LTO Selection:

13:20 Cork Maiden 5f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

This looks a good opportunity for SWEETEST. She beat five of these rivals over her first three starts and she should be able to confirm that form now. A €420,000 yearling purchase, the Aidan O'Brien trained selection finished third to Prime Art at Naas on her most recent outing, with that one since giving the form a boost by winning a Group 3 at Ayr on Saturday. Heavenly Being was another expensive yearling purchase and is a half-sister to 2021 Matron Stakes winner No Speak Alexander. The Jessica Harrington-trained bay has two solid efforts to her name and looks well-capable of making her presence felt. Verified is surprisingly rated higher than the selection and it'll be interesting to see how he fares. Sixth of seven in the Blenheim Stakes at Fairyhouse last week, he should give a good account of himself. A fine third on her most recent start at the Curragh, Staysound Susie is sure to have plenty of supporters, while Bonbon is another that can't be discounted.

Preference is for STAYSOUND SUSIE, who upped her game at the Curragh last month and should be suited by the drop back to the minimum trip. Sweetest and Heavenly Being look the likeliest dangers.

Though thrice a beaten favourite, SWEETEST(nap) has the best form courtesy of her 2l defeat by a subsequent Group 3 winner last time.

LTO Selection:

13:50 Lingfield Handicap (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Swiss Pride likes it here with seven of his nine career wins coming over C&D, and he cannot be ignored on his return to a synthetic surface despite a poor ninth at Bath on turf last month. Laoisman got off the mark at Chepstow comfortably enough and may have more to offer after just the seven starts, but TYGER BAY is narrowly preferred. Dropped in class after a solid sixth at Southwell, he has won three times here and the booking of Neil Callan catches the eye.

This can go to LAOISMAN, who won in decisive fashion at Chepstow earlier this month and returns to handicaps off a handy mark. Lady Dreamer and Agostino rate the principal dangers.

Although LAOISMAN is unproven on AW he has looked the part since dropped to 6f on turf and should have more to offer off this mark.

LTO Selection:

13:55 Cork Handicap 6f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Races of this nature are rarely appealing from a betting perspective and this one is no exception. KENDALL ROY justified plenty of market support when successful at Naas less than a fortnight ago and he might be able to follow-up. The tongue-strap which was fitted for the first time at Naas, remains in place now and it'll be interesting to see how far he can progress. Fourth, fifth and sixth in the valuable Goffs Sportsman's Challenge, Velvet Skies, Bid For Chester and Ocean Baroque renew rivalries and all have solid claims. The latter is fitted with cheekpieces for the first time and with Conor Stone Walsh claiming a valuable 7lb, he should go close. Top-weight Alpha Cephi and Navan winner Kiki Roberts are other leading hopes.

KENDALL ROY landed a bit of a touch when scoring on his nursery debut at Naas 12 days ago and a subsequent 8 lb rise may not be enough to prevent the follow up. He's taken to get the better of Alpha Cephei, who drops back in trip for his handicap bow and should be capable of making an impact. Velvet Skies and Kiki Roberts can do battle for minor honours.

It could be worth taking a chance on ALPHA CEPHEI. The form of his maiden 3rd at Leopardstown is solid and he has handled soft ground.

LTO Selection:

14:05 Nottingham Maiden (Class 4) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Mashadi sets the form standard, especially with his neck second at Bath in May, but he has found one too good on all four starts now and was turned over at odds of 2/9 when last seen in June. He may have to play second fiddle again, this time to JUNGLE JIM, who stepped up on his Chester debut when a promising second (Irish Nectar fourth) at Thirsk last month and the booking of William Buick suggests there could be more to come from the David Evans-trained gelding. Sea Of Angels showed signs of ability first time out at Lingfield and should have more to offer now.

JUNGLE JIM shaped with plenty of promise when runner-up in a reasonable maiden at Thirsk last month and, having been gelded since, further progress looks forthcoming. With Buick taking over, he's marginally preferred to Mashadi, who sets the clear standard but has had 4 goes and has moved yards since failing to land the odds at Brighton. Of the others, Starring Role could be a different proposition this time.

While an absence of more than three months is not ideal, MASHADI has the form to win this on his debut for a new yard.

14:15 Beverley Handicap (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Broctune Red has strong claims on the form of his half-length third over this trip at Newcastle last month and he is able to race off a 5lb lower mark now back on grass. However, his record of just one win from 24 starts on turf tempers enthusiasm and preference is for WESTERN BEAT, who went close off a 1lb higher perch over this C&D on her penultimate outing and she seems to like it here. Star Start got within half a length of landing a 1m2f double at Leicester on his latest outing and should play a leading role again, despite going up 4lb for that effort.

STAR START is holding his form really well and, having found only an improver too strong at Leicester on his most recent outing, he appeals as the most persuasive option. Western Beat, Panama City and Broctune Red are all worthy of respect, though.

The suggestion is PANAMA CITY who has been running well enough recently to suggest he can pick up a race like this.

LTO Selection:

14:25 Lingfield Handicap (Class 4) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

With plenty of winning form to work with, big runs look on the cards from the hat-trick seeking Hint Of The Jungle, who battled back to win by a neck on his all-weather debut at Wolverhampton, and perhaps comfortable Southwell novice winner Boann, but preference is still for TOWNSEND MANOR. The son of Advertise put in a much improved effort to make the running and come home over three lengths clear of the field at Redcar last week, and a 6lb penalty may not stop him doubling up.

The handicapper might have underestimated HINT OF THE JUNGLE with an opening mark in the 70s and he's taken to complete a hat-trick from a handy inside draw. Nazron has hinted that he may not be entirely straightforward but he travels like one who should take to AW and he's feared most ahead of last month's C&D winner Hot Front.

The pick is NAZRON, who was bumped at the start and did not enjoy a clear run before taking third in a good Sandown maiden last month.

LTO Selection:

14:30 Cork Handicap 6f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

RUN FORREST RUN is the suggestion in this wide-open affair. Successful on soft ground at the Curragh in May, he has performed with credit in four starts since. Not beaten far when seventh at Listowel last week, the Bobby's Kitten five-year-old will be ridden by Conor Stone-Walsh who claims a valuable 7lb. With Colin Keane booked for the ride, Rose Of Malta is given second preference. Already twice a runner-up, she was a solid fourth of 25 on her most recent start and a reproduction of that effort should see her go close. Down to a career low mark of 48, it'll be interesting to see how six-time winner Stanhope fares, while fellow handicap veteran Teddy Boy is another that warrants respect. In truth, a case can be made for many others, with Improving (first time blinkers), Markievicz, Es Vedra and Eriskay a few more for the shortlist.

RUN FORREST RUN has been shaping better than the bare result since scoring at the Curragh in May and, if everything goes his way, he could land a race that looks quite weak for the numbers. Es Vedra is a danger on second start for her current stable and Eriskay is also feared.

On her close 2nd over 7f here last year on heavy, ROSE OF MALTA should be able to win this off a 12lb lower mark.

14:40 Nottingham Maiden (Class 4) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

The form of TIMES EDITION's debut third over 7f at Salisbury has been boosted by second subsequently landing a conditions race and the manner in which Roger Varian's charge stayed on that day suggests she will relish this extra furlong. Where I Wanna Be was no match for a potentially useful stablemate when fourth over 1m at Kempton recently, but caught the eye doing good work late on once the penny dropped and Ralph Beckket's inmate must be feared on her turf bow. Zainabb wasn't beaten far at Beverley earlier this month and completes the shortlist.

TIMES EDITION ran a hugely encouraging race on her debut at Salisbury, looking better as it wore on, and she seems sure to go close with improvement expected up in trip here. There is also plenty more to come from Where I Wanna Be and she's feared, while Lisbon Heat is an interesting newcomer.

Although a well-held third at Salisbury, TIMES EDITION chased home likely Group-class fillies who had the benefit of experience.

14:50 Beverley Stakes (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

MIDDLESEX caught the eye picking up well for third after being outpaced on debut over a similar trip at Wolverhampton and, with that experience under her belt, Charlie Johnston's filly is fancied to improve past Really Darn Hot to score here. The latter was a couple of lengths ahead of the selection in second that day but subsequently failed to land a serious blow at Lingfield and was soundly beaten on her sole turf start, albeit in a much tougher race than this. Nina Rapida has shown signs of ability in two 7f outings and should appreciate this step up in trip.

MIDDLESEX showed plenty on her debut at Wolverhampton and should know a lot more this time. She gets the vote over Nina Rapida and Really Darn Hot.

Although the softer ground is a concern, MIDDLESEX ran well enough on her debut to suggest she can take this.

15:00 Lingfield Handicap (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

With a distinct lack of recent winning form it may pay to side with NORDIC GLORY, who has won three times, all of them here and two of them over this trip. The gelding has been tumbling down the handicap after some below-par efforts but he tries cheekpieces now which may help him focus. Zing Up arrives in good form after a second and a third on her last two starts, while Arzaak is another to consider.

BIG TIME MAYBE knows where the winning post is here and might be worth chancing as he's back on a winning mark and has an ideal draw for a front runner. Arzaak is on a long losing run but he's reached the frame 4 times in his last 5 outings and can fill the forecast spot ahead of Zing Up.

Tom Ward's ZING UP seemed to be aided by cheekpieces when placed on his last couple of outings and might be the answer.

15:05 Cork Handicap 6f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

COUMSHINGAUN might be able to bounce back to form in this competitive heat. After three places efforts in early summer, the Fastnet Rock four-year-old was successful at the Curragh in July but has been ultimately disappointing since. Fitted with cheekpieces for the first time now and with teenage apprentice Calum Hogan claiming a valuable 10lb, it'll be disappointing if she fails to make an impact. Handicap debutant Daisy Jones is given second preference. The Takashi Kodama trained five-year-old had four subsequent winners in behind when second on her penultimate start at Navan and she looks well-treated here on a mark of 64. A dual course victor, top-weight Screen Siren is sure to have plenty of supporters as she bids to win over six-furlongs for the first time. Amanirenas, Iva Batt and Saturn Seven are other leading hopes.

A chance is taken on the Ado McGuinness-trained IVA BATT who shaped better than the result last time and has dipped to a career-low mark. Screen Siren wasn't seen to best effect at the Curragh last time and it's interesting Colin Keane retains the ride so she's second choice ahead of Gavin Cromwell's Transcendental.

Proven in soft ground and capable of running well fresh, DAISY JONES might be able to get off the mark on handicap debut.

LTO Selection:

15:15 Nottingham Handicap (Class 2) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

KNICKS confirmed the promise of his Ayr second in July when an unlucky loser over this trip at Carlisle last time, as he flashed home after traffic problems to be beaten just half a length at the line, and Karl Burke's colt is taken reserve the form with reopposing stablemate Biloxi Boy. The latter was just ahead in second that day but had the run of the race out in front and is 1lb worse off with the selection this time. Tierney has remained in good heart since his Haydock success off 7lb lower in July and warrants respect, along with Eminny.

KNICKS left the impression he was a little unlucky not to win when third at Carlisle 13 days ago and is well worth another chance to gain compensation under similar conditions. Eminny found some improvement on her most recent outing at Sandown and must enter calculations, along with Charlie Mason, who's took his form up a notch since being fitted with a visor.

Biloxi Boy has twice finished ahead of KNICKS but was lucky to do so last time. The latter should have won at Carlisle.

LTO Selection:

15:25 Beverley Stakes (Class 5) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Pontefract winner ZIGGY'S CONDOR filled the runner-up berth in a competitive sales race over 6f at York before finishing third over the same C&D 16 days ago, form which has been boosted by the fourth scoring since. This looks easier and he is fancied to make the drop in trip a winning one, possibly at the main expense of Gladly Ever After, who also finished ahead of a subsequent winner when third over a furlong further at Windsor last time. Circus Lion only found one too good at Redcar last Monday and completes the shortlist.

ZIGGY'S CONDOR hasn't done a lot wrong in defeat having made a winning debut in July and he's fancied to successfully concede weight all round. Circus Lion and Gladly Ever After head the opposition.

The choice is PALS BATTALION who was a good third at Redcar last week and should be even more effective on this stiffer track.

LTO Selection:

15:35 Lingfield Handicap (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Supaspecialawesome has finished a close second on his last two starts and should have his say, but he may have to play second fiddle again, this time to BELO HORIZONTE. Richard Spencer's gelding has won all four starts since switching to handicaps, including over this C&D the last twice, and the ease with which he scored on his latest outing suggests a 7lb rise for that victory may not be enough to prevent him going in again. Renesmee arrives on the back of a 1m success at York off a 4lb lower mark and is another to consider, along with consistent C&D winner Lordsbridge Girl.

The 5-timer beckons for BELO HORIZONTE, who was by no means fully extended to rack up his 4th win in a row over C&D just under 3 weeks ago and Richard Spencer's progressive 3-y-o looks the way to go despite his wide stall. Hiromichi returned to form when runner-up at Musselburgh recently, and he could emerge as the main danger, ahead of Supaspecialawesome and Hoornblower.

There is still no strong temptation to oppose BELO HORIZONTE, who has made tremendous progress in recent weeks.

15:40 Cork Maiden 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

WENDLA is a granddaughter of Hasili, which produced six Group 1 winners, including Dansili and this filly's dam Intercontinental. Intercontinental has yet to produce a foal of note and while the selection is her 12th, is by a stallion which has produced smart soft-ground winners and represents a yard with an excellent course record. Ezeliya was supported when showing promise on debut. Out of a Group 2 winner and from the family of Ascot Gold Cup winners Enzeli and Estimate, she should improve from Leopardstown - having been slowly away, but meets softer ground. Flight Of Fancy is a sister to six smart winners, including top-level victor Johannes Vermeer. Her rider also claims 5lb but her yard's debutantes generally improve from debut. Stablemate Get looks second-string but is a sister to three black-type performers and was a 360,000gns yearling. Into The Grove, a half-sister to a Group 2 winner, and Higher Leaves, a half-sister to a Group 3 winner, could each be smart. Whisper A Prayer was behind Ezeliya on debut while With Style needs to improve.

WENDLA is one of a number of interesting newcomers and gets the vote before market clues. Aidan O'Brien runs an appealing pair in Flight of Fancy and Get, while Dermot Weld's Ezeliya is the clear pick of those with experience and seems sure to improve.

The newcomers are interesting but EZELIYA ran a really nice first race at Leopardstown.

15:50 Nottingham Handicap (Class 2) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

PINAFORE is still of low mileage and may be up to defying the 3lb rise in the handicap incurred after finishing a respectable sixth in a heritage handicap at York last month. That piece of form has a solid feel and, with the return to six furlongs an added bonus, a repeat of last month's C&D success under Tom Marquand is a distinct possibility. Runner-up in that race, Northern Spirit is noted with an 8lb pull this time, while Fantasy Master and Spirit Of Applause complete the shortlist.

Having been an easy winner over C&D last month, PINAFORE was unable to reproduce that effort dropped to the minimum trip at York 8 days later, but she's been freshened up for this and looks sure to go close back up in distance. The main danger may emerge from Billyjoh, who shaped encouragingly taking on his elders for the first time and is still not quite the finished article. Northern Spirit and Havana Rum can do battle for third spot.

Pinafore has to prove she wants it slow but there are no such concerns for NORTHERN SPIRIT who can gain his fourth win of the year.

16:00 Beverley Stakes (Class 2) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

Korker (14th) retains ability and holds a reasonable chance of returning to winning ways. However, he also has a habit of fluffing the start and was a long way adrift of Looking For Lynda (eighth) when they clashed at York last month. Nevertheless, this is a drop in class for MARINE WAVE, who was placed in the Arran Stakes at Ayr last week and is hard to oppose with the age and sex allowances boosting her claims.

A potential match on paper between KORKER and Marine Wave, with preference for Karl Burke's smart handicapper who has run some huge races in defeat this term (runner-up 3 times) and can shrug off a lesser effort at York last month. The selection's stablemate Looking For Lynda was back to winning ways last time and could capitalise should either of the main protagonists fluff their lines.

Preference is for reliable MARINE WAVE (nap), who can gain a deserved first win of 2023 after posting a series of useful runs.

LTO Selection:

16:10 Lingfield Maiden (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Red Hat Eagle and Doras Tamar have shown glimpses of ability and will be looking to put their experience to good use, but they don't set the bar very high and this could be a good opportunity for MONKMOOR PIP to make a winning debut. Representing a trainer who has been firing in the winners of late, Hugo Palmer's charge is a half-sister to an all-weather winner and he is narrowly preferred to fellow newcomer Flickering Flame, whose stable is also in good form.

MONKMOOR PIP is from an excellent, speedy family and he could be sufficiently tuned up to make a successful start at the likely expense of fellow newcomer Flickering Flame, who also has an appealing pedigree. Red Hat Eagle is the best of those with form.

This could be a good opportunity for RED HAT EAGLE, who ran to a fair level in his last two handicaps.

LTO Selection:

16:15 Cork Listed 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Dependable POWER UNDER ME is suited by this distance and soft ground. His form at a mile is smart and while he shoulders top weight, holds Lord Massusus on a good run in a July Group 2, when he met minor traffic. Three-year-old Lord Massusus also likes a mile and won a Group 3 in August. He has 4.6 lengths to find with the selection on July Leopardstown form and, due to weight-for-age, is now 2lb worse off. Self Belief revels in soft and also won a Group 3 in July. He too is dependable but dropping to a mile mightn't be ideal. French import Caracal likes this distance and while he has more on his plate than at Tipperary, likes soft and should progress fitness-wise from that 511-days reappearance run. The dropped-in-grade Proud And Regal won a juvenile Group 1 over this distance but might now prefer a longer distance.

CARACAL made an encouraging start to life with Joseph O'Brien when landing a small-field minor event at Tipperary 23 days ago and, providing he comes out of that okay (stood little racing in France), he looks capable of following up. Power Under Me and Self Belief are a couple of credible rivals.

A very deep renewal of this Listed race. SELF BELIEF has a penalty but this lightly raced 4yo gave weight to some useful 3yos last time

16:25 Nottingham Handicap (Class 2) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

A gutsy winner at Newmarket last month, Olympicus has scope to improve over this trip and his willing attitude is an asset as he bids to defy a 3lb higher mark. However, previous C&D winner WARREN HILL can put her course knowledge to good use and appeals more on the forecast going. Cut in the ground should suit this daughter of No Nay Never and she can flourish back over this distance after her stamina hit the buffers over an extended 1m3f last time. Hakuna Babe and Gordon Grey are others to note.

Having taken a while to come to hand for his current stable, OLYMPICUS put it all together when beating Hakuna Babe at Newmarket last time and, with an excellent pedigree to fall back on, he's taken to improve further and follow up at the possible expense of the same rival. Golden Maverick is another one to consider.

Ed Dunlop's DAMASCUS STEEL (nap) is one who will handle conditions and his assured stamina could also come in handy.

16:35 Beverley Stakes (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Conde sets a respectable standard and, given this is easier than the class 2 nursery he contested at Goodwood last time, he can go well from a handy draw on his first run since being gelded. Scottish Reel is also considered, as he is entitled to be wiser after his introduction at Thirsk 25 days ago. Nevertheless, ARCTIC SUNRISE, a 200,000gns purchase, holds a more appealing pedigree given that her dam is a half-sister to Alexander Goldrun, and she won't need to be out of the ordinary to win this on her racecourse bow.

ARCTIC SUNRISE makes plenty of appeal on paper and wouldn't need to be anything out of the ordinary to make a winning start in a weak-looking novice. Conde may well have benefited from a gelding operation having pulled hard on his nursery bow at Goodwood when last seen and is an obvious threat.

This looks a weak novice and it's not hard to take a chance on the expensive yearling ARCTIC SUNRISE.

16:45 Lingfield Stakes (Class 5) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

LORD MELBOURNE was hampered at the start and looked very green on his debut over 1m2f at Southwell, so the fact he kept on to be beaten just over two lengths in third was very encouraging and the 270,000-euro purchase will have learnt plenty from that introduction. With improvement expected, he makes more appeal than the other two runners with experience, Eastern Empress and It's Marvellous, although newcomers Enrico Caruso (half-brother to five winners) and Indemnity (cost 200,000gns) must be taken very seriously for powerful Newmarket yards.

LORD MELBOURNE made a bright start at Salisbury and seems sure to improve so is hard to get away from. Indemnity and Enrico Caruso are interesting newcomers representing top yards and the betting could be revealing.

This is potentially quite competitive but LORD MELBOURNE has the benefit of experience and can improve on his Salisbury debut.

16:50 Cork Handicap 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Keen-going TRACHONITUS likes testing ground and ran well on his reappearance following a 141-days layoff recently. Out of a Group 3 winner and a half-brother to a Listed winner, he bumped into Paddington at Naas last March and having run well against a seasoned campaigner at Galway, should again run well from 4lb higher. Something Nice is also suited by soft and while he beat the selection by four and a quarter lengths at Naas in April, is 5lb worse off and is marginally more exposed. Sheyya has run just twice this year but caught the eye when finishing well here in August. She is unproven on soft but should improve at this distance and has dropped 4lb. Seven-time winner Sirjack Thomas continues in fine form and likes easy ground but isn't ahead of the handicapper. Colin Keane rides Catena Zapata but is probably best watched on reappearance against race-fit rivals while Encosta disappointed 13 days ago but has place claims on earlier form.

Competitive fare but SIRJACK THOMAS will find this trip much more suitable than 7f so he just about gets the vote. Trachonitus and Helpmeout head the opposition.

A chance is taken on SOMETHING NICE, whose latest defeat can be excused with that only four days after running so well at the Curragh.

16:55 Newcastle Handicap (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Surging Tide should go well on her nursery debut and she may get an easy time of things on the front end if Oliver Stammers allows her kick on from the start. That may well set things up perfectly for DUE CONSIDERATION, a winer over a mile at Musselburgh last time out. Ridden to hit the front late on by Connor Murtagh that day, the same tactics could see him double up off just 4lb higher. Bellestarr may prove best of the remainder.

DUE CONSIDERATION was well supported when opening his account at Musselburgh earlier this month and remains on a workable mark. He can follow up. Handicap debutant Surging Tide is feared most.

After showing improvement last time out, SURGING TIDE could kick on again now upped in trip and make a winning nursery debut.

LTO Selection:

17:00 Nottingham Handicap (Class 2) 14f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

Hellenista has finished in the first four home on her last six starts, but her best form is on a faster surface. Double Oban was beaten less than two lengths at Haydock off this mark and can go well with his stable in good form, but ALHAMBRA PALACE is preferred. He failed to handle the track or the faster going at York but is back on a more suitable surface here having won at Ascot and Sandown on going with cut in it, and that may see him back to winning ways.

Perhaps best to narrow this down to the 3-y-os, with ALHAMBRA PALACE, who was a fine fifth in the strong Melrose handicap at York's Ebor meeting last month, narrowly preferred to Ralph Beckett's Roost. Alpine Stroll's good Nottingham record, including reaching a place in this 12 months ago, earns him a place on the shortlist, while Cool Henry can shrug off a rare below-par run last time and also play a part.

The eyes are drawn to ALHAMBRA PALACE who can get his season back on track after an excusable defeat on fast ground.

17:10 Beverley Handicap (Class 4) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Autumn Festival took this race last season for David O'Meara and races off 1lb lower in the handicap now. He hasn't been at his best recently but if first-time cheekpieces help, he may go close. UGO GREGORY likes it here with four wins over C&D, one off this mark and one off 2lb higher, and he may make it five after a solid second at Chester last time out. Zozimus arrives in good form and is another to consider.

URBAN SPRAWL's placed effort in the Britannia in June is very persuasive form at this level and down markedly in class, he can return to winning ways. Zozimus should give it another good go, with Cliffcake likely to bounce back returned to this venue.

Hopefully, this will be run at a decent enough clip to suit ZOZIMUS who has been looking a winner waiting to happen since visored.

LTO Selection:

17:20 Lingfield Handicap (Class 5) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Tessy Lad (second) and KODIMAN (third) are closely matched based on their encounter at Chelmsford 15 days ago, when the latter was possibly a bit too keen in the early stages before being denied a clear run a furlong out. On 2lb better terms, the latter has a lot going for him in his bid to reverse the form with Jack Mitchell back in the saddle. Ithaca's Arrow and Cancan In The Rain are also considered.

TESSY LAD came from well back for second at Chelmsford last time and might be capable of going one better here. Kodiman has been placed on 3 of his last 4 starts, including on polytrack, and is second choice ahead of the Oisin Murphy-ridden Ithaca's Arrow.

Course winner ITHACA'S ARROW (nap) returns here after a good third in what looked a fairly competitive race at Newbury last month.

LTO Selection:

17:25 Cork Handicap 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

BANG PO ran notably well when second at the Galway festival and competes from a career low rating. His juvenile form was over sprint distances but has good recent form at this distance and finished mid-field when dropped to seven furlongs at the Curragh last month. Nine days earlier, he had finished second and between two well-handicapped, subsequent winners over this distance at Galway. Asisaid won in first-time blinkers in July and while absent since, connections might have been waiting for easy ground. His form is in-and-out but blinkers are reapplied and he is just 3lb higher than when winning at Naas. Zephron has been running well over seven furlongs, likes soft ground and is just 1lb higher than when second at Listowel last week. Samhradh returns from a break and is open to progression being a lightly-raced three-year-old. Skontonovski likes a mile and is ground-versatile but was well held at Gowran recently while Tasmanian Girl wasn't beaten far at Roscommon but drops markedly in distance.

ASISAID won well in first-time blinkers at Naas when last seen in July and can strike again, with any further rain in his favour. Zephron and Well Suited are a couple of others to note.

The filly STORMIE OUTLOOK ran well at Clonmel before an excusable failure on the beach at Laytown and she earns a tentative nod.

LTO Selection:

17:30 Newcastle Handicap (Class 6) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Silver Atom pulled off a 50/1 shock when winning last time out at Bath and the one-time hurdler could have some say in the final result if he can repeat that level on the all-weather. Visitant is the only C&D winner in this field but was a distant second at Thirsk latest and needs to do more, leaving GEELONG as the likelier winner. He strolled home last week by over six lengths at Kempton, and a 5lb penalty seems unlikely to stop him.

Having dropped a long way in the weights, GEELONG finally doubled his career tally at Kempton last week and he holds strong follow-up claims under a penalty. Silver Atom upped his game when springing a surprise on turf last time and he can go well again, along with Ana Emaraaty.

It's hard to side against recent Kempton scorer GEELONG (nap) who looks weighted to go in again under a 5lb penalty for that easy win.

LTO Selection:

17:35 Nottingham Handicap (Class 2) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

Young Fire might get his ground which could see him get involved where it matters most after finishing fifth at Wolverhampton, and he could surprise a few under David Nolan. Cariad is another who could go well off bottom weight and will also appreciate any cut in the ground, but a chance is taken on C&D winner EQUION. He was value for more than the official neck last time out here on heavy ground after possibly idling in front.

In a wide-open contest the vote goes to STRONGBOWE, who is effective on slow ground and wasn't seen to best effect at Southwell last time. Equion and Goldsmith head the list of dangers.

A few with chances but EQUION has proved himself on the track and may have more to come under the conditions.

LTO Selection:

17:45 Beverley Handicap (Class 6) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Hostelry has every chance of landing her hat-trick here despite being put up 4lb for her recent Carlisle success, with Christian Howarth claiming 5lb in the saddle. She can go close with a clear run, but a chance is taken on the younger PREMIERSHIP. He kept on well to win at Yarmouth before failing to see out 1m2f when third at Ripon, but may get back to winning ways over this trip. She's Got Bottle and Poet's Dawn both like it here and are others to note.

There's every chance that 4-y-o PREMIERSHIP has more to offer for Michael Wigham and back over a more suitable trip, he's marginally preferred in favour of Poet's Dawn, who goes unpenalised for his Redcar win a week ago. Hostelry chases a hat-trick so needs considering, too.

Having got back to winning ways last week, the unpenalised POET'S DAWN is taken to beat Hostelry and Sezaam.

LTO Selection:

17:50 Lingfield Handicap (Class 5) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

This is arguably the easiest assignment GOD OF FIRE has faced in handicaps so far and, having shown improvement with a tongue-tie applied when he finished a close third at Kempton last time, he could be hard to beat back over this slightly shorter trip. Intergalacticat is feared most with Oisin Murphy back in the saddle, while Udaberri and Savrola are a couple of others to note.

SAVROLA is back on the mark he defied at Wolverhampton in the spring and could be sparked by the combination of a return to AW and first-time cheekpieces. This represents a drop in grade for Udaberri who is second choice ahead of Intergalacticat.

He didn't really fire last time but INTERGALACTICAT won two of his previous three races and may resume his progress here.

18:00 Newcastle Handicap (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Spirit Of Ash needs a career best off this rating but her only two wins were over this C&D, and she is yet to taste defeat at the track. She can go well again after winning narrowly earlier in the month, but GOBLET OF FIRE may have her measure. Nigel Tinkler's gelding has won three of his last four starts on grass with two over this trip and, if he can repeat that on this surface, he could prove hard to beat. We Still Believe and International Law are others to note.

GOBLET OF FIRE is going the right way at this low level and can win again. Indication Rocket and International Law are also respected.

Nigel Tinkler's progressive 3yo GOBLET OF FIRE can overcome a career-high mark to register his fourth win of a highly productive season

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

GIUDECCA has twice shown shown ability and this half-sister to Integral, a Group 1 winner for this yard, is presented with a good opportunity to make it third-time lucky as she gains more experience. Also related to a winner on synthetics, switching to this surface isn't expected to pose any issues for Sir Michael Stoute's filly and, with Saffie Osborne booked, everything is in place for a big run. Irish raider Miss Black Jack is feared most, with well-bred newcomer Cocktail Dress also considered.

ERANTHIS travelled strongly for a long way when third at Haydock first time out and, with this drop in trip firmly in her favour, she makes the most appeal. Giudecca is a danger and Cocktail Dress is an appealing newcomer for a shrewd stable.

Miss Black Jack and Giudecca are good enough to win a maiden but ERANTHIS can build on her promising start at Haydock.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

BLENHEIM STAR showed up well on her debut at Lingfield 27 days ago and, having overcome a slow start to finish with a rattle to get up for a very close fourth, she is an appealing option with that experience to draw upon. Arantes Nascimento took a step forward from his debut with an improved effort at Musselburgh and enters calculations as another potential improver, while Ribble River is introduced at a realistic level.

BLENHEIM STAR stuck to her task pleasingly when fourth starting out at Lingfield a month ago and with the promise of lots more to come, this looks a good opening. Arantes Nascimento is probably the main threat unless there's support for a newcomer, notably Ribble River.

Market interest would increase interest in newcomer Ribble River but ARANTES NASCIMENTO is open to further improvement.

Those with previous experience don't set the bar very high, so it may be more rewarding to focus on the five newcomers, with YOKOHAMA suggested as the first one to note. A half-brother to five winners, including Questioning, who won the Group 3 Earl Of Sefton, this trip is a good starting point. Sweet Talkin Sue is next on the shortlist, followed by Mickley and Bellasio.

This is likely to go to a newcomer, with MICKLEY, Sweet Talkin Sue and Teddy Brown perhaps the most interesting before the all-important betting clues.

The suggestion is SWEET TALKIN SUE, who represents a trainer who has the best record in these races.

(14) Go Sing 8/1, 9¾ lengths ninth of 14 to Rainbow Rain in handicap (9/1) at Carlisle (6f, good to firm) 19 days ago, not clear run. Others more persuasive.
Down in the weights and this should be run to suit but he does need to raise his game.

20:00 Newcastle Handicap (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Revolucion caught the eye staying on for third in a similar event a Lingfield last month and further 1lb drop in the ratings puts him very much in contention, but he remains a maiden after 12 starts and preference is for RHYTHM. A dual C&D winner, he has slipped to a 3lb lower mark than the latest of those victories in April and gets a welcome drop in class after a respectable effort at Pontefract last week. Dream Together has also dropped to a workable rating and he's another worthy of consideration.

RAINBOW RAIN hasn't finished out of the first 2 in his last 4 starts and is taken to notch another win. Revolucion has a solid AW record and is second choice ahead of Highjacked, for whom the booking of Hollie Doyle catches the eye.

Revolucion looks set for another big run but HIGHER LAW is worth chancing with his last two runs easily excused.

Whatwouldyouknow

18/1(-100%)
(1) Whatwouldyouknow 18/1, C&D winner. Visored first time, creditable second of 9 in C&D handicap in January but hasn't been seen since. Headgear off. Much depends on whether he's ready to roll after his break.
Dual C&D winner; has the ability to go close but record when fresh is underwhelming..
LTO Selection:

20:30 Newcastle Handicap (Class 6) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Whatwouldyouknow's last two victories came over this C&D and he only found one too good off a 1lb lower mark here last time out, but that was in January and the match-fit URBAN ROAD could prove too strong here. Alan Brown's four-year-old ran out an easy winner over this track and trip in July and a repeat of that performance can see him defy a 6lb higher mark now back on Tapeta. Bold Territories has come back down to a fair mark and the booking of the in-form Hollie Doyle catches the eye.

URBAN ROAD can bounce straight back from a lesser run at Beverley and land a second C&D success of the year. Rockin Rosa is better than she showed here last time and is second choice. The step back up in trip should suit Rebelle Lady who is of interest on handicap debut, particularly if the betting speaks in her favour.

The suggestion is REBELLE LADY, who showed improvement last time, looks likely to be suited by this trip and may have got in lightly.
