This looks a good opportunity for PASSING PHASE. Out of Group 3 winner Lady Wingshot, the 85-rated bay will appreciate the forecast rain. Beaten just half a length into second when last seen at Tipperary in May, he finished a place ahead of Rudi's Apple, with that one now rated 101. Likedbymike has two solid efforts to her name and is of definite interest with Billy Lee aboard. Trained in Co Tipperary by Michael Byrne, the cheaply-bought yearling went down by less than a length when third at Dundalk recently. Colin Keane takes the ride on Promise Given, who reportedly didn't handle the track when disappointing at Listowel in June. A close sixth on debut over the course and distance, a reproduction of that effort would see her go close. This Ain't Texas and Vanilla Baby are others worthy of consideration.

PASSING PHASE possesses the best form on show so is taken to build on his Tipperary runner-up after a break and open his account. Likedbymike and This Ain't Texas rate the main dangers to Jessica Harrington's son of Lope De Vega and can chase him home in that order.

If PASSING PHASE can repeat his runner-up effort at Tipperary when last seen then he should take beating.

The forecast soft ground shouldn't unduly bother SHIP TO SHORE, who reverts to turf on the back of a win and a place on the all-weather and is a solid fancy to extend the run of good form. Endofastorm has plenty of course experience and is another appealing option with Ethan Jones claiming 3lb. Surrey Charm and Spring Chorus don't have many miles on the clock and can also go well.

With the Hughie Morrison yard among the winners of late, SURREY CHARM is taken to build on her encouraging reappearance third in a first-time tongue strap (retained here) at Ffos Las. That was her first run on the back of an 11-month absence, so she's entitled to come on for it and this slight step up in trip looks a good move. Wannabeawallaby wasn't on-song last time but was in good heart prior to that and he is feared most ahead of Major Major.

The pair to focus on are the in-form Ship To Shore and the early-season Beverley scorer SPRING CHORUS, who are effective on soft.

TELE RED has been running well without troubling the judge recently, but Karl Burke's charge is now 1lb lower than when landing the corresponding event 12 months ago. He is fancied to regain the winning thread at the expense of Yaaser, who drops in class from a 2lb lower mark, having been below-par over 7f here last time out. Unexposed three-year-old Gracious Leader has scope for further progress and he merits respect on his first start for the George Boughey team.

None of these can be ruled out but last year's victor TELE RED hails from a yard well among the winners and signalled he is ready to strike again when a good York fourth last time out (form working out well). George Boughey's new recruit Gracious Leader is weighted to have a big say and next on the list ahead of Yaaser, Power of Gold and Candonomore.

The well-handicapped Urban Sprawl has shown signs of a revival but he might have to give best to the unexposed GRACIOUS LEADER.

FOSTER'S FORTUNE made a winning start in handicaps when scoring over C&D back in May. The five-year-old returns to action raised 6lb, but he won with plenty left in the tank and looks assured to make another bold bid. Milajess is still seeking that elusive first victory, although she found only one too good at Uttoxeter last time and makes more appeal than Treasured Company, who ended a losing run stretching back to 2021 when successful at Cartmel and is 7lb higher now.

The vote goes to TRAILBLAZER, who opened his account at Perth during the summer and, now back on better ground and over this optimum trip, the 5-y-o is taken to resume winning ways. Treasured Company isn't certain to be in the same form nor mood as when scoring at Cartmel last time but will be a danger to all if he's again in the groove, while Sefton Warrior is third choice ahead of Foster's Fortune and Milajess.

Sue Smith's TREASURED COMPANY (nap) looked back in good nick when drawing clear to score at Cartmel in August and gets the nod.

Jessica Harrington has a strong hand here, saddling three of the 10 declared. KODILICIOUS has a lofty rating of 93, after beating subsequent winners Rebel Diamond and Last Encore at Sligo last month. The former has in fact won three times since, claiming a Listed contest at Fairyhouse last week. Gloriously Glam is another Harrington representative. A runner-up to Last Encore on her penultimate start, she again finished second when last seen in the valuable Tattersalls Ireland Super Auction Sales Stakes. Gangsta Man is likely to appreciate this drop in trip and should be able to make his presence felt, while Agouti Bear and Gazelle D'or are other leading hopes.

Jessica Harrington saddles three here and her GLORIOUSLY GLAM is taken to come out on top on the back of her very good Curragh second last time out. Gangsta Man's recent form is on the up so he could emerge as the main danger, atlhough Gazelle d'Or and Agouti Bear are also worthy of consideration. Moonhall Church completes the shortlist.

Having beaten a subsequent Listed winner when making a winning debut at Sligo in August, KODILICIOUS can defy top-weight.
Class & Speed Card

The lightly-raced Desert Footsteps made a successful handicap debut at Chepstow and appeals off just 6lb higher, while Chourmo, a ready winner at Brighton most recently, should go well if not inconvenienced by dropping back down in trip. However, dual C&D winner ANDROMEDAS KINGDOM looks worth chancing with the ground in her favour. She goes well fresh and, as she proved at Nottingham on her penultimate start, testing conditions can readily bring the best out of her.

DESERT FOOTSTEPS had her rivals in trouble some way out when making a winning handicap debut at Chepstow and, provided she proved equally effective on what is likely to be a slower surface here, the Marcus Tregoning-trained filly looks more than capable of going in again off this 6 lb higher mark. Havana Goldrush is next on the list, with Johnjay and Racing Demon also expected to be on the premises.

Preference is for dual C&D winner RACING DEMON who was impressive when winning easily on soft ground at Chepstow in May.

Although WEISSMULLER has yet to open his account after four attempts, Archie Watson's gelding sets a lofty standard with an official rating of 92. His rivals need to improve on what they achieved on debut and this looks a gilt-edged opportunity. The main threat might come from Blue Pinatubo, who showed good early pace in a Glorious Goodwood maiden. Invitorio is the pick of the other two.

Archie Watson's WEISSMULLER has some fairly useful form to his name and looks to have been found an excellent opportunity to get off the mark. Invitorio and Blue Pinatubo appeal as the duo to chase home the selection in that order.

His profile is not entirely convincing but Windsor Castle fourth WEISSMULLER ought to get off the mark at this fifth attempt.

Model Approach makes a quick reappearance having finished third at Market Rasen on Saturday. He looks sure to feature again with Brian Hughes keeping the partnership intact, but TRAFALGAR SQUARE may edge this. The latter struggled on heavy going when last seen over timber, but had shown plenty of promise when runner-up at Market Rasen on his hurdling debut, with a subsequent winner back in third, and he gets another chance. There's No Limit travels over from Ireland and may improve with blinkers applied for the first time.

MODEL APPROACH showed enough at Market Rasen on Saturday to think he can win a race like this if coping with the quick turnaround. Nigel Hawke saddled the runner-up in that Market Rasen race and his new recruit Fine Point may give the selection most to do ahead of Irish raider There's No Limit.

Among the best of these on the Flat, MODEL APPROACH started his hurdling career with a good run in a better race than this on Saturday.
Class & Speed Card

STAYSOUND SUSIE might be able to bounce back from a below-par effort at Galway. A model of consistency prior to that run, she is versatile regards ground and should appreciate this drop back in trip. In truth, a case can be made for all six runners. Second four times from nine starts, first-time blinkers could work the oracle on handicap debutant Emerald Banner, while UK import Lunar Streets is of definite interest with Colin Keane aboard. Sligo victor Sakakawea warrants respect off an initial mark of 65, with C&D winner Linger For Longer and top-weight Tai Tam Bay completing the field.

There could be come from Sligo maiden winner SAKAKAWEA so she gets the nod to make a winning handicap debut back from 5 months off. Tai Tam Bay is starting to look well handicapped again and may give the selection most to do.

The most solid option is STAYSOUND SUSIE (nap). 7f stretched her last time, she went close off 1lb higher at Naas and she handles soft.

Hat-trick seeker JUDGE FRANK arrives at the top of his game and having made all to score off 3lb lower at Windsor last month, the improving three-year-old could again be difficult to overhaul if the cheekpieces have the same impact second time around. Marsh Benham has won with juice in the ground and is an appealing alternative to the selection from 4lb below his last winning mark. Albus Anne, who took a division of this event 12 months ago, and fellow C&D winner Ciotog complete the shortlist.

Preference is for JAMES PARK WOODS, who took advantage of a drop in the weights when scoring at Brighton last month and remains feasibly treated. Albus Anne and Judge Frank head the list of dangers.

The vote goes to ALBUS ANNE who won a division of this race last year and comes into this off the back of another C&D success.

A chance can be taken on SPIRIT OF ACKLAM, who has been given a bit of time off since disappointing in the London Gold Cup at Newbury in May. The son of Cracksman will find this assignment much more to his liking and with the likelihood of further progress, he can get back on track. Soowaih was narrowly denied at Hamilton recently and he remains of interest from an unchanged mark. Others to note include Pol Roger and Reyaadah Star.

SOOWAIH went down only narrowly at Hamilton last time out and off the same mark here is taken to end a losing run. C&D winner Pol Roger heads the list of dangers with Jewel Maker, Reyaadah Star and Tilsitt also in the picture in this very open contest.

Several have possibilities but recent Hamilton runner-up SOOWAIH gets the vote ahead of Pol Roger and Jewel Maker.
Class & Speed Card

It could pay to forgive CLIMBING a disappointing effort at Worcester last month. The six-year-old had made a promising debut over the larger obstacles, when runner-up at Stratford on his handicap bow, and Jamie Snowden's charge remains open to plenty of improvement. Lipa K landed a double over fences back in the spring, although he has more to find now 10lb higher than when last successful. The remainder all make their chasing debuts, with Hashtag Boum preferred on the strength of her form over hurdles.

This looks wide open and marginal preference is for HASHTAG BOUM, a reliable and fairly useful winning hurdler who has the services of Brian Hughes for the first time now she goes over fences. Jamie Snowden's Climbing has been placed on both his runs in this sphere and seems sure to be on the premises again, while Lipa K is another worthy of consideration despite failing to complete on his last three runs.

Having won a point and two races over hurdles HASHTAG BOUM is an interesting contender on her chase debut.
Class & Speed Card

It might be worth taking a chance on RUN FORREST RUN in this competitive affair. The Micky Fenton-trained six-year-old won this race last year when rated 2lb higher and blinkers are tried for the first time now. Fresh from a win at Listowel, young apprentice Darragh O'Sullivan takes the ride and claims a valuable 7lb. Third at Naas last month, the locally-trained Mymomentintime is an obvious danger. Versatile regards ground, the five-year-old is sure to be a popular choice with punters. Handicap debutant Pink Oxalis has three solid efforts to her name and is one for the shortlist, while others to consider are Navan runner-up Little Mi Mi, 2021 winner Coffeemeanscoffee and Green Valentine.

MYMOMENTINTIME shaped well under Billy Lee at Naas last month and is worth a chance to confirm that promise. Little Mi Mi reacted well to a tongue strap when an improved second at Navan last month and this lightly-raced 3-y-o can provide the chief threat ahead of last year's winner Run Forrest Run.

A chance is taken on GREEN VALENTINE. She's nicely drawn, Keane is back on board and the ground may have been too lively on latest.
Class & Speed Card

A taking winner over this distance on debut at Newbury in August, HOPEWELL ROCK looks more than capable of handling a 6lb penalty and soft ground should not be an issue for the son of New Bay. A promising fifth when keeping on well late over 7f at Kempton, Castle Gates is bred to improve for the extra furlong and he is a leading contender. Distant Memory and Fantasy World are interesting newcomers.

It's likely we haven't seen the best of HOPEWELL ROCK, who had something in hand when scoring on debut at Newbury in August. He can follow up. Castle Gates is a likely improver and is feared most, whilst Sourdough may be the pick of an interesting crop of newcomers.

Newbury winner HOPEWELL ROCK is taken to defy a penalty. Castle Gates loooks a danger, while some of the newcomers are interesting.
Class & Speed Card

JENNI gained her first career success over C&D on her latest outing and the daughter of Mehmas makes plenty of appeal in her bid to strike again off a 3lb higher mark. Danzan has to enter the reckoning based on his third in the Bronze Cup last time, while others for the shortlist include Red Mirage, who hit the frame at Chester in June, and Clasina.

JENNI looked suited by the 7f trip when gaining her breakthrough victory over C&D last week and is taken to make light of a 3 lb rise in the weights. Former winners Redarna and Abduction both seem set to be on the premises once more and can ensure David O'Meara's filly doesn't have things all her own way.

Narrow preference in a tight handicap is for JENNI, who remains open to improvement over this trip. Danzan is second choice.
Class & Speed Card

MY FRIEND YEATS stepped forward from his hurdling bow when filling the runner-up spot at Cartmel in July and the six-year-old appears to have been found an ideal opportunity to go one better. I'm Ravenous may benefit from rising in trip after a disappointing effort at Worcester, while Irish raider Isle Of Sark is best judged on his second at Tramore in August, which gives him every chance of being in the mix.

Irish raider ISLE OF SARK will be suited by the drop back in trip and can open his account. I'm Ravenous and My Friend Yeats look the likeliest dangers.

The choice is ISLE OF SARK, who was a good second in a decent Tramore maiden hurdle on his second start and didn't stay 3m last time.
Class & Speed Card

Aidan O'Brien's Minnie Hauk is the obvious starting point. This daughter of Frankel made a whopping 1,850,000 euros at Goffs Ireland in September last year and doubtless connections will be delighted to see her make her debut at the end of her juvenile campaign. She is a half-sister to a Group 2 winner. In a race of many imponderables, a chance is taken on her stablemate, WIN ME OVER. She is a sister to a multiple-Group 1 winner and Jack Cleary takes a very handy 7lb off her back. Joseph O'Brien's Wemightakedlongway finished well for third on racecourse debut over C&D, while Bint Majestic Roi could improve on her second start.

It will be an ominous sign for her rivals if MINNIE HAUK is strong in the betting. Indeed, the Frankel filly fetched a cool €1,850,000 as a yearling, if her pedigree is anything to go by, she will have a bright future. Wemightakedlongway and Just Before have both displayed a fair level of ability and are feared most in that order of preference, while Minnie Hauk's stablemate Win Me Over is also one to keep an eye on.

Narrow preference is for STELLAR QUALITY. She showed a lot of promise in a 7f Leopardstown barrier trial and this trip should suit.
Class & Speed Card

SAYTARR may have a wide draw to overcome, but he could be the one to beat in this field following a narrow reversal over 6f at Ffos Las last time out. This slightly shorter trip could prove ideal and the son of Mehmas is preferred to nursery debutant Mirage Mistress, as well as Roysdelight, who ran a career best, despite a slow start, when narrowly denied over 5f at Chepstow in August.

SAYTARR is going the right way and proved his effectiveness in testing conditions when runner-up at Ffos Las in August. He gets the nod. Lady Dorchester and Roysdelight rate the principal dangers.

Steadily improving SAYTARR is taken to open his account. Emporess is second choice ahead of Roysdelight.
Class & Speed Card

The drop to 7f is unlikely to be an inconvenience to Golden Valour, with the eight-year-old having been dropped 1lb for his recent fourth here, but the vote goes to SIR GARFIELD. Runner-up at the Western meeting just 12 days ago, that effort saw him bounce back after a rare blip at Catterick and his consistency can help him get his head back in front. John L Sullivan and San Isidro are more than capable of being in the mix too.

SIR GARFIELD can race off the same mark as when a very good recent C&D second so is fanced to gain a deserved victory at the chief expense of C&D scorer Novak. In-form pair San Isidro and John L Sullivan also need factoring into this open handicap.

Top of the list is SIR GARFIELD (nap) who has a striking record in handicaps since July. The main danger could be Alpine Sierra.
Class & Speed Card

DREAM JET has continued to run well since a Market Rasen victory and this looks to be an ideal opportunity for him to get back to winning ways. Noble Anthem made his chasing debut when fourth in the aforementioned contest and is likely to step forward from that effort. Neigh Botha and Chase A Fortune are both capable if bouncing back from their latest displays.

NOBLE ANTHEM has run well on all 3 of his starts over jumps for Adrian Keatley, including on his chase debut behind Dream Jet at Market Rasen last time, and he gets the vote with improvement likely in this sphere. His old rival seems sure to be in the mix again under Sean Bowen, while Coqolino is on a very dangerous mark if backing up his Cartmel second dropped markedly in trip.

In an interesting race FEARLESS, back from a wind op, is preferred to Noble Anthem, who ran well on his chase debut.
Class & Speed Card

A fascinating race. MUTASARREF could give weight away to the field. He has had an excellent year winning three times including a couple of Group 3 contests in Leopardstown. He is holding his form well as he was an excellent second at 20/1 in a Group 2 at Leopardstown during Irish Champions Festival. Dublin could be the real fly in the ointment. Aidan O'Brien's charge wasn't perturbed in beating an 88-rated horse by four lengths on his debut in a Listowel maiden last week. He is very inexperienced, but clearly well thought of. Wigmore Street was delivered late to win the Irish Cambridgeshire at the Curragh before finishing a solid third in a premier handicap at the same venue.

This is obviously a much tougher assignment than the one DUBLIN faced when making a winning belated debut at Listowel last week, but he did the job in the style of a useful colt and may well take this step up in class in his stride. The consistent Mutasarref looks sure to give another good account and may be the one to follow the selection home, while the filly Magical Sunset has been contesting Group races this season and could have a part to play now eased in class.

Preference is for MAGICAL SUNSET. She is ground-versatile, she has won at this level before and this is easier than her last two races.
Class & Speed Card

MISTER BLUEBIRD has dropped to a mark 9lb lower than his last success and the pace he has shown on a couple of occasions this season over further gives the impression that he will be well suited by this distance. Recent Chester winner Hallowed Time can give him the most to think about, although Safari Dream was a highly creditable runner-up at Sandown and is another to consider.

BEYOND EQUAL surely would have gone close granted a clearer passage over C&D recently and he makes plenty of appeal off a 2 lb lower mark. He may have most to fear from Safari Dream, who hasn't got his head in front for a while but he's versatile ground-wise and his latest Sandown second suggests that a win could be imminent. Hallowed Time struck on deep ground at Chester last time and he also enters calculations, along with Vince Lombardi.

Off a handy mark and with Benoit De La Sayette on board, MISS BELLA BRAND gets the vote. Safari Dream is second choice.
Class & Speed Card

A winner at Ripon in July, ACT OF VIOLENCE is still improving based on his second at Redcar a fortnight ago. Tim Easterby's inmate looks capable of scoring off his current figure on that evidence and is taken to confirm latest running with Rousing Encore, who has won off higher marks in the past and can have a say in proceedings once again. Veteran sprinter Muscika has been threatening a return to winning ways and has to be included in calculations.

MUSCIKA is a veteran now, but he confirmed his return to form when edged out in the final strides at Epsom on his most recent outing and is well worth another chance to go one better. Act of Violence seems likely to be on the premises once again, with the quirky Jump The Gun and Rousing Encore others to consider.

Jump The Gun ran a stormer on the unfavoured side in the Bronze Cup and he can be the main danger to WINGED MESSENGER.
Class & Speed Card

HOSTILE HOTELIER caught the eye when keeping on into third on his return from a break at Worcester last month. The application of cheekpieces for the first time is likely to bring about some improvement and he gets the vote at the chief expense of Barrons Land, who has gone up 5lb for her Worcester success in August. Boomslang and Beholden appear best of the remainder.

LET'S GO JOE took a step back in the right direction on his most recent outing in May and, having dropped to an attractive mark, he's selected to make it 2 wins from as many starts at this track. Barrons Land and Beholden head up the opposition.

Rebecca Menzies won this last year, so there's scope to think that she can repeat that success with the ground-versatile BOOMSLANG.
Class & Speed Card

EMPORIO is dropping in the handicap and should have a say. He didn't run badly when fourth in a higher grade at Listowel and cheekpieces are now fitted. The weekend rain will not inconvenience him at all, so he has an each-way chance at a price. A tardy start did for September Leaves when she was unplaced in a valuable fillies' handicap at Leopardstown. Prior to that, she scored over 1m in Gowran Park and remains of interest. Passionate has a habit of finishing her races well. That's a more than useful habit to have and it could see her pick up a cheque. Recent winners Casanova and Loingseoir will have their supporters.

LIVIO MILO would have gone closer at Laytown but for a gap closing on him when he was starting to look threatening. He's back with his usual headgear on off the same mark and looks set for a big run. Casanova won well at Listowel last week and has to be respected again. Passionate and Letiza, starting out for Henry de Bromhead, complete the shortlist.

Though he has a poor win record, LIVIO MILO has plenty in his favour on this occasion and can notch his second win.
Class & Speed Card

Cabeza De Llave gained his first victory since February at Windsor on his latest outing and Michael Attwater's gelding commands a fair amount of respect, despite being 5lb higher on this occasion. Marching Mac returned to form at Brighton a fortnight ago and has to be of interest, but it would be no surprise if MEDIA GUEST comes out on top. His best recent displays have come at this track and the switch of headgear to blinkers might see him in a better light.

CABEZA DE LLAVE has returned to form at Windsor the last twice, latterly landing a 5f handicap in pretty decisive fashion, and he is taken to follow up here. An on-song Media Guest would be a threat and he is second choice ahead of Some Nightmare. Of the others, 3-y-o Marching Mac will also have a chance if building on his 33/1 success at Brighton a fortnight ago.

The choice is CABEZA DE LLAVE who can follow up his Windsor success. He finished second in his only previous attempt on soft ground.

Three Platoon was a comfortable winner over C&D last Tuesday and although respected under a 5lb penalty, it is VIOLETA that shades preference. Ben Haslam's filly made it 22nd time lucky over track and trick a fortnight ago, but she remains competitively handicapped and could go in again following that confidence boosting triumph. Volenti hit the frame last time out and a similar level of performance can see him make his presence felt.

THREE PLATOON went nearly 3 years without a win but might be able to gain a second C&D victory in quick succession if showing up in the same form as last week. Ben Haslam pair Violeta, another last-time-out C&D winner, and Volenti might give Rebecca Menzies' charge most to do.

Only the recent C&D winners THREE PLATOON and Violeta make much appeal. The selection can overcome carrying a 5lb penalty.

YURINOV was having only his fifth outing when finishing a creditable fourth over 1m6f at Nottingham in July. That form has worked out well, with the runner-up subsequently scoring three times, and this extra test of stamina will likely prompt further improvement. Musselburgh winner Trojan Sun ran well again when third at Chester and is another with plenty of scope. Ebony Maw will appreciate a return to a faster surface and is just preferred to Glasses Up of the rest.

TROJAN SUN fully confirmed the improvement shown at Musselburgh when third at Chester last time and, with that form proving strong, he's taken to resume winning ways. Yurinov gave the impression at Nottingham that this still longer trip will pose no issue, and he's feared most.

This can go to class-dropper TROJAN SUN, who came good two starts ago and one was of three to pull clear when placed last time.
Class & Speed Card

ENGINES ON finished out the back when favourite for a handicap over further in Leopardstown, but had a horror draw and is worth another chance. He is better assessed on his three solid runs in Gowran Park and he finished runner-up there in June. A tongue-strap is tried and James Ryan claims 3lb. Relevant Range bounced back to form with a vengeance in Listowel. He travelled well during that race, but the handicapper has hit him with a 9lb rise which asks questions. Mulgrave is on a particularly dangerous mark and wasn't beaten far into third at Fairyhouse, however, he wouldn't want much juice in the ground. Pink Socks is another to consider.

PINK SOCKS is in better heart than recent form figures suggest and is interesting with Billy Lee taking over from her usual apprentice. Monzoon and Alessia Fernanda are a couple of others to consider.

Preference is for ALESSIA FERNANDA who probably hasn't quite seen out 1m1f the last twice and can get off the mark today.
Class & Speed Card

SONNET STAR has been running with credit over 1m4f at Ffos Las on her most recent outings and the drop back in trip may bring about the improvement required for her to shed the maiden tag. Stable companion Jimmy Mark wasn't disgraced at Goodwood at the beginning of last month and is expected to be competitive along with Ladypacksapunch, who didn't get the clearest of runs here last time.

RUN OF LUCK (also declared at Windsor on Monday) has made a good start in handicaps, displaying a professional attitude when scoring here a fortnight ago, and he can follow up. Ladypacksapunch, Sonnet Star and Fougere complete the shortlist.

Improving 3yo RUN OF LUCK (nap) showed that the mud holds no fears on his penultimate start and was off the mark over C&D since.

Stamina isn't a given for many of these, but that can't be said for PONS AELIUS. The son of Galileo hasn't always been the most consistent this term, but he finished fourth in the Northumberland Vase here in June and a similar level of performance would be good enough to land the spoils. Sydney Seabreeze has few miles on the clock and could find more for the addition of first-time cheekpieces, while Unique Spirit should not be underestimated.

The two 3-y-os may dominate this, with UNIQUE SPIRIT taken to build on a couple of placed efforts over C&D and gain a first success at the expense of Newmarket raider Sydney Seabreeze.

Unique Spirit should go well once more but the vote goes to SYDNEY SEABREEZE, who could yet be capable of better.
Class & Speed Card

Indy's Angel bolted up over C&D last time out and she ought to make a good fist of things despite the 6lb penalty, but the vote goes to EMPOWERED QUEEN. Ollie Sangster's juvenile steps into nurseries from a workable mark of 62. Stall 12 is a positive and, given that she is bred to be useful, it would come as no surprise were she to take the necessary step forward. Fellow nursery debutant King Of Lir makes some interest, along with Rose Of New Jersey.

INDY'S ANGEL had plenty to spare over C&D last week and is taken to defy a penalty. Rose of New Jersey ran well for second at Thirsk last time and can fill the runner-up spot again. Empowered Queen and King of Lir are possible improvers now switching to nurseries, particularly if the betting speaks in their favour.

Rose Of New Jersey goes on the shortlist but EMPOWERED QUEEN should be capable of more now she's handicapping at an ordinary level.
Class & Speed Card

A maiden through four starts, Pinsent has looked capable on his day but might be one for handicaps down the line, while Brividi wasn't disgraced first time out over further at Wolverhampton. GENTA could be the one, though. Alice Haynes' charge displayed some improvement from his first to second run and has been found a good opening to make it third-time lucky.

If ALREET CHA can get back to anywhere near her best in first-time cheekpieces it might be her day. Chatty is another who needs to shrug off some lesser efforts but his peak form puts him bang there.

It's unlikely ALREET CHA, who ran well over C&D a couple of times early in the year, will be found a better opening.

A 270,000gns purchase at the sales, this can go the way of newcomer SECOND NAME, who is bred to be smart being a half-brother to the stable's Mill Reef winner Sakheer. The booking of James Doyle is a positive one and he could have too much for Thelma's Angel, who has not been in action since a comfortable success at Ayr in May. An easy debut scorer at Ffos Las on heavy ground, Minnie Wildes may have been flattered by the winning margin on that occasion and could find this tougher.

MINNIE WILDES was impressive on her Ffos Las debut and has to be considered the one to beat, although a strong market move for Roger Varian newcomer Second Name would put a slightly different slant on things. Thelma's Angel looks best of the rest.

Minnie Wildes and Thelma's Angel have potential but are being asked to concede weight to the well-related SECOND NAME.

Now that SOUL SINGER has regained the winning thread after a comfortable success over 5f at Musselburgh, Tim Easterby's charge is likely to improve for going back up in trip, especially at a track where he was narrowly denied in March. Sergeant Mayer may have disappointed on his two starts here but has strong claims on his recent second at Beverley, while She'sashambles was only worn down late in the piece when bidding for the double over C&D last month.

COURT DRIVE was unlucky not to finish closer here last time, only getting room to fully open up inside the final furlong. She looks ready to strike again. Sergeant Mayer and Indivar are feared most.

Indivar won't mind the return to sprinting, but COURT DRIVE hasn't had much luck since handicapping and is preferred.

With Aiden Brookes claiming 3lb, MISSMIMI is effectively 1lb lower than for her 6f success here last month and is the most attractive option in handicapping terms, despite this being only her second attempt over the minimum trip. Stallone is a three-time C&D winner who can make this tough for the selection if on a going day. Sassy Soprano is handily drawn and also appeals for a place on the assumption that first-time blinkers can draw some improvement.

MISSMIMI has thrived since coming to Newcastle and can win again dropped back to 5f in a weak contest. Stallone and Blackcurrent are a couple of the other more obvious players.

The drop to 5f is the worry with Missmimi and dual C&D winner JOSHUA R, who has often gone well fresh, is preferred.

THE COOKSTOWN CAFU justified strong support in the betting when he won over course and distance a fortnight ago and, on just his second start for David O'Meara, a 2lb higher mark is far from insurmountable now he has proven to be effective on Tapeta. Streak Lightning struggles for consistency but can also go well if buoyed by his own C&D win last time. Ideal Guest and B Associates debut for new yards and are others to note in the betting.

THE COOKSTOWN CAFU made his first start away from turf a winning one for his new yard here recently and can strike again. Patontheback and Maxi Boy could be a couple of the dangers.

Being still favourably treated, THE COOKSTOWN CAFU (nap) is taken to complete a C&D double. Patontheback is second choice.
Ths is the racecard key.
