In a race full of unknown quantities, it could pay to side with the twice-raced RAJETERIAT. The form of his recent third over 5f at Beverley is working out well and the son of Mehmas can open his account here. Art Market is surely capable of better than he showed on his debut and a big step forward from William Haggas' charge should not be ruled out. Backspin and Siegen also enter calculations in what should be an informative contest.

The betting should reveal plenty here but RAJETERIAT possesses the best form on offer and still looked green when third at Beverley last time so gets the vote. Tom Ward's Mohaather filly Skellig Isle is bred to be above-average so could emerge as the main danger ahead of Siegen, Hucklesbrook and Backspin.

Rajeteriat spoiled his finishing effort by hanging last time. SIEGEN is preferred, ahead of Hucklesbrook.

RED MIRAGE has failed to fire on his two starts since winning over 7f at Catterick in April, but the booking of Patrick Mullins catches the eye and he can be given another chance in a race of this nature. Outrun The Storm is another with strong form claims, while On A Session edges out Spioradalta and Maxi Boy to be best of the rest.

Having enhanced his excellent record when fresh at Catterick in April, RED MIRAGE hasn't quite scaled the same heights in 2 subsequent outings but he remains on a workable mark on the pick of his form and with Patrick Mullins a very eye-catching booking, he looks a big player from a handy draw. Outrun The Storm, Spioradalta in refitted cheekpieces and On A Session head up the dangers.

Richard Fahey's in-form front-runner OUTRUN THE STORM is taken to resume winning ways from his ideal draw. Red Mirage is next best.

In what looks a wide-open affair, HECTIC can get his supporters off to a flyer. He was last seen finishing third in a warm handicap over 7f at Doncaster earlier this month and, off an unchanged mark, another bold bid from this habitual prominent racer is expected. Cori Glory scored comfortably on her reappearance over 7f at Catterick last month and she can emerge as the main danger upped 6lb. Yaaser and Riot are a couple of others who merit respect.

The really interesting one here is JUSTCALLMEPETE, who lurks on a very dangerous turf mark and got no luck at Newbury last time. The return to 7f will suit so he's awarded the vote in favour of Riot, Gincident and Feel The Need.

Feel The Need and RIOT both won big-field C&D handicaps here last month and the latter can come out on top this time.
Class & Speed Card

MARY OF MODENA teed herself up for a tilt at this when finishing an excellent second over 5f at Windsor on her reappearance in April and, nudged up 2lb, she gets the vote to go one place better. Recent Doncaster runner-up Brave Nation was doing his best work in the closing stages on that occasion and he should be running on when others have cried enough, while Acklam Express' mark continues to fall and he commands respect too.

FANTASY MASTER shaped well at Nottingham last week, faring best of those to race prominently, and is handicapped to win, so he could be the answer from stall 2. Good cases can be made for many others in a hot race though, chief among them last year's winner Lil Guff, Jenever, and the classy pair Atalanta's Boy and Acklam Express, who are potentially thrown-in.

Acklam Express is greatly respected but JENEVER has been threatening better and this stiff 5f should be ideal for him.

ANGEL'S CALL was far from disgraced when filling fifth place in a competitive event at Ascot on his handicap debut last month, and that form gives him a big chance here off a 1lb lower mark. Onigiri showed more on her return to the UK at Lingfield last time and should not be underestimated, while Macanudo and Cool Run also merit places on the shortlist.

QUIET RESOLVE didn't quite meet up to expectations at York on his latest outing 3 weeks ago but he remains sufficiently lightly raced to think he could yet do better and, returned to sprinting/equipped with first-time cheekpieces, he earns the vote to make full use of his handy draw and come out on top. Macanudo and Onigiri are others to consider, whilst Old Chums, despite a wide draw, would be a danger to all if getting loose on the front end.

It might be worth siding with MACANUDO, who takes a big drop back in grade and is well handicapped if he can rediscover his spark.
Class & Speed Card

MRBLUESKY shaped with more promise than the bare result suggests when finishing fifth on his debut over 5f at Redcar last month, becoming outpaced before running on well when the penny dropped. Now stepping up in trip for the in-form Richard Fahey team, he gets the vote to score. I Love Dad made a pleasing start when finishing third over 5f at Goodwood last Sunday and he is respected with improvement forthcoming, while last-time-out winner Isla Bella completes the shortlist.

The vote goes to ISLA BELLA, who left her debut effort behind when striking at Brighton and she probably has more to offer. I Love Dad didn't shape at all badly in a Goodwood seller recently and he is entitled to come on for that, while Rex Carver needs considering, for all that he appeared to take a backward step at Carlisle. Lucky Lottery is not without each-way hope.

Both Bungle Reigns and MRBLUESKY can leave their debut form behind now upped to 6f.

On paper, there is lots to like about 1,000,000gns breeze-up purchase ROYAL OFFICER and this son of Galileo can get off the mark at the first time of asking for the in-form Charlie Appleby stable. Wathnan Racing have shown their appetite for first-time-out winners in recent weeks and a bold bid from their son of Too Darn Hot, Consolidation, would come as no surprise. Attack and Aegean Sea are a couple of others worthy of consideration.

ROYAL OFFICER fetched 1 million at the Craven Breeze-Up sales, the most expensive horse at the auction, and is hard to get away from first time up. The betting will obviously be informative, with Consolidation, another who fetched a tidy sum at Newmarket, interesting on debut. Attack has strong claims having shaped promisingly at Yarmouth and looking sure to improve.

The shortlist comprises the very interesting newcomers ROYAL OFFICER and Consolidation, along with form pick Attack.
Class & Speed Card

DUKES OF HAATHER has improved with every start to date and his latest third at Newmarket last month suggests that he could be very hard to beat at this level. Oasis Sunrise showed ability when fourth on her racecourse bow at Chelmsford recently and she could prove to be the main threat. That said, Almanjoor, Whiskey Glasses and Camden Flyer should not be discounted.

DUKES OF HAATHER improved as expected in line with the step up in trip when third at Newmarket (6f) and, with this even longer trip promising to be within range on that evidence, he can get off the mark at the fourth attempt. Oasis Sunrise and Whiskey Glasses are others to consider, with Almanjoor not one to be giving up on just yet.

Preference is for the proven form of DUKES OF HAATHER, who can take advantage of a drop in class.
Class & Speed Card

JUMBEAU was sporting first-time cheekpieces (retained) when getting the better of a useful sort over 5f at Windsor last month and, upped 4lb, she could be a force to be reckoned with in sprint handicaps this season. Katey Kontent came with a wet sail to lead in the dying strides over 6f at Windsor latest and another bold bid can be expected. Punters seeking an unexposed sprinter will surely look to Midream, who makes her handicap debut on the back of a solid third in Listed company.

A few with chances but Craig Lidster's ALFA KELLENIC scored with something in hand at Thirsk last time and still looks ahead of her mark under a 6 lb penalty so is taken to complete her hat-trick. Katey Kontent is feared most on the back of her Windsor success, although a solid case can also be made for Star of Lady M, Thursday's Child and Apeeling in this competitive handicap.

Last month's Windsor winners Katey Kontent and JUMBEAU (nap), who responded well to cheekpieces last time, appeal most.

Being drawn widest of all might not be ideal for CRYSTAL MARINER but he can still be given a chance. Third in behind an improver on his reappearance at Chester last month, Sir Michael Stoute's charge is open to further progress himself and appears to hold strong claims off an unchanged mark. Another unexposed type Prince Maxi was a promising fourth at Newbury off this mark in April and could have a say, while dual C&D winner Sweet Reward is noted too.

C&D scorer GALLANT LION can race off the same mark as when an encouraging Newbury sixth so is fancied to open his account for his current yard. Crystal Mariner looks to have better days ahead of him and heads the list of dangers, with Born Ruler also firmly in the picture. Wisper completes the shortlist.

The percentage call goes to GALLANT LION, ahead of Born Ruler and Crystal Mariner.
Class & Speed Card

REBAATT took an expected step forward for his first foray into handicap company, being beaten just half a length into second at Newmarket. The winner has gone in again since, so a 2lb rise may underestimate the merit of William Haggas' three-year-old's performance. Amancio has been so reliable this year and should run another honest race, although Hutchence might be a bigger threat, with an opening mark of 76 not unduly harsh for the expensive son of Frankel.

There has to be a good chance that AMANCIO has been let in lightly here from an unchanged mark having found only a big improver too strong at Haydock 3 weeks ago (pair a long way clear). The selection may have most to fear from Rebaatt and Hutchence, an improving pair representing leading stables.

This can go to the unexposed REBAATT (nap), who went close behind a subsequent winner on his handicap debut at Newmarket last month.
Class & Speed Card

Although RIVER SEINE disappointed when sent off as favourite at Carlisle last time out, she finished ahead of the reopposing Baileys Jubilation in a warm Newmarket novice on her debut. The Soldier's Call filly has shown great speed on her two starts so far and this flat track will play to her strengths. The latter, who finished a creditable fifth in the Marygate last month, is an obvious threat. Sunshine Soul was second to a potentially useful type at Nottingham on debut and must also enter calculations.

SUNSHINE SOUL impressed with how she travelled when a promising second on debut at Nottingham 9 days ago and, very much the type to improve for that initial experience, she earns the vote to take a step forward and come out on top. Baileys Jubilation and River Seine both have a little more experience than the selection and can also feature.

River Seine was in front of BAILEYS JUBILATION on debut but the placings may be reversed this afternoon.
Class & Speed Card

An opening mark of 82 doesn't look beyond GAMES PEOPLE PLAY based on what she achieved across her three qualifying runs, and Ralph Beckett's filly receives a tentative vote in what looks a fairly open heat. Crimson Road, who struck off a 7lb lower mark at Lingfield last time out, holds obvious claims once again, along with Devoirs Choice, who appeared to relish a step up to 10 furlongs when occupying the runner-up spot at Haydock recently.

This looks wide open. DEVOIRS CHOICE rates the pick of the weights on the back of his excellent recent Haydock second so edges the verdict. Handicap-debutants Games People Play and Travolta both appeal as likely improvers though and merit serious consideration. Ravenswell is another who can have a say in an intriguing contest.

Several runners have interesting claims. First choice is TRAVOLTA (nap), ahead of Devoirs Choice.
Class & Speed Card

Vellner lost little in defeat on his runner-up effort behind a progressive rival at Hamilton last month and he must enter calculations off only 3lb higher in the ratings. However, this drop in trip by a furlong may leave the five-year-old vulnerable and DARBUCKS makes most appeal. Christopher Kellett's charge arrives on the back of two close-up seconds and he's fancied to take advantage of a plum draw. Further progress cannot be ruled out from last-time-out winner Indie Skies, either.

DARBUCKS really does deserve to snap his losing sequence, doing little wrong again when second at Carlisle a fortnight ago, and stall 1 at this track could be just the tonic. Indie Skies may have more to offer for Mick Appleby so he's a threat, along with Wake Up Harry.

Mick Appleby's new recruit INDIE SKIES overcame a poor draw to make a winning debut at Kempton (form been franked) and can follow up.
Class & Speed Card

REACH made a pleasing return to action when filling the frame over C&D last month. A progressive sort during her five-year-old campaign, the Sea The Stars mare can build on that reappearance run before perhaps attempting to double up in the John Smith's Cup next month. Penzance came up just short when looking to complete a five-timer at Newcastle in March but further progress isn't out of the question, while others to note include Oviedo, Scampi and Arthur's Realm.

GODWINSON can't have been himself at Newbury last time and is worth another chance to confirm the promise of his reappearance effort at the same Berkshire venue. Machete caught the eye when fourth in the Zetland Gold Cup at Redcar on his first start for David O'Meara and is second choice ahead of Reach, a good third over C&D at the Dante meeting, and Penzance.

Any rain to fall will improve the chance of MACHETE who looks interesting off this mark on his old French form.
Class & Speed Card

DIVINE BREATH made a mockery of her mark when stepping back up to this trip at Chelmsford last time, and a 6lb penalty still leaves her very well treated in what is admittedly a much more competitive race. She looks the one to side with, but State Flag could have plenty more to come after getting off the mark at Lingfield last month and an opening mark of 75 doesn't look beyond Tom Ward's filly. Lunar Streets wasn't beaten that far on her reappearance last time and she should do better with that run under her belt.

DIVINE BREATH gets out under a penalty before a 15 lb rise for last week's easy Chelmsford success kicks in and she'll be tough to beat if in a similar mood. Sunfall can have a line put through her Newmarket handicap debut run and looks second best ahead of Zipster.

Divine Breath has to be feared but likely improver LADY FLORA is an interesting alternative. State Flag is also respected.
Class & Speed Card

Having stayed on late to snatch second close home over 5f at Cork last month, FIERY LUCY should appreciate the additional furlong. Making her racecourse debut on that occasion, the Gavin Cromwell-trained filly always raced prominently before finding plenty for pressure. With the benefit of that experience, the daughter of Without Parole holds leading claims. Lethimfly, less than half a length back in fourth in that aforementioned race, should again make his presence felt. The Noel Meade-trained colt is one of the more experienced runners here, having his third outing. The Natalia Lupini-trained Saint Brandon, a well-bred colt related to multiple winners, looks one of the more interesting debutants.

FIERY LUCY shaped really well on debut at Cork, coming out second best in a 4-way finish, and seems sure to improve. She gets the vote in this big-field sales maiden. Gloriously Glam has more to offer also and is a big player. The Road Is Long heads up a host of interesting newcomers.

The manner in which FIERY LUCY (nap) finished off her debut run at Cork suggests she'll relish this step up in trip
Class & Speed Card

Although he's been handed the widest draw of all, MR SQUIRES could hardly have been more impressive when winning over 7f at Wolverhampton last time and a 5lb penalty shouldn't stop him if turning up here in similar form. Star Shield was a close second at Ripon last week and he should go close again from stall two, while Daisy Roots has been running consistently well in defeat of late and she looks to have solid place claims.

DAISY ROOTS has been knocking very loudly on the door of late, runner-up on her last 3 outings and that elusive third win may well be forthcoming. Mr Squires and Star Shield also arrive in excellent order and head the opposition.

Lots with chances but Adam West's likeable filly DAISY ROOTS is taken to end a run of second placings and gain a deserved success here.
Class & Speed Card

The unexposed ARCTIC MOUNTAIN is 6lb well-in under a 5lb penalty for scoring at Lingfield six days ago and, should the relatively quick turnaround be no issue, he's taken to repeat the dose. Pol Roger completed a double at Ayr last month and there might be more to come over this trip. That said, there ought to be plenty of pace on offer which could help a closer such as Shifter, who attempts to land a hat-trick following last month's Redcar triumph.

ARCTIC MOUNTAIN improved and created a good impression when scoring at Lingfield 6 days ago so, if the race doesn't come too soon, he's capable of defying a penalty in first-time cheekpieces. Pol Roger and Life On The Rocks are other last-time-out winners who arrive on the up, and both are likely to be involved.

This is highly competitive but the vote goes to ARCTIC MOUNTAIN, who is well treated under a penalty for his Lingfield win last week.
Class & Speed Card

The market should be watched closely, with very little meaningful form to go on. Donnacha O'Brien has won this race for the last two years in a row and saddles interesting debutant SAY YES TO DREAMS. The Siyouni bay is a sister to Louise Procter, who was sent off favourite in the French 1000 Guineas on her most recent start but finished down the field. Wayne Lordan has guided three Aidan O'Brien-trained debutants to victory in the last eight days and the pair are represented by Sweet Chariot. Out of Group 1 winner Clemmie, the Wootton Bassett filly is sure to give a good account of herself. The Paddy Twomey-trained Wild Rover Lady is of definite interest. A 98,000 euro purchase at the Goffs Orby Sale, she is out of a sister to Telescope. Bought for 150,000 euro as a yearling, Amazing Athea is another for the shortlist, along with fellow newcomers Dandy Khan, Mood Altering and Babouche.

This can go to a newcomer and the superbly-bred SWEET CHARIOT can give Aidan O'Brien and Wayne Lordan another first-time-up winner with the pair having had 3 in the last week. Babouche and Wild Rover Lady are a couple of others to consider before betting clues.

Newcomers could dominate here and SWEET CHARIOT, by Wootton Bassett out of Cheveley Park winner Clemmie may prove the pick.
Class & Speed Card

Cock And Bull ran another cracker when narrowly beaten at Wolverhampton last time, but a 5lb rise for that does temper enthusiasm slightly and it might be worth chancing ALLONSY to get off the mark at the sixth time of asking. Ralph Beckett's filly has run well in defeat on a few occasions and she looks ready for this step up in trip. Night Horn has struggled to land a blow on his four starts to date, but Andrew Balding's colt is bred to do better and he's another who could step forward for this stiffer test of stamina.

ARCH LEGEND has been freshened up since his Chester no show and is taken to resume his progression. Allonsy can give Mark/Charlie Johnston's charge most to think about.

This could turn messy but, tactics aside, ALLONSY gets the vote now sent over a trip that she appears to be crying out for.
Class & Speed Card

Cork maiden winner GRAND CITY HALL can make the breakthrough in handicap company. A fair fourth in a stronger race at the Curragh last time, the Jarlath Fahey-trained gelding only weakened inside the final furlong. Dropping back to 6f looks to be very much in his favour now, while Jack Cleary claims a valuable 7lb. Well drawn three off the rail, everything looks in place for a big run. Recent C&D winner National Lady won't find life easy from a wide draw, but the Ger Lyons-trained filly was impressive last time and looks to be an improving three-year-old. Clonmacash needs to step up on recent efforts, but the application of a first-time visor may bring about further improvement.

LOUISECALL looked a natural back in trip when third at Listowel 12 days ago and on that evidence, he's capable of winning a handicap from his current mark. This is competitive though, with National Lady and Glamorously a couple of potential threats.

Recent C&D maiden winner NATIONAL LADY begins her handicap campaign on a decent-looking mark and gets the vote

A competitive race in which plenty have chances, so only a tentative vote can go to TREASURE TIME, who can progress now sent handicapping off a seemingly workable opening mark of 77. Mai Dubai shaped as if he may improve for his return at Newmarket last month and he could do better with that outing under his belt, while Operate is another runner who needs to bounce back from a disappointing effort last time but he looks capable of getting involved from stall one.

BULMER BANK ran well when third from off a strong pace at York 3 weeks ago and gets the vote from the same mark with a similar scenario likely to unfold here. Treasure Time is a likely improver now handicapping and is a danger, while Native King is also interesting now pitched into a handicap by his new local trainer.

Plenty have possibilities but the vote goes to BULMER BANK after an eyecatching run at York three weeks ago.
Class & Speed Card

Lightly-raced five-year-old FINN LOUGH has plenty of scope for progression and after his respectable second-placed finish on his handicap debut/first run after wind surgery at Stratford, a 4lb higher mark might not be enough to prevent him from going one better. Uttoxeter winner McGowan's Pass is capable of making this a tougher test for the selection, while Lone Star and Jaxonne are a couple of other strong contenders in this company.

FINN LOUGH appeals as the sort to really kick on now he's gone handicapping and he can build on his excellent Stratford runner-up effort and go one better. Jaxonne also looks to have better days ahead of him and rates a big threat now he is away from the mud after his strong-travelling Southwell second. Could Be Trouble, Lone Star and Spot On Soph are others to consider in a competitive handicap.

Last-time handicap newcomers QUEEN ANTOINETTE (lowest mileage) and Finn Lough (longer trip) are taken to improve further.

Eddie Lynam holds a strong hand, saddling both DESERT POWER and Beatrix Power. Marginal preference is for the former with Ben Coen aboard. Out of three-time winner Miss Power, the selection ran a race full of promise on debut at Navan last month, coming home strongly to finish a never-nearer second. Beatrix Power is the highest rated of those with a mark and is a sister to seven-time winner Collective Power (runs in the next). The 80-rated bay was a solid third at the Curragh recently and it'll come as no surprise if she manages to go a few places better now. Placed twice from four starts, Pansy Poe is likely to have plenty of supporters, while others of interest are Zara Ellis and Abiding Star.

Eddie Lynam looks to hold a strong hand here with DESERT POWER and Beatrix Power. The former shaped with plenty of encouragement when runner-up on debut behind one who finished second in much stronger company next time and just about shades the vote. Abiding Star and Pansy Poe are others to consider.

Both Lynam-trained runners can be rated likely maiden winners. The once-raced DESERT POWER may have the measure of Beatrix Power

LIGHTNING FORCE came within a whisker of making a successful start to her career at Kempton, pipped by a filly who went on to make the frame in the Hilary Needler. Ollie Sangster's youngster should step forward appreciably and can gain compensation for that near-miss. Mapledurham may not have quite matched the level of her Newbury debut when sixth at Leicester but is still a force to be reckoned with, as is Alerta Maxima, who caught the eye here. Alondra isn't out of it either.

LIGHTNING FORCE made a highly encouraging start when runner-up at Kempton last month and might not need to improve to go one better for all that there are some interesting newcomers in opposition, notably Mollie Foster. Alerta Maxima is a definite player on the back of a promising start over C&D.

With her Kempton debut second given a boost last weekend, LIGHTNING FORCE is taken to see off Alerta Maxima and Dollyana.

Things haven't gone to plan for SEEYOUINMYDREAMS since her costly purchase from the pointing field and sparkling bumper debut at Newbury in March 2023, but she showed there is still time to fulfil her potential when toying with the opposition on her Fakenham comeback. The victory will have boosted her confidence and she can take the next step back up the ladder. Parkin Fine was an equally facile winner last time, thanks in no small part to the odds-on favourite pulling up. She is still a danger, although the consistent Hard As Nails might be a bigger threat.

SEEYOUINMYDREAMS doesn't have a totally convincing profile, but she settled a little better with a hood fitted when an easy winner at Fakenham, and with this drop back in trip likely to help if anything, she can follow up. Fellow last-time-out winners Parkin Fine and Hard As Nails are the obvious threats.

The clear pick on form is SEEYOUINMYDREAMS, who proved her wellbeing emphatically last time and is taken to follow up.

The John Nallen-trained MERCURIAL looks well drawn to make a bold bid from the front here. Rated in the mid-80's when trained in Britain, the five-year-old should still have a bit in hand off a mark of 77. Robert Whearty, who was in the saddle when the gelding won at the Curragh last time, also claims a valuable 5lb. Heavenly Power was well beaten in that Curragh race, but ran much better in a premier handicap at that same venue subsequently. The Eddie Lynam-trained gelding should be at his peak now after two recent outings. C&D winner Apache Outlaw is another with claims in what is a competitive handicap, despite the small field.

A case of sorts can be made for most of these, with APACHE OUTLAW just about the most persuasive dropped in class. Mercurial was better than ever last time so is second choice, ahead of Rathbranchchurch.

Second to a well-handicapped winner at the Curragh RATHBRANCHURCH can gain a deserved second career win

Happy Place is in the right hands to make progress now she has switched codes and is one to monitor closely in the betting on her debut for Dan Skelton. Similar comments apply to Smooth Transition and Trafalgar Square. However, just a nose separated On The Bubble and KAARESS at Hexham 13 days ago and although the former edged the verdict that day, Ollie Pears' filly has a 7lb pull at the weights and can draw on the experience to turn the form around.

A chance is taken on Dan Skelton hurdle debutante HAPPY PLACE, who was placed on the Flat last year for her previous stable. Smooth Transition and Tactical Control are other likely types among the hurdle newcomers, while Kaaress may prove best of the 4 who contested the opening juvenile hurdle of the season at Hexham at the start of the month.

Ollie Pears usually has his well schooled, so it was surprising to see KAARESS novicey at Hexham. She rates as the tentative selection.

SEVENSEES really put his rivals to the sword at Tipperary last month and despite an 11lb rise, he looks capable of following up. The Sea The Moon four-year-old appears to be as his best over the minimum trip and will again be ridden by young apprentice Rory Mulligan who claims a valuable 7lb. Collective Power and Jered Maddox have won 16 races between them and will undoubtedly have their supporters. The former has a course win to his name, while the latter is bidding to complete a hat-trick, with his last two victories coming at Dundalk. David Marnane trains Jered Maddox and is also represented by Alpha Cephei. While a notoriously slow starter, he is tried in a visor for the first time now and it'll be interesting to see how he fares. Curragh maiden winner Ostraka appears the most interesting of the remainder, as she starts off for Danny Murphy.

SEVENSEES was much improved when easily accounting for Sporting Hero at Tipperary 17 days ago and can confirm his superiority over Denis Hogan's charge. The Billy Lee-ridden Collective Power may prove best of the rest.

Better ground should help former British-trained AW winner SPORTING HERO in his bid to reverse Tipperary form with Sevensees

Geliceaux responded well to George Downing's urgings to make a successful handicap debut at Salisbury and has every chance of following up off a 4lb higher mark. However, MYNA went out on her shield on her own handicap bow, going down by just a short head at Newbury, and that form may be slightly stronger. Papagei wasn't far away in sixth and could close the gap while, of the handicap newcomers this time, Toronto Raptor might be worth a look with cheekpieces applied.

MYNA was just touched off upped to this trip on his reappearance/handicap debut at Newbury and, with the likelihood of better to come, he is taken to go one better here. Geliceaux also improved on her first run over this trip/in handicap company when scoring at Salisbury and she looks a big threat. Papagei is shortlisted, too, while Breckenridge and Fram Castle both bring potential to the table now venturing down the handicap route.

Having gone down narrowly on his return from wind surgery, MYNA gets the nod upped a fair 3lb. Geliceaux is feared most.

WAR LORD had been on something of a downward spiral since making the frame in the Haldon Gold Cup, but last week's third over hurdles here will have helped get him back on track and he can build on that now reverting to fences. Sacre Coeur didn't show her true colours at Bangor, but is now back to the mark of her previous Cheltenham second. Issuing Authority is also better than he showed on his latest appearance, while Kauto The King returned with a pleasing Hereford performance. Matterhorn is an obvious contender if turning up after Thursday's Worcester engagement.

WAR LORD has tumbled down the weights and, judged on his recent effort over hurdles here, he looks ready to take advantage of the handicapper's assistance. No Getaway could be the main danger, though Sacre Coeur could make a bold bid from the front and the selection's stablemate Kauto The King will also have a chance if on a 'going' day.

Four-time course winner KAUTO THE KING has slipped to an attractive mark and ran well in defeat last month, after a break.

Runner-up over C&D last month, AURORA NOVA can go one better now. The Andrew McNamara-trained mare didn't get the clearest of passages on the inside rail on that occasion, so being drawn wider in stall 14 may actually work to her advantage. Sligo claimer winner Eruption reverted to handicap company with a solid second at Navan recently. Matthew Smith has his dual-purpose string in excellent form at the present time, so another big run would be no surprise. Layoftheland has a wide draw to overcome, but has been running solidly in this grade of late. She has to hold every chance for rookie trainer Sean Davis.

SHOEBOX KING signalled he is ready to end his losing run when a very good fourth at Tipperary last time out and can capitalise on a 2 lb lower mark here. Eruption could emerge as the main danger on the back of her good Navan second, with Aurora Nova, Layoftheland and Havana Notion also in the mix.

ERUPTION has been improving steadily of late on decent ground and could have another one in her now back to 6f

Ryan Mania and LEADING FORCE teamed up for a comfortable success at Sedgefield last month and, from just 5lb higher, there are solid foundations to stick with the proven winning partnership. Hall Lane is shaping up nicely over fences and rates the chief threat to the selection given he has previous C&D experience. Fazayte is 3-7 in this discipline and is dangerous to underestimate from just 4lb above his last winning mark.

FAZAYTE signalled he's ready to go in again when an excellent recent Stratford third so this course winner looks the way to go. Sedgefield-victor Leading Force is feared most despite taking a 5 lb rise for that success, although both Hall Lane and Tupelo Mississippi can have a say too in a competitive handicap.

This looks a suitable opportunity for the Sedgefield scorer LEADING FORCE (nap) to add to his tally for an in-form Sandy Thomson.

Held in high regard by her trainer Andy Slattery, dual course winner EASY might be able to take this competitive heat. Out of action for over a year and a half, the Kodiac four-year-old impressed when successful on her return, with Slattery commenting in the aftermath: "If I have a Group 1 horse, this is it." UK raider Clarendon House is the highest-rated runner in the line-up and is sure to have plenty of supporters with Colin Keane aboard. The eight-time winner lost all chance when very slow out of the stalls in the Epsom Dash on his most recent start, but was successful the time before that at York. First and second 12-months ago, Go Athletico and Ano Syra again do battle, with the latter an excellent third in a Group 3 at the Curragh on her latest outing. A close-up second and third in a Listed contest at Naas last month, Twilight Jet and So Majestic are others that warrant respect.

Having run out an impressive winner at York's Dante Meeting on his penultimate start, CLARENDON HOUSE gave himself no chance following a very slow start when last of 14 in the Dash at Epsom 2 weeks ago. He gets the tentative vote in the hope that blip was a one-off. Ano Syra and last year's winner Go Athletico head up the dangers, with low-mileage filly Easy another to keep on side this term.

There could be more improvement to come from EASY who shrugged off the effects of a long absence with a Listed 6f win here in March

MILLER SPIRIT doesn't look the most straightforward, but he was still good enough to spring a bit of a surprise over 1m4f here last week and the four-year-old escapes a penalty so can capitalise on being 3lb well-in. Clan Chieftain put an ordinary comeback behind him when finding only one too strong at Salisbury and heads the dangers. He is joined on that list by Bath scorer Enochdhu, who will appreciate any rain, and the reliable Turner Girl.

CLAN CHIEFTAIN is feasibly treated and bounced back in no uncertain terms at Salisbury last time, so he's capable of going one better if in the same form. Turner Girl remains of interest and Enochdhu deserves respect after scoring at Bath.

Miller Spirit has fair claims of giving his yard a hat-trick in this race but preference is for the lightly raced CLAN CHIEFTAIN.

James Owen hasn't taken too long to work some magic with MERMAIDS CAVE, who numbered Tour Ovalie and Carrigeen Kampala among her victims when completing a hat-trick at Cartmel. The five-year-old is open to even more improvement and is worth sticking with. Grivetana justified favouritism at Southwell on her first start for Harry Derham and is a big danger, while Pop The Champagne's Warwick second suggested that her turn is imminent again.

Having caught the eye on her recent reappearance at this course, KARANNELLE could be the answer. She should be spot-on with that run under her belt, she's on a good mark and clearly goes well round here. Grivetana is a much-respected main danger following her successful debut for this yard at Southwell, while Mermaids Cave has to be taken seriously in her bid for the four-timer.

Harry Derham's GRIVETANA (nap) looked revitalised on last month's stable debut and can follow up off today's 4lb higher mark.

Although a beaten favourite in a premier handicap at Cork when last seen, the Ger Lyons-trained JANOOBI should appreciate this slightly easier assignment. A promising sort earlier in his career, the five-year-old overcame a long absence when making a winning reappearance at Naas in March. He may not have been at his best on his second run back but can show his true ability here. Democracy was disappointing on his seasonal return at the Curragh last month, but looks favourably treated by these weights. With Jack Cleary taking off an additional 7lb, he has to be involved. Gleneagle Bay was impressive at Dundalk before running below par at Listowel. He deserves a chance to prove that wasn't his true form.

Ger Lyons has his string in good nick and his JANOOBI rates a cut above these on form so is a confident choice to quickly get back to winning ways on the back of a solid Cork sixth. Democracy appeals as the one to chase him home ahead of Something Nice.

On paper this looks a good spot for JANOOBI who, according to the handicapper, has 10lb in hand of Gleneagle Bay at these terms

ITTACK BLUE made every yard to justify his short odds and record a double over track and trip last month and he now makes his handicap debut. Dan Skelton's six-year-old could have any amount of improvement to come and he looks difficult to oppose. Chaos Control wasn't disgraced in fourth in a class 3 event over an extended 2m4f here on the same card and he could get involved off a 2lb lower rating, while Parvos can fight it out for the minor honours.

The class-dropping CASTEL GANDOLFO is back on the mark he defied at Kelso at a similar time last year and might be worth siding with to deny Dan Skelton handicap newcomer Ittack Blue a third successive C&D win.

This is easier than the Class 2 C&D handicaps in which CASTEL GANDOLFO's record reads 2242. He's favoured ahead of Chaos Control.

A runner-up over the course and distance in the Noblesse, SUMIHA might be able to reverse the form with Thunder Roll. Just half-a-length separated the pair in that Listed contest, with the selection finishing fast after meeting with some trouble in running. The Dermot Weld-trained four-year-old again filled the runner-up spot on her most recent outing at the Curragh and would be a deserving winner of this Group 3 prize. Third, seventh and eleventh in the Noblesse, Trevaunance, Joupe and Derida all return to the Mallow venue, with the latter, who won a Listed race in France, fitted with a tongue strap for the first time. Getting a weight allowance on account of her age, Greenfinch is another leading hope. A fine fourth in Group 3 company at Leopardstown when last seen, she finished ahead of three subsequent winners and taking a significant step-up in trip now, it'll be interesting to see how she fares.

The score is one apiece in the head-to-head between SUMIHA and Thunder Roll, and it was again just half-a-length that seperated them when the latter emerged on top in a C&D listed race in April. Thunder Roll is actually 3 lb better off with the runner-up now but the Dermot Weld-trained filly took another step forward when again finding one too good at the Curragh since and she remains capable of better still. The 3-y-o Greenfinch and Trevaunance also need considering.

Unlucky when beaten 1l by Thunder Roll over C&D in April, SUMIHA was since runner-up at the Curragh and can go one better today.

Cypriot Diaspora was denied by a head into second in heavy conditions at Leicester on her latest outing and she should go well off a 2lb higher mark. However, the vote goes to HILLTOP, who finished third behind Gogo Yubari (winner) two starts ago at Wolverhampton, but she is 3lb better off with that rival. The daughter of New Bay arguably didn't enjoy the track at Salisbury when well-held in fifth last time and can put that effort behind her to shed the maiden tag. Imola warrants a market check on her handicap debut.

CYPRIOT DIASPORA upped her game when second at Leicester recently and a performance of similar merit would probably be enough to land this unless Imola takes a step forward for the switch to handicapping. Gogo Yubari is also in good order, so shouldn't be dismissed for all that she'd need to improve to overhaul the selection.

Lyraisa is considered but the keen-going HILLTOP is clearly felt capable off this mark and gets the nod.

BROOMFIELDS CAVE should have learned plenty from his chase bow when runner-up at Southwell last month and compensation could await racing off the same mark. The Neil Mulholland-trained gelding looks sure to pick up a race of this nature sooner or later and he's taken to fend off Langley Hundred. Having finished a close-up second over C&D recently, the seven-year-old is effectively 3lb well-in and another prominent showing is forecast. Wonderwall may chase the pair home.

EXMOOR FOREST very much caught the eye, particularly with a view to stepping back up in trip, when runner-up at Ffos Las (19.4f) 2 weeks ago, noted finishing with running left. Still unexposed as a chaser, he earns the vote to build on the promise showed then, with Wonderwall, who is similarly unexposed as a chaser, and recent C&D second Langley Hundred others to consider.

This is a significant drop in grade for WONDERWALL, who was placed in two competitive handicap hurdles last month.
Class & Speed Card

The Jim Bolger-trained BOLD APPROACH should have every chance of going one better than his recent Leopardstown runner-up effort. A proven stayer, the eight-year-old ran well for a young apprentice who retains the ride on this occasion. Having enjoyed a first career success in the interim, Gabriella Hill should be riding full of confidence at the moment. Global Export won at Navan last month, before posting a solid effort off a higher mark at Listowel. He should again be capable of making his presence felt. Roscommon winner Sixpack could also have further improvement in him, especially now he steps up to this distance for the first time in his career.

HERCULANEUM has done well over hurdles this spring and might be able to continue the good work back on the Flat. Jim Bolger's Bold Approach arrives on the back of a good run at Leopardstown last week and is second choice ahead of Sixpack and The Names Jock.

Having improved for going 1m4f recently, SIXPACK looks worth a shot at this trip. He's only had 9 runs and is open to further progress
Class & Speed Card

GREAT SAMOURAI accounted for his nearest rival by over six lengths in this grade at Huntingdon last month and he is only 7lb higher for that triumph. The seven-year-old could have similar conditions to contend with and he looks the one to beat again. The main danger might be Stormin Crossgales, who was given a fine ride when scoring by a neck, also at Huntingdon, and can have a say off a 5lb higher rating. Gower Prince is another to consider.

GREAT SAMOURAI benefited from a positive ride at Huntingdon last time and he boasts excellent claims of making all once more. Gower Prince had a stiff task last time but impressed on his chasing debut prior to that, so he's another big player, while Stormin Crossgales is a danger if he turns up in the same mood as at Huntingdon last month.

Dropped to Class 4 and on a bankable mark, CEDAR HILL can make Sandy Thomson's trip worthwhile. Great Samourai is next best.
Class & Speed Card

First time cheekpieces worked a treat on CARLO BIANCONI at Sligo last month, making the breakthrough on what was his handicap debut. The Joseph O'Brien-trained four-year-old was however later disqualified, after winning rider Wayne Hassett claimed 7lb instead of five. Owned by the shrewd Kevin Blake, the French-bred bay looks nicely treated here on a mark of 77 and should go close with Hassett again on board. Jaafel didn't get the clearest of runs when fifth at Leopardstown last week and is of definite interest for the in-form yard of Charles Byrnes. Six-time winner Timourid was successful on that same Leopardstown card and he is sure to have plenty of supporters in his bid to follow-up. An excellent fifth in a Grade 1 over flights when last seen, Eastern Legend is another for the shortlist, while the returning Taipan and 2021 winner Morph Speed (first time cheekpieces) also warrant respect.

While it's a concern that JAAFEL has yet to strike on turf following 22 attempts, he is clearly effective on grass and could be worth chancing on the back of a very encouraging effort at Leopardstown last week. Carlo Bianconi was first past the post in a Sligo handicap last month and looks very dangerous off the same mark, while Take Heart is third choice. Taipan also merits respect and will be a threat if fit enough to do himself justice.

Disqualified on a technicality after winning a Sligo handicap last time, CARLO BIANCONI(nap) can make amends off the same mark today.
Class & Speed Card

ENCHANTING produced a big effort to finish fourth in the 3YO "Dash" at Epsom earlier in the month and the handicapper may have been kind to drop her 1lb for that performance. The daughter of Blue Point has plenty of early pace to burn and she could prove too good for her rivals. The main threat might be Make It Easy, who met trouble at both ends of the race at Musselburgh last time, so that display deserves a huge upgrade. Of the remainder, Cloud King makes the most appeal in a first-time hood.

ENCHANTING looked potentially useful as a 2-y-o and got back on track at Epsom last time, so she's worth a chance to click and gain her first handicap success at the possible expense of Make It Easy, who is in good order. Cloud King disappointed here last time but remains with potential if he's as effective on turf as AW.

The vote goes to MAKE IT EASY, who didn't have much go right last time off the back of a solid run at York.

Tis But A Scratch posted his best effort to date when a close-up second at Uttoxeter last time out and a 1lb higher mark should see him remaining competitive. However, STILETTO shades the verdict after posting a promising fourth on his seasonal bow at Warwick towards the end of May. Keiran Burke's charge was unfortunate to bump into some well-handicapped rivals last year and an elusive first win could be on the horizon. Coup De Gold is also an intriguing runner upped markedly in distance.

RUBYS REWARD has slipped to a handy mark judged on the pick of her form and is worth another chance to build on an encouraging return at Stratford on her penultimate outing. Grove Road became disappointing for Archie Watson but is potentially thrown-in if his new stable can revitalise him in a short space of time, while Stiletto and Dear Ralphy are others to consider.

Keiran Burke's STILETTO returned from a break with a good effort over a trip similar to today's a fortnight ago and gets the vote.

Despite suffering an odds-on reversal at Limerick last time, SOUL OF SPAIN is worth another chance on better ground. The Joseph O'Brien-trained colt had looked promising as a juvenile, but does have some questions to answer now after two short-priced defeats in his early three-year-old career. A first-time tongue-tie and blinkers may aid his case in this winnable maiden. Bumper winner Ossie's Lodge has been hindered by poor jumping since going hurdling, but has to hold fair claims back on the level. He looks one of the more likely types. The once-raced Dark Oak needs to step up on her racecourse debut effort, but could be capable of better.

SOUL OF SPAIN sets a clear standard on his placed efforts in similar races and can make it fourth time lucky in this new headgear combination. Dermot Weld's Brosna Town took a step forward from his debut when fourth at Sligo last month and likely has more to offer. Jim Bolger newcomer Slaneyside is one to note in the betting.

Although again turned over at odds-on, \bSOUL OF SPAIN\ didn't do a lot wrong at Limerick where he might have bumped into a useful type
Class & Speed Card

Clatterbridge was seen in a much better light when stepping up in trip on his handicap debut, going in by a neck at Uttoxeter, and he should remain competitive off 3lb higher. However, he could come out second best to COILROCK, who had Fantomas one place behind when filling the runner-up spot over 3m at Ludlow. The seven-year-old remains on the same mark and can confirm that form to go one better. Kapamazov completes the shortlist.

ETOILE BRILLIANTE did well to make up a lot of ground late when landing a steadily-run event at Warwick recently and she's fancied to make it two from two for this yard. Clatterbridge is another last-time-out winner who deserves respect and Coilrock can feature if the headgear continues to have a positive effect.

Clatterbridge showed improvement on handicap debut at Uttoxeter but the prospect of further rain tips the scales towards KAPAMAZOV.
Class & Speed Card

MASOUN might be able to defy top weight in this very competitive affair. The Johnny Murtagh-trained bay raced in last at Fairyhouse on his most recent start, making significant ground up the inner in the home straight, eventually finishing a close second. Out of Listed winner Massinga, the 75-rated gelding might be able to go a place better now. Lord Church justified strong market support when successful at Limerick last month and it'll come as no surprise if he manages to follow up. An eye-catching fourth at the Curragh recently, Avatar Jet is an interesting contender with Shane Foley aboard, while others for the shortlist are course winner Signor Ferrari, Leopardstown fourth Zenato and Gowran winner Timeonourside.

LORD CHURCH justified strong support when making a winning handicap debut at Limerick last month and, with the promise of better to come, it's unlikely that a 5 lb rise will stop him in his tracks. Masoun put in a good shift when runner-up at Fairyhouse recently and he is feared most but Timeonourside, who took a step forward when emerging on top at Gowran, also merits serious consideration. Zenato is best of the rest.

Though raised 3lb for his unlucky second at Fairyhouse last time, MASOUN could be still well-handicapped as he should have won that day
Class & Speed Card

DREAMROCKER caught the eye when reaching the frame in this grade over 7f at York last month and she goes off an unchanged mark. Ed Walker's four-year-old makes only her third handicap start and, with the likelihood of more to come, she looks the one to side with. Magical Merlin finished third at Brighton on his latest outing and is worth a second look tackling a mile for the first time, while New Heights remains on a workable mark.

Unexposed 4-y-o DREAMROCKER stepped up on her low-key reappearance effort when a solid third in a big-field 7f handicap at York last month and she should have more to offer back up to a mile. Double Time didn't do much wrong at Newmarket and he is second choice ahead of Magical Merlin and Maysong, while Cervetto could also have a part to play.

Cervetto (second choice) has some potential, as does DREAMROCKER (nap), who did well to finish as close as she did over 7f latest.

KING'S CASTLE arrives here on the back of two victories and the most recent of which came over C&D nine days ago. His rider's 5lb claim largely negates the 7lb penalty that he carries and the progressive seven-year-old is hard to oppose. Getmetothemoon also scored on her latest outing at Stratford and is clearly the main threat, ahead of Supposedtobe and Ellerton.

KING'S CASTLE created a good impression in quickening clear off a steady pace over C&D last week and looks up to completing the hat-trick. Gavin should be much closer to form with a recent run under his belt, while Getmetothemoon and Saddlers Quest are others who enter calculations.

It's hard to get away from KING'S CASTLE, who is 1lb ahead of the handicapper under the penalty for last week's comfortable C&D win.
Class & Speed Card

BARRYS ROCK has flattered to deceive on more than one occasion but holds strong each-way claims on the basis of his recent C&D third, and the nine-year-old has seldom run a poor race at this venue. Back on his favoured terrain, a breakthrough success may finally be in the offing. Runner-up here over 1m2f last month, the Sheila Lavery-trained Lady Christa should appreciate stepping up in distance. Keithen Kennedy has been one of the finds of the season in the apprentice ranks. Enquire Within is another who has been running consistently of late, and Amy Jo Hayes has built up a good partnership with the eight-year-old mare.

TUDOR MANOR had a bit to spare when getting the better of Enquire Within in a big-field event at Leopardstown last time and he's fancied to uphold the form given he's still well treated on past efforts. Lady Christa is another obvious player.

A renewal of Leopardstown rivalry between Tudor Manor and ENQUIRE WITHIN and the latter, 5lb better off, can turn around the form
Class & Speed Card

DELTA FORCE took a big step forward from his debut effort when second at Leopardstown on his most recent start in March. The Irish raider is likely to have more improvement left to come and has to be high on the shortlist. Tuck Your Shirt In showed ability when third on his racecourse bow at Worcester earlier in the month and is likely to be in the mix once again. Others to note are Born In The West and She's Our World.

DELTA FORCE was much improved on his second start when chasing home a promising sort at Leopardstown 3 months ago and looks the way to go over Tuck Your Shirt In, who shaped well at Worcester, and newcomer She's Our World.

Leopardstown runner-up DELTA FORCE sets a good form standard here and ought to open his account.
Ths is the racecard key.
