The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Turned out again quickly after a narrow defeat at Ayr on Friday, ZUMAATY can gain compensation over a C&D he ran well over on his penultimate outing. The five-year-old is now 4lb below his last winning mark, which should be enough to see off the likes of the recent Ayr winner Cosa Sara and Mac Ailey, who wasn't beaten far over further at Beverley last Wednesday.

ZUMAATY went close at Ayr on Friday and has obvious claims if in the same form back at a track where he's twice gone well previously. Mac Ailey is feared most ahead of Banner Road.

Turned out quickly, ZUMAATY can gain compensation for his unlucky defeat at Ayr. Mac Ailey is second choice

13:50 Down Royal Handicap 5f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

GOLD COAST GALLEON offered a lot more encouragement when finishing third on his nursery debut over 6f at Fairyhouse last Monday. That looked a deeper contest and the Joseph O'Brien-trained gelding could gain a breakthrough success if handling the drop to 5f here. Veracidad was far from disgraced when finishing fourth in a claimer on the same card as the selection a week ago and is feared most, ahead of Si Senior, who could be dangerous if gaining an easy lead.

VERACIDAD looks on a workable mark if she can reproduce the level of last week's fourth in claiming company at Fairyhouse. Gold Coast Galleon made a sound start to his nursery career when third on that same card at Fairyhouse last week and can give the selection most to do ahead of Si Senior.

Having won around a turning track at Sligo on soft ground, SI SENIOR might be able to win again around this circuit on similar ground.

LTO Selection:

13:55 Warwick Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 21f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

HANDS OFF may not be one for maximum faith after running out at the third-last hurdle at Doncaster in January, but Nicky Henderson's gelding is a clear choice based on his best form and looks the one to beat on his return to action. Mikimoto made the perfect start to his racing career when landing a bumper at Hereford in February and could give the selection something to think about now tackling hurdles for new connections, ahead of Track And Trace, who will need to settle better.

HANDS OFF blotted his copybook when running out when last seen in January but he's made a good start over hurdles otherwise and can make a successful return with the stiffer test sure to suit him. Mikimoto looks a fair hurdles prospect for his new yard after landing a Hereford bumper in February and is the danger.

Assuming there is no repeat of his antics at Doncaster in January, HANDS OFF has a very good opportunity to open his account here.

LTO Selection:

14:05 Leicester Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

A tentative vote goes to EY UP ITS JAZZ, who ran an fine race when second over this trip at Thirsk last week. Returning to this track is a big plus, having won here in April, and he gets the vote ahead of Ceilidh, who got off the mark in decisive fashion at Ffos Las recently and a 5lb rise looks fair. The consistent Diamondsinthesand is high on the shortlist, along with handicap debutant Solar Portrait.

The vote goes to EY UP ITS JAZZ, who was a winner over 6f on his sole previous visit here during the spring and he found just one too good off this mark at Thirsk last week. Provided the ground remains on the slow side, the 4-y-o will surely be there or thereabouts. Spanish Mane is 2-3 at this course and will be a threat if able to bounce back from a couple of relatively low-key efforts. Recent Ffos Las winner Ceilidh also has claims, along with Diamondsinthesand and Kalama Sunrise.

Soft ground looked ideal for CEILIDH (nap) at Ffos Las 11 days ago and he can follow up at the main expense of Ey Up Its Jazz.

14:10 Roscommon Maiden Hurdle 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

JHENTONG ENKI is from a classy French family and the son of Buck's Boum impressed when winning a point-to-point for Colin Bowe at Kirkistown in the spring. The runner-up on that occasion was a creditable fourth in a Galway festival bumper. Paul Nolan's new recruit can make a winning start under Rules. The Lovely Man had Yeats Star back in fourth when a remote second at Wexford. He should be all the better for that run after his summer break and went close in a big-field maiden at Naas in March. Upthereforthinking, fourth in a bumper at this venue on debut, ran a nice race on hurdling debut at Bellewstown and has place prospects.

THE LOVELY MAN had no chance with the well-ridden winner at Wexford on return to action at the beginning of the month and is fancied to run much closer to form in a conventional race this time. Jhentong Enki was an easy winner on his point debut so has to be feared, with Yeats Star another to consider.

The Lovely Man sets a good standard. He has nothing to fear on form from Yeats Star. JHENTONG ENKI looks potentially high-class

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

NOMINAL EVENT may have gone off at a big price on her debut at Chester recently, but she outran those odds when staying on late for third after being slowly away. She is bound to improve for that effort and looks the one be with, ahead of the likes of Amancio and Emu War, who ran well when third over C&D last month. A half-brother to the Group 2-placed Audience, Esquire is an intriguing newcomer for the David O'Meara team.

NOMINAL EVENT is the obvious one after a promising debut Chester third when outrunning her odds. Emu War is next best on form with more to come and Esquire is the interesting newcomer.

An open-looking maiden as most of the runners, including the newcomers, can be viewed positively. The percentage call goes to EMU WAR.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

This can go the way of SMULLEN'S PRIDE, who deservedly got off the mark over C&D last time out and makes her handicap debut off today what looks a workable mark. The three-year-old is narrowly preferred to Polar Bear (second), who is 4lb better off (including jockey's claim) with the reopposing Charming Lady (first) for a nose defeat at Bellewstown last month. Further behind that day was the unexposed Mythical Phoenix (fourth) and he is likely to enter the reckoning, along with Wave Machine.

POLAR BEAR and Mythical Phoenix both have a realistic chance of reversing last month's Bellewstown placings with the re-opposing winner of that handicap, Charming Lady, on these revised terms. The first-named was returning from a three-month break that day and, with the forecast slower ground here no bad thing, he is taken to emerge on top this time. Distillate is holding her form well and should be in the mix, while Wave Machine is also a possible in what looks a pretty competitive race.

With plenty of rain forecast, conditions could turn testing, which will suit POLAR BEAR(nap) very well and he can win.

Allbetsoff proved a different proposition when making all with ease at Hexham earlier this month and the seven-year-old may be up to defying a 7lb rise in the ratings. However, the form of MYRISTICA's runner-up effort in the Summer Hurdle at Market Rasen looks a touch stronger. David Pipe's mare goes off the same mark here and is fancied to return to winning ways for a fourth success of the season here. Fellow in-form rivals Forget The Way and Choirmaster are also worth a second look.

This looks a strong race for the grade with MYRISTICA the most compelling option on the back of an excellent handicap debut at Market Rasen. The drop back to 2m looks a good move at this stage of Uggy Uggy Uggy's career and he's a threat, along with Allbetsoff.

David Pipe's mare MYRISTICA drops in grade after a very good fourth in the always-competitive Summer Hurdle and she gets the vote.

14:40 Leicester Handicap (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

A return to soft ground looks like a big plus for WITHOUT FLAW, whose only career win came under similar conditions off a 9lb lower rating at Ffos Las in July. That was also under today's jockey Taylor Fisher, who takes off a valuable 3lb, and she could have enough to get the better of Chelmsford scorer Unico and Line Of Fire, who did it well when scoring at Brighton last time out and a mark of 71 looks workable on her handicap bow. Others to note include Happy Tears, Haumea and Marie's Secret.

MARIE'S SECRET has shaped encouragingly both starts since switched to nurseries, faring best of the main group when runner-up at Thirsk a week ago, and she can go one better with cheekpieces applied. Unico opened her account last time and isn't taken lightly on handicap debut, while Line of Fire also arrives on the back of a recent win.

A warm race of its type with nursery newcomers MEGANISSI and Haumea taken to dominate proceedings.

PIDOYNE was in good form on soft ground in the spring when two seconds preceded a victory at Tramore. A blunder two out harmed his chance when last seen at Tipperary in May and he may be able to resume progress despite an absence since then. Mr Mac Phisto was second at Cork in July before going one better at Navan earlier this month. A 5lb hike looks fair but testing ground would be a concern if the predicted rain arrives before this meeting. Chapel Street made the breakthrough over 2m4f at Wexford in June and was placed at the same venue next time when dropping back in trip. There could be a bit more to come from the Scorpion gelding.

STAR OFFICIAL is well handicapped on his runner-up at Limerick in July and given it's easy to excuse a lesser effort at Wexford since, he looks the way to go. Mr Macphisto was better than ever when winning last week so has to be feared, with Pidoyne another to consider.

Mr Macphisto looks a rock-solid each-way player now. A chance is taken on PARK OF KINGS, who could be far better than this mark

A comfortable winner over C&D in June, SANKARI has run with credit twice since. Conditions look set to be in his favour on this occasion and he could bounce back to winning form. The consistent Midnight Lir, who has been in the first two on four of his last six outings, can give him the most to think about. Course-winner Chumbaa and Instant Recall are capable of being in the shake-up as well.

MIDNIGHT LIR continues in form and is taken to resume winning ways. Union Island and Install Recall are both of interest now going handicapping and warrant a look.

The vote goes to interesting nursery debutant UNION ISLAND (nap). His main threats may be C&D winners Ganesha and Sankari.

15:00 Down Royal Maiden 7f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Of those with racecourse experience, the second-placed finish of Cornahilt Soldier and the fourth of Tachos stand out, though they were both well held at the line in those C&D events and will need to take another step forward to win this. Joseph O'Brien has his string in fine form with plenty of recent winners and it may be worth taking a chance on his unraced SLUICE. The Starspangledbanner filly is bred for this trip and could make a winning debut.

Twiced-raced TACHOS hasn't much to find on form with Cornahilt Soldier. and could well improve past her. Sluice and Lavender Haze are the interesting newcomers who need keeping an eye on in the market.

the nicely-bred SLUICE could be just that having won a barrier trial earlier this month, though this ground will be very different.

15:05 Warwick Handicap Chase (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

There are a few to consider here, with a tentative vote going to chasing debutant NOTNOWLINDA. The Dan Skelton-trained mare finished a respectable fourth over hurdles at Perth in April and, as a winner of her sole point-to-point starts, gives the impression that she could come into her own now entering this sphere. Are U Wise To That is another potential improver on his first appearance over fences, while Gold Link has five chase runs to his name and sets a fair standard to aim at.

GOLD LINK comes here in great nick and is fancied to go one better than his recent Stratford second and bag a second success in this sphere off an unchanged mark. Dan Skelton's chasing newcomer Notnowlinda could emerge as the chief threat ahead of in-form Romanor and another chasing debutant Are U Wise To That.

Preference is for GOLD LINK, who lost out only narrowly in a tactical race last month and could still have a bigger run in him.

15:15 Leicester Maiden (Class 3) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

An intriguing newcomers maiden and it may pay to side with MAJED, who cost 210,000 euros in May and is from the first crop of the very talented Magna Grecia. A half-brother to American Oaks winner Rhea Moon, he is bred to be smart for his esteemed connections and may have too much for Dosman, who is bred in the purple himself as a relative of a host of Group-level performers. Ambiente Friendly is another to be interested in with a top jockey booked.

A field of newcomers, and the 2 that stand out on paper are DOSMAN and Majed, with slight preference for Roger Varian's expensive son of Kingman. Telemark is another one to keep an eye on in the market.

The betting will provide clues but DOSMAN looks a likely type and is tentatively preferred to \bMajed.

LTO Selection:

15:20 Roscommon Maiden Hurdle 20f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

IRISKANA, who finished runner-up either side of a below par effort at Wexford, should be good enough to win a race of this nature. The Sam Curling-trained mare was only just denied on her most recent start and should appreciate the extra furlong here. It would be no surprise to see the daughter of No Risk At All gain a first career success. Lucky Viv is another coming into this race in good form having also occupied the runner-up spot last time out. Michael Barry's five-year-old is certainly capable of making her presence felt. Idol, a bumper winner at this track on her only appearance to date, is interesting on her first start since leaving Willie Mullins. Something has clearly been amiss as she hasn't been seen since August 2022 but the ability is certainly there.

LUCKY VIV is going the right way over hurdles and a repeat of the level she displayed when a close second ar Tramore last time may well suffice. Iriskana is the main threat on form, though Champersinthepark may well have won a point had she stood up back in February.

Preference is for IRISKANA who went close behind a useful gelding at Kilbeggan earlier this month; Champersinthepark is one to note

LTO Selection:

15:30 Hamilton Handicap (Class 4) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Ayr Poet arrives in fine form after holding on to win over a mile at Ayr on Friday but, given his keen nature, the eight-year-old may be worth taking on now upped to 1m4f. With that in mind, DETECTIVE could prove the solution to this puzzle. Dianne Sayer's gelding was runner-up at Carlisle earlier this month and a 1lb increase in the ratings looks more than fair. Restorer and Dundory also arrive in fine fettle and complete the shortlist.

DETECTIVE is on an appealing mark and shaped well in a slightly stronger contest than this at Carlisle last time, so he gets the marginal vote in a race where a case can be made for every runner. Ayr Poet has been in a rich vein of form for a while, so he's considered a threat, while Restorer is hard to rule out.

Topweight DETECTIVE is taken to get the better of fellow 7yo Dundory in this veterans' handicap.

15:35 Down Royal Maiden 7f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

GO SIOUX ME was an eye-cathcer when not getting the clearest of runs late on at Naas in July and this looks like an ideal opportunity to set the record straight. The son of Sioux Nation clearly has plenty of ability and he may be open to more improvement than Muhaarar's Girl, who is bit more exposed and has been runner-up on her last three starts. Greek Flower may be a maiden through 11 starts but she has run with credit of late and cannot be ruled out either.

GO SIOUX ME has shaped well in a couple of visits to Naas and, with the promise of better to come, he is taken to make it third time lucky. The obvious threat is Muhaarar's Girl, who has found just one too good on each of her last three starts but Greek Flower is also a live candidate.

On the form GO SIOUX ME showed behind Group 3 winner Clever And Cool at Naas last time, he should win this.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

A taking winner at Ludlow on his latest outing, preference is for GWENNIE MAY BOY as he returns from a summer break. The form of that race has worked out well in the interim and a 6lb rise may not be enough to prevent him going in again. An easy winner himself at Uttoxeter last month, Presenting Pete is open to further improvement, while the consistent Nibras Gold cannot be ruled out either.

PRESENTING PETE had something to spare when scoring at Uttoxeter and he's fancied to go in again at the likely expense of Gwennie May Boy, another comfortable last-time-out winner. Nibras Gold is also considered.

The most obvious answer is PRESENTING PETE, who comes here after winning in pretty good style at Uttoxeter last month.

LTO Selection:

15:50 Leicester Handicap (Class 5) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Buddy's Beauty was narrowly denied in her hat-trick bid when finishing runner-up at Nottingham last month and John Gallagher's filly may find that an additional 3lb rise in the ratings is enough to prevent her from regaining the winning thread today. FOUR ADAAY has been knocking on the door of late and the five-year-old could be rewarded for her consistency with a third success of the year in this contest. The downgraded Sera Dawn is also worth a second look.

FOUR ADAAY shaped well in defeat once more when runner-up at Sandown on her latest outing, finishing best of those to come from off the pace, so she could be ready to return to winning ways. Heading the list of dangers is C&D winner Buddy's Beauty, ahead of Speedacus.

Four Adaay and Herakles are of interest but SARAH'S VERSE should enjoy conditions and is on a handy mark on this year's best.

15:55 Roscommon Handicap Hurdle 24f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

READ TO RETURN had caught the eye on a few occasions under both codes prior to finishing second over fences at Tramore in April. The Tony Martin-trained gelding has not been seen since but has won off a break in the past so fitness is unlikely to be an issue. He is coming into this a fresh horse so has to be a contender. Hand Over Fist, a winner at this track last time, deserves plenty of respect in his hat-trick bid. The Henry De Bromhead-trained gelding is a lightly raced individual who could still be ahead of the handicapper. Fill The Tank was runner-up to the aforementioned horse here last time so should be competitive at these revised weights. Trainer Aengus King had a winner at Listowel in mid week so his string couldn't be in better order at present.

This step up in trip could be just the ticket for READ TO RETURN, who was runner-up in a maiden chase at Tramore in April and is on a fair-looking mark now making his handicap debut back over hurdles. Hand Over Fist and Fill The Tank, first and second respectively here last month, should both be involved in the finish once again, while Good World is also shortlisted.

A trappy staying race. FILL THE TANK is back in form and likes Roscommon, as does the thriving Hand Over Fist. Benkei is noted

16:05 Hamilton Handicap (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

SACRED FALLS was turned over at shorts odds when runner-up in novice company at Musselburgh eight days ago. However, the Dark Angel filly lost little in defeat that day and a breakthrough success could be in the offing now returning to handicap company. Glendown posted a career-best performance when winning over 6f at Chester recently, but a 7lb rise in the ratings may leave Tim Easterby's gelding vulnerable, with fellow last-time-out winner Jack Of Clubs taken to emerge as the chief threat.

SACRED FALLS arrives on the back of a string of seconds and she probably has a bigger effort in the locker, so she's preferred to last-time-out winners Glendown and Jack of Clubs

Another chance is given to SACRED FALLS, who may show progress back over this C&D. Glendown is second choice.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Little separates Cavallo Pazzo (second) and Queenie St Clair (third) judged on their encounter over 6f at Fairyhouse a week ago, with the former making slightly more appeal now returning to 7f. However, it may pay to take a chance on MY KURKUM, who represents the Tony Martin yard. The five-year-old has offered glimmers of promise in three handicap starts this season and he could take advantage of a 6lb drop in the ratings since his last appearance.

QUEENIE ST CLAIR didn't enjoy the best of runs when finishing third, hot on the heels of the re-opposing runner-up Cavallo Pazzo, in a big-field Fairyhouse handicap last week. The return to this trip should be in her favour and, granted better luck here, she may well be the answer. Cavallo Pazzo could also benefit from this step back up to 7f and he should be on the premises once more, while Blue Peak and Bellick are others to consider.

Noel Meade's filly QUEENIE ST CLAIRE may be better for her Fairyhouse run and is tipped to reverse form with Cavallo Pazzo

16:15 Warwick Handicap Chase (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Famoso got up to win by a neck last time out at Stratford, where he had TIKKINTHEBOX a neck behind him, but he is yet to race here and may not be able to confirm that form over a furlong shorter. The selection should be fully wound up after two runs this summer and although unlikely to be improving at the age of 11, he is a C&D winner and may have one more win off an attractive mark. Jet Of Dreams has some solid placed form without a win under Rules and may follow them home in third.

There is a degree of guesswork involved here, with question marks pretty much all round. MONOXIDE's 0-31 record over jumps hardly sets the pulse racing but he wasn't disgraced off a higher hurdles mark at Perth last time and could be worth chancing. Though Jet of Dreams misfired in the Stratford race in which Famoso and Tikkinthebox occupied the first two places, he would be a big player if reproducing the form of his penultimate start. Lonimoss Bareliere also has a fighting chance.

16:25 Leicester Maiden (Class 4) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

There were plenty of positives to be taken from DOHA's staying-on third on debut over 1m at Kempton earlier this month and Ralph Beckett's filly should take all the beating if seeing out the 1m2f distance. Queen Of The Pride is another potential improver now upped in trip and may give the selection most to think about, ahead of Spring Chorus, who wasn't disgraced when beaten six lengths on her opening run at Pontefract in July.

Exceptionally-bred filly DOHA made an encouraging start when third at Kempton 17 days ago and, with the step up in trip likely to suit, she is taken to get off the mark at the second time of asking. Queen of The Pride can step forward from her initial experience to give the selection most to think about, with Safety Catch the pick of the remainder.

There was plenty of promise in the debut effort of DOHA at Kempton and this superbly bred filly should relish today's longer distance.

LTO Selection:

16:30 Roscommon Maiden Chase 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

The Willie Mullins-trained HERCULE DU SEUIL stands out in this company. A winner of a similar race at the Galway festival last month, the six-year-old looks a cut above your typical novice chaser at this stage of the season. It would be a major surprise if the JP McManus-owned gelding doesn't complete a four-timer. Solness, who has twice finished runner-up to Hercule Du Seuil this term could be set to do so for a third successive time. The Joseph O'Brien-trained five-year-old is clearly a decent horse but has been unfortunate to bump into an above average performer in the son of Saddler Maker. Calico, who made a winning debut over fences at Galway earlier this month, has to be a contender given his four-year-old weight allowance.

HERCULE DU SEUIL hasn't looked back since sent over fences and can rattle off his four-timer here at the chief expense of Galway-scorer Calico, who also has better days ahead of her. Solness also has the form to play a part in this intriguing Grade 3 chase.

Really testing ground would be a worry for HERCULE DU SEUIL but he's hard to oppose and can once again prove too strong for Solness

LTO Selection:

16:40 Hamilton Handicap (Class 5) 9f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Temper Trap likes it here, with five course and distance wins, but he still needs a career best off this mark and may have to settle for a place. Global Spirit carries a 4lb penalty after winning by less than a length at Pontefract last week and that may make an eighth career success more difficult, and preference lies with LEAP YEAR LAD. Caught late on over further at Haydock last month, the three-year-old may do better over this trip and maintain his unbeaten Hamilton record.

GLOBAL SPIRIT showed there's still plenty of life in his 8-y-o legs when successful at Pontefract last week and might be able to strike again while the iron's hot. Iain Jardine's Can't Stop Now arrives on the back of 2 good efforts and is second choice ahead of Leap Year Lad, who was successful here back in May.

Several runners are similarly appealing. Slight preference is for CAN'T STOP NOW, ahead of Leap Year Lad.

16:45 Down Royal Handicap 10f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

This may be a tricky handicap puzzle for punters to solve but another bold showing looks likely from CHICA LINDA, who won well over an extended 1m2f at Sligo before getting going too late when fourth over a furlong shorter at Clonmel last time. Back up in distance and dropped 1lb for her last run, Mark Fahey's filly is narrowly preferred to Red Trail, who won this race off 8lb lower last year and she was successful when last seen at Gowran in July. Portreath has been threatening to score and could be dangerous if getting an easy lead now upped in trip.

RED TRAIL won back to back last year and might be able to defy a small rise for her latest Gowran success. Portreath has been knocking on the door since switching to handicaps and ought to be on the premises again. Chica Linda and Mr Mills also make the shortlist.

A step up in trip here could help to bring out the best in \bPORTREATHp who has been running consistently over slightly shorter distances

16:50 Warwick Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 25f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Good News would have a big say if he can bounce back to form after a distant fifth at Fontwell in May, having won nine times over hurdles and six of them came over three miles or further. He can go well off this mark but preference is still for the lightly-raced PINNACLE PEAK. A winner at Worcester on his return, he has been put up 4lb for that but this step up in trip may spark further improvement. The returning Chives has gone well fresh before and is another for the shortlist for a top stable.

A 4lb rise for PINNACLE PEAK's Worcester success looks more than fair given that he pulled clear with the thriving Secret Trix. The autumn seems to bring out the best in Sea The Clouds and he's another last-time-out winner who still looks nicely treated from his revised mark so he's second choice ahead of last week's Worcester runner-up Edison Kent.

A recent second, in a race not run to suit, suggested EDISON KENT (nap) is ready to win if/when he gets a stronger pace to chase.

16:55 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Chifa has some good form here with four of his five career victories coming over this C&D, but he races off 4lb higher than his latest win in May and needs to do more from the nine stall. BEAUZON is more consistent than most in this field with a top four finish in four of his five starts this season (one win) and, if a change of yard brings him back to his best, he could come home in front. Touchwood and Vortigan also warrant plenty of respect.

CHIFA is 4 from 5 in AW handicaps since October so it would come as no surprise whatsoever were he to leave his recent turf form behind back on this surface. Touchwood is a very solid rival, while it will be interesting to see what the market makes of Beauzon starting out for a respected stable.

The draw could have been kinder but CHIFA has a great strike-rate over C&D in the last year and may be able to find a way round it.

LTO Selection:

17:00 Leicester Handicap (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Trainer Tony Carroll and jockey Mollie Phillips teamed up to win this last year and they are back with recent Brighton fourth Holbache, though he will need to build on that to get into the mix here. San Francisco Bay arrives in winning form after scoring easily at Lingfield but he may not be the same horse on a softer surface off 7lb higher, suggesting THORNABY PEARL could have the edge. A winner at Ripon off 3lb lower on soft ground in July, he is capable of another big run here with conditions in his favour.

SAN FRANCISCO BAY gained a second win of the summer when scoring at Lingfield in July and he can pick up where he left off to add to his tally. Albert Cee has also shown improved form for Peter Chapple-Hyam this year and enters calculations despite his time off, with Thornaby Pearl completing the shortlist.

Lightly raced 4yo SPIRIT OF CAHALA raced away from the main action when a creditable third on last month's belated seasonal debut.

LTO Selection:

17:05 Roscommon Handicap Chase 21f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Course and distance winner NORWIGI should appreciate this easier task having finished second in a higher grade at Galway last time. Prior to that run, the JP McManus owned mare had won her previous two starts. Downtown Queen went close at Wexford on her penultimate start before making the breakthrough at that same venue last time. The Henry De Bromhead stable have been in excellent form in recent days, so a big run from the six-year-old looks in the offing. Menindee who won either side of a bad run is harder to quantify but if the David Christie-trained mare is on a going day then she is certainly good enough to add to her four career wins to date. Darragh O'Keeffe, who has been in the saddle for the last two of those, retains the partnership here.

DOWNTOWN QUEEN showed herself to be better than ever when going in at Wexford and a 7 lb weight rise doesn't look sufficient to prevent her from following up. Bonnie Kellie is feared most if, as expected, bouncing back from her final-fence exit at Punchestown, with C&D winner Norwigi also firmly in the picture.

This race was probably one that LIZRONA's connections had in mind and the ground has come right; she can defy an absence

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Without a recent winner in this line-up it may pay to side with DANDYS GOLD, whose stable have been in among the winners in recent weeks. She has been dropped another 2lb after her seventh at Carlisle last time, but seems better with the cut in the ground that can be expected here. Willingly is an obvious danger after her Ffos Las second as she debuts for Mark Usher, while Woobay drops in class and could go well.

CHRISMOLTISANTI starts out for Adrian Nicholls on a tempting mark and is chanced in this low-grade handicap. Woobay is respected down in class and Earn Your Stripes could also go well.

Maiden WOOBAY may take advantage of this drop in class and get off the mark. Willingly is second choice.

LTO Selection:

17:20 Down Royal Handicap 13f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

In a wide-open handicap it may pay to side with RODNEY BAY, who was beaten less than a length when third last time out despite being denied a clear run a furlong out. He races off the same mark here and could get the better of Rapparee Champ who makes his handicap debut for last year's winning stable and is open to improvement. Eastern Legend, No Hassle and Brogue are all capable of getting involved in the race for the places.

Joseph O'Brien's RAPPAREE CHAMP appeals as one who can go on to better things in handicaps and gets the nod in an interesting finale. Luminous Light has been in good form under both codes and is second choice ahead of last week's Listowel winner Eastern Legend.

It may pay to focus on the younger generation. Eastern Legend has been on the upgrade but the unexposed RAPPAREE CHAMP is preferred

LTO Selection:

17:30 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Trainer Darryll Holland won this last year with a maiden off a lowly mark and he bids to repeat the dose with the 59-rated Justahunch, who steps up in trip on his all-weather debut after finishing sixth off 3lb higher at Brighton. However, TROPICAL AIR is readily preferred after the Showcasing gelding was sent clear to win by three lengths over this trip at Lingfield last time out and although he has been put up 8lb for that victory, there may be more to come from Charlie Johnston's gelding. Stable companion Kandy House also makes the shortlist with Oisin Murphy in the saddle.

TROPICAL AIR blew apart a nursery at Lingfield last week and on that evidence his revised mark may not be enough to prevent a quick follow up. The return to the AW and 7f will suit Irrelevant and he's a big danger, with Diddy Man completing the shortlist.

Blinkers have made the difference with IRRELEVANT, who'll be happier back down in trip, and he's preferred to Diddy Man.

17:35 Leicester Handicap (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

ASTRONOMICA found the quicker going and a rise in class too much for her last time out at Newmarket when third off this mark, but the lightly-raced Belardo filly may get back to winning ways now back on a softer surface and in this grade. Clipsham Gold has won two of her three starts here and enters calculations, although her best form is on a quicker surface, while Eponina represents last season's winning trainer of this race and scored over this C&D off the same mark in 2022.

BELIEVE YOU ME opened her account in good style at Chepstow in July and, if in the same form here, it's highly unlikely that a 6 lb rise in the weights will be sufficient to prevent her from going in again. Valkyrian and Lunarscape are both interesting each-way alternatives off their reduced marks, while Exigency and Pearly Star can be expected to give good accounts.

If Exigency can keep straight she'll go very close but ASTRONOMICA is marginally preferred now back on slower ground.

17:40 Roscommon NH Flat Race 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

GLENS LULLABY, a half-sister to a bumper winner for Jonjo O'Neill, catches the eye on her racecourse debut. Out of Grade 1 winning mare, Glens Melody, she could hardly have a better pedigree. John Gleeson is a positive jockey booking for the Peter Fahey-trained filly. D'jo Dela Barriere shaped with some promise on his initial outing when fifth at Killarney in May. Trainer Sam Curling does well with his bumper horses so the gelding should be noted in the market. Fleur In The Park, a half-brother to a black type horse in France, is an interesting contender for Andrew Slattery. The Tipperary man does exceptionally well with the few horses he runs in this category.

GLENS LULLABY is related to a bumper winner and hails from a shrewd operation, so she's worth chancing to make a winning start if the market speaks in her favour. Fellow newcomer Fleur In The Park is a danger and Prove Yourself is the clear pick of those with experience.

The Killarney fifth of D'JO DELA BARRIERE (nap) is arguably stronger form than the more recent Ballinrobe third of Prove Yourself

18:00 Wolverhampton Stakes (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

NEZEEH powered home to win by over three lengths on his debut at Thirsk last month and having been gelded since, he is taken to make it two wins from two this evening. He does have to give weight away to all of these but has scope for plenty of improvement and may be the class act in this field. Biographer showed up well before being outpaced late on over 7f at Kempton first time out and seems sure to have learned from that experience. The drop in trip may suit and he could get the better of Pen Portrait in the race for second.

NEZEEH looked a good prospect when going in at the first time of asking at Thirsk and is fancied to defy a 7 lb penalty at the chief expense of Pen Portrait who came in a promising debut third at the same track and can build on it now. Kempton-third Biographer also has better days ahead of him and warrants plenty of respect, along with newcomers High Dreams and Giorgio M.

One of three to come away on debut, PEN PORTRAIT can make the most of the 7lb he's receiving from the wide-drawn Nezeeh.

18:30 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Next Second merits respect following her narrow win over C&D last time but a 3lb rise will make her life tougher here. With that in mind, preference is for SUANNI, who was a close fourth on that occasion and could reverse the form on 4lb better terms. Rewilding edges out Storm Melody and Coronation Cottage to be the pick of the remainder.

LOLA'S MOMENT didn't enjoy the rub of the green when sixth at Musselburgh last time and can capitalise on a 2 lb lower mark now to gain her breakthrough success. Next Second has an excellent record here and rates a big threat though, while in-form duo Suanni and Storm Melody can have a say too in an open handicap.

The vote goes to SUANNI, who's drawn to attack and boasts a good record at this time of year. Toplight is also considered.

Well held in two handicap runs this summer; down in grade but carries risk.
LTO Selection:

19:00 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

UNDER CURFEW has made the frame on his last three starts and the in-form gelding gets the vote off a 1lb lower mark than when a close third over 5f here two starts ago. Stella Blue has to be of some interest having bounced back to form at Southwell last time, while Show Compassion and Outreach also merit places on the shortlist.

A tight-knit sprint in which UNDER CURFEW is taken to end a long losing run now he returns to his optimum trip with Oisin Murphy also in the saddle for the first time. Stella Blue is feared most on the back of her resurgent Southwell fourth. Show Compassion and Exorbitant appeal as the pick of the rest for minor honours.

Plenty of possibles but SHOW COMPASSION has been running well on AW all year and gets the vote ahead of Under Curfew.

LTO Selection:

19:30 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

The hat-trick seeking SEND IN THE CLOUDS does not have to carry a penalty for his win over 1m2f at Brighton a week ago and the six-year-old is hard to oppose as a result. Chinese Whisperer bounced back to form when a close third in a similar event to this at Newcastle a couple of weeks ago, while Clandestinely and Caramay are others who could go well.

SEND IN THE CLOUDS arrives in great order and also escapes a penalty for his recent apprentice success at Brighton so is impossible to oppose. Chinese Whisperer signalled he's ready to go close again though when third at Newcastle so should ensure Tony Carroll's 6-y-o doesn't have things all his own way. Global Tycoon and Rumnotred are both weighted to have a say too and need considering for minor honours.

Rated a deal higher in the past, CHINESE WHISPERER (nap) gets the nod having shown much more last time.

LTO Selection:

20:00 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Tawtheef returns to the all-weather after a disappointing seventh at Epsom and as he has won over C&D, he has to enter calculations. DARKER is still a maiden after 13 starts but gave a good account of himself when third at Chelmsford last time out, running on well over a mile and suggesting he will appreciate this step back up in distance. Zakram could be a value alternative with the booking of Richard Kingscote catching the eye.

It's interesting that Phil Kirby has engaged Oisin Murphy for CASA LUNA and this filly might be worth chancing having dipped to a mark in the 40s for the first time. Tawtheef may have needed the run at Epsom last time and is respected back at a venue where he's tasted success before. The unexposed All Inclusive completes the shortlist.

There are positives with OPTICALITY, who ran well off higher marks here a couple of times this time last year.

LTO Selection:

20:30 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 8.5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Something must have been amiss with STRATEGIC FORTUNE last time out when he was a distant last here and he may be better judged on his February course victory over a furlong further off 3lb lower. He has won here three times and may make that four if he can bounce back to his best today. Bo Taifan has won three of his last four starts and enters calculations despite a further 5lb rise in the handicap, while Style Of Life put in an improved effort when second at Ffos Las in July and is another to consider on her handicap debut.

BO TAIFAN is on a roll at present and might be able to defy the handicapper again. Ticket To Alaska is more consistent than the majority at this level and will be a threat if a wide draw doesn't prove a negative. Jamie Osborne handicapper newcomer Style of Life completes the shortlist.

Although well beaten in a better race on Saturday, VOLTAIC has a good record here and is taken to beat the unexposed Style Of Life.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses.
