, with the selection perhaps needing the run when fading into fourth, and has to enter calculations. Bosh, Aljari and Expert Agent complete the shortlist.

TYGER BAY confirmed previous promise when arriving late to score at Wolverhampton 33 days ago and he has an excellent record at this track, so he gets the nod over Bosh and Masterclass, who both arrive on the back of solid efforts.

Several are possibles but BRAZEN IDOL still looks on a handy mark and he's preferred to Rocking Ends and Masterclass.

19:30 Southwell Handicap (Class 6) 6f, Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

COME ON GIRL bounced back to form when a head second over 6f at Lingfield a couple of weeks ago and she could be hard to beat if reproducing that level of form here. Urban Dandy made the frame in a similar event to this at Newcastle last time and should not be underestimated, while Ustath and El Hibri complete the shortlist.

THE NAIL GUNNER offered something to work with on his first outing since leaving Denis Quinn after 6 months off when seventh at Wolverhampton 10 days ago so could be the answer with a potentially lenient mark to work with. Ustath should come on for his recent run and has dipped below his last winning mark, so is next best ahead of Come On Girl, who was only just edged out at Lingfield 2 weeks ago.

Not a lot went right for the veteran ASTROPHYSICS at Wolverhampton last time and he's given another chance to exploit a handy mark.

LTO Selection:

19:45 Kempton Handicap (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

RED FLYER was just under four lengths clear of the third when runner-up over 1m4f here in October and has been put up 3lb for that effort. The son of Free Eagle shouldn't have any issues with the return to this sort of trip and could go one better. The main danger might be Citizen General, who wasn't beaten far into fourth over C&D last month and should go well off the same mark. Southwell winner Sarsons Risk is another to keep an eye on.

After 7 months off, BASCULE needed the emphasis more on stamina when fourth at Wolverhampton in December, so he could be ready to return to winning ways with this step back up in trip to suit. Heading the list of dangers is Sarsons Risk, who stepped up on his recent form when scoring at Southwell last time, with Red Flyer completing the shortlist.

An encouraging first run back after an absence makes the claims of MOLIWOOD (nap) persuasive, with Bascule a strong second choice.

LTO Selection:

20:00 Southwell Stakes (Class 6) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

In a moderate event the vote goes to UTHER PENDRAGON, whose last couple of efforts in handicap company suggest that the veteran could go very well at this level. Similar comments apply to Silver Bubble and the six-year-old may prove to be the main threat to the selection. The rest all have plenty to prove right now but Foinix is the pick of them.

Stable-switcher NEY could be worth chancing in this grade given the pick of his hurdling form. Silver Bubble and Uther Pendragon are feared most.

Stan Moore's veteran UTHER PENDRAGON, a close second in a 1m3f handicap here two starts ago, has good claims at this level.

20:15 Kempton Handicap (Class 6) 11f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

LATEST EDITION took a fierce hold but still managed to finish fourth over this trip at Southwell, and she has been left on the same mark. The daughter of Ribchester goes in first-time cheekpieces, which could spark the improvement needed for her to break through. Trusty Scout didn't get the best of luck when third at Wolverhampton and could get closer with a clearer passage off the same rating. Distinction is another to note.

TRUSTY SCOUT has left behind a poor effort over hurdles returned to the Flat on his last 2 starts, winning at this course in November before meeting trouble when third at Wolverhampton last time. He can continue his good run of form to score again, with Latest Edition feared most having dropped to a workable mark. Fiddlers Green is also considered.

An open race in which the vote goes to OPTIK, who looks interesting back up in trip on his second run after an absence.
