LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content, hiden content

MISTER WHIPPY confirmed the promise that he displayed on debut when a close second at Newbury a couple of weeks ago. With further improvement likely, Ed Walker's gelding could be hard to beat on this occasion. George Cross bumped into a useful rival with previous race experience when runner-up on his racecourse bow at Ffos Las and he could prove to be the main threat to the selection. That said, Somerton and See The Mountain should not be discounted.

Not many of these can confidently be ruled out and any support for the likes of Impartiality, Per Contra and Tiger would have foundation based on recent form. However, preference is for FOX AVATAR, who still has some scope for improvement. A C&D winner as a three-year-old, the son of Frankel hinted at a revival last time out and is dangerous to ignore off the same mark. Galyx is an interesting each-way option.

DIAMONDS AND DAMES went well on her debut over 7f at Gowran Park a little over a month ago. While ridden along at halfway, she stuck to her task in the straight to take fourth spot behind all-the-way winner Sword Of State and subsequent scorer Seaxburh. She might just go better on the softer ground this time and looks a match for the more experienced Eighteenth Smiles, who probably ran his best race when third at Roscommon. There is unlikely to be much between the stable companions Williamsburg and Mirren and they must both be considered, along with newcomer Dang Thai Son.

Inspired is bound to be popular having finished second in his two starts starts either side of a Hamilton success in July. That said, preference is for OLIVER SHOW, who was a close fourth in a valuable contest over 7f here a month ago, despite meeting with trouble in running. The return to a mile should not be a problem for the six-year-old and he is clearly on a workable mark. Others to consider are Masked Warrior, Principality and Drifts Away.

JM JUNGLE has form that ties in with a good number of these rivals and the balance of those efforts gives him solid claims. A stalwart in high-profile sprints, the six-year-old retains all his enthusiasm and could be tough to resist if a berth in stall nine can be overcome. Shagraan is also capable of a bold showing and is one to seriously consider with first-time cheekpieces tried. Previous C&D winners Badri and Argentine Tango also merit consideration.

ROCSANE arrives with the best recent form after finishing second here over 6f and following that with a neck second at Windsor. Hidden Beyond looked the sort to learn from her debut third at Kempton and she looks a serious danger, while newcomer Extragalactic, a son of Space Traveller related to plenty of winners, is worthy of a market watch.

GLAMAZON arrives here on the back of a fair effort over C&D and is obviously one for the shortlist. She came from off the pace when a never-nearer third, finishing just ahead of Dawn Flame, and she might well do better from a more favourable draw now. Another with a low draw is Beau Army, who had a number of these behind her when winning over 7f at Gowran Park earlier this month. Her form is closely matched with that of Cause I Like You, who can't be ruled out despite her wide draw. Aiteall starts off in handicaps after three runs in maiden races in the space of just two weeks and he should have his chance too.

Cheeky Chesca posted a better effort at Catterick 13 days ago and is interesting with first-time blinkers added, while Last Dandelion has been knocking on the door and won't need to find much to be on the premises. However, ELEVEN EIGHTY TWO is surely better than she managed on her nursery debut at Ripon and, down 1lb, Ben Haslam's filly looks worth another chance in a wide-open race. Dorothea Hope, Purrista and Serenity Bay are also worth a second look.

After an easy maiden win at Limerick, Res Ipsa was turned over at odds-on in a three-runner contest at Killarney, but he remains open to more improvement.

Financer only found the useful High Degree too good over 1m2f at Pontefract earlier this month and a similar effort would see him go close, but the vote goes to COUNT PALATINE. Michael Dods' charge struck by a short head in this grade over 7f at Carlisle on his latest outing and looks to have been found a good opportunity to follow up. Of the remainder, previous C&D winner Wondrous Light makes the most appeal.

The Lightly-raced ROSE COTTON has been weakening late on over 1m4f recently and is dropped back in trip in the hunt for her second victory. Moonjid and Solanna are both C&D winners off lower marks and warrant plenty of respect, although the first-time visored Patrol could be the bigger danger.

William Haggas has trained two of the three winners of this race and has chances once again with Lorca's Waltz, a winner at Beverley in June but unplaced since. METHGAL was a good second over 7f here on his first run for Dylan Cunha before going one better when dropped to 6f for the first time at Windsor 17 days ago. Von Krolock and My Mate Kev were first and second in a similar event at Lingfield 12 days ago and they can go close if they stage repeats. However, the generally consistent Insuspense could be a bigger danger if matching his peak form starting out for new connections.

ROSIE FRITH is a 5f specialist and recorded her fourth win when landing a Curragh handicap three weeks ago. The Cotai Glory filly has been found wanting at stakes level a couple of times, but is well worth another shot at a black-type contest. Likedbymike gained a confidence-boosting win at Naas and was twice runner-up at this level earlier in the season, including when chasing home Kendall Roy here in June. She's 3lb better off with that rival and might be able to reverse placings. Brussels hasn't matched his juvenile exploits this term, but can't be ruled out dropping down significantly in grade.

Giant is versatile regarding distance and is noteworthy turned out under a 5lb penalty for his success over 6f at Brighton. However, he is an infrequent winner and he may be vulnerable under top-weight with another furlong to negotiate. CAMPANI, who won over a mile here on his penultimate start, could have a bigger impact on these terms and he looks worth another throw of the dice, with this representing a drop in class. Cuban Girl and Potters Prince are others to consider.

OTSANA shaped well enough when fifth on her debut to suggest she can win a race of this nature. Prominent from the outset in that 7f Curragh maiden, the Paddy Twomey-trained filly only weakened inside the final furlong. The daughter of Cotai Glory now takes a drop in trip and is well drawn towards the centre of the track. Grande Cuvee bumped into a smart sort when second at Dundalk last time and has to hold decent claims. Feel Happy is another worth considering after showing up well in her three appearances so far.

Obito returned to winning ways with a comfortable victory over this distance at Ayr and has to be considered in his attempt to complete a double, but A MAJOR PAYNE might get the better of him. Michael Bell's inmate wasn't beaten far into third in a class 3 contest at Windsor on his most recent start and a reproduction of that display would make him tough to beat. Due To Henry is another to consider.

ELEMENTAL EYE wasn't able to supplement his Newcastle success when second over 1m5f at Ayr last month, but that was still a respectable effort and he is just 1lb higher. With a similar performance, the five-year-old could prove hard to beat. Spooky Wooky showed improvement in a first-time tongue-tie/visor when fourth at Redcar and he has to be respected along with Lingfield third Shopaholic.

Despite the obvious concern of a wide draw, ARCH ENEMY is taken to record a 10th career win. The Patrick Magee-trained mare ran better than her final placing suggests when fifth at Galway last time. Sam Coen has won three times on the grey and his presence in the saddle is surely significant. Preparations did well to win at Tramore recently, having been badly hampered mid-race. Lauderdale King also catches the eye.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
