LTO Selection:

13:20 Curragh Maiden 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

SURFERS PARADISE began his career in the 7f maiden won by Diego Velazquez here, showing plenty of ability in fourth, and then finished a couple of lengths clear of Marty The Party when they took minor honours at Tipperary. The drop from 1m1f should be in his favour and he can make it third-time lucky. The penny dropped for Hazbaiya a bit too late on her introduction but she caught the eye when the race was all over. Salah Al Deen, a stable companion of the selection, is arguably the pick of the newcomers.

SURFERS PARADISE improved on debut form when second to a good prospect at Tipperary and sets a clear standard. Marty The Party made a promising start at Tipperary so is next best ahead of Barnso.

SURFERS PARADISE, who has by far the best form and the beating of Marty The Party, looks the one

9/2(+50%)
(4) House Of Aviz 9/2, Twice-raced colt. 3/1, sixth of 12 in maiden at this course (8f, good) 29 days ago. Still learning and pedigree gives him the scope for more progress, so warrants consideration.
RPRs about 80 (here, good), finding little over 1m latest behind Taraj; still early days.

(8) Pandion Power 150/1, Twice-raced gelding. 80/1, tenth of 12 in maiden at this course (8f, good) 29 days ago. Others make more appeal.
Similarly pleasing runs (1m) would suggest he is more a handicap sort, as would SPs.
LTO Selection:

13:50 Curragh Maiden 7f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Meteor Storm and VERSATILE are two highly appealing newcomers and while the former ticks all the right boxes as a potential player over this sort of trip, the latter, a 235,000-euro purchase whose dam is a half-sister to Dewhurst winner Intense Focus, shades the vote. That is not to underestimate potential improvers Taraj, Gesture and Gasper De Lemos, who are candidates for progression as they gain more experience.

TARAJ has the best form based on his encouraging fourth on debut at this course and, with improvement expected, he's a confident selection despite the presence of No Knee Never and Versatile, both interesting newcomers.

TARAJ has the beating of House Of Aviz on course form so the latter's stable buddy Gasper De Lemos is feared more

(6) Silk Sonic 66/1, Down the field in newcomers race and 2 minor events on Flat in France, sold from Y. Barberot €1,500 in February.
Showed little in three French Flat runs but stable does well with juvenile hurdlers.
LTO Selection:

14:00 Plumpton Conditions Hurdle (Class 4) 18f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

GOZO was arguably the best of these on the Flat and he offers a more convincing profile than most as regards to stamina, so he edges the vote now he switches codes. Logistical appeals most of those with previous hurdles experience, although Feach Amach, who was rated 80 on the level during his time with Jim Bolger in Ireland, can also go well if building on last month's hurdles/stable debut at Fontwell.

GOZO isn't bred for this sort of test now hurdling but he's very dangerous given his Flat form if seeing it out and taking to this discipline. Sir Raj is feared given his ability on the level, with Logistical's experience over timber likely to take him a fair way against this opposition.

Logistical doesn't set the bar very high. GOZO and Sir Raj were of similar ability on the Flat and may dominate.

(1) Blue Storm 1/1, £75,000 Blue Point half-brother to 2-y-o 6f winner Silver Surfer and smart 6f/6.5f winner Asjad. Dam 5f/6f winner. Displayed sharp turn of foot when making a taking winning debut at Newmarket in April (race worked out). Disappointing in listed company a month later and off since, but this is easier.

(4) Our Bank 9/1, Still looks a work-in-progress but stepped up on markedly on opening run when fourth of 9 in novice event at Lingfield (5f, AW) 18 days ago.
Second run better than first; more to come at this stiffer track; needs to progress though.
LTO Selection:

14:15 Hamilton Stakes (Class 5) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

BLUE STORM struggled at Listed level in the National Stakes at Sandown but won well on debut and it would be no surprise to see him bounce back to form here, despite having to carry a 7lb penalty. Garfield Shadow lacks race experience but merits respect having cost 155,000 euros at a breeze-up sale earlier in the year. Good Point edges out Our Bank to be best of the rest.

BLUE STORM has been off the track since May but he's in very good hands and this represents a significant drop in class. Assuming all is well he can defy a penalty, possibly at the chief expense of Our Bank unless there's confidence behind the Fahey newcomer Garfield Shadow.

The drop back into novice company can see BLUE STORM register a second success. Our Bank may chase him home.

Not a bad debut here in August but she's shown the least of these.
LTO Selection:

14:25 Curragh Group 3 7f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

After finishing in mid-division on debut, CAUGHT U LOOKING proved a completely different proposition when quickening clear from her rivals in an 18-runner maiden at Leopardstown. The Harzand filly may have more to come and looks capable of dealing with the rise in class. Sakti posted an excellent runner-up effort in the Debutante Stakes over C&D and may emerge as the chief threat to the selection, ahead of Content, who found only the unbeaten Kitty Rose too strong at the Irish Champions Festival.

SAKTI clearly possesses more than her share of ability given she was runner-up in the Group 2 Debutante Stakes over C&D on just her second start. There should be plenty more to come and she's very much the one to beat, with Caught U Looking feared most.

Sakti is the one to beat after her second in the Debutante but DOLLERINA got no luck in running there after being well backed.

(1) Gambie Tiep 7/4, Back to best since joining new connections this summer, gaining his third win of the year in emphatic fashion at Fontwell earlier this month. Up another 6 lb but clearly remains on an upward trajectory and should take all the beating again.

LTO Selection:

14:35 Plumpton Handicap Chase (Class 5) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

With Imperial Alex lacking experience over regulation fences, and both Honneur De Sivola and Tamaris needing to better their previous chasing form, it can pay to take the view that GAMBIE TIEP is up to the task of giving weight all round here. A 10-length winner last time out, a 6lb higher mark looks very manageable for the top-weight in this company and he is fancied to complete a double. Recent Fontwell chase winner King Of The Story is feared most.

GAMBIE TIEP has taken off since joining the Ben Pauling yard and he's fancied to notch his fourth win of the season. Fellow recent stable-switcher King of The Story looked a different proposition when winning at Fontwell last time and he can pose the biggest threat, whilst former pointer Imperial Alex could improve now going over fences.

Gambie Tiep is respected but IMPERIAL ALEX, who should improve further in handicaps, gets the vote on his chase debut.

LTO Selection:

14:50 Hamilton Handicap (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

ACONCAGUA MOUNTAIN has to carry a 5lb penalty for his success over this distance at Ayr on Thursday, but this is a weak contest and Iain Jardine's five-year-old is very hard to oppose. Ski Angel failed to fire behind the selection that day but can be given another chance based on her previous form, while Captain Corcoran and Annie Maher complete the shortlist.

ACONCAGUA MOUNTAIN opened his account for 2023 in good style at Ayr only three days ago and is hard to oppose turned out quickly under a 5 lb penalty in this much less competitive sprint. The consistent Ski Angel appeals as the one to chase home Iain Jardine's handily-weighted 5-y-o ahead of Captain Corcoran.

This looks good for ACONCAGUA MOUNTAIN, who fairly bolted up in a better race at Ayr on Thursday.

LTO Selection:

15:00 Curragh Group 3 6f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

An impressive winner of a Group 3 at Naas, OCEAN QUEST remains a relatively unexposed sprinter and there is plenty more to come from Jessica Harrington's filly on ground she should enjoy. Shartash has ground to find with her from earlier in the season, and must bounce back from a mishap at the stalls when competing in Group 3 company over C&D last month. Go Athletico was runner-up in that contest and must be a leading contender on the back of what has been a solid season for new connections.

OCEAN QUEST cranked it up another notch when winning at this Group 3 level a month ago and given this 3-y-o filly isn't yet exposed, there ought to be more to come from her. She's marginally preferred in favour of Go Athletico and Big Gossey, who are both established at this level.

Jessica Harrington's OCEAN QUEST (nap) is essentially a Group 1 filly contesting a Group 3 and she bolted up last time out.

LTO Selection:

15:10 Plumpton Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Proper Twelve scored over this trip at Market Rasen when last seen in May, but a 9lb higher mark may leave him vulnerable now returning from a break. With that in mind, the consistent POLLYPOCKETT is preferred, with her match-fitness proven after a close second to a progressive mare last month and she can go one place better off just 1lb higher today. Ten Past Midnight and Ranco are also feared.

ICARE GRANDCHAMP resumed from a lay-off with a very good Fontwell second earlier in the month and Gary Moore's lightly-raced sort rates the pick of the weights off an unchanged mark here. Course-winner Systemic is also weighted to have a say and next on the list ahead of Pollypockett, Cherry Cola and Proper Twelve.

Plenty with chances but last year's runner-up CHERRY COLA should go well again after a number of solid efforts on the Flat this summer.

LTO Selection:

15:25 Hamilton Seller (Class 4) 9f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

BRINGBACKMEMORIES was not beaten far off a mark of 73 over 1m2f at Redcar earlier in the week and, based on that evidence, the four-year-old could outclass his rivals now switched to selling company. Yeeeaah won a handicap at Carlisle on his most recent outing, but that came off a rating of 55 so he has plenty to find with the selection. Dark Company also needs to improve to score, but could make the frame.

BRINGBACKMEMORIES is a reliable sort who holds the clear edge on form lowered in grade here so he looks very much the way to go. Iconique and Yeeeaah appeal as the duo to give the selection most to do and can chase him home in that order.

The mare ICONIQUE is a tempting proposition in receipt of 10lb from the males. Bringbackmemories is feared most.

LTO Selection:

15:35 Curragh Handicap 7f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

VESTIGIA caught the eye when finishing well to take fourth in a valuable event over an extended 6f here recently and that form suggests that he could be hard to beat off an opening mark of 75. Another who may benefit from a step up in trip is Uncle Albert, who hit the crossbar on his nursery debut at Sligo last month and could prove to be the main threat. Pomeriggio is likely to improve in first-time blinkers and is the pick of the remainder.

VESTIGIA stepped up on his 2 previous efforts when fourth in a valuable sales race here 2 weeks ago and he makes plenty of appeal off a tempting opening mark with the step up in trip sure to suit. Uncle Albert pulled clear of the rest when runner-up to a subsequent winner on nursery bow at Sligo so is feared most ahead of Pomeriggio.

UNCLE ALBERT was eye-taking at Sligo and surely wins races, though he may want an ease. Barley Cove might win too

CALL ME ROCKY just failed to reel in a couple of progressive rivals at Uttoxeter 11 days ago, but that would appear to be decent form for the grade. Milton Harris' charge is only 1lb higher today and gets the nod over Get Back Get Back, who won this race in 2020 off a 1lb higher mark and ought to appreciate the combination of a drop back in trip and class. Hiconic is another to consider.

ALIEN STORM bounced back to form when runner-up at Kempton in April and he can pick up where he left off to land a second C&D victory. Call Me Rocky has been going well for his current yard and isn't taken lightly, while Pillar of Steel can also give another good account on her stable debut.

(5) Iris Dancer 13/2, Four-time C&D winner. Didn't need to improve to win 6-runner handicap at this C&D (good to firm, 11/4) 19 days ago. Holding her form well and should give another good account.

(6) Giselles Izzy 9/2, Landed a gamble when winning 8-runner handicap at this C&D (good to firm) 19 days ago, driven clear. That effort rated as a career best but more will be required from a 6 lb higher mark.

Rock Melody

9/4(+44%)
(1) Rock Melody 9/4, Hold up performer who scored twice over 5f at Musselburgh this summer and recorded a creditable runner-up effort there last weekend. Not so good at Ayr on Friday, but still highly respected in the less competitive race.

(4) Isle Of Dreams 15/2, 5-y-o mare who has built up a fine strike rate, gaining a sixth win from last 7 starts when edging ahead late on at Thirsk (6f) in July. Up 2 lb on the back of that but she will need to pull out bit more if she's to defy career-high mark here.
Big improver since handicapping and may not have reached her ceiling; solid contender.

Conditions ideal but she hasn't got much room for error off her current mark.
LTO Selection:

16:00 Hamilton Handicap (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

LOVE LIES continues to go from strength to strength as a young sprinter, and a mark of 78 on her handicap debut could prove lenient on the back of comfortable successes at Newcastle and Ayr. Archie Watson's charge is preferred to recent C&D winner Iris Dancer, who took this prize home last year, and the winning machine Isle Of Dreams, who has scored on six of her last seven outings.

A trappy sprint, the vast majority arriving in fine form, though handicap-newcomer LOVE LIES makes most appeal after a pair of wins in maiden and novice company. Rock Melody was below par in the Ayr Bronze Cup on Friday but would merit plenty of respect if coming here, whilst Slainte Mhath is usually very reliable over C&D and can shrug off a rare poor effort last time.

Last year's winner Iris Dancer is high on the list but the progressive ISLE OF DREAMS is marginally preferred.

LTO Selection:

16:10 Curragh Handicap 17f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

ECHOES IN RAIN finished a neck second in this 12 months ago and is taken to go one better this time. Willie Mullins' charge, a dual Grade 1 winner over hurdles, has ground conditions in her favour and seems to really thrive in these big-field handicaps. Novel Legend is a fascinating British representative as he has yet to perform poorly running over these types of trips and showed a good attitude to win at Goodwood last time, while Dawn Rising has a lot less on his plate than when third in the Irish St. Leger. Tower Of London finished fourth in the St Leger at Doncaster last weekend and, although this is a quick turnaround, it wouldn't be a huge surprise to see him run well.

Plenty are in with a shout. Emmet Mullins' dual purpose campaigner TEED UP arrives on an upward curve so edges the vote now back on the level after an impressive hurdles win at Galway. Dawn Rising is weighted to have a big say on the back of his Irish St leger third and next on the list, although a solid case can also be made for Tower of London, Echoes In Rain and Chally Chute in a fiercely competitive Irish Cesarewitch.

A whole host to consider but CHALLY CHUTE ran well over 1m4f at Galway considering he ideally needs further and softer ground.

LTO Selection:

16:20 Plumpton Handicap Chase (Class 4) 17f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Post No Bills has been admirably consistent over the larger obstacles and though he's unlikely to be far away, preference is for ONLY MONEY to follow up his victory in this race 12 months ago. Chris Gordon's charge is only 2lb above his last winning mark, a contest in which he comprehensively defeated the reopposing Elios D'Or, and a drop in class ought to aid his chances. Sea Prince could be involved if putting his best foot forward.

ONLY MONEY made a winning reappearance in this 12 months ago so gets the vote off a tempting mark having took a step back in the right direction when last seen in May. Reliable front runner Post No Bills is a solid alternative.

Back from another layoff, ONLY MONEY (nap) could well follow up last year's win. Post No Bills is second choice.

LTO Selection:

16:35 Hamilton Handicap (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

BLAZING SON has shown more than enough in recent outings, including when narrowly denied at Doncaster on his penultimate start, to suggest that he can regain the winning thread. The form of his stable is another plus and he may have too much for bottom-weight The Gay Blade, who occupied the runner-up berth over C&D earlier in the month and struck at this meeting 12 months ago. Completing the shortlist are Elladora, Glorious Rio and Mighty Gurkha.

MIGHTY GURKHA was below par at Kempton last time but this is less competitive and he's on a good mark on the pick of this season's form. Elladora often runs well here so is feared most ahead of Blazing Son.

Bryan Smart's string are in fine form at present and BLAZING SON (nap) can provide another winner.

It could pay to concentrate on Gradulations and CRASSUS, both of whom have gone up 7lb for winning very impressively at Down Royal last time out. The former shaped as though further would suit over 1m 5f there in July, but the latter's stamina is proven following his 2m 2f romp 16 days ago and his recent match-fitness could give him the edge. Sundial is a potential fly in the ointment on his return to the Flat off what could be a fair mark, while it would be no surprise to see useful hurdler Merlin Giant leave a disappointing Leopardstown effort well behind.

CRASSUS forged away to score at Down Royal recently and he's taken to defy a rise at the possible expense of Maze Runner, who leaves the impression there's still a bigger effort in him in this sphere. Lord Erskine also makes appeal.

An open handicap but MERLIN GIANT might be the way to go. Useful over hurdles, he's still not had that many chances on the Flat.

16:55 Plumpton NH Flat Race (Class 5) 18f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

EASY PEASY picked up well to make a winning debut at Killarney in July and now makes his first start for the powerful Nicky Henderson yard. The strength of that form is open to debate, but the Walk In The Park filly is bred to be useful and natural progression could see her repeat the dose. Private Walker, who finished a creditable third at Stratford first time out, appeals as the main danger. Debutant No Touching can chase the pair home ahead of Highway One O Four.

EASY PEASY made the ideal start when landing an 11-runner event at Killarney a couple of months ago and, having joined Nicky Henderson since, she's an obvious selection in her bid to make it two from two. Private Walker made a solid start at Stratford despite pulling hard, so he's the obvious threat.

In terms of form, EASY PEASY has the best claims on her debut for Nicky Henderson. Private Walker is second choice.

LTO Selection:

17:10 Hamilton Handicap (Class 5) 11f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

BARROLO didn't enjoy the smoothest of passages when on a hat-trick at Newcastle earlier in the month and is fancied to finish two places better than that third-placed effort to regain the winning thread. Blue Antares has been posting some creditable efforts in defeat of late and should be on the premises once more, while Rory The Cat is a potential improver on his first attempt at 1m3f.

BARROLO has proved a different proposition having been gelded and switched to handicaps this year, winning 4 times and shaping well in the circumstances when third at Newcastle on his latest outing. He is taken to add to his tally, with Lunacy feared most back at this C&D. Blue Antares can also give his running once again.

The vote goes to RORY THE CAT, who may still have more to offer for Lucinda Russell. Blue Antares and Barrolo are respected.

NOBLE ANTHEM was a fair performer on the Flat for Archie Watson and he ran well in a first-time tongue-tie on his first start for the Adrian Paul Keatley yard when second at Kelso over hurdles 12 days ago. The son of Starspangledbanner could have too much class for these. Stuzzikini is a live danger, as he has run well enough in fifth on both of his starts on the Flat to suggest he could get involved in this contest, while Aurora Princess could also have a say after her third at Gowran Park.

AURORA PRINCESS can surely go close under Michael O'Neill after a pleasing Gowran run. Stuzzikini is a big danger for Viv Connolly

LTO Selection:

17:40 Hamilton Handicap (Class 6) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

KELLS escapes a penalty after romping home in an apprentice handicap at Thirsk on Monday and the six-year-old is hard to oppose if coping with the quick turnaround. Black Smoke ran with plenty of encouragement when runner-up on his stable debut for Mark Loughnane at Bath and may give the selection most to think about. Tafsir is also worth a look now dropping in class, with the switch to turf likely to aid the daughter of Tamarkuz.

KELLS is unpenalised for his wide-margin success at Thirsk 6 days ago and, if the race doesn't come too soon, he should be capable of following up. Black Smoke makes his second start for a new yard and looks the likeliest to capitalise if the selection fluffs his lines and Tafsir is no forlorn hope returning to a more suitable grade.

Kells has to be feared but AIGHEAR is a solid alternative and Black Smoke is also respected.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
