Velvet Rhythm is an interesting newcomer as a daughter of Awtaad, but this trip may be on the short side and she may do better over further later in the season. SPECIAL THANKS was sent off odds-on for her Carlisle debut before finishing third behind stablemate Aspiral, looking likely to learn plenty from the experience and she could make amends in this line-up. York fifth Douwantitrightnow might well improve enough to pick up the minor placing with that run under her belt.

Karl Burke's SPECIAL THANKS came up short when odds-on at Carlisle but she still showed promise and sets a clear standard on that form.
Class & Speed Card

Hashtagnotions looks interesting having won twice over the mile at Newcastle and if cheekpieces have a positive effect he could surprise a few. UNTHINKABLE won last time out at Musselburgh after coming from off the pace and in receipt of 7lb as a three-year-old, he may be able to follow up under Joe Fanning. Woodrafff also won last time out, but that was on soft ground at Beverley and needs to show he can repeat that on a quicker surface.

Top of the list is WOODRAFFF, who produced a strong finish when scoring at Beverley and is open to more progress back up in trip.
Class & Speed Card

The connections of KEEP ME STABLE have decided to let her carry top-weight at this level after the five-year-old won a better race at Musselburgh to land her hat-trick. Upped 4lb for that, she might have another win in her at this level before being forced up in class. Breizh Sea is improving slowly with a third off this mark and he looks well handicapped after William Pyle's 3lb claim, while the consistent Highfield Viking appeals most of the remainder.

Preference is for KEEP ME STABLE, who has won at Musselburgh in her last three starts and still looks on a workable mark.
Class & Speed Card

A switch to nursery company saw Torbay opening his account at Ffos Las last month and he merits respect in his follow-up bid. However, the second has subsequently let the form down and it may be worth taking a chance on ISAMBARD KINGDOM. The son of No Nay Never is a potential improver stepping up in distance and an opening mark of 58 looks workable. Blue Jammin is the pick of the remainder.

It might be worth siding with BLUE JAMMIN who suggested he would appreciate this longer trip when a close fifth at Southwell last time.
Class & Speed Card

JANNAS JOURNEY completed the hat-trick over a mile at this track and is improving at a rapid rate of knots. Jim Goldie's filly's winning sequence might not be finished yet and she remains the one to beat. Call Me Betty failed to land a blow on her handicap bow at Doncaster last month, but she could put that effort behind her and have a say. Electric Lightning and Golden Valour appear best of the remainder.

This can go to JANNAS JOURNEY, who found plenty of progress with her three wins last month and could continue on the upgrade.
Class & Speed Card

Having capitalised on a career-low mark at Nottingham 27 days ago, there could be more to come from LOUIE THE LEGEND. A 4lb higher mark looks more than fair for Dylan Cunha's charge and he boasts a previous second on Polytrack at Chelmsford in August last year. Bintshuaa opened her account at Ffos Las in June and is feared most, ahead of fellow last-time-out winner Popeye Doyle.

The vote goes to POPEYE DOYLE (nap) who won with plenty of authority at Wolverhampton last month and can defy a 6lb rise.
Class & Speed Card

Two-time C&D winner Yorkshire Lady continues to drop in the weights after being well beaten at Hamilton last time, but the return to this venue and a 2lb lower mark gives her every chance. Dawn Of Liberation finished four lengths clear of the third when hitting the woodwork at Ripon last week and is noted, but GLISTENING NIGHTS gets the nod. Richard Fahey's charge readily took care of his rivals in this class at Chester last time and will prove hard to beat, despite his 5lb penalty.

Preference is for GLISTENING NIGHTS (nap), who won by 4l at Chester last Sunday and looks well treated under a penalty.
Class & Speed Card

The market is likely to prove informative in this race chock-full of newcomers and a tentative vote is for BORN IN BEIRUT. Michael Bell's filly is a half-sister to the precocious Razzle Dazzle and she could take some stopping if sharing a similar level of ability. Hoe Benham ticks plenty of the right boxes on paper and is a feasible alternative, along with Komodo Rose.

On breeding HOE BENHAM, Komodo Rose and Galileo Charm each make some appeal with the Hannon filly the tentative selection.
Class & Speed Card

GISELLES IZZY won over 7f here in June and remains in fine form on the evidence of her recent second over C&D. She scored at the track at this time last season and Iain Jardine's sprinter looks set to make another bold bid off a 10lb lower mark. Due Respect has improved for the application of a visor and won over 7f at Redcar last month, while I'm Spartacus is potentially well treated on his winning form on the all-weather.

Preference is for MACARONE, who offered more for his new yard without seeing out 7.2f on comeback. Thunderstorm Katie is next best.
Class & Speed Card

With no form to go off, only a tentative vote goes to RELENTLESS HERO, who is a half-brother to Group 3 winner Yulong Gold Fairy. Andrew Balding's colt is well drawn in stall one and could make an instant impression. Attention Seeker is closely related to Shanghai Glory, who took Listed honours once in his career, and the son of Cotai Glory warrants a market check. Outspan is another to consider.

Another race with no form to go on. Andrew Balding's RELENTLESS HERO gets the nod given he has enough to like about him on breeding.
Class & Speed Card

Dwindling Funds looks vulnerable off his new mark as he bids for a hat-trick. He won over C&D in July with ZEBRA STAR back in third, but the latter reopposes on much more favourable terms today and the daughter of Gregorian is taken to turn the tables. Elizabeth's Legacy has a bit to find with the selection, but first-time cheekpieces may bring improvement and she could launch a stronger challenge on this occasion.

The vote goes to DWINDLING FUNDS, who has found improvement with his two recent wins and is still unexposed at this trip.
Class & Speed Card

Princess Rascal finished 12 lengths clear of the third when hitting the crossbar at Windsor last month and takes a step up in trip on just her second handicap start, so she has to be respected. However, ARABIAN POET ran a career-best after being gelded to finish second at Doncaster last time and now makes his handicap debut. With the Charlie Appleby yard in good form, he could defy his opening rating of 81. Schemaya completes the shortlist.

This can go to IVATT who gave the impression he would appreciate a stiffer test when fifth of 12 in a valuable novice here last month.
Class & Speed Card

Having shown definite improvement from his first to second run, KASPER HAUSER can take this for trainer Kevin Coleman. A promising fourth on his hurdling debut at Tipperary, the grey came forward from that introduction to fill the runner-up spot at Killarney last time. With the benefit of those two previous outings to call upon, the Mastercraftsman gelding should prove too strong for the newcomers. Magnolia Drive, a recent winner on the Flat for Joseph O'Brien, has to be respected on his first start over hurdles. Second on the level here in June, the son of Gleneagles acts around the tight track. Hopes Are High is another capable of getting involved if taking to jumping.

FELICITY SMOAK may be able to reverse Killarney placings with Kasper Hauser and Cinammon Coco on this quicker ground
Class & Speed Card

Sea The Wonder was well held in fourth under a penalty at Newbury last time, but she is an interesting contender on her first outing in a handicap. Lady Chatterley warrants a market check on her first start for the George Baker yard, but the vote goes to SOLAR PASS. The daughter of Phoenix Beach ran too badly to be true when last of eight at Leicester last time and is better judged on her second at Windsor prior. With a reproduction of that effort, she could be the one to beat.

It could be worth siding with WORD OF MOUTH who may be suited by the return to this intermediate trip.
Class & Speed Card

With the William Haggas stable in great form, it may be folly to oppose KINSWOMAN here after the daughter of Mehmas was beaten a neck over a furlong further at Brighton after pulling too hard. Trafalger looks a serious danger if he improves for his Doncaster second on his first start of the season, leaving newcomer Mayfair Star to follow them home on debut.

The concession of 8lb to the year-younger filly KINSWOMAN, who sets the standard back from a short break, may be beyond Trafalger.
Class & Speed Card

This looks a nice opportunity for the Tom Gibney-trained LEAVE IN SECRET to register the first win of his career. Although somewhat disappointing when down the field on his handicap debut at Galway last month, the six-year-old had been consistent in this grade prior to that. A 107-rated gelding, the son of Elusive Pimpernel has acquired plenty of experience which should stand to him in this company. Tramore runner-up Onyx Storm should be capable of better, having only got as far as the first flight on her next appearance at Kilbeggan. Lightly raced, the Paul Hennessy-trained mare has to enter calculations. Third over course and distance recently, Rememberthename is another with leading claims.

The 107-rated LEAVE IN SECRET has plenty of experience and faces lesser opposition than when running in a Galway festival handicap
Class & Speed Card

Uncertainty ran well on her debut when second at Newbury and she can be forgiven a poor run over a furlong further at Goodwood on heavy ground which didn't suit the daughter of Mohaather. She can go well, but GWEN JOHN gets the vote for William Haggas after her neck second over C&D last month behind Queen Mary Stakes ninth Come On Eibhlin. Any improvement could see her off the mark, while Aly A'ali is an interesting newcomer who could also mount a challenge.

As regards the four fillies who performed well over C&D three weeks ago, GWEN JOHN may emerge on top, ahead of Denby's Dream.
Class & Speed Card

Dual Flat winner DESERT HAVEN looks to have strong claims of opening his account over hurdles. Runner-up at this track in May, the Noel Meade-trained five-year-old is only 3lb higher on his return visit. Lightly raced over jumps, the son of Oasis Dream remains open to further improvement. Son Of Hypnos had been largely out of form, prior to running well on two occasions at the recent Galway Festival. Dropping in grade here, the eight-year-old has to be competitive under James Smith. A winner here on his penultimate start, Tomas O Maille also has his chance if coping with the shorter trip.

The most obvious one is DESERT HAVEN who ran a blinder over C&D in May and he may be able to get his head in front off 3lb higher
Class & Speed Card

MUJID ticks plenty of boxes with two wins here, one over this trip, and two successes on the prevailing ground all off higher marks. He did weaken into third over further at Ffos Las last month, but that was his first start since December and at the age of 10, he can be expected to improve for the race. The Pug is another to consider with Hollie Doyle in the saddle after his neck second here, leaving Inlet to be best of the remainder.

Back up in trip, THE PUG may be capable of opening his turf account. Jimmy Mark is second choice.
Class & Speed Card

Well supported when down the field at Kilbeggan last month, the Noel Kelly-trained BRINGSTY is worth another chance. A five-time winner on the Flat, the Muhaarar gelding had shaped with plenty of promise when mid-division at Perth on his previous start. Undoubtedly well handicapped over flights, the seven-year-old is not one to write off on the back of that one bad run. Recent course and distance winner Only One Plan should again be competitive off just 4lb higher. Conor Owens gets on well with the son of Retirement Plan. Second on his handicap debut at Killarney last time, the Joseph O'Brien-trained Shaboozee should be capable of making his presence felt.

If jumping more fluently than when second at Killarney in his second handicap, SHABOZEE has prospects of going one place better.
Class & Speed Card

Badri faces a tougher assignment raised 6lb for last month's C&D success and Chief Mankato, who failed to get a clear run in third, may well reverse the form. However, it's TREFOR who makes most appeal in an open contest. The finish line came too soon for Charles Hills' charge when dropped to the minimum trip at Doncaster last time, but he looks worth another chance having won a competitive sprint over this distance at Ripon before that.

This went to a 3yo last year and SERAPHIM ANGEL (nap) could well follow suit. The suggested second choice is Woolhampton.
Class & Speed Card

COUMEENOOLE is a lightly-raced six-year-old who ran well in a recent staying maiden hurdle and gets the vote on handicap debut. Winner of his point-to-point on debut in May 2024, he was subsequently sold for 180,000 pounds and while his initial hurdles form was unexciting, showed more on his return following a break at Wexford last month. Dorans Law is rated 114 over fences having won at Wexford last month so is interesting reverting to hurdles, under a 7lb claimer. Dour stayer Sphagnum is rated 131 over fences but lacks a recent run.

Sharpened by a good run over a shorter trip at the Galway festival, JOLIEE JEWEL has solid form course to her name and gets the vote
Class & Speed Card

JAX EDGE has returned to action in fine form and went agonisingly close once again when caught in the final strides over 5f here a fortnight ago. Another bold bid looks assured from Christopher Mason's sprinter and she gets the vote. My Awele won a shade cosily at Leicester last time and a 4lb rise may not be enough to prevent another strong challenge, while the maiden winner Just Queen High is worth noting.

The Verdict comprises last-time winners JUST QUEEN HIGH and My Awele who both may have more to offer at 6f on turf.
Class & Speed Card

Nine-year-old OCEAN OF MERCY has raced just seven times but showed some of his old ability on a first run for 956 days back in May. A useful type in 2021/22, his career has been blighted by setbacks but he's back now and could be suited by stepping up to this distance. Vroomvroomboo has reasonable recent handicap form, while point-to-point winner Sharing Is Caring showed some ability at Stratford last month.

The top-rated 9yo OCEAN OF MERCY showed that he still retained some ability at Limerick and this step up in trip will suit
Class & Speed Card

Not at her best last time, FOUR ADAAY is taken to bounce back. Narrowly beaten at Nottingham on her penultimate start, when finishing well clear of the rest, she can go well with Oisin Murphy taking over the reins. Little Miss Magic is potentially well treated and has shown signs of a resurgence recently, including when runner-up here, while Cabeza De Llave could also get competitive.

This looks a good chance for CABEZA DE LLAVE, who boasts a decent record over C&D. Darkened Edge should go well too.
Class & Speed Card

MEPHISTO makes a quick reappearance under a 7lb penalty having won at Wexford on Friday and has solid claims. He tries this distance for the first time but having previously stayed 2m quite well on the Flat, he should cope with the extra yardage. Le Grand Vert was well beaten at Wexford over fences last month but that was his first run for 138 days and he had previously scored over fences at Ayr. Potentially well treated back over hurdles, he's noted along with Zolpharine.

Providing this does not come a bit soon after Friday's success at Wexford, MEPHISTO has good prospects of defying a penalty
Ths is the racecard key.
