LTO Selection:

13:35 Ffos Las Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Despite offering plenty of encouragement in maiden/novice hurdles, KING ALEXANDER was given a lenient initial mark and took full advantage when making a successful handicap debut at Warwick, on his first appearance following wind surgery. His revised official rating of 121 makes him a tough nut to crack in a contest of this nature and he can successfully concede weight all round. Jet Of Dreams has improved for a wind op too and can get the better of Hobbs Joy in the battle for second.

JET OF DREAMS caught the eye under a considerate ride at Warwick earlier this month and is taken to open his account here. King Alexander looked an improved performer when getting off the mark last time and is the obvious danger, whilst Cooleenymore can also make her presence felt.

The one to beat is KING ALEXANDER, who returns to novice company after a ready handicap win last month.

LTO Selection:

13:50 Redcar Maiden (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Persian Phoenix looks as if she will be better suited by further in time as a daughter of Phoenix Of Spain, but the Johnston yard will have her ready to run first time out. ARC SHADOWFAX did show some promise when fourth after a slow start over shorter at Thirsk, though, and if he adds to that, he could put his experience to good use. Chumbaa may try to make all and could take some catching.

Not much to shout about regarding those with experience, and newcomers might come to the fore, with PERSIAN PHOENIX appealing most as a half-sister to a couple of useful performers. Vice Captain has claims on paper also, while Chumbaa sets the standard amongst those with experience, though it's a modest one.

Persian Phoenix looks the pick of the newcomers but ARC SHADOWFAX showed promise in a much better race on debut and can improve.

LTO Selection:

14:00 Carlisle Stakes (Class 3) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Kaolinite ran a debut full of promise at Southwell over this trip and he is likely to have learned a lot from that experience, which gives him a big shout. However, preference is still for TROPICAL AIR, who is a half-brother to Aesop's Fables and he is fancied to show enough pace to strike on debut. Any market support for Instant Recall should be noted.

The opener can go the way of KAOLINITE who wasn't seen to best effect when third at Southwell on debut a fortnight ago, making headway when denied a run over 1f out. He can put his experience to good use to open his account, though Instant Recall is respected for Karl Burke on his first start and Tropical Air could also go well.

Preference is for very interesting newcomer INSTANT RECALL, who has striking credentials. Kaolinite is second choice.

Low-key effort on the Flat recently after a lengthy absence; too much to prove.
LTO Selection:

14:10 Ffos Las Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Celestial Force remains fairly treated in this sphere, although he is still on his way back from a lengthy absence. Showbusiness has also spent time on the sidelines but is interesting on his first start for Tim Vaughan, while Letterston Lady was fancied to perform better than she did at Perth and can't be written off yet. However, WHATSUPWITHYOU has held his own in better handicaps during the spring and it is that consistency which earns him the vote.

WHATSUPWITHYOU has been in good form this year and looks the safest option in a tricky-looking contest. Letterston Lady and Showbusiness are feared most.

Most of these have something to prove but WHATSUPWITHYOU has been running well and can take advantage of today's return to Class 4.

LTO Selection:

14:20 Redcar Maiden (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

With precious little worthwhile form to go on, this may fall to one of the newcomers and if Archie Watson's CHATURANGA is ready to roll, he can go close under Hollie Doyle and prove a shrewd purchase at 8,500gns. Ryoto has plenty of speed in his pedigree and is worthy of a market watch, while Up The Jazz was only seventh at Beverley on debut but the experience will stand him in good stead.

Like the first division, this looks likely to go to a newcomer, with CHATURANGA the one who appeals most on paper. Night Safari is another interesting newcomer, while Up The Jazz needs a lot more but will probably take a step forward from his debut.

Up The Jazz can improve significantly on his debut run but CHATURANGA is a likely type on paper and gets the nod.

LTO Selection:

14:35 Carlisle Handicap (Class 4) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

THE THIN BLUE LINE (second) and Huddle Up (fifth) renew rivalry from last week at Hamilton, and the former shades the vote once more as he looked well on top of his opponent on that occasion and boasts leading claims to go one better. Another to consider is Our Absent Friends, who filled the runner-up spot at Ayr over 6f when beaten just under a length. He can go well off a 1lb higher mark.

THE THIN BLUE LINE arrives in good form, getting back to winning ways at Musselburgh in April before running at least as well when second at Hamilton, so he is taken to provide Keith Dalgleish with back-to-back victories in this race. Heading the list of dangers is the consistent Princess Karine, while Glorious Rio could fare better returned to this course.

With his new yard back in better form NELSON GAY may well be the answer. Princess Karine is second choice.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

SCRUM DIDDLY made a mockery of his first handicap figure, relishing the step to this trip when toying with the opposition at Ludlow. It is fair to assume the assessor won't be best pleased so Oliver Sherwood is wise to get his five-year-old out again under a penalty before revenge is taken. Halligator made a pleasing beginning to his own handicap career when runner-up at Huntingdon and there should be more to come from him. Braganza Bay unseated when attempting to supplement a Huntingdon triumph at Haydock, but must not be written off yet.

HALLIGATOR has been raised 3 lb for his handicap debut second at Huntingdon but that was an encouraging effort, and one which suggests that this new trip could be the catalyst for improvement. Kim Bailey's representative is marginally preferred to Scrum Diddly, who did the job well on his first run in a handicap at Ludlow and is bound to prove popular under a penalty here. Chinook should be on the premises if able to build on her latest effort and the reappearing The Boola Boss also has claims.

It's hard to get away from SCRUM DIDDLY, who drew well clear to score at Ludlow eight days ago and looks well treated under a penalty.

LTO Selection:

14:55 Redcar Maiden (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Milteye tries cheekpieces, which may bring about some improvement, but he hasn't looked the most straightforward and there is no guarantee the headgear will help. He may still get involved where it matters, but preference is for OWNERS DREAM, all at sea on heavy at Thirsk yet still good enough to come home in second. The better ground may well see him go one better. Paradise Row was left with too much to do when fourth at Wolverhampton and looks an interesting prospect.

If HAT TOSS reproduces the form he showed when narrowly denied in handicap company on his recent yard debut he's the one to beat. Owners Dream caught the eye a bit when second at Thirsk and is feared most ahead of William Knight's Paradise Row.

Hat Toss ran a cracker on his stable debut but the debut effort of PARADISE ROW threatened much better in time.

PAPA COCKTAIL did it nicely at Haydock last month when a comfortable two-length winner, and he has been put up another 7lb in the weights for that display. The son of Churchill is rapidly on the improve and he is fancied to make it a treble. The main danger might be Straits Of Moyle, who took a step forward in first-time cheekpieces last time at Thirsk. Of the remainder, Lord Abama appeals the most.

PAPA COCKTAIL has returned to form on his last 2 starts, again impressing with how he travelled when scoring back on turf at Haydock last time, and he can go on to complete the hat-trick. Straits of Moyle bounced back in first-time cheekpieces when third at Thirsk earlier this month and is feared most, ahead of Westmorian.

Well treated after a barren spell on the AW STRAITS OF MOYLE showed more back on turf last time and is preferred to Papa Cocktail.

LTO Selection:

15:20 Ffos Las Handicap Chase (Class 4) 28f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

AMATEUR has plenty in his favour having won twice over this C&D, the latest off this mark in April last year on similar ground. He looked like he was coming back to form when third here last month, with a drop in class now in his favour. Hotel Du Nord may have found the race came too soon when pulled up at Wetherby but he won his previous race and could go well, along with Fairlawn Flyer, who tries blinkers for the first time.

Dual C&D winner AMATEUR returned to form when third here last month and he looks by far the most solid option. That said, an error-free round would see Gwencily Berbas competitive and he is next on the list ahead of Hotel du Nord.

Dual West Wales National winner AMATEUR (nap) is taken to collect a third C&D win. The Macon Lugnatic is second choice.

Dee See Are filled the runner-up berth on her final couple of appearances in 2022 and if she is ready to go on her return to action, she could get into contention. However, she might come out second-best again, this time to to SENESI, who has shown plenty of promise in each of her three efforts and should have a lot more to come on her handicap bow. The daughter of Kingman is fancied to defy an opening mark of 68 under Daniel Muscutt. Alethiometer is another to note.

SENESI displayed ability on all 3 of her qualifying runs on the AW and is in excellent hands, so a forward step now handicapping is firmly on the cards. Alethiometer and My Honey B are a couple of potential threats.

This may be dominated by the 3yos and SENESI looks the one to beat having shown clear promise on the AW.

WHAT'S THE STORY spent most of his winter in Bahrain and stepped forward from his comeback fifth at Wolverhampton to get to within half a length of a progressive rival at Hamilton. Off the same mark, he is taken to go one better, although Sucellus signed off 2022 with a surprise success on the all-weather and is dangerous if returning in the same form. Detective loves it here and two C&D triumphs last season include a three-quarter-length verdict in this contest.

Having dropped to a handy mark, WHAT'S THE STORY ran well back on turf after 10 weeks off when third at Hamilton 8 days ago and he can build on that and return to winning ways. Five-time course winner Detective could be the biggest threat back down in trip, while Alazwar is the pick of the remainder with his reappearance run behind him.

15:50 Ffos Las Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

John Betjeman seems to save his best for this track with five starts over hurdles reaping their rewards with three wins, a second and a third all over this distance. He should go well but may find this ground fast enough for him, and a narrow vote goes to GAVIN instead. He hacked up by 16 lengths in a selling handicap at Fakenham and an added 6lb from the handicapper may not stop him following up. Nibras Gold and Turpin Gold could also go well.

CUMHACHT boasts plenty of scope from this opening mark given his bumper form so rates a really interesting contender with Harry Cobden a positive jockey booking. Gavin starts out for a new yard in excellent order so is a solid rival, with John Betjeman completing the shortlist.

Preference is for handicap debutant CUMHACHT, who shaped with significant promise when third in a Wincanton maiden last month.

16:00 Redcar Handicap (Class 5) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Exceed has filled the runner-up spot on each of his last three starts and may do so again, this time behind CINQUE VERDE, who faded into fourth over 6f at Doncaster so this step back in distance could be a positive move. The daughter of Sioux Nation has an eye hood to replace cheekpieces, which could help eke out the improvement needed to record her first career success. Belsito is also of interest as he takes a drop down in grade and goes off 2lb lower than when fourth on his Musselburgh comeback.

BELSITO caught the eye on last month's reappearance and back of the scene of his nursery win with a fully-fledged rider back in the saddle, he makes plenty of appeal. Exceed has been knocking on the door and is feared most, ahead of Mistamac.

C&D winner BELSITO is entitled to have come on for his recent comeback and is preferred to Exceed (second choice).

16:10 Carlisle Handicap (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

LEAP YEAR LAD gained reward for some sound efforts in defeat when justifying favouritism at Hamilton, and the runner-up has given the form a boost by going one better at the same venue. Kevin Ryan's three-year-old is capable of continuing his forward momentum, although he comes up against some interesting handicap newcomers, not least Farhhfromforgotten, Hills Of Gold and easy Wolverhampton scorer Sophia's Starlight. Gone hasn't done too badly since making a successful reappearance at Lingfield and she is only 1lb higher now.

LEAP YEAR LAD has been holding his form well this year and finally opened his account when successful at Hamilton last time, so he could be able to score again now he's up and running. Farhhfromforgotten remains capable of better now handicapping and isn't taken lightly, with Gone completing the shortlist.

With his recent Class 6 form having substance, LEAP YEAR LAD (nap) is respected back up in grade. Hills Of Gold is feared most.

16:20 Ffos Las Handicap Chase (Class 5) 24f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Easkey Lad struck at Uttoxeter last October but having failed to complete on his last two starts, connections will be hopeful that first-time cheekpieces can bring about a return to form. UNBLINKING almost pulled off a 16/1 shock when beaten a length at Fontwell and he may have more room for improvement than most on only his eighth start over fences, though Beannaigh Do looks a huge danger if he improves for his chasing debut when second here.

In a race where very few arrive with compelling claims, BEANNAIGH DO is given a chance to build on his chase debut second over a shorter trip here 4 weeks ago. Recent Fontwell second Unblinking is an obvious threat. Easkey Lad and First Class Return are both capable of making an impact at this level if putting their best foot forward.

Nothing has compelling claims but a chance is taken on TUDORS TREASURE, who is on a good mark if he warms to the task today.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

DUBAI DAWN is unbeaten so far in his short career, with both of his victories coming at Wolverhampton over 6f. James Tate's colt now stakes his claim in a handicap for the first time and has shown plenty of pace so the drop to the minimum won't be an issue. Remarkable Force will find this easier than the Cornwallis he contested at Newmarket on his final juvenile appearance and is well worth a second look, as is Sacred Jewel, who possibly had the ground against her on her Musselburgh return.

The free-going DUBAI DAWN should be suited by the minimum trip and is taken to extend his winning run. Remarkable Force and Sacred Jewel rate the principal dangers.

Dubai Dawn is the sexy runner and he may be thrown in but READY FREDDIE GO can provide him with serious resistance.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Trueman ran well when third at Wetherby over this trip on his first start for David O'Meara and is one to consider, but three-year-olds may have the edge at these weights with HOWYOULIKEMENOW likely to go well. Fifth on her only run at Wolverhampton, she ran on over the six furlongs to be beaten less than two lengths and may appreciate the seventh furlong here. Inverlochy is another to think about after her seasonal debut fourth at Lingfield.

HOWYOULIKEMENOW shaped with encouragement first time out and should learn plenty from it, so she takes preference over Agnes Grey and Inverlochy, who are also open to improvement.

The strong vote goes to INVERLOCHY, who remains very interesting on her 2yo effort. Howyoulikemenow is second choice.

Nicky Henderson throws two arrows at this and perhaps MADAM RYDER's experience was crucial in Nico de Boinville opting to partner her rather than newcomer Aston Martini. The five-year-old didn't look out of the ordinary when fifth on her Southwell debut, but she can be expected to step forward significantly. Her stablemate isn't the only interesting first-timer, with the David Pipe-trained Walk Of The Roses also making some appeal, although Quite The Getaway may pose the biggest threat to the selection.

MADAM RYDER shaped as if she'd improve for the experience when fifth at Southwell on debut and Nico de Boinville seems to prefer her over her stablemate Aston Martini, who looks an interesting newcomer. Quite The Getaway is also a player if able to bounce back to form.

David Pipe's newcomer WALK OF THE ROSES looks the part on paper and might be the answer.

LTO Selection:

16:55 Roscommon Maiden 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

WESTERN CAPE sets the standard here and may prove the pick. The Footstepsinthesand gelding had some good runs at Dundalk but failed to get home over 10 furlongs on his handicap debut at Cork after running freely early on. Dropping back in trip now should help and he's be the one to beat on his third-placed effort at Dundalk in March. Zero Fighter looks the obvious danger, having a rating 2lb inferior. Adam Caffrey takes a valuable 7lb off his back to help his chances as well. The Muhaarar gelding ran a nice race first time when fourth at Dundalk but failed to build on that. Six furlongs may have been too short and ten too far though. Master Garvey has a bit to find at the weights but has been running consistently in handicap company and might not be far away.

WESTERN CAPE was third in a claimer at Dundalk earlier in the year and might be capable of getting off the mark at the seventh time of asking. One For Mum, Zero Fighter and Master Garvey can give Denis Hogan's charge most to think about.

The form shown by Western Cape in maidens last year is hard to ignore in a race such as this and he gets the vote

LTO Selection:

17:00 Windsor Handicap (Class 4) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

VESPASIAN's Thirsk second was encouraging enough at the time but looks so much better now in light of the winner's subsequent Listed victory at York, and the Crisfords' sprinter can go one better off the same mark. Glamorous Breeze came in for substantial support at Ascot, only to hinder her chances at the start. There will be plenty who keep faith in her, while Antiphon arrives near the top of his game and will also have his supporters. The returning Whats In The Bag is worth a market check.

VESPASIAN reacted well to a new headgear combination when second back on turf at Thirsk last time and is taken to build on that and go one better now. Glamorous Breeze had an excuse last time and is starting to look well treated so she's second choice ahead of Faustus and Antiphon.

An interesting race in which the Crisfords' VESPASIAN gets the vote ahead of Faustus and Antiphon.

LTO Selection:

17:05 Redcar Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

MR JETMAN posted an improved bid when a close second at Musselburgh last week and he looks the one to beat now turned out quickly off the same mark. Thornaby Beauty arrives in good heart and could be the chief threat now returned to 7f. Goblet Of Fire appeared too keen when failing to see out a mile at Newcastle earlier in the month and better is expected on this switch to the turf.

A straightforward race to assess from a handicapping perspective with MR JETMAN a fair way ahead of his mark judged on last week's second at Musselburgh (clear of the rest). The return to 7f will suit Thornaby Beauty, while Rubellite has to be better than she has shown so far.

Rubellite is better than we have seen so far but MR JETMAN (nap) is taken to build on last week's promising second at Musselburgh.

17:15 Carlisle Handicap (Class 6) 11f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

IOLANI has won and also placed numerous times over hurdles since his last run on the Flat and, as the only C&D winner in the field, he may be the one to beat off this mark. We Still Believe is the in-form option after his Newcastle second, but his best Flat form is over a furlong or more shorter which has to be a slight concern. Unlucky Catterick third Prince Achille is therefore put forward as the main danger.

WE STILL BELIEVE has made a sound start for his new yard and there could be more to come, so he gets the nod ahead of Prince Achille, who finished with running left at Catterick a week ago. Ghostly is another one to consider.

Granted better fortune, PRINCE ACHILLE could well open his account. We Still Believe is feared most.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

PORT LOUIS might be able to put his experience to good use. The James Garfield colt has run with promise on both starts, particularly when fourth at the Curragh last time behind Do It With Style. He kept on well over six furlongs last time so going a bit further now looks an obvious move. Joseph O'Brien saddles three in the race and Hasshoffman looks interesting on breeding. The Starspangledbanner colt is from a good black-type family, he is a half-brother to Queen Mary third Hairy Rocket. Jessica Harrington's newcomer Heliogabalus looks another one to note in the market. The Holy Roman Emperor colt is half-brother to a couple of winners in France, including one that was listed placed.

No surprise were this to go to a newcomer, with JAADIL just about the pick of the bunch on paper, so she's offered before the benefit of market clues. Hasshoffman and Necessitate are other likely types, with Port Louis the most persuasive of those with experience.

It could pay to side with PORT LOUIS who looked progressive at the Curragh and Colin Keane may make good use of his inside draw

LTO Selection:

17:35 Windsor Maiden (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

The two with previous experience, Between Me And U and MISTRESS TEITE, bring solid form to the table, with both behind subsequent winners on debut. The form of Adam West's filly's Redcar third is perhaps slightly stronger than the Pontefract race in which her rival finished fourth, with the winner placing at Listed in level in France, so she gets the nod. The betting should provide a guide to the chances of the newcomers, with Bits And Bobs and Perfect View the pick of them.

BITS AND BOBS looks the most interesting newcomer in a race where the couple with experience don't set a high bar. Cherry Hill appeals on paper, also. There was some encouragement to be gleaned from Mistress Teite's debut, but she likely needs to improve plenty to play a leading role.

It may be worth siding with MISTRESS TEITE, who shaped as though this extra furlong would suit when third on last month's Redcar debut.

17:40 Redcar Handicap (Class 6) 14f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

GALILAEUS proved a different proposition when gaining a breakthrough success in first-time blinkers at Bath last Wednesday and he should take some stopping, despite being saddled with a 6lb penalty. Edwina Sheeran will need to shrug off the same burden for her triumph over 1m4f at Beverley, but she isn't taken lightly now faced with this stiffer test. Michael's Pledge likely has more to offer in handicaps and completes the shortlist.

GALILAEUS looked a different proposition when opening his account at Bath last week and a 6 lb penalty may not be enough to prevent the follow up. Michael's Pledge and Have You A Minute should also go well.

The better ground and blinkers clearly helped GALILAEUS last week. He can defy a penalty at the main expense of Michael's Pledge.

17:45 Market Rasen Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 23f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Doyouknowwhatimean sets the standard for others to aim at with a mark of 109, and the six-year-old wasn't disgraced in a class 4 handicap at Southwell. He may have untapped potential at this longer distance, but could come out second best to REDBRIDGE RAMBLER, who is less exposed and shaped well on his debut over hurdles when third at Uttoxeter. He takes a big step up in trip, which could unlock further improvement. Ellies Sister is next best.

REDBRIDGE RAMBLER has displayed ability all 3 starts, and while he's up markedly in trip, he promises to stay given his run style. He's marginally preferred to Doyouknowwhatimean, who shaped well in a handicap last month.

LTO Selection:

17:55 Roscommon Handicap 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

CHERRY BLOOM was narrowly denied at Dundalk last month and may be able to gain some compensation here. The Holy Roman Emperor filly just emerged the wrong side of a tight photo finish last time with Blue Wood. She can be slowly away at times but if she gets out well again she could make the most of a low draw. Sunset Nova has a chance for a stable in form but hasn't fared well with the draw, out in the widest berth. He stayed on well when fourth at Sligo recently and going back up in trip should suit. Barnhill Rose has been knocking on the door this spring and looks another that has to be on the shortlist.

Hard to warm to the majority of these with BROWN EAGLE awarded the vote having gained his sole success over this C&D and last month's reappearance will ensure he's spot on for this. Barnhill Rose and Cherry Bloom are a couple of threats.

It may pay to side with top-weight BROWN EAGLE, winner of a C&D claimer on this card last year and on a good mark after his run at Cork

With improvement anticipated now he has the run under his belt, he can confirm that promise. Lady Ava will probably come into her own over further, and the same can be said for Amancio, but both first-timers are worth more than a cursory glance.

TOO MUCH TREVOR was very green on debut, but showed clear signs of ability in a small-field affair, and could well step forward sufficiently to take this. Kento, Lady Ava and Edergole's Gift are newcomers who make some appeal on paper and need monitoring in the betting.

The vote goes to TOO MUCH TREVOR, who shaped with promise when second at Leicester and looks a likely improver on this step up in trip.

18:15 Market Rasen Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 19f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

A chance can be taken on the fitness of TEECEETHREE, who went in by five lengths on her second bumper start at Warwick in September and now goes hurdling for the first time. The five-year-old has undergone wind surgery during her time off and can pick up where she left off. Stowaway Jess showed some ability over 2m at Uttoxeter and warrants plenty of respect, while Noonie isn't ruled out either after filling the runner-up spot at Stratford.

It's a shade disconcerting that TEECEETHREE has already had a couple of breathing operations at this stage of her career but she's a bumper winner who has been found a very winnable race against her own sex on hurdles debut. Stowaway Jess and Noonie are the main threats.

LTO Selection:

18:25 Roscommon Handicap 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

A big run in the first division of this race by Cherry Bloom would obviously advertise the chances of BLUE WOOD, who beat her at Dundalk last time. Mark Cahill got a first win out of the Requinto gelding when he just prevailed by a nose last month in a tight finish. He had slipped to a nice mark before joining the Carrick-On-Suir trainer and off just 4lb higher may be able to strike back on turf now. Designer Cailin has run well on her last couple of starts, on the all-weather and on soft ground in Cork. She was raised just a pound for finishing runner-up last time and could be a big player again. Singe Anglais was an eye-catcher when second on his first outing for Declan McGuigan at Sligo last time and he should appreciate going up in trip now.

The vote goes to SINGE ANGLAIS, who shaped well on his first start for this yard in a Sligo claimer last week and resumes in handicap company on a career-low mark. The return to this trip may well be in his favour, too. Designer Cailin is 0-14 on turf but found just one too strong at Cork earlier this month and a reproduction of that would put her firmly in the picture. Pallasmore Lass is third choice ahead of Blue Wood.

Preference is for SINGE ANGLAIS on the back of a good run in a Sligo claimer last week. The step up in trip will suit him well

LTO Selection:

18:35 Windsor Handicap (Class 3) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Spanish Star posted a career-best performance when getting up to win at Goodwood earlier in the month and the eight-year-old isn't taken lightly. Patrick Chamings' inmate did, however, finish in sixth behind HAYMAKER at Newbury last month. The son of Muhaarar finished a solid third on that return to action and he looks capable of picking up a race of this nature. Four of Indian Creak's successes have come at this course and he also enters calculations.

The most appealing of these is HAYMAKER, who resumed with a good effort off this mark in a big-field contest at Newbury last month. He is entitled to come on for that run (first outing following a 7-month break) and forecast quicker ground here is another positive factor. Lethal Nymph failed to land a blow on his final start of 2022 but he was on the up prior to that and has to enter calculations. Zero Carbon is third choice ahead of recent Goodwood scorer Spanish Star.

The vote goes to INDIAN CREAK (nap) who loves it here (4-9 over C&D) and seems equally effective on varying types of ground.

RON BURGUNDY (third) had Whataboutyeh (fourth) two and a half lengths behind him at Uttoxeter, with the latter failing to justify his short odds. The selection was only making his second chase start and finished his race off well enough to suggest his mark being unchanged could prove to be too kind. Miss Wachit returns to this sphere after refusing to race at Southwell, but could have a say on her chase form from last year.

There should be more to come from WHATABOUTYEH, who acquitted himself well in a stronger contest on chase debut at Uttoxeter earlier this month. Ron Burgundy looks the obvious danger on form, whilst market support for Chief Black Robe, on debut for Fergal O'Brien, could prove significant.

HUTTON GLEN is by a sprinter but his dam won the Ascot Stakes over 2m4f and there's a good chance he'll improve for stepping up to this trip. Ger Lyons' charge stayed on well for second over a mile at Gowran last time and had Pearl Of Australia over four lengths behind in fourth. Astar was also runner-up at Gowran last time and, although the filly that beat her didn't advertise the form at York, should be involved in the finish. Gimmie Shelter, fitted with a tongue-tie for the first time, ran a couple of nice races last term and his brother won the Group 3 Gallinule Stakes over this trip. Galileo's Compass, a brother to a Group 2 winner over 1m4f, is a newcomer to note.

Preference is for HUTTON GLEN, who has acquitted himself well in both starts so far and is bred to appreciate this longer trip. Gimmie Shelter and Astar head the list of dangers.

With a hood added today, ASTAR(nap) will hopefully settle better and can get off the mark at the fifth time of asking.

LTO Selection:

19:05 Windsor Maiden (Class 2) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

The market should prove informative, nevertheless, a chance is taken on newcomer GOLDEN SMILE. Charlie Appleby's filly boasts a smart pedigree, being a half-sister to some useful types and notably Group 3 winner Hamada, so she could have too much class for these rivals. Fleurir and Value Added rate as the pick of those with experience, with the former making slightly more appeal given the fact that she has a recent run under her belt.

A host of potential improvers in an intriguing maiden. GLENCALVIE had the reopposing Fleurir behind in third when a promising second on her AW debut last autumn and is taken to go one better on her return to the track. Royal runners Value Added and Gentle Light are other interesting contenders, while Golden Smile and Vaguely Regal are newcomers from top yards who need keeping a close eye on in the betting.

A few with chances in an interesting maiden. GLENCALVIE had Fleurir behind when making a very pleasing debut last season.

LTO Selection:

19:15 Market Rasen Handicap Chase (Class 4) 19f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Market Rasen regular HIGH NOON hasn't managed to get his head in front since scoring here in June 2021, which came hot on the heels of a victory in this contest, but he is slipping down the handicap and could be ready to capitalise. Pens Man went some way to putting an unfortunate Bangor experience behind him when runner-up at Exeter, and seems to thrive on top of the ground so was put away for the winter afterwards. Ridgeway was a fair third at the Scottish National meeting and he completes the shortlist.

RIDGEWAY appeared to take a step back in the right direction when third at Ayr last month and, with both conditions and this stiffer test in his favour, he earns the vote. Pens Man and High Noon, returning from breaks of 7 and 11 months respectively, are feared most in that order of preference.

LTO Selection:

19:25 Roscommon Handicap 10f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

NARLITA has run well on all three starts since joining Harry Rogers and can get a first win on the board. She had Halla Ban, who runs from 3lb out of the handicap here, back in fourth when just failing to get up at Gowran last time and can defy a 5lb hike although she will have to prove her effectiveness on better ground. Autocrat narrowly defeated Dubawi Spectre at Dundalk in February and followed up over 1m4f at the same venue last month. He's an improving three-year-old with good claims again. Dubawi Spectre wasn't beaten far at Cork on his latest outing and is tried in new headgear while Play It Again Zaam, stepping up in trip, is an interesting handicap debutant on just his second start for Joseph O'Brien.

This can go to NARLITA, who only narrowly failed to open her account at Gowran earlier this month and remains on a workable mark. Dubawi Spectre and Autocrat rate the principal dangers.

Having run a fine race after a break at Cork last time, DUBAWI SPECTRE should have improved enough from that to score.

LTO Selection:

19:35 Windsor Handicap (Class 4) 11f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

TESSY LAD's hurdling exploits didn't work out as hoped, but he rated as a progressive sort on the Flat back in October and a 4lb rise for his last success at Wolverhampton looks workable. Saligo Bay wasn't disgraced when finishing fourth at Epsom last month and a 1lb drop in the ratings makes Gary Moore's inmate of interest too. The in-form Lexington Knight reverts to the turf and completes the shortlist.

Ed Walker has his string in good form and REINA DEL MAR could be another winner for the yard. She shaped as though her ability remains intact, despite finishing nearer last than first back from 19 months off, at Salisbury and can be expected to step up on that here. The consistent Pride of Nepal is likely to give another good account of himself and rates the main danger ahead of Lexington Knight and Noble Masquerade.

19:45 Market Rasen Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 21f Race Class Flow

PRESENTING PETE has been sent off favourite on each of his six appearance since joining the John Mackie team and has justified that twice, although he did have one Southwell prize taken off him for a banned substance. Despite returning from eight months off, his supporters will likely give him their backing again and he can reward them. Headscarf Lil's last couple of displays have left plenty to be desired but she has had wind surgery now so could improve, while Rory And Me might do better for the application of cheekpieces.

RORY AND ME may have needed his recent outing here after a break and is taken to bounce back to form in first-time cheekpieces. Presenting Pete is on an attractive mark and will be a big threat if fully primed after 7 months off. Headscarf Lil could also play a part if responding well to a recent wind operation.

19:55 Roscommon Handicap 12f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

There are plenty of unexposed types in here with more that half of the field stepping into handicap company for the first time but WHISKY ON THE HILL is the one with the solid form in the book. He's gone up another 7lb for the latest of two wins at Sligo but a good claimer is engaged to negate that hike and he shapes like stepping up to 1m4f will suit. Drying ground is a slight concern but he'll take a bit of beating. Notturno chased home the selection at Sligo last month and is 8lb better off here but may struggle to turn around the form. Master Dunraven has run a couple of nice races in maidens and could be on a fair mark while Gavin Cromwell's pair, Pinot Gris and Macinamillion, may also be capable of more prominent showings.

WHISKY ON THE HILL has improved in leaps and bounds since switched to handicaps and is taken to complete the hat-trick. He meets Notturno on significantly worse terms than when proving 2¾ lengths too good for that rival on the first of his two victories over 10.4f at Sligo in recent weeks, but this step up in trip promises to bring about further improvement. Notturno is nevertheless greatly respected and rates the clear main danger, while handicap debutant Rauzan is one to note in the betting.

Whisky On The Hill is greatly respected but NOTTURNO is now 15lb better off with him from their Sligo clash and can turn the tables

LTO Selection:

20:05 Windsor Handicap (Class 5) 11f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Mirabello Bay has been in fine form this year, winning two of his three outings, but, having been raised 13lb for those efforts, it might be best to side with OVERACTIVE. The Ralph Beckett inmate has shown more than enough in his three runs so far to suggest a mark of 75 is workable, with the step up in distance fancied to unlock the improvement needed. Kyle Of Lochalsh is of interest too with Tom Marquand booked for the ride.

It's not hard to envisage both KYLE OF LOCHALSH and Brave Knight taking steps forward now moving up in trip and into handicap company. The latter represents a shrewd, in-form yard and it will be an ominous sign if he's strong in the betting. Still, preference is for Kyle of Lochalsh, who appeared to be getting the hang of things at Lingfield when last seen in December and his yard has won this race 3 times in the past. Mirabello Bay, in good form on the all-weather of late, is best of the rest.

20:15 Market Rasen Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 17f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

GEORGE MALLORY took a big step back in the right direction when getting closest to a facile winner at Market Rasen and while he was 11 lengths adrift, his conqueror has scored just as easily since so is clearly well ahead of the handicapper. The Pogsons' seven-year-old is just preferred to Zamond, who also arrives on the back of a second - in a competitive Musselburgh handicap in March. No Recollection ended his time with Alan King with a bit of a whimper, but his new trainer applies a tongue-tie and he is one to keep an eye on.

The most solid option here is ZAMOND whose latest Musselburgh second came in a competitive race. George Mallory could pose a threat if backing up his recent C&D second, while the drop back to 2m could benefit the unexposed Prospect House.

20:25 Roscommon Handicap 12f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Amy Jo Hayes won three times on FIVE ZEROS last term and was on board the daughter of Mustajeeb when she reappeared at Sligo last month. After finishing a fair sixth there on ground softer than ideal, the six-year-old should be primed to go well under her regular partner. Sequoiaspirit made a fine start to the season when winning readily over a longer trip at Gowran and has to be respected off a 7lb higher mark. Scott Lang was narrowly denied at Navan last month and has Colin Keane's assistance while Agenda was a three-time winner over this trip in France and has joined a shrewd yard. Magnetic North bounced back to form at Leopardstown on Friday and is a C&D winner but a 7lb penalty may be difficult to defy.

LUMINOUS LIGHT arrives fit from a good spell over hurdles (won last month) and is selected to make a successful return to the Flat under Shane Foley. Last-time-out winners Magnetic North and Sequoiaspirit head the dangers along with recent Navan second Scott Lang, the mount of Colin Keane.

It might be worth taking a flyer on BIGZ BELIEF, who has been running with credit on the Flat recently.

Tawtheef got up for second last time at Brighton in this grade and has to be respected, while Eljaytee and Destinado are also worthy of consideration.

TAWTHEEF ran a cracker on his return at Brighton last month and remains fairly treated. He gets the nod in an open-looking finale. Gearing's Point and Princess T head the list of dangers.

LTO Selection:

20:45 Market Rasen NH Flat Race (Class 5) 17f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

With the only previous form to go on a poor effort from Looks Right at Wetherby, it will be a massive surprise if this doesn't go the way of a newcomer. DENBURN is from a good French family that includes former top-class chaser Madison Du Berlais and he cost 50,000 pounds a year ago. He represents a stable that can certainly ready one first time but so can connections of Colonel Whizz, who made about the same price at the sales but must give Alan King's charge 4lb. Jour D'evasion is also considered.

COLONEL WHIZZ is related to winners and represents a stable with a good record in this sphere, so he's marginally preferred to Denburn without the benefit of market clues. Jour d'Evasion is another interesting newcomer.
