WHO IS THAT regained the winning thread when dropping back to an extended 2m3f at Fontwell last month and, with the runner-up subsequently winning at Fakenham, a 4lb rise looks more than fair. Mole Court has been running with credit over hurdles of late and Ben Pauling's gelding looks the type who could relish the larger obstacles. He's feared most, with the returning No Worries another to consider given his lightly-raced profile in this sphere.
WHO IS THAT saw off a next-time-out winner at Fontwell last month so a 4 lb rise may not prevent Chris Gordon's charge going in again. Eros is better than he showed at Exeter last time and is second choice ahead of chase-newcomers Mole Court and Balinesker Beach.
Preference is for MAN OF THE NORTH, who was a good second over 2m5f at Newton Abbot two runs ago then failed to stay 3m3f at Stratford.
(16) Scampi 16/1, Three wins 1½m wins last term. Should be sharper for last month's reappearance run over 1¼m at Epsom but Oisin Murphy looks elsewhere. Largely consistent; respectable reappearance but may well require career best to win this.

A wide-open contest but the lightly-raced REAL DREAM gets the vote. Sir Michael Stoute's gelding won with authority on his return to action at Kempton earlier in the month and a 5lb rise may not prevent him from completing a hat-trick. Sam Cooke displayed a willing attitude last season and may not be far away if resuming in the same heart, while cases can also be made for the unexposed La Yakel and Crystal Delight.
William Haggas has won the last 2 runnings of this with low-mileage Sheikh Ahmed Al Maktoum 4-y-os and LA YAKEL looks good to extend that sequence to 3. The outside stall could prove tricky for Real Dream but he has a very similar profile to the selection and is second choice ahead of Crystal Delight and White Wolf.
Improvement could come from lightly raced Real Dream and La Yakel, while THUNDERING and Forza Orta have strong C&D form.
(4) Inferno Sacree 3.5/1, Free-going front runner who made it 4 wins in his last 5 starts when seeing off 5 rivals at Perth last month. Should still be very competitive after a further 9 lb rise, although this trip is possibly a bit further than ideal. Front-running tactics have seen him win four of last five; up another 9lb; hard to catch.

The Pink'n gave a good account when fourth in deeper waters at Wincanton last month and demands the utmost respect now eased in grade. He remains winless since March 2020, though, and preference goes to INFERNO SACREE. The five-year-old readily dismissed his rivals at Perth last time out and he gets the nod to continue his ascendancy. Monjules finished second at Fontwell on his latest outing and is another to consider.
The suggestion is SWINGING LONDON in the hope that first-time cheekpieces see him pull out a little more. Monjules and Polyphonic, who are closely matched on Fontwell form at the start of the spring, and thriving front runner Inferno Sacree are others likely to have a say.
Two progressive types in this field and MONJULES is taken to beat Inferno Sacree.

ONEUPMANSHIP shaped better than the beaten distance in first-time blinkers at Uttoxeter last month and Anthony Honeyball's charge could gain a first success over fences off a 1lb lower mark. No No Maestro has posted some of his better performances at this course over the smaller obstacles and he isn't taken lightly now tackling fences again on this return to action. Premier D'troice also enters the equation if putting in a cleaner round of jumping.
Backing a horse as fragile as ONEUPMANSHIP comes with risks attached but he shaped as though back in form fitted with blinkers at Uttoxeter last month so he's chanced to build on that. Wick Green was disappointing at Wincanton but is fancied to bounce back given his profile, with No No Maestro another to consider having been freshened up by a break.
A bad mistake in the back straight appeared to be costly for PREMIER D'TROICE at Ffos Las and he was in good form previously.

LUCKY MAN is having his first start of the season since finishing down the field behind Summerghand at Lingfield in November, and he can be forgiven that effort as it was at the end of a long season. He has shown a clear liking for this C&D having never finished outside the first two home in three starts. The unexposed Khanjar merits the utmost respect and is sure to be fit and ready to roll on his seasonal reappearance, along with last year's first and second Dakota Gold and Makanah.
An ultra competitive sprint but it is well worth siding with Kevin Ryan's former Gimcrack runner-up GIS A SUB to build on his promising Newmarket return and take full advantage of a handy-looking mark. C&D winner Lucky Man appeals as the sort to go on again this season and is feared most, although a case can be made for several others, including Ripon-scorer Hyperfocus, last year's winner Dakota Gold and the returning Khanjar.
Numerous possibles in a hot sprint but SPIRIT OF LIGHT should have a big run in him back on a sound surface.

Fierce Warrior was somewhat underwhelming when failing to justify favouritism on his bumper bow at Huntingdon last month and he will likely need to improve on that fifth-placed finish to capitalise here. With that in mind, a chance is taken on newcomer ONEWAYWEST, who is a half-brother to useful hurdle/chase winner Birchdale. Ben Pauling's gelding possesses enough speed in his pedigree to land a bumper and any market support would increase interest. Charia and Ted's Gift also require consideration.
Little form to go on and the market should prove highly informative. TED'S GIFT represents last year's winning yard so this Scorpion newcomer is fancied to make a winning start at the chief expense of fellow debuant Onewaywest. Nicky Henderson's Fierce Warrior hinted at promise when fifth at Huntingdon and can also have a say.
This looks tricky but the vote goes TED'S GIFT, who represents an in-form yard that won this with a well-backed newcomer last year.

The six-year-old is yet to win after a lengthy absence, however, and it may pay to side with the race-fit CREATIVE FORCE. Despite failing to justify favouritism on his seasonal reappearance at Newmarket, the son of Dubawi made amends in emphatic style when comprehensively getting the better of his rivals at Haydock. He gets the nod despite a quick turnaround, while Emaraaty Ana may mount a bold bid too.
HIGHFIELD PRINCESS had race fitness on her side when landing this a year ago, and while she's no banker to be fully tuned this time, this triple Group 1 winner may still outclass these. Australian-raider The Astrologist brings totally different formlines to the table and he's a fascinating contender, with Creative Force completing the shortlist turned out quickly following a success at Haydock on Saturday.
The progressive and still-unexposed MARSHMAN (nap) is taken to defeat his elders. The Astrologist is second choice.

Wind Tor was by no means disgraced when fourth at Chepstow on her latest outing and she can claim minor money.

However, DESTROYTHEEVIDENCE, who ran green on his debut over timber at Kempton 16 days ago, could be worth chancing now that he has the benefit of experience to draw upon. Having cost 100,000 euros as a yearling, there is a lot to like about his pedigree, with his dam a half-sister to Gold Cup winner Long Run.
HUELGOAT developed into a fairly useful performer over fences last year, winning 4 times and, entitled to be sharper for his first start for 4 months at Perth in April, it would come as no surprise to see him play a leading role back over hurdles. Almazhar Garde is also better known for his exploits over fences but rates the chief threat.
This can go to HUELGOAT, who has conditions to suit. He does have stamina to prove over this far but they are not certain to test that.

Second to the smart Arrest on her debut, Sea Of Roses put her experience to good use when beating INFINITE COSMOS (second) at Doncaster next time out. That said, the latter made no mistake when recording a facile success at Newmarket on her return to action 12 days ago and Sir Michael Stoute's filly, who holds some lofty entries, can rubber-stamp her Classic credentials with victory here. Others to note include Novakai, Midnight Mile and Gather Ye Rosebuds, who won impressively at Newbury on her debut.
NOVAKAI signed off last season with an excellent effort at the top level and, while there are numerous rivals open to improvement, she looks a solid option up in trip on her reappearance. Infinite Cosmos made a good impression when opening her account at Newmarket recently and looks the type to go on progressing, so she's a big danger, while Gather Ye Rosebuds is an interesting one on the back of an impressive debut success.
The betting is dominated by Infinite Cosmos. Preference is for NOVAKAI who was second in the Group 1 Fillies' Mile.

INVESTMENT MANAGER got off the mark over fences in impressive fashion when strolling to victory at Exeter last month and although raised 8lb for that victory, the seven-year-old is hard to oppose on a track he recorded his only success at over hurdles. The biggest threat may come from Across The Line, who shaped well when second at Warwick just over a fortnight ago and is respected off the same mark. The consistent mare Our Bill's Aunt is another who can't be discounted.
BEGIN THE LUCK hasn't looked back since sent over fences and a 7 lb rise for his emphatic Exeter success doesn't look sufficient to prevent him from completing a quick hat-trick. Exeter-scorer Investment Manager is rated next best ahead of C&D winner Imperial Joe and chasing-newcomer Our Bill's Aunt.
A competitive contest can go to the progressive IMPERIAL JOE.

TROLLEY BOY, who won a novices' hurdle with plenty in hand at Ludlow three weeks ago, looks the most appealing of this bunch and seems progressive enough to shrug aside the burden of top weight back in handicap company. Lucky Lover Boy has won seven of his 24 previous starts over hurdles and is feared most on his first start back since November, while Dasher Riley has previous course experience and is another taken seriously on debut for a new yard.
TROLLEY BOY won well back from 4 months off at Ludlow and could have plenty more to offer so he's fancied to go in again having scored here last summer. Bucko's Boy and Glimpse of Gold are a couple of the dangers.
Plenty of these have chances but the most obvious contender is TROLLEY BOY.

Onight has won two out of three starts to date, the latest of those victories coming at Kempton and he has to be respected on his handicap bow, but he could play second fiddle to CATCH THE PADDY. The son of No Nay Never wasn't disgraced in the Gimcrack in August last year and could find even more improvement on his first try at this trip. Zu Run and Chuzzlewit are others to note.
Cases can be made for many of these, but the vote goes to ZU RUN, who improved on each of his 3 outings as a 2-y-o and Andrew Balding's colt can make a winning start to life in handicaps with Oisin Murphy taking over in the saddle. Chuzzlewit took his form up a notch on return at Newcastle last month, so he's put forward as the main danger with further improvement on the cards, ahead of Coco Jack and Ed Walker's filly Rose Prick.
The Roger Teal-trained CARAGIO has potential off his opening mark and earns the vote ahead of course winner Catch The Paddy.

He is 4lb higher after his latest success, but with David Pritchard retaining the partnership, his 5lb claim looks very valuable indeed. If repeating his penultimate start when runner-up at Plumpton, Clongowes must enter calculations, along with Chantilly Haze, who was a respectable second at Exeter last month.
DANTON is still low mileage and will appreciate this stiffer test of stamina on handicap debut. He can open his account. Phoenix Risen arrives at the top of his game and is much respected, whilst Chantilly Haze also enters calculations.
Much improved in cheekpieces, PHOENIX RISEN (nap) can complete the hat-trick.

Trick Of The Tail was badly hampered when he fell at the first on his hurdles debut in October and is hardly overfaced for his return to action. He shades the vote for the forecast slot over Splashing Wave, who is open to improvement now obstacles are in the way.
This won't take much winning and EXTRAORDINARY MAN is worth another chance back hurdling fitted with headgear. Moonshine Spirit and Trick of The Tail are feared.
The vote goes to MOONSHINE SPIRIT (nap), who has shaped with promise in both his hurdle runs including in a better race at Kempton.

The Caribbean warrants plenty of respect for Aidan O'Brien, being a half-brother to a Phoenix Stakes winner, while others to note in what is likely to be an informative contest include Brave Empire and Kylian.
The betting will be interesting in this valuable 2-y-o contest but MASHADI's experience could prove key and he's taken to come out on top after his promising first run at Newmarket. Brave Empire, The Caribbean and Barnaby head up the newcomers.

Minimalistic has been in fine form in the pointing field recently and can go well granted a clean round of jumping.
YOUNG BUCK produced comfortably his best effort to date over fences when third in handicap company at Chepstow last time and, if he can build on that he should be able to get the better of Crypto. Moratorium wasn't disgraced at Cheltenham, so he's another one to consider.

Harry Cobden boasts an impressive strike-rate at this venue and his ride, Emanate, may be able to build on her first effort over hurdles when fourth at Taunton last time out. Prince Of Newton is another to consider.
Most of these come with question marks against them so this looks a good opportunity for HARRY GULLIVER to build on his Chepstow debut fifth and open his account. Taunton-fourth Emanate could also take a step forward and rates the chief threat ahead of hurdling-debutante Theatrical Light, who returns after breathing surgery.
This looks tricky but HARRY GULLIVER made an encouraging start over hurdles at Chepstow last month and he gets the vote.

DIAMOND COTTAGE has proved at least as good as ever on her last 2 starts, winning at Brighton before running well at Wolverhampton a week later, so she is taken to score again with a hood now reapplied. She can get the better of Symbol of Hope, who bids to follow up his course success from 16 days ago, with Shesadabber completing the shortlist.

Many hold solid chances, not least Kihavah, who won this race off 2lb lower last year and is respected with conditions to suit. Heathen runs for an in-form yard and is also high on the shortlist, despite a below-par effort on testing ground at Thirsk last time, while Vega Sicilia appeals based on consistency shown since being upped in distance. Nevertheless, it might be worth chancing STRAWMAN on these terms, given he is back on a winning mark and has more to offer over this trip.
Having joined George Boughey for 60,000 gns (also gelded), PARIS LIGHTS opened his account in an AW novice in December and took another marked step forward when runner-up on handicap debut at Lingfield (10f) in February. Completely unexposed at this sort of trip, he appeals as being on a handy mark and could be the way to go back from a break. Vega Sicilia, following his good Salisbury second, low-mileage Saturn Five and easy Ripon scorer Vallamorey head up the dangers.
Paris Lights brings potential to this first attempt at 1m4f. Preference is for VALLAMOREY who was impressive in her first handicap.

BOLD AS LOVE was good enough to finish second on debut in a Leopardstown maiden at the end of last season and that gives her prospects. The winner of that race is highly thought of, so it was a decent effort. The horse behind her in third came out and won a Gowran Park maiden by almost four lengths last month. Bold As Love was a beaten favourite in fifth on seasonal reappearance at Leopardstown in April, but is worth another chance as that was on heavy ground. Kings Time is likely to improve upon a third place on debut at Roscommon last summer. Las Cuatro has been a beaten favourite in two starts on the Polytrack in Dundalk. The suspicion is that there could be more to come from her on this switch to turf. Emorcee and Tango Flare are others with chances.
BOLD AS LOVE holds the edge on form and should strip fitter for her reappearance Leopardstown fifth so gets the vote. Navalny also has the form to play a part and is next on the list, with Kings Time and Tango Flare not discounted either on their seasonal returns.

OUR NEL found a bumper at Ascot in February a bit too much at this early stage of her career, but she holds leading claims judged on her fourth-placed finish at Warwick in November and gets a tentative vote. Edmond arrives in fair form having finished in the frame at Chepstow in March and is another to consider, while Manala makes most appeal of the newcomers, with any market support worth noting.
DUNALONG is a half-sister to Dashel Drasher and, although she'll be suited by longer trips in time, it might be worth chancing that she has enough ability to make a successful start. Manala is another notable newcomer and Our Nel is the pick of those with experience.
The shortlist comprises the interesting newcomers MANALA, Dunalong and Aprille Mai in that order of preference.

INDEPENDENCE has been edging closer to a first victory over obstacles and the seven-year-old was narrowly denied when runner-up on stable debut at Plumpton last month. The Dr Richard Newland-trained gelding has only been raised 1lb for that effort and gets the nod to go one better in this contest. Masterdream hasn't been seen over hurdles since landing the spoils at this venue in June and he rates the most immediate danger. Ranco was a consistent customer last year and completes the shortlist.
Having dropped a long way in the weights following a quiet start for his new yard, HILLSIN showed a lot more when third in a big-field handicap at Exeter a month ago and is now of major interest. Independence made a good start for Dr Newland and is feared most, with Ranco another to consider back from a break.
Bumper winner INDEPENDENCE is taken to build on his latest effort and open his hurdles account. Masterdream is feared most.

There was plenty to like about HAATEM's third-placed finish on his debut at Goodwood recently and he looks a big player based on that evidence. Adaay To Win could prove the chief danger of the remaining rivals who have raced. That said, a bigger threat could emerge from one of the newcomers in Big Brown Bear and Anglesey Lad, who both require a check in the market.
This looks to revolve around HAATEM, who started to get the hang of things late on at Goodwood 12 days ago and with improvement very much on the cards, Richard Hannon's colt should take some stopping. Eve Johnson Houghton had a winning newcomer here last month and her Big Brown Bear may emerge as the main danger, ahead of Anglesey Lad and Shaws Phoenix.
Some interesting newcomers but HAATEM will have gone into plenty of notebooks at Goodwood and he can go two better.

By and large a guessing game for punters with so many newcomers, so the market should be informative. Kieran Cotter's MORAL TURPITUDE is put forward each-way. She is a half-sister to a pair of five-time winners who have shown plenty of dash over sprint trips. Paddy Twomey's Jenni was a beaten favourite in fifth on debut at the Curragh, but that was on heavy ground. She could be a different proposition on this much better ground. Neo Smart disappointed on her last start in the Curragh but dead-heated for second on debut at the same venue. A reproduction of that run would see her well involved. Bonbon, Glamorously and Ashwiyaa represent stables well able to win with a juvenile on debut.
JENNI was backed as if much better was expected on debut at the Curragh and she could leave that effort behind second time up. Tiger Belle is an interesting newcomer, while Uncle Albert and Neo Smart could be capable of better.
JENNI was seemingly caught out by a low draw that day but she could be a different proposition here with that run under her belt

BANJAXED was highly tried following his maiden hurdle second at Navan in January, as he finished fifth in a Grade 2 at Kelso before pulling up at Fairyhouse last month. This is a much easier assignment and the six-year-old is capable of getting off the mark. Kansas City Star is likely to chase home the selection having filled the runner-up spot at Tipperary on his latest start, while Bayonetta appears best of the remainder.
This looks to rest between the Irish challengers KANSAS CITY STAR and Banjaxed with preference for Gordon Elliott's Tipperary runner-up over Lorna Fowler's 6-y-o who just holds the edge on form but was pulled up at Fairyhouse last time. Bayonetta appeals as the pick of the remainder for minor honours.

The returning Cluedo makes her handicap debut off what looks a fair mark and the daughter of Kodiac may have more to offer this season. Smasher recorded his first placed effort at Chelmsford in April and makes most appeal of the remainder.
WEDGEWOOD was comfortably on top at Wolverhampton last week and is taken to make it 4 in a row back on turf. Brighton may not have suited Pearly Gaits last time and she might provide the chief threat if recapturing the form she showed when narrowly denied at Windsor prior to that.
Wedgewood is flourishing on AW but CLUEDO looks to have been let into handicaps on a lenient mark herself.

She was beaten less than five lengths into sixth here after winning her maiden at Tipperary last month. That form got a boost when the runner-up obliged at Navan on Saturday. Jessica Maye takes 10lb off Amazon Lady's back. Fozzy Stack is having a strong season and Two Stars is another contender for him. His two runs have been at this track including when he shed his maiden tag over 6f. Vanguard Star reverts back to turf after a spell in Dundalk that yielded a win. El Tesoro and Not Too Real Bad are in the mix for prize money.
TWO STARS opened his account here a fortnight ago and could have more to offer now handicapping back in trip. He gets the vote over Not Too Real Bad, Vanguard Star and Amazon Lady.
A few in with claims but AMAZON LADY has looked like a filly going places this year and she could be the one to beat down in class

He is capable of being in the mix, while Thistlebuffs and Glentruan appeal most of the remainder.
SOMEWHAT CLOUDY has taken well to fences this spring and is the most solid option. The chief threat may come from Glentruan who was never involved on his chase debut in autumn 2021 but has plenty of good efforts over hurdles since and could prove a different proposition over fences at the second time of asking.
Donald McCain's SOMEWHAT CLOUDY has taken well to chasing and looks the way to go on the back of her solid Wetherby third last time.

Dovena benefitted from a drop in class when winning at Brighton 15 days ago, but she's 6lb higher in a deeper race today and, though respected, a chance is taken on GALILAEUS. The gelded son of Galileo was only fourth when sent off a warm favourite on his handicap debut earlier this month. However, with first-time blinkers applied it would be no surprise were he to take a step forward. Damascus Steel is another to consider.
DOVENA showed much improved form when comfortably off the mark at Brighton 2 weeks ago and a repeat should see her play a lead role again from this 6 lb higher mark. Ed Dunlop's Damascus Steel comes here on the back of good runner-up efforts and is feared, with Galilaeus also not dismissed out of hand equipped with first-time blinkers.
Gasman is one to keep on side but DAMASCUS STEEL, who is two good efforts from two off this mark in handicaps, is the tip.

SONDHEIM made the breakthrough over course and distance last summer and regular rider Neve Bennett was again on board when the six-year-old scored at Dundalk in November. After finishing a creditable fifth over a mile here last month, the Born To Sea gelding can give another good account of himself back at his optimum distance. Breezy Zoff was an eye-catcher on her return at the Curragh a couple of weeks ago having won a big-field contest at that venue in the autumn. Her best form has come on soft ground but she was placed on a sound surface at Listowel last year. Run Forrest Run came with a perfectly-timed challenge to win the race in which Breezy Zoff was ninth at the Curragh. That was over 6f but he had winning form over this trip when trained in Britain and is another to consider from a 5lb higher mark.
Claims can be made for plenty but RUN FORREST RUN did well under the circumstances when ending a losing run stretching back almost 2 years at the Curragh 16 days ago, finding plenty to lead near the line. He gets the nod to continue the good work, with Dutch Glory, Capuchinero, Akmaam and Nyla Rua just a handful of others to consider.
A mark of 72 could be on the lenient side for CAPUCHINERO who posted a career in a claimer that's worked out well last time out

Hard to make a strong case for any of these but COOL CROI should have more to offer in handicaps for her leading yard so she is awarded the vote. Nick Alexander saddles a couple of live chances in Arnica and Ultra Violet.
Gordon Elliott's low-mileage mare COOL CROI (nap) looks the way to go with the promise of better now her stamina is drawn out further.

However, the vote goes to BLUE HERO. A three-time course winner, he was second in the corresponding event last year off 6lb higher, so Adrian Wintle's charge looks handicapped to go one better today.
BERYL BURTON has started the season in good form with a pair of runner-up finishes, conceding first run at Pontefract a fortnight ago, so she can build on those efforts and return to winning ways. Millions Memories gave his running on his reappearance and could be the biggest threat, ahead of Further Measure.
Magical Dragon and Blue Hero have claims but BERYL BURTON is the most solid. An unlucky second two weeks ago was a PB.

GOLDEN SPANGLE has gone up 7lb in total for three placed efforts since entering handicap company last month. She missed the kick when third over this trip at Gowran two runs back and bumped into a well-treated rival over a mile here last time. A tongue-tie might help to eke out a bit more improvement. Starnight ran a nice race on handicap debut at the Curragh before being sent across to Nottingham where she won readily over 6f. The step up in trip is unlikely to be an issue and Johnny Murtagh's filly is a leading contender despite a 9lb hike although she will be encountering quicker ground here. Asgard's Captain, beaten at Sligo on Tuesday, had a few of these behind when an encouraging third over 6f at Dundalk while Angel's Feather, fitted with headgear for her first handicap, ran in a couple of strong maidens last term and could be on a reasonable mark.
STARNIGHT was comfortably on top at Nottingham a couple of weeks ago and is taken to follow up. Jim Bolger's Golden Spangle arrives on the back of 3 solid placed efforts this spring and should give another good account. The Snapper should also be on the premises if bouncing back to the form he showed when successful over C&D at the beginning of April.
RUMBLED AGAIN ran with credit at Dundalk last time in a race that didn't go all his own way and he shaped like 7f would suit

Therefore, the daughter of Getaway is fancied to show up well on her handicap bow for the Gordon Elliott yard. Nowinittowinit got up by a short head at this track to record her first career success and could improve for the step up to this distance, while Fly By Milan isn't ruled out either.
FLY BY MILAN is taken to make a successful handicap debut. Jumping Jet is feared for an Irish yard that has made hay here over the years.
The vote goes to Gordon Elliott's JUMPING JET who arrives on the up and can take another step forward on her first go in handicaps.

In an open event, it might be worth taking a chance on SILVER BUBBLE. Gay Kelleway's charge was progressive last year, winning four times, with the latest of her victories coming from a 2lb lower mark. She's been well held on her last two starts, but with Saffie Osborne back aboard (won on her three times), it would be no surprise to see an improved effort. Others to note include Lhebayeb and Mc'ted.
MC'TED is a consistent sort and has struck up a decent rapport with 7-lb claimer Alice Bond, so a replication of his recent placed efforts may well be enough to see him come out on top. Albus Anne isn't straightforward but is going through a good spell at present and she's feared most, with Mrembo also taken to step up on an encouraging return.
Back at Bath, MREMBO can double her tally. Mc'Ted, who holds solid claims, is second choice.

For a 50/1 chance, CUBAN DAWN acquitted himself quite well when fourth of six in the Tetrarch Stakes at the Curragh earlier this month. The Teofilo colt split horses rated 92 and 100 and should have a decent chance back in maiden company after that promising debut effort. A tongue-tie is fitted for the first time. On a line through Tetrarch runner-up Drumroll, Time Tells All has strong claims having gone down by just half a length to that horse in a Navan maiden in March. He may be suited by coming back to a mile after finishing third over 1m2f here last month and gets the chance to race on better ground for the first time. Dutch Gold was second in a strong Navan maiden on his final juvenile start and was unlucky in running on his return at Limerick. He didn't appear to have any excuses when a beaten favourite at Gowran last time but stepping back up to a mile should help his cause.
CUBAN DAWN is clearly held in some regard having been pitched into listed company for his debut 16 days ago and he made a pleasing start, ultimately finishing fourth. A tongue tie is quickly applied but that slight worry aside, he's taken to make the most of a drop in class. Dermot Weld saddles 2 with Time Tells All having already displayed plenty of ability, and newcomer Harbour Wind.
On the strength of a Navan second over this trip, it is worth giving TIME TELLS ALL this chance to make amends for a 1m2f Gowran defeat

Born Famous made the perfect start for new connections over hurdles here recently and is very interesting back chasing. Thatsy would be one to note if the betting suggests he's fancied.
The suggestion is THUNDER IN MILAN, who is in good form and for whom this trip and forecast slower ground than last time look positive.

The main threat looks to be the last-time-out winner Hourless, who is only 2lb higher for that success at Wolverhampton and warrants plenty of respect. Greek Giant and Spare Rib are also both worthy of consideration.
HOURLESS appeals as the type to improve further and is very hard to oppose having been raised only 2 lb for a cosy success at Wolverhampton. Greek Giant hasn't really been seen to best effect in handicaps but has shown enough to think he could prove the main threat, whilst Pink Lily also merits respect after a good performance at Salisbury last time.
Having won a shade cosily on his handicap debut, this looks good for HOURLESS (nap) to defy a small rise in the weights.

The dual all-weather winner has shown his best form on the grass on easy ground but should be equally effective on a sounder surface and Siobhan Rutledge has an inside draw to work with. Fond Farewell is lightly raced and made a winning reappearance over a furlong farther at Limerick. That was on soft ground and conditions will be quicker here. Magic Charm is from a stable in fine form and has run two solid races so far this season. He was a winner on good ground last term and steps back up in trip. Shona Mea, drawn widest of all, came home well over 1m when second to a subsequent winner at Gowran and is another to consider.
SHONA MEA has run well on both starts this year and was strong at the finish when second at Gowran last time, so she's marginally preferred to Khafaaq, who filled the same position at that track just a week ago. Rockview Roman is also worthy of consideration.
A winner on good ground early last season, MAGIC CHARM does not need to improve much from his first two starts of the season to win

Petite Rhapsody bolted up over C&D off 10lb lower last year and has since shaped with enough promise to suggest he's capable of winning off his current mark, so must be respected. Agilulf remains unexposed in this sphere and can't be ruled out, though he will need to put a recent unseat behind him. Don Brocco is another worthy of consideration, but preference is for SANOSUKE. Having dropped in the handicap, he finished second here last month and a similar performance may well suffice.
SANOSUKE remains a maiden over hurdles but he won't get many better opportunities than this on the back of an excellent second over C&D 3 weeks ago. Petite Rhapsody eases in class and is feared most.
A tough race to call and the suggestion is PETITE RHAPSODY, who should appreciate this drop in grade and goes well at this track.
