13:45 Naas Stakes 5f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

RIVER TIBER was a most impressive ten length winner on debut at Navan and, even though the runner-up did nothing for the form next time, is difficult to oppose. The slight drop in trip is not a concern and he can take this en route to Royal Ascot. Stablemate Democracy won nicely himself at the Curragh and the runner-up has been placed a couple of times since. Tourist looked a winner for a long way until outpointed close home by another Ballydoyle-trained juvenile at this venue while I Am Invictus made 160,000 guineas at the Craven Breeze-Up Sales and makes most appeal of the newcomers.

RIVER TIBER looked out of the top drawer when making a winning debut in the most taking fashion at Navan so is taken to follow up and cement his place at the head of the market for the Coventry at Royal Ascot. His stablemate Democracy can follow him home ahead of Tourist.

Wide-margin Navan winner RIVER TIBER is the selected of the Ballydoyle pair and can be fancied to make it two from two

Astroman

8/1(+43%)
(1) Astroman 8/1, Long-standing maiden over hurdles who seemed to find his stamina stretched when midfield in 17-runner Uttoxeter handicap (23.3f) on yard debut 15 days ago. This slightly lesser test should suit but he's vulnerable back in maiden company.
Ran okay in low-grade handicap on recent stable debut but is 0-17 over hurdles now.

Shandancer

1.5/1(+8%)
(3) Shandancer 1.5/1, Fair bumper performer in Ireland and he's reached a similar level over hurdles, producing best effort yet (on back of a wind op) when second at Fontwell (21.7f) 11 days ago. A repeat should see him thereabouts in this field.

(2) Joe Cotton 14/1, Dual point winner who is stoutly-bred and duly shaped in kind when finishing distant fifth in 8-runner Kempton maiden (21f) 3 weeks ago. This again likely to prove too sharp for him and he's one for later on.
Dual point winner this year but tailed off when switched to hurdling this month.

(4) The Punt 28/1, Runner-up sole start in bumpers last summer but didn't shape with much short-term encouragement when sixth in 7-runner Uttoxeter maiden hurdle (15.7f) on return to action 15 days ago. This should reveal more at least.

Ran quite well in low-grade AW handicap on recent stable debut; now makes hurdling debut.
LTO Selection:

14:05 Stratford Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 22f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

GLOBAL FAMENGLORY has posted a brace of creditable efforts in defeat since being switched to maiden company in April and looks to have been found a suitable opportunity to gain a breakthrough success. Shandancer arguably posted his best performance to date when runner-up at Fontwell recently and Amy Murphy's gelding is feared most. Astroman has plenty to find with the main protagonists on the ratings, but he still makes most appeal of the remainder.

GLOBAL FAMENGLORY has run with credit in hitting the frame all 3 starts since the turn of the year and, with the drop back in trip holding no fears, she gets the nod to open her account. Shandancer rates the chief threat on the back of his latest Fontwell second 11 days ago.

LTO Selection:

14:15 Naas Listed 5f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

LADIES CHURCH, fitted with cheekpieces for the first time, was a Group 2 winner at the Curragh last summer where she just pipped Mooneista on good ground. She comes into this race-fit having been out in Dubai where she just failed to add another Group 2 success to her tally on her penultimate start. Mooneista was bought for 850,000 guineas out of Jack Davison's yard in the autumn and has a nice pull at the weights with the selection compared to their clash at the Curragh. She's a Group 2 winner herself but that was some time ago so she escapes a penalty. Moss Tucker would prefer easier ground but has won two of his last three starts at Listed level while Tees Spirit was a big improver last term and these British sprinters always have to be feared when they come over to Ireland.

MOONEISTA ended last season out of form, but this looks a good opportunity for her to bounce back starting out for Joseph Patrick O'Brien. Smart performers Moss Tucker and Ladies Church are others to consider.

Sold for 850,000gns last December, MOONEISTA can begin to recoup connections' outlay here on her first start for Joseph O'Brien

LTO Selection:

14:25 Ripon Handicap (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Previous C&D winner FORESEEABLE FUTURE heads the shortlist after making all to land a 0-75 handicap at Ayr 17 days ago, and must have a strong chance of following up off just 4lb higher with leading apprentice Benoit De La Sayette booked for the ride. Ben Macdui is dangerously well handicapped and is noted, while Canaria Prince and Van Gerwen are also considered.

FORESEEABLE FUTURE is a pretty reliable proposition at this level, arriving on the back of victory at Ayr 17 days ago. A 4 lb higher mark looks within range so he can add to his tally at the chief expense of Ben Macdui and Canaria Prince.

Ben Macdui has hinted at a revival for his new yard but CANARIA PRINCE made a promising return and gets the verdict.

14:35 Stratford Handicap Chase (Class 5) 19f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

THE EMINENT GOOSE comes with risks attached given she appeared unsettled at the start of her latest runner-up effort at Ffos Las in March, but she makes her handicap/chase debut off what looks a fair mark and could prove worth chancing. Heneryetta Bay made an encouraging start in this sphere when second at Fontwell last Wednesday and she isn't taken lightly. Poet's Reflection may appreciate this step up in trip and is another to note.

POET'S REFLECTION has aquitted herself well in both starts over the larger obstacles and will appreciate the step back up in trip here. She can land the spoils. Princess Midnight and Heneryetta Bay look the likeliest dangers.

The most appealing option is chasing debutante THE EMINENT GOOSE, who displayed clear promise on her two hurdling starts in March.

14:45 Naas Group 3 6f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

WEST OF WICHITA will be a bit of a price but makes some appeal after a promising debut at Cork. Kevin Coleman's filly wasn't unsupported but lost her chance with a slow break before coming home well to finish fourth. It wouldn't be the greatest surprise to see her turn around form with the first two home that day, Bated Moon and Launch, over this extra furlong. Ziggy's Dream has shown plenty of ability on soft ground and represents a yard which has won a couple of stakes races when sending horses over to Ireland while course and distance winner Ribchestina has switched yards but may not have beaten a lot in that debut victory. Making Time ran well against colts here on her first start while both Jakku and Navassa Island cost plenty and are notable newcomers.

There should be one or two useful fillies coming out of this, with bargain-buy RIBCHESTINA the most promising of all on the back of her stylish win over C&D a month ago. She's since transferred to the powerful Paddy Twomey team and there should be lots more to come. Bated Moon saw off Launch at Cork but a 4 lb weight pull may see the latter reverse the form, while British raider Ziggy's Dream adds extra interest.

14:55 Ripon Stakes (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

VALADERO, who was second in both the Brocklesby and a Thirsk maiden, has proven ability and can put his experience to good use in an attempt to make it third-time lucky. There are a few interesting newcomers in opposition, though, with Strong Request, a half-brother to decent sprinter Crispy Cat, the most appealing on paper. Asadna and Sergeant Mayer are also worth a second look.

VALADERO sets a high standard for his rivals who are all newcomers and can put his experience to good use. Asadna and Strong Request are both likely types, but they will probably need to be well above-average to beat Valadero.

The step up from 5f looks a good move where the dual second VALADERO is concerned and he is taken to break his duck this time.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

CALL ME ROCKY was last seen finishing a respectable fifth of 18 in a competitive handicap hurdle at Thurles in February and he's fancied to make a winning start for Cian Collins, who makes the long trip over from Ireland to send this sole runner. Book of Secrets is also of interest for a top stable and will go well if running up to his rating of 107, while Ambush Annie completes the shortlist.

BOOK OF SECRETS pulled too hard to be involved in the finish on his return from over a year off at Southwell last time but went through the race as if retaining all his ability and he's fancied to score for the first time over hurdles. Irish-raider Call Me Rocky is another player if putting his best foot forward.

LTO Selection:

15:15 Naas Listed 7f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Last year's Irish 2000 Guineas second NEW ENERGY should be a lot sharper now having had the benefit of a recent outing at Leopardstown. The Sheila Lavery-trained colt was slightly disappointing in managing only fourth in a Group 3 at the Foxrock venue but he wouldn't have been suited by the heavy ground. Back on a quicker surface now, it would be a surprise if he didn't play a major role in the outcome of this race. The improvement of Lord Massusus as a three-year-old has been one of the stories of the flat season to date. The Joseph Murphy-trained gelding was value for more than the winning margin over 6f here last time and he is already proven at this trip. Yerwanthere has a bit to find on official ratings but is a thoroughly unexposed, unbeaten filly who has further scope for progression.

LORD MASSUSUS produced a performance verging on smart when a cosy winning of a handicap a fortnight ago despite a less-than-ideal run and he can take the step up to listed company in his stride. New Energy is a big threat, along with unbeaten filly Yerwanthere and Villlanova Queen on drying ground.

It could pay to forgive the Classic-placed NEW ENERGY for his failure to shine in testing conditions on his seasonal debut

15:25 Ripon Maiden (Class 5) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Ripon has been a happy hunting ground for William Haggas and the Newmarket handler can enjoy more success at the Garden Racecourse courtesy of the progressive MARKET VALUE, who made a pleasing reappearance when third in a decent novice stakes at Haydock last month. Stepping up in trip looks a good move for this half-sister to Evaluation, a useful staying handicapper, and a big run can be expected. Jo's Rainbow and Bosc Girl are the dangers.

MARKET VALUE makes plenty of appeal on paper and stepped up plenty on her sole start as a 2-y-o when third on return in a Haydock novice (1m) 3 weeks ago. Entitled to come on for that, she remains open to improvement and gets the nod to come out on top. There is a good deal of potential in opposition though, with Beautifulasalways and Bosc Girl heading up the dangers.

This step up in trip should suit MARKET VALUE, who looks to have slightly better form than the rest and is taken to score.

15:35 Stratford Handicap Chase (Class 5) 17f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

COPPER FOX must hold every chance if building upon a strong runner-up effort at Newcastle last December behind a winner that has gone in multiple times since. Good ground is another plus and he can see off the likes of Fancy Stuff and First Angel, who may be a maiden through 11 starts but is very interesting on his first run for new connections.

COPPER FOX arrives with a decent profile over hurdles and has been found a weak race starting out in this sphere. First Angel should come on for his return and is next best starting out for a new yard, with another chasing newcomer Fancy Stuff best of the others.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

OCEAN QUEST may be able to confirm Navan form with The Antarctic, despite meeting that rival on 5lbs worse terms. The Jessica Harrington-trained filly caused a real upset at the County Meath venue when proving too strong for the dual Group 1-placed Ballydoyle colt but there appeared to be no fluke about her victory. Much will depend on the draw here, as Ocean Quest is berthed in stall 13, while her main threat has been handed a low number. The Antarctic seems certain to come on from his seasonal debut and should strip fitter for this contest. He looks a potentially top-class sprinter in the making so deserves plenty of respect. Mauiewowie made a hugely impressive winning debut over 5f at this track last season before going on to acquit herself well in Listed company subsequently. The Ger Lyons-trained filly has stamina to prove but has to enter calculations.

Lots of runners but THE ANTARCTIC looks the way to go here given he possesses the best form and can also boast a course victory. Ocean Quest rates the chief threat on the back of her recent listed success at Navan, with the less exposed Ocean Jewel also worth considering if ready to roll on her seasonal return.

With a low draw and on different ground and terms THE ANTARCTIC is tipped to reverse Navan form with Ocean Quest

LTO Selection:

15:55 Ripon Handicap (Class 4) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

MR BUSTER found only the progressive Wonder Legend too strong at Wolverhampton last month and, given the winner subsequently bolted up off a rating of 81, Ralph Beckett's charge appears to have been let in lightly off an opening mark of 80. Radetsky Marsch is likely to have more to offer now entering handicaps and isn't taken lightly, with the in-form pair Laser Guided and Roaring Legend also worthy of consideration.

Cases can be made for a few of these, but MR BUSTER gets the nod to make a winning start in handicaps having bumped into a smart prospect on return at Wolverhampton just under 6 weeks ago. Similar comments apply for Laser Guided, so he could be the one to give the selection most to think about, with Radetsky Marsch and Roaring Legend rounding off the shortlist.

Top of the list is MR BUSTER, who has strong form and whose classy pedigree firmly indicates he will be suited by this step up in trip.

16:05 Stratford Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 26f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

An easy winner at Plumpton last week when stepped up in trip, HELLO SUNSHINE is turned out again quickly under a 7lb penalty and she is taken to follow up. The extra distance should not inconvenience her and she may have too much for C&D winner Shantou Sunset and Maid Of The Night, who has won two of her last three. Hellfire Princess and Nora The Xplorer cannot be ruled out either.

HELLO SUNSHINE was well suited by a longer trip when running out a facile winner at Plumpton last week and, provided this doesn't come too soon, George Baker's 7-y-o is likely to take some stopping in her follow-up bid under a penalty. Hellfire Princess should relish this extra distance so she could be the one to chase home the selection, ahead of recent winner Maid of The Night and Treefinch.

UNLESS has been a frustrating sort to follow but may finally get her turn. The impeccably bred daughter of Justify out of the Group 1 winner Clemmie has filled the runner-up spot on all three outings this year and had three of these rivals well behind when fitted with blinkers over C&D earlier this month. Sweetest Rose also has plenty of experience filling the runner-up spot on her latest three starts including when reappearing at Limerick last month and Ger Lyons now fits blinkers on the Dark Angel filly. Lan Cinnte went close at Navan last autumn and could be suited by this step up to a mile while Persian Jewel should progress from her debut last month. Hotaugustnight and Rival Queen are two newcomers to note.

UNLESS ran another solid race when beaten only by another good prospect in a C&D maiden 2 weeks ago and a repeat should see Aidan O'Brien's filly firmly in the mix once more. Lan Cinnte, on return to action, and Sweetest Rose head up the dangers, with Persian Jewel and newcomer Rival Queen a couple of others worth a look.

Although she's had plenty of chances, it may pay to stick with UNLESS, although the less exposed Persian Jewel could prove a threat

PINAFORE made an encouraging return when fourth on her handicap debut at Newmarket last month and she looks to have a race of this nature within her capabilities. Coco Jamboo arrives here on the back of two solid efforts in defeat over 7f at Wolverhampton in March and she can be expected to remain competitive down in trip. Song Of Success could have more to offer this season and completes the shortlist.

The progressive PINAFORE shaped very well when fourth on her handicap bow/return at Newmarket last month, ridden much more prominently than the trio that beat her, and she remains of strong interest. Song of Success was a close fourth on her nursery bow at Lingfield on her final start and is feared most starting out for James Fanshawe.

There is more to come from Song Of Success this year but PINAFORE (nap) can confirm the promise of her reappearance fourth.

LTO Selection:

16:35 Stratford Handicap Chase (Class 4) 23f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Herewegohoney has the ability to figure strongly and could well bounce back after a rare below-par effort when she was pulled up a Wetherby on her latest outing in December. She won a three-runner novices' handicap off this mark on her penultimate start and is open to further progress. However, SHELDON, a previous course winner, looks a shade more attractive and is taken to make the most of the drop in class today. Ratfacemcdougall is also considered.

SHELDON is proving a reliable sort and weighted to bag a third win in this sphere racing off a 1 lb lower mark than when a good recent third in a stronger contest at Kempton. The consistent Joly Maker is next on the list ahead of Herewegohoney, who could also have a big say if freshened up after a break.

This looks a good opportunity for SHELDON (nap), who drops in grade after a very respectable third in 0-135 company last month.

16:45 Naas Handicap 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

NATIONAL EMBLEM took a nice step up from his debut at the Curragh last summer when prominent throughout to take a seven-furlong maiden at Gowran Park beating Lord Massusus and Mister Mister. That pair are now rated 106 and 97 respectively so you would have to think that the selection starts handicap life here on a reasonable mark. Down Royal maiden winner Amazing Show takes a big drop in class after running in the Moyglare Stud Stakes last time, while Fort Vega finished well to land a Gowran maiden earlier this month. He should appreciate the extra furlong but would also be suited by a little ease in the ground. Broadhurst was unsuited by testing ground when reappearing at the Curragh but opened his account in no uncertain fashion at Dundalk last month. Mere Accountant is another to consider.

A strong-looking 3-y-o handicap with the vote in favour of Jessica Harrington's NATIONAL EMBLEM. He was a cosy winner on his second start in maidens last summer, and that form has been boosted subsequently, so he looks sure to progress further now his sights are set on handicaps. Broadhurst, on the back of his Dundalk success 6 weeks ago, Mere Accountant and Kalikapour head up the dangers.

Competitive and preference is for NATIONAL EMBLEM, whose maiden win has worked out really well and has his ground

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Runner-up on four of his last six starts, ISLE OF WOLVES deserves a change in luck and he can get that on this occasion with conditions expected to be in his favour at a track that should suit. He is now 3lb below his last winning mark and that may be enough to see off the likes of Little Ted and Young Winston, who wasn't beaten far at Wolverhampton last time out.

TELE RED is only 3 lb above his last winning mark and acquitted himself well over a shorter trip at Thirsk earlier this month. He gets the nod. Isle of Wolves and Little Ted head the list of dangers.

Preference is for LITTLE TED, whose style of racing suits the round course here. He's back up in trip and has conditions to suit.

17:05 Stratford NH Flat Race (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

PARADE AWAY seemed to get better the further he went in a similar race at Haydock on his latest start. The fitting of tongue-tie (retained today) might well have been the prompt for the improved effort and another step forward looks possible from the Milton Harris-trained gelding. Get The Value has also shown a lot of promise in two previous starts and is feared most, although King Of Tara is nicely-bred newcomer to consider.

PARADE AWAY was well clear of the rest when runner-up to a useful filly at Haydock last week and a repeat of that form may well be enough to see him go one place better. Get The Value is a definite threat on his return to action, while King of Tara and Sforza Castle are perhaps the pick of a reasonable bunch of newcomers.

Haydock runner-up Parade Away is a strong contender but preference is for RENOIR, who was a promising third at Bangor on debut.

LTO Selection:

17:15 Naas Handicap 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

BLUES EMPEROR won a Listowel maiden over a mile last year and ran a cracker on his reappearance when beating all bar the progressive Dunum at Limerick. The Johnny Murtagh-trained gelding has only faced soft ground on the turf and could be open to further improvement on this surface. Red Heel won five times for Mick Mulvany including over this trip at the Curragh last summer and has now joined Willie McCreery, although riding arrangements suggest Belharra may be preferred of the Curragh trainer's pair. The latter won five times in France and was probably unsuited by the soft ground on her Irish debut. Comfort Line was also trained by Mick Mulvany when winning over a mile at Navan last summer and has dropped back down in the ratings after racing on soft ground so far this year.

Preference is for BLUES EMPEROR, who made an encouraging reappearance at Limerick last month and remains low mileage. Facethepuckout and Independent Expert head the list of dangers.

Very open and a tentative selection is FACETHEPUCKOUT with Colin Keane taking over

This can go the way of STORMY PEARL, who ran encouragingly on her return at Redcar last month in a contest that has produced several winners subsequently. Rebecca Menzies' charge likes to be prominent and is drawn well in stall three, where she could take some catching. Well-bred Doncaster winner Highfield Viking can follow her home, along with Jack Of Clubs for the in-form Michael Dods team.

HIGHFIELD VIKING took a step forward when scoring at Doncaster and is weighted to go close once again off just a 2 lb higher mark. Jack of Clubs is feared most if, as expected, building on his recent Thirsk fourth. Pontefract-third Hardy Angel is another who is in the picture along with Stormy Pearl and Lukla.

Jack Of Clubs and Highfield Viking are respected but HARDY ANGEL can confirm the promise of his latest Pontefract third.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
