14:05 Gowran Park Maiden 7f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

HASIYNA may be able to step forward here in a tricky looking maiden. The Tamayuz filly showed improvement on her return this year when a staying on third at Sligo over just shy of 6f. This step up in trip and a more galloping track could bring a bit more. Neowise also showed significant improvement on her second outing when chasing home Lady Onyx here last month and looks an obvious danger from the in-form Jessica Harrington yard. Machnamh sets the standard here off a mark of 80 and may be better suited by this trip having been mid-division over six at the Curragh last time.

Not so competitive as the numbers suggest and GOLDEN SPANGLE looks to have been found a good opportunity to get off the mark on the back of her gutsy Tipperary second. Machnamh will benefit from this step up in trip and rates the chief threat with recent C&D second Neowise another who can have a say.

A handful of these have chances but SATURN SEVEN is more than ready for this return to 7f and she edges preference.

LTO Selection:

14:15 Ayr Maiden (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

TAJAWAL would have likely finished closer but for being hampered at Sandown last month and he looks more than capable of winning a race of this nature now dropped in class. Lil' Frank posted an encouraging second on his return to action at Southwell in early May and appears to be the obvious danger returning to turf. Fiver Friday shouldn't be far away if judged on her debut performance, while newcomer Angel From Above is worth a market check.

This looks to rest between LIL' FRANK and Tajawal, with marginal preference for Roger Varian's improving son of Frankel who can go one better than when a good Southwell second last time. Tajawal didn't enjoy the rub of the green when third at Sandown and rates a big threat, with Irish challenger Fiver Friday the pick of the remainder.

Roger Varian's LIL' FRANK, who made a pleasing seasonal reappearance last month, gets the vote ahead of Tajawal.

LTO Selection:

14:20 Listowel Maiden Hurdle 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

SILENT APPROACH should prove very difficult to beat if reproducing her recent Killarney effort. On that occasion, the Con O'Keeffe-trained mare belied odds of 40/1 when keeping on strongly to finish third in a Listed Hurdle. Meeting nothing like that calibre of opposition here, it would be disappointing if she failed to get her head in front. Tramore bumper winner Katie Tay wasn't able for a step up in class at Gowran Park subsequently but with another winter on her back she should be a stronger mare now. Michael Hourigan likes nothing better than a winner at this meeting, so it would be no surprise to see Winning Mischief run well for one of his oldest patrons, Denis Reddan. The lightly raced six-year-old showed definite promise when fourth at Tipperary last month.

SILENT APPROACH has been knocking on the door over hurdles and a repeat of last week's excellent second at Killarney may well see her go one place better. Katie Tay won a bumper and is sure to be well prepared for this hurdles bow so she's second choice, ahead of Katherine.

LTO Selection:

14:30 Thirsk Maiden (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

The debut run at Ascot from JE NE SAIS QUOI was solid enough on face value, but given the winner franked the form in good style at Carlisle last Thursday, this daughter of Dandy Man, looks the pick of the bunch at this early stage of their development. Barg represents a yard that has hit the ground running with its juveniles and he is another to monitor closely in the betting, while Latama and Macarone also appeal based on pedigree.

JE NE SAIS QUOI shaped well in a stronger race than this at Ascot on debut and looks the one to beat despite the presence of Latama, who looks an interesting newcomer. Midnight Lir is also quite appealing.

Newmarket raiders JE NE SAIS QUOI and Latama are strongly respected. Barg and Midnight Lir head the northern contingent.

14:37 Gowran Park Handicap 7f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

HOTROCKET ran really well on his handicap debut in testing conditions at Cork in April and can collect now back on a better surface. He won on good ground at Fairyhouse last summer and also ran a big race on his first outing for Joseph O'Brien at Dundalk so this livelier ground should suit better. The admirable veteran Spanish Tenor ran well in softer ground at Limerick on his last start and off the same mark he commands respect. Big Baby Bull won well in claiming company at Tipperary recently and has actually been eased 3lb since that run so he's another for the shortlist.

The most appealing of these by some way is HOTROCKET, who shaped really well when fourth of 13 on his reappearance at Cork. He remains open to improvement and is probably capable of a good deal better than his current mark implies. Exquisite Acclaim could be the answer for forecast purposes, while recent Tipperary claimer winner Big Baby Bull and Spanish Tenor should both have a part to play.

Joseph O'Brien's HOTROCKET (nap) ran well at Cork and he promises to be better suited by these less taxing conditions.

LTO Selection:

14:45 Ayr Handicap (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

ALETHIOMETER made a very pleasing return to action at Redcar over a mile when only beaten a length and a half, for which she has been put up 2lb. The daughter of Aclaim struck over this distance in July last year and she could prove tough to beat under Callum Rodriguez. The main threat is Woobay, who has taken a step forward on each of her three starts and is an interesting contender on her handicap bow, while Gometra Ginty rates best of the rest.

ALETHIOMETER made a pleasing return from a lengthy absence when runner-up at Redcar a fortnight ago and can go one better now at the chief expense of Woobay, who rates a major threat on her handicap debut with more to offer. Course winner Cosa Sara and handily-weighted Gometra Ginty also need factoring into an open handicap.

Clear second in a recent 6f course maiden, WOOBAY could be on a lenient mark for today's handicap debut.

14:50 Listowel Maiden Hurdle 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Despite failing to justify favouritism at Killarney last month, MORNING SOLDIER is afforded another opportunity to win for the first time over hurdles. A former Dundalk victor on the Flat, the Tom Mullins-trained gelding has some strong form since switching codes. With a handicap mark of 121, he really should be beating the level of opposition he encounters in this race. Humanitarian, who has posted a couple of good runs since joining the Shark Hanlon yard in February, is one that could pose a big threat. Twice a winner when trained on the level by Stuart Williams in the UK, the seven-year-old has a rating that gives him every chance. Mister Wilson has reached the frame on all three starts since returning from a break, so, he too, can make his presence felt in a competitive heat.

MORNING SOLDIER has the best form and arrives on the back of a solid effort at Killarney, so he gets the nod ahead of Suttons Hill, who is open to improvement. Mister Wilson looks the pick of the remainder but he has something to find.

LTO Selection:

15:00 Thirsk Stakes (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

The unbeaten Tyndrum Gold is highly respected on his reappearance/turf debut. However, he shoulders a double penalty and he will need to be well above average to give so much weight away after an 180-day absence. Therefore, it might be worth putting a small investment on RAJINDRI being able to take a step forward from a promising second at Beverley last month. She gets weight from the rest and her turf experience could be vital. Dora Milaje is also considered.

The form of RAJINDRI's efforts on the all-weather last season read well and she was touched off on her reappearance/turf debut at Beverley, leaving the impression that there's better to come. She gets the nod ahead of the unbeaten Tyndrum Gold, who is greatly respected but may find the concession of 17 lb (not taking his rider's claim into account) to the selection a bridge too far. Burning The Bails, Terwada and Dora Milaje are other interesting types in what promises to be an informative race.

Quite a competitive novice event with several appealing types in the field. RAJINDRI is first choice, ahead of Tyndrum Gold.

15:07 Gowran Park Handicap 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

BARNHILL ROSE has been knocking on the door and may be able to gain a deserved win. The Mayson filly was denied by half a length at Roscommon last time and is reunited with Siobhan Rutledge now, who was on board when she gained her sole previous victory at Naas last summer. Together Aclaim was just a neck behind the selection last time and also went up 2lb for that performance so looks an obvious danger. Pinball Wizard won over course and distance 13 days ago and could be a big player again despite a 8lb hike for that victory.

TOGETHER ACLAIM is still without a win but has fallen in the weights and looks the way to go on the back of his good Roscommon third last time. Barnhill Rose, runner-up in that same contest, is another weighted to have a say with the lightly-raced Snowdonia Song and C&D scorer Pinball Wizard completing the shortlist.

Barnhill Rose must have a chance and so too TOGETHER ACLAIM, who finished hot on the heels of that mare at Roscommon.

LTO Selection:

15:15 Ayr Handicap (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

St Andrew's Castle had five of these in behind when he won here last month and the five-year-old looks a key player once again. However, FIFTY SENT looks the way to go after his game success when giving 14lb to Tafsir on the Tapeta at Newcastle last month. A 2lb higher mark is hardly restrictive and there are solid foundations to build from now he is back on turf. Coconut Bay also appeals back in trip with a tongue-tie applied.

This is very trappy. FIFTY SENT could have a bit more to come for new trainer Michael Dods so he is the suggestion. Havana Party was behind a couple of today's rivals here last time but it's possible he could provide the chief threat if a change of headgear gives him a bit of a lift.

Topweight FIFTY SENT had only a short head to spare when winning on Tapeta last month but may still have potential.

15:20 Listowel Handicap Hurdle 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

A big run could be forthcoming from RED BALL OF FIRE in the first-time blinkers. She made a more than satisfactory return to action, after more than six months off, when keeping on well for third on the Flat in Sligo. She has won twice before over hurdles and Daniel King claims 5lb. Inchiquin Star is dangerous. She chased home a gambled-on favourite in Tipperary and was well clear of the remainder. Hi Ski was game off the front to score in Tipperary and could have more to offer off 5lb higher. She may not get an easy lead here, though. Bint Freya has been placed on her last two starts and can get involved. Milajess was a fair second in Clonmel, but that was on soft ground.

INCHIQUIN STAR upped her game significantly when runner-up on handicap hurdle debut at Tipperary last month and remains low mileage in this sphere. She is fancied to score. Hi Ski and Bint Freya head the list of dangers.

The four-year-old INCHIQUIN STAR was a fair maiden on the Flat and could now make the breakthrough in her second handicap hurdle

15:30 Thirsk Handicap (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

DIAMOND HAZE, who won last year's corresponding race off 1lb higher, strikes as a likely candidate to give his all in his bid to gain back-to-back wins. Assuming he breaks on better terms than on his latest outing, the five-year-old has a lot going for him and looks worth another chance. Menelaus has also shown a liking for this course and is feared most, while Rocket Rod and Langton Wold also have something to offer.

Several to consider in this competitive handicap. ABSOLUTE DREAM's recent form figures do not inspire confidence but he has edged back down to an appealing mark and, having shaped as though still a little rusty on his second appearance of the present campaign at Wetherby, he may well be closer to concert pitch here. Menelaus went agonisingly close to opening his account over C&D last time and looks set for another bold show, while Zumurud is also strongly respected.

Maiden MENELAUS (nap) is taken to open his account. Last year's winner Diamond Haze is feared most.

15:37 Gowran Park Maiden 10f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

This doesn't look a strong contest and it would be no surprise if the regally-bred KNIGHT TO KING could make a winning debut. The son of Kingman is out of Irish 1,000 Guineas winner Nightime which makes him a half-brother to top-class performer Ghaiyyath. Firm Handshake ran a promising race first time when third at Cork and wasn't disgraced in a decent maiden at Leopardstown last time when fading a touch late on after making most of the running. He looks the pick of those that have run. Lygon Street wasn't beaten far in a couple of strong maidens last season and could be a potential improver on his return.

Those with experience don't set much of a standard and well-bred newcomer KNIGHT TO KING is taken to make a winning start to his career. The son of Kingman appears to be held in high regard (holds an entry in the Irish Derby) and it will look significant if there's confidence behind him in the betting. King of Wessex should be more street-wise following his debut spin at the Curragh and is taken to follow the selection home, with Firm Handshake best of the rest ahead of Lygon Street.

The interesting one of the very well-bred KNIGHT TO KING who wouldn't need to be anything special to make a winning debut.

15:45 Ayr Handicap (Class 5) 15f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

IMPERATIVE is bred to stay well and has improved on his last couple of starts, including when getting off the mark here over 1m 5f last month, and the four-year-old appears capable of defying a 4lb rise from the handicapper. Stable companion Annandale is turned out quickly following his third at Carlisle on Thursday and warrants plenty of respect. Jim Goldie saddles half the field and, of his trio, Baez makes the most appeal up in trip.

IMPERATIVE is the unexposed one in this line-up and is selected to make light of a 4 lb rise for last month's course win. Baez made a sound start for the Jim Goldie yard when third here 13 days ago and could be the one to give Iain Jardine's representative most to think about.

After running well over 1m3f on Thursday, ANNANDALE can exploit his much-reduced mark over today's longer trip.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

GRANGE WALK is rated some 30lb lower over hurdles than fences. He tried to exploit that disparity at Clonmel, but went down by a length to the winner. The horse that beat him followed up in Wexford to boost the form. Glan was noted staying on for fifth in a high-quality handicap at Killarney last month. Danny Gilligan's 7lb claim is proving to be a major bonus. Bal De Rio has won three of his last six hurdle races. He should be one of the main protagonists. Mica Malpic hasn't been out since the end of October. In addition, this is only his second crack at hurdles having been extensively campaigned over fences including when winning here on his penultimate start. This trip could be on the sharp side for him.

GRANGE WALK arrives in good form and is given another chance to exploit his significantly lower hurdles mark here. Weddell Sea and Bal de Rio should also go well.

Maybe the return to Listowel will spark WOULDN'T YOU AGREE who runs the track well, will enjoy the ground and can go well fresh

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Only narrowly denied over an extended 5f at Wetherby last month, a 2lb raised mark looks unlikely to stop HAIL SEZER being in the mix and Geoffrey Harker's six-year-old appears the one to beat. He was denied a clear run during the aforementioned contest and the fact he stayed on well suggests a marginally stiffer stamina test can suit here. Patontheback is respected following a close second at Newcastle in April, while Barney's Bay is another to consider.

This can go to HAIL SEZER, who was unfortunate not to score (denied clear run) at Wetherby last month and still looks well treated. Late Arrival and Patontheback head the list of dangers.

Back up in distance LATE ARRIVAL may be the answer off a handy mark. Hail Sezer is feared most.

TREASURED SOUL was an eye-catcher on debut at Leopardstown when staying on strongly from the back to finish fifth behind Winston Spencer. He was the stable's second string that day and looks open to plenty of improvement from that initial effort. Dawn Session sets the standard here off a mark of 83 and was in front of the selection when second at Leopardstown on his penultimate start. He commands plenty of respect, having been placed again since, but Treasured Soul is fancied to improve past him. Cormac T looks another obvious contender after a couple of placed efforts and also has to be on the shortlist.

An interesting maiden with CORMAC T narrowly preferred to Dawn Session. He was no match for one destined for a higher grade at Navan and can surely win races. Similar comments apply to Dawn Session, who probably ran into another good one from the Joseph O'Brien stable himself at the Curragh and should be getting off the mark soon. Treasured Soul followed him home at Leopardstown and has more to offer.

This is a decent contest. The Nathaniel-bred CORMAC T would not be winning out of turn. Perhaps the biggest danger is Treasured Soul

ONE LAST HUG failed to land a hat-trick when stepping back up in trip for his latest outing at Redcar, but the fact he saw off Stay Smart and Freedom Flyer when scoring on his penultimate and third-last runs suggests he is capable of bouncing back. He is rated 5lb higher than when recording a staying-on success over C&D last month, though, so Kraken Power can give him plenty to think about following a decent third over 6f last month. Ruth Carr's reopposing six-year-old completes the shortlist.

FREEDOM FLYER looks well worth dropping back to the minimum trip so gets the tentative nod in what looks a trappy event. One Last Hug is back under professional handling and is a threat, along with Kraken Power.

Jim Goldie's KRAKEN POWER scores good marks for his consistency this year and might be the answer.

A competitive race. EASY GAME is taken to come out on top on this good ground. He has won half of his 24 races over fences which is a formidable record. He was fortunate to score in Fairyhouse in April, but arrives here after a short break in the hunt for a four-timer. Trip and ground are ideal for him. He won this race last year. Jeremys Flame isn't easily passed over. Gavin Cromwell's mare successfully gave weight away to her rivals in Limerick with Hurricane Georgie held in second. She has won four of her last six chases and has to be respected. Dancing On My Own took a valuable handicap chase at Aintree in April and is another big player. The aforementioned Hurricane Georgie is on a very handy weight.

Hard to rule out any of these at-least-useful performers but DANCING ON MY OWN was better than ever when a decisive winner of a valuable handicap at Aintree in April and he's just about the most persuasive option. Easy Game must concede weight all round but that is fully justified and he is a big threat.

No soft touch this time for EASY GAME (nap) won seven of his last eight starts and is taken to enhance his wonderful strike-rate

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Lady Rascal recorded a staying-on success in a classified stakes at Salisbury last month, but the daughter of Nathaniel was beaten seven lengths at Newbury off a 5lb lower mark on her penultimate run. Therefore, the vote goes to handicap debutant FOLK STAR. Her dam won a Grade 1 in America over 1m 2f and was only narrowly denied in the Lillie Langtry during her career, so David Simcock's inmate looks set to progress up in distance. The grade-dropping Fox Flame completes the shortlist.

The way looks clear for LADY RASCAL to add to her recent success at Salisbury where, once again, she left the impression that moving up to this trip would be very much in her favour. Fox Flame understandably struggled in the Lingfield Oaks Trial last month and is likely to give it a good shot back in calmer waters. Handicap-debutante Folk Star is also of interest.

Handicap debutante FOLK STAR showed only minor promise in three 1m novice races but might be seen in a much better light over 1m4f.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

SIR ANTONINO ran well on his return at Sligo on slightly easier ground and looks capable of striking off his current mark. He was outstayed by In From The Cold in the closing stages on his comeback run and the faster ground and a slight drop in trip should suit now. Gradulations ran well at Fairyhouse the other day when outstayed by Dancing Tango after trying to kick early in the straight. She has been eased a couple of pounds and is a big player if reproducing that performance. New Hill showed more on nicer ground at Leopardstown last time and remains on the same mark after that third-placed effort. She is another that has to come into calculations.

Joseph O'Brien's SIR ANTONINO gets the nod to build on his promising reappearance second at Sligo and resume winning ways under Declan McDonagh. Andrew Oliver pair Gradulations and Secret Spy head the dangers along with recent Leopardstown third New Hill.

It is a little surprising to see the headgear change on Sir Antonino. A stablemate of that one beat GRADULATIONS on Thursday

LTO Selection:

16:45 Ayr Handicap (Class 6) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

BIPLANE returned to winning ways when adopting more positive tactics at Newcastle last month and she looks capable of shrugging off a 4lb rise if displaying a similar approach on this switch to turf. Kalahari Prince has slowly been coming into form and the David O'Meara-trained gelding isn't taken lightly now 4lb lower his Redcar triumph in October. Alpine Sierra may be freshened up by a change of scenery and is another to note.

KALAHARI PRINCE has dropped a long way in the weights and his Beverley effort in blinkers 3 weeks ago was his most promising effort for his current yard. He's chanced to build on that, with Rory, who is being kept busy, and Biplane, a recent winner on the AW, the obvious threats.

The pick is KALAHARI PRINCE (nap), who ran well in a more competitive race than this when tried in blinkers at Beverley last month.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

NICE TO MEET put in an excellent effort when just pipped by a short head in Killarney. He kept a very useful sort in this discipline more than honest at the finish, and a reproduction of that run would make him hard to beat. He will enjoy this ground. Lanziano served up a 14/1 surprise in a Ballingarry point-to-point, but the way he did that suggests there could be more in the tank. Russian Diamond ran fourth in a quality hunters chase at Downpatrick which has to give him a chance here. Woodbrook Boy is a solid operator who know where the winning post is.

RUSSIAN DIAMOND exceeded market expectations when fourth in a better hunter than this at Downpatrick 17 days ago so he looks the way to go. Nice To Meet is feared most, though it will be interesting to see Lanziano can do over the regulation fences.

After a creditable fourth to Billaway at Downpatrick, RUSSIAN DIAMOND get the vote ahead of Killarney runner-up Nice To Meet

PURPLE ICE justified favouritism when getting up to lead in the dying strides at Newcastle last month and he looks capable of shrugging off a 2lb rise back on turf. C&D winner Bollin Margaret returned to form when denied by a neck at Redcar last Monday and she is feared most. Jamih and Visitant arrive in fair form and can't be discounted either.

BOLLIN MARGARET has been cut plenty of slack by the handicapper and posted her best effort for some time when runner-up at Redcar last week. She is fancied to go one better here. Purple Ice and Streetscape can also make their presence felt.

These conditions are ideal for C&D winner JAMIH who shaped as though a win was imminent when a close fourth at Beverley last week.

17:07 Gowran Park Handicap 10f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

SNOWHAVEN has been eased 1lb since her last run, giving her a chance in this company now, and she looks up to opening her account. The Le Havre filly kept on to finish fifth on her handicap debut at Leopardstown last month and going up a bit in trip now looks like it should suit. Ranko Express was a cosy winner here last month and could be competitive again despite an 8lb hike for that victory. Water Mint chased home Ranko Express over course and distance last time and is half a stone better off now so is entitled to get closer.

RANKO EXPRESS was nicely on top on his C&D handicap debut last month and can make light of an 8 lb rise. Slaney Tide failed to fire behind the selection in that race but prior to that had been a close second at Tipperary and can bounce back in a refitted tongue tie. Jessica Harrington's Snowhaven made a solid start to her handicap career at Leopardstown recently and also makes the shortlist.

SNOWHAVEN might be worth chancing after being sent off favourite at Leopardstown. A cracking race for an each-way bet

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Global Humor got up to score by a nose last time over 6f at this track and he goes off a 3lb higher mark, which keeps him in with a big shout. However, preference is still for PRIMO'S COMET, who is an unknown at this trip but has shaped as if a step up in distance will suit him. Therefore, he is fancied to be rewarded for his recent consistency. Angel Amadea is another to consider, as she wasn't disgraced at Doncaster last time and she steps back up in trip.

Jim Goldie holds a strong hand with PRIMO'S COMET, who takes a big drop back in class, preferred to last-time-out course winner Global Humor. Of the rest, Angel Amadea lurks on a dangerous mark.

After a quiet start to the season, GLOBAL HUMOR got back on track with a recent 6f course win. He might complete a quickfire double.

KINBARA catches the eye. This Mahler gelding landed a point-to-point and a bumper last year and was thought good enough to reappear in a Grade 2 bumper at Aintree in April in which he finished mid-division. High Class Hero has a long absence to overcome, but has switched to Willie Mullins and is sure to be well prepared for this assignment. He was last seen winning a Loughbrickland point-to-point in November 2021 and had several subsequent hurdle and bumper winners in behind. Great Universe has a Clonmel bumper victory in the book, but may prefer a bit of juice in the ground.

Point winner HIGH CLASS HERO is nicely bred and represents top connections so he's fancied to make a successful start in bumpers at the likely expense of Great Universe, who is the clear pick of those with form. Kinbara is another one to consider.

The Mullins newcomer High Class Hero is feared but KINBARA ran okay in a Grade 2 at Aintree and should take a bit of beating

17:30 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

LHEBAYEB ran well from an uncompromising position when runner-up at Bath last month and Victor Dartnall's mare is fancied to gain a breakthrough success. Sun Festival arrives in good form and isn't taken lightly now returned to the C&D of his sole triumph. Odd Socks Havana wasn't quite at his best here recently, but he can't be discounted on earlier all-weather efforts.

Most of these find winning difficult, but that cannot be said of seven-time course winner INEXPLICABLE and he's taken to get back on track having had a rare turf outing when last seen. Odd Socks Havana and Sun Festival are a couple of potential threats.

A few of these are in the reckoning but LAILAH is entitled to improve for her return from a layoff now tackling a trip that should suit.

CRIME FICTION responded well to first-time cheekpieces when coming from the rear to triumph at Musselburgh last month and Adrian Nicholls' filly looks to have been found a suitable opportunity to complete a double, with a 2lb nudge in the ratings more than fair. Exceed remains a maiden after eight appearances, but he can't be discounted in his current form. Cheyenne Nation and Desert Illusion make most appeal of the remainder.

CRIME FICTION represents a stable going well and improved to score at Musselburgh 3 weeks ago, so she's preferred to Desert Illusion in what could be a tightly-knit affair. Exceed also warrants respect.

With the return to a bare 5f looking ideal, DESERT ILLUSION could well get off the mark. Consistent Exceed is second choice.

17:45 Windsor Handicap (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Big R finished second by a length and a half last time at Haydock, and he was only raised 1lb for that effort. However, a chance can be taken on SABAH AL WARD, who hasn't shown a great deal in her three runs so far but makes her first start for the George Boughey yard and, with William Buick booked on her handicap bow, she could take a big step forward. In The Giving is another to consider.

A number of these arrive with question marks against them so at the likely odds it is worth siding with SABAH AL WARD to take a sizeable step forward starting out for George Boughey on the back of breathing surgery. Recent Haydock second Big R holds obvious claims off just a 1 lb higher mark and is next on the list with My Mate Mike and Skallywag Bay both weighted to have a say too.

Sabah Al Ward is an interesting handicap debutante for a new yard but BIG R has been threatening and this could be his day.

18:00 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

BOMB SQUAD found only one rival too strong at Chepstow last time and a similar level of performance on this switch to the all-weather could suffice, with Oisin Murphy looking a shrewd booking. San Francisco Bay's mark continues to drop and Henry Candy's gelding could also have a say now returned to 7f. Martineo arrives in good fettle and the eight-year-old shouldn't be far away either.

SAN FRANCISCO BAY should strip fitter for his encouraging reappearance sixth at Chepstow and can gain an overdue victory off a career-low mark here. In-form course winner Bomb Squad could emerge as the chief threat to Henry Candy's 4-y-o, with Sirius White and Martineo appealing as the pick of the remainder for place purposes.

Top of the list is BOMB SQUAD, who went very close at Chepstow 20 days ago and is only 1lb higher on this return to AW.

18:15 Windsor Stakes (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

The Line showed plenty of promise on debut at Ascot over 5f, and he should take a step forward from that display sporting a first-time hood. However, CHIEDOZIE just shades the vote as his dam is a close relative to multiple Group 1 winner Battash and, with that in mind, he could be well up to the task on debut. Any market support for Matnookh should not be ignored.

The market will prove informative with the majority of these unraced, but THE LINE showed plenty of ability amidst greenness when third in a Royal Ascot trial last month, so he's fancied to put that experience to good use and score second time up fitted with a hood. Chiedozie, Matnookh and Sonmarg all have plenty to recommend them on paper, but the main threat may emerge from the once-raced Brave Empire.

A chance is taken on CHIEDOZIE, who is from the family of his yard's superstar sprinter Battaash.

LTO Selection:

18:30 Wolverhampton Maiden (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Although MOTHER MARGARET was no match for the useful Fakhama on her debut at Newbury in April, she looks more than capable of picking up a race of this nature and gets the vote. Beautiful Summer should have learned plenty from her opening bid at Newmarket last month and warrants consideration, while newcomers Queen Of Sparta and Cloud Cover have the pedigree to be a force at this level and any market support needs examining.

MOTHER MARGARET gets the nod on the back of her promising Newbury debut this spring. Godolphin's Beautiful Summer could leave last month's Newmarket debut behind and is second choice. Queen of Sparta and Cloud Cover are newcomers who look likely types on paper.

The vote goes to MOTHER MARGARET, who has a good pedigree and showed plenty of promise with her debut second at Newbury in April.

BUGLE BEADS makes her first start for powerful connections and she is related to a few decent winners, including Fillies' Mile heroine Crystal Music. The William Haggas yard is in fine form and it would be no surprise if this filly were to strike on debut. Lady Dreamer sets the standard with a rating of 82 and, if she can run to that level, she will likely be on the premises. Swiss Star is another interesting newcomer to watch out for.

LADY DREAMER showed promise when runner-up on both of her starts last year, so she is taken to step forward from her reappearance run and resume her progress with a tongue strap now applied. She can get off the mark this time around, with newcomers Bugle Beads and Swiss Star the pair who are feared most.

It might pay to take a chance on SWISS STAR who looks the part on paper for a stable in excellent form right now.

Secret Moment arrives off a break following a fair fifth at Chelmsford last October and is feared off 1lb lower, while Vespasian is another to note.

VESPASIAN is on a fair mark and his latest effort is best excused, so he takes preference over Twilight Madness, who shaped well for a long way at Newbury last time. Tyger Bay is another one to consider.

This can go to GOLD MEDAL, who had an excuse last time and can get back on the scoresheet to make it 3-4 for his current yard.

LTO Selection:

19:15 Windsor Handicap (Class 3) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

This represents a considerable drop in grade for Wiltshire, who finished a fair fifth behind Shouldvebeenaring in Listed company over 7f last month. However, EMINENCY gets the vote. The son of Havana Grey kept on for third in a deeper race at Newmarket most recently and a 1lb raised mark may not be enough to stop Clive Cox's inmate going in. Aunt Violet and Tough Enough add further spice to the race.

A useful 3-y-o sprint. EMINENCY arrives on the back of a good placed effort in a similarly competitive race at Newmarket and gets the vote. Spartan Arrow didn't get the chance to show what he could do on his York handicap debut and is second choice ahead of Bresson, who shaped quite well on his Goodwood reappearance.

While stall 10 isn't perfect, EMINENCY (nap) is capable of stepping up plenty on his excellent third at Newmarket.

LTO Selection:

19:30 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

In a contest lacking depth, preference is for ABERAMA GOLD, who has been eased in class following a disappointing run at Thirsk last month. He is rated 1lb lower than when beaten a head over this trip at Lingfield in March and is taken to bounce back. Brasil Power can give him most to think about on his return to the all-weather, especially given he is rated 3lb above his last winning mark. Mohi completes the shortlist dropping in distance.

The vote goes to A SURE WELCOME, who shaped better than his finishing position would suggest on return/debut for new yard at Windsor last week and he is lurking on a dangerous mark. Aberama Gold shouldn't be judged too harshly on his latest effort and he is a big player on his Doncaster second the time before. Another one likely to pose a threat is Brasil Power, who was safely held at Newmarket but he was successful here on his penultimate start and remains on a workable mark.

Cuban Breeze is greatly respected but A SURE WELCOME can build on the promise of last week's reappearance.

19:45 Windsor Handicap (Class 4) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Despite finishing a disappointing sixth at Newbury on her most recent run, WISPER can relish the return to a quicker surface and the daughter of Belardo is taken to bounce back. A game winner at Brighton on her penultimate outing, she must be respected even though she is now 5lb above that mark. Silver Gunn finished a fair third over C&D last month and can give the selection plenty to think about, while Farasi Lane completes the shortlist.

WISPER is a consistent type with plenty of talent and, if the pace is sound, she can add another C&D success to her tally. Tuxedo Junction and Farasi Lane look the main dangers.

Silver Gunn ran well on last week's return but YOUTHFUL KING may be sharper for his reappearance and could enjoy the run of things.

LTO Selection:

20:00 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

DANZART looks a solid contender based on the pick of his turf form and Stella Barclay's five-year-old must be of significant interest in his bid to land a hat-trick of victories. He has to shoulder a 5lb penalty following a comfortable success at Redcar last Monday, but should not be dismissed, especially when considering the booking of Oisin Murphy. Billian remains 3lb above his last winning mark but is still feared, along with recent 5f runner-up Tantastic.

DANZART is thriving at present so Stella Barclay's 5-y-o is taken to complete the hat-trick under a penalty with Oisin Murphy on board for the first time. May Remain had his winning run ended over C&D last time, but he's holding his form well so he can give the selection most to think about, ahead of Billian and Dark Design.

Stella Barclay's resurgent hat-trick seeker DANZART is a major player again if he can transfer his form back to AW.

(11) Vertical 8/1, Best effort yet when fourth of 13 back up in trip at Brighton (1¼m, good) last time. 1 lb lower now and while it remains to be seen whether the additional increase in distance here will be in her favour, she could have a say if able to build on that effort.

20:15 Windsor Handicap (Class 6) 11f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Molliana has been consistent under both codes and is reliable enough to warrant shortlist inclusion. Similar comments apply to Blazer Two, who looked refreshed up by a break when he made all to win an apprentice race at Leicester last week. He escapes a penalty and is respected off the same mark. However, recent Lingfield winner GEARING'S POINT, who ran a blinder when third over 1m2f here a fortnight ago, is much more appealing.

BLAZER TWO appeared to relish the switch to front-running tactics when striking at Leicester last week and, unpenalised for that, he will take plenty of stopping. Clear second choice is Gearing's Point, who backed up her reappearance success on the all-weather when going down all guns blazing here recently. Pure Bubbles has a bit to prove but it will be interesting to see if support arrives for this 5-y-o, given that he resumes on a much-reduced mark and has the assistance of William Buick.

Not a strong race and it could pay to risk PURE BUBBLES, who has strong form credentials if you go back far enough.

LTO Selection:

20:30 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Steel Helmet was just out of the handicap when he won over 1m6f here last month and the gelding is respected despite stepping up in trip and racing off a 3lb higher mark. However, ALL ABOUT ALICE is open to more improvement over this distance and earns a narrow vote of confidence given she looks handily weighted on her debut for new connections. Reset Button and Chef De Troupe are others for the shortlist.

ALL ABOUT ALICE has been running well upped to around 2m this year, pulling clear of the remainder when runner-up at Kempton last time, and she can get back to winning ways on her first start for Dylan Cunha. Steel Helmet also arrives in good form having won at this course on his latest outing, so he could be the main danger ahead of Reset Button.

Preference is for STEEL HELMET, who got back on the scoresheet here last month and a 3lb rise for that success looks fair.

LTO Selection:

20:45 Windsor Handicap (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

GREG THE GREAT represents a yard riding the crest of a wave and this gelding can do his bit to boost the coffers, if he builds on what was a promising effort in an apprentice race over 1m at Newbury 17 days ago. The handicapper has left him unchanged and another big run can be expected. Raqraaq is noteworthy switched to turf and joins Havana Goldrush and Grand Libya on the shortlist.

Preference is for GREG THE GREAT, who looks nicely treated and got back to his best at Newbury last month. Raqraaq and Grand LIbya head the list of dangers in a tricky-looking finale.

He's a veteran who has seen better days, but CLIFFS OF CAPRI is handicapped to win again and ran really well the last time.

21:00 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

ISLE OF WOLVES is back on an attractive mark and, having gone close the last time he raced over C&D, he has a fair amount going for him with blinkers applied. He responded well in cheekpieces on the all-weather earlier in the year and the return of headgear (omitted last time out) might well work the oracle. Further Measure and Harmonious are feared most among the opposition.

FURTHER MEASURE has been given a chance by the handicapper and signalled a return to form at Bath last time. He gets the nod in an open-looking finale. Sarkha and Isle of Wolves rate the principal dangers.

Iconique has more going for her now moved away from soft ground but SARKHA (nap) can improve on his recent win now back over 1m4f.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses.
