13:50 Punchestown Maiden Hurdle 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Racegoers are in for a treat as the unbeaten A DREAM TO SHARE makes his debut over flights. This son of Muhaarar was a perfect five from five in bumpers including in the Grade 2 at Leopardstown during the Dublin Racing Festival, before landing Grade 1 bumpers at Cheltenham and Punchestown which was mightily impressive. He is very hard to oppose on his first crack at hurdles. Fascile Mode made a good impression when winning on debut in a bumper at Leopardstown over Christmas. He was well behind A Dream To Share in two subsequent contests, but could have a future over hurdles. Qatar Spirit showed more in third at Gowran Park and has the opportunity to pick up more prize money.

This should be a straightforward introduction to hurdles for top-class bumper performer A DREAM TO SHARE. Fellow bumper winner Fascile Mode can chase him home ahead of John McConnell's Solo Flight.

FASCILE MODE, who took on the unbeaten A Dream To Share twice after a debut win at Leopardstown, looks the clear pick

LTO Selection:

14:02 Nottingham Stakes (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

World Of Darcy would hold every chance if performing at his best, but John Ryan's colt hasn't hit the same heights since a third-placed effort in a Listed event at Deauville in early August. With that in mind, last-time-out maiden winner GLOBAL SKIES rates as a more solid proposition. The gelded son of Mondialiste won a shade cosily at Haydock recently and may be able to defy a 7lb penalty. Western completes the shortlist.

A tricky novice contest, in which WESTERN is given another chance to confirm the positive impression made at Ascot back in these calmer waters. Global Skies is respected having shown plenty of stamina to score at Haydock last time, whilst the twice listed-placed World of Darcy is also hard to rule out. Newcomers King's Ginger and Pedro Valentino are others to consider in a potentially warm event.

Others have better form but GUNDOGAN might find the improvement he needs judged on the conspicuous promise he showed on his debut.

Below form on last month's stable debut and remains on fairly tough mark.

Minella Plus

3/1(+73%)
(6) Minella Plus 3/1, Scored over fences at Hexham and here (both at around 2m) last autumn. Lower in the weights over hurdles and shaped as though back in form when third at Bangor in August but failed by a long chalk to build on that when well held at Hexham (16.2f, good) 5 weeks ago.
Seemed to have turned a corner two runs ago but safely held since; others preferred.

(7) Sufi 11/1, Winner at Newton Abbot last September and back to form following a 7-month break when adding to his tally at Stratford (18.7f, good to soft) in June. However, little impact both subsequent starts (treated for post-race heat stress latest) so tough to fancy with much confidence.
Won in June, after a break, but two lesser efforts have followed; up in grade today.

7th (3) Paros (16/1 -33%)
Paros

16/1(-33%)
(3) Paros 16/1, Fairly useful form when winning twice in 2020/21. Pulled up all 4 starts in 2022/23 season and failed to convince in a couple of starts over fences upon joining present stable this summer. Offered little back over the smaller obstacles at Fontwell recently and cheekpieces now tried.

0-15 over hurdles and makes no appeal from 18lb out of weights.
LTO Selection:

14:10 Ludlow Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Minella Plus is a lot better than his latest performance at Hexham suggests and he is likely to put in a better display. However, the vote goes to ENTHUSED, who struck when last seen in this grade at Uttoxeter in August and he won at a higher level on his next outing. The six-year-old looks well placed to make it three wins from his last four starts, while Charles St is another to consider in a first-time visor.

A few in with chances but STONIFIC is clearly back on a mark he can be competitive from so Gary Hanmer's 10-y-o is fancied to go one better than his staying-on second at Southwell last week. The main danger may come from Charles St, who continues to find one too good and may have to settle for that again for a fifth start in a row in this sphere. Enthused and Minella Plus can do battle for third spot.

The pick is STONIFIC, who travelled menacingly well for a long way when second at Southwell last week and is another 3lb lower here.

14:20 Sedgefield Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 17f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Better can be expected from Trick Of The Tail on the likely better ground here and Donald McCain's inmate shouldn't be far away. Western Soldier had some smart form on the Flat in Germany and also merits consideration on his hurdling debut. However, preference is for JOHNNY M, who looked booked for a solid third-placed finish in a competitive event at Kilbeggan in July but for falling at the final obstacle.

The market will no doubt reveal plenty with many of these making their hurdling debut, but preference is for JOHNNY M, who has experience on his side and shaped as if back in form prior to departing late on at Kilbeggan in July. Whozatgirl showed something to work on switched to hurdling after 4 months off at Kelso recently, so she's put forward as the main danger for her in-form yard, with Touch of A Dragon and Trick of The Tail rounding off the shortlist.

Milton Harris's hurdling debutant WESTERN SOLDIER was a useful winner on the Flat in Germany and gets the vote.

14:25 Punchestown Handicap Hurdle 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

FIRST DARE appeals after a comfortable victory in a ladies' handicap hurdle at Navan last month. She's not the biggest horse in the world, so it looks a shrewd move to book 7lb claimer Tom Harney as his claim more than offsets the 6lb rise she got for that Navan success. Former Limerick winner Lovely Reaction ought to be a factor if fully wound up on her return to action. She was a never-nearer third at Limerick when last seen in March. Dame Rapide wasn't at her best in fifth on soft ground at Fairyhouse on Saturday, so the forecast deluge for Wednesday morning is a concern albeit she is a talented mare.

FIRST DARE was better than ever when doubling her career tally at Navan last month and this revised mark looks well within range. Banntown Girl and Ta Na La head the opposition.

Having won with a bit to spare at Navan recently, FIRST DARE is taken to follow up off a 6lb higher mark

LTO Selection:

14:37 Nottingham Handicap (Class 4) 14f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

SANCTION has really hit the ground running since entering handicaps under the tutelage of Edward Bethell and a hat-trick looks very much in the offing in her current vein of form. Alba Longa wasn't quite ready for Listed company at Chester last month, but the Muhaarar filly shouldn't be underestimated on the return to handicaps. She may emerge as the chief threat to the selection, ahead of the in-form Divine Comedy.

SANCTION was a most comfortable winner at Catterick and she's fancied to maintain her unbeaten start for the Ed Bethell yard. Alba Longa wasn't herself in a higher grade at Chester last time but had looked one to keep on the right side of beforehand and can get back on track, whilst Reina del Mar is another who should be in the mix if able to shrug off a lesser effort last time.

More improvement seems likely from SANCTION, who can therefore extend her unbeaten record in handicaps. Divine Comedy is next best.

14:45 Ludlow Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

KUNDALINE sets a lofty standard with a rating of 129 after her respectable efforts at Auteuil earlier in the year and she is fancied to make her first start in the UK a victorious one. The main threat is Majestic Jameela after her second at Cartmel and she could take another step forward, while Grain Of Hope also needs consideration after hitting the crossbar on both of her hurdles starts to date.

KUNDALINE sets a high standard on her French form, performing with credit in listed company, and she can make the journey across the Channel worthwhile for connections. Majestic Jameela can chase her home unless the market suggests debutante Virginia Lodge is pretty useful.

The most interesting runner is French raider KUNDALINE, who performed well in Listed grade at Auteuil on her last two appearances.

14:55 Sedgefield Handicap Chase (Class 5) 19f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Coolmoyne posted several creditable efforts in defeat at this level last season and the seven-year-old must enter calculations once again. However, it could be worth chancing ROYLE STEEL, who may benefit from a 108-day break as well as Brian Hughes now doing the steering. Winning pointer Breeze Of Wind is another to consider on his handicap/chase debut for new connections.

COOLMOYNE is fairly treated on his return to action and looks the safest option in a race which makes minimal appeal from a betting perspective. Breeze of Wind and Brickadank can also make their presence felt.

The tentative selection is BERGENTOWN who looks to have the ability to have a big say from this mark.

LTO Selection:

15:00 Punchestown Handicap Hurdle 20f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

HEREDITARY RULE could be worth chancing off a mark of 114. He is rated 24lb higher over fences and has obviously been keeping good company in that discipline including when winning a Grade A handicap chase at Punchestown in April. He notably won on his last outing over hurdles at Downpatrick in September last year. Moonovercloon fell at the final flight when joined in Listowel, but certainly has prospects on his best form. Gold Speed kept on well to score in another race at Listowel and shouldn't be underestimated off 5lb higher, while Kilbeggan winner Tom McGreevy is up in trip and has his chance. Ms Agartha Yeats would be of interest as a maiden hurdle winner on debut at Wexford, however, she has been off for almost a year which tempers enthusiasm.

Lots of runners but COMO PARK still rather stands out from an opening handicap hurdle mark which could prove very lenient judged on Flat ability. The blinkers he wore to good effect on the Flat are now in place for the first time over hurdles and this longer trip should also be in his favour so there are plenty of reasons to be positive. Moonovercloon, Clifftop, Hereditary Rule, who is well treated on chase form, and Ms Agartha Yeats should be involved in the battle for minor honours.

If suffering no ill effects from a poor run at the Galway festival, HEREDITARY RULE may be able to take advantage of his hurdles mark

15:12 Nottingham Stakes (Class 2) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

The King's General, a half-brother to Listed winner Perfect Alibi, is worth a second look on his debut, more so if strong in the market. However, MIDAIR sets a fair standard on last month's runner-up effort at Goodwood and he could put that experience to good use by going one place better. Last-time-out winner Going The Distance is heading in the right direction and completes the shortlist.

MIDAIR was still slightly rough around the edges but shaped most encouragingly behind a more experienced rival at Goodwood last time and the well-bred Juddmonte colt is fancied to get off the mark at the third attempt. Going The Distance is also open to progress having overcome greenness to score at Ffos Las, whilst The King's General is a very appealing newcomer for the Gosden yard.

Going The Distance concedes 6lb to MIDAIR who has a much better chance on form. Others could also play a part.

15:20 Ludlow Handicap Chase (Class 3) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

REXEM was second to a subsequent Grade 3 runner-up on his latest start and that form reads extremely well in the context of this race. The six-year-old could be well up to defying a mark of 131 here. Inishbiggle showed a lot more at Uttoxeter on his latest outing and he could have a say off a 1lb lower rating, while Sure Touch can beat Petrastar home for third on his debut over fences.

Point-winner REXEM has acquitted himself well in a trio of starts over fences in Ireland and can make a successful switch to handicapping here. Chase-debutant Sure Touch may provide the chief threat.

This could be a good opportunity for Irish raider REXEM, who ran well in defeat behind a pretty good horse at Galway last month.

15:30 Sedgefield Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Stable debutant Liberty Flame is worth a check in the market now entering handicaps, with his opening mark appearing to be workable. However, BRIAN'S JET has a more convincing profile following respectable third over 2m1f here on his return to action last week. The five-year-old may find enough improvement over this extra distance to land the spoils. Spot On Soph often gives her running and should be in the shake-up too.

PRINCE IMPERIAL was unsuited by the emphasis on speed on his return to this sphere at Newton Abbot and is worth another chance off what remains a tempting mark given his useful form on the Flat. The progressive Zwicky is feared most ahead of Spot On Soph.

The Phil Kirby-trained ZWICKY is open to further improvement and, if ready for this reappearance, he could take a bit of beating.

LTO Selection:

15:35 Punchestown Maiden Chase 18f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

HERCULE DU SEUIL will be a prohibitive price, but ought to deliver. Willie Mullins' chaser ran up a sequence of four clear-cut victories between May and September including at Grade 3 level on his last couple of starts at Galway and Roscommon. He won at Grade 2 level over hurdles and has really taken to chasing, so there should be plenty more races to be won with him. Mullins landed this race last year with another odds-on shot. Senecia actually beat Hercule Du Seuil at Ballinrobe in May before the latter began his winning run. He fell in a Grade 3 in Tipperary at the start of the month, but wasn't beaten at the time. Lucid Dreams arrives in good humour from a novice hurdle win at Killarney and a debut chasing success at Sligo. Trainer John Ryan thinks a lot of him and he should be in the mix even though he has plenty to find on form with Hercule Du Seuil.

HERCULE DU SEUIL's bold jumping has already taken him a fair way over fences and he's strongly fancied to successfully concede weight all round and record win number 5 over the larger obstacles before having his sights raised. Lucid Dreams is the forecast choice.

With four consecutive wins to his name since beaten by Senecia at Ballinrobe in May, HERCULE DE SEUIL is in a strong position

15:47 Nottingham Handicap (Class 3) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

LET'S DREAM has improved with every run so far in his young career, with his latest effort coming when victorious by a length and a half at Goodwood. The son of Territories is open to plenty more improvement, so he can go close on his nursery debut. Last-time-out winner Marefuori has to be considered off a 4lb higher mark, while Spanish Poet will find this a lot easier than the Listed contest at Salisbury.

GO DADDY was well suited by the longer distance when runner-up at Sandown 3 weeks ago, doing his best work late on, and he can make a winning handicap debut as he goes further up in trip now. Let's Dream opened his account at Goodwood last time and is feared most on his nursery bow, ahead of Marefuori.

The vote goes to LET'S DREAM following his smooth win over 1m2f at Goodwood, with Go Daddy feared most.

LISNAMULT LAD could not have won any easier at Hexham last time out and he must hold every chance of landing the double with conditions in his favour once more. John McConnell's charge gets the vote ahead of Ooh Betty, who arrives on a hat-trick after victories over C&D and at Uttoxeter. Pyffo showed plenty of ability in three bumper outings and must be noted on his hurdling bow.

A small field but it's still quite an interesting race. John McConnell's LISNAMULT LAD's proven race fitness earns him the vote over returning pair Ooh Betty, who like the selection is a dual hurdle winner, and Pyffo, who displayed plenty of ability in bumpers.

It's hard to get away from LISNAMULT LAD, who breezed to a wide-margin success at Hexham last month and looks useful.

Humps And Bumps has been running running well enough at this level since the start of the year and she should go well once more off the same mark as her fourth at Hexham last time. However, preference is for TOP DECISION, who was fifth over 3m last time and the step up in distance could eke out the required improvement in order for him to score. Fiston Du Mou warrants a market check on his first start for the Stuart Coltherd yard.

OCEANS RED has had excuses on his last 2 starts and won this by a wide margin last year, so could be the answer. Whataboutyeh looks the type to resume progress back from a break and is a clear next best ahead of Top Decision.

The suggestion is WHATABOUTYEH (nap) who is unexposed and should be better suited by today's ground than the heavy going at Cartmel.

16:10 Punchestown Conditions Chase 23f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

A cracking Grade 3 contest. MINELLA INDO won on seasonal reappearance at the start of his last campaign and could repeat the feat here. The 10-year-old gelding is well versed in Grade 1 staying chases and has a good record coming off a break. Gordon Elliott has taken the last three renewals of this race and fields three horses in his bid to capture it again. His Gold Cup third Conflated is sure to be popular and has bright prospects off top-weight. His stablemate, Delta Work, won the Cross Country Chase at last season's Cheltenham Festival and shouldn't be lacking in stamina. Willie Mullins' Fighter Allen has race fitness on his side from a win at Sligo last month and could be a big price against the returning 'big guns'.

CONFLATED has to concede weight all round but a repetition of the form of his Gold Cup third will see him prove hard to beat. Minella Indo scored on his return last term and is narrowly preferred to Delta Work for the forecast spot.

Despite reservations about his ability to produce his best form when fresh CONFLATED may enhance his trainer's fine record in this race

LTO Selection:

16:17 Kempton Handicap (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

The unbeaten MEZZO SOPRANO has made quite the impression in both starts, and a mark of 75 could prove particularly lenient on her handicap debut with the step up in trip expected to suit. The more exposed King Of Ithaca did it well here last month and is entitled to be thereabouts, while Triggered, a winner of two of his last three starts, has the form to get involved too.

MEZZO SOPRANO has created a good impression in winning her first 2 starts and an opening mark of 75 probably underestimates her, so she gets the nod over King of Ithaca, who beat a subsequent winner here last time.

Preference is for KING OF ITHACA (nap), who has very solid course form for his new yard. Mezzo Soprano is feared most.

16:22 Nottingham Handicap (Class 4) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

MARCHING BAND has shown plenty of promise in maiden company the last twice for his powerful connections, including when third at Pontefract last time. The son of Ribchester could take a big step forward now entering the handicap ranks. The in-form Yorkstone will give him plenty to think about as he seeks the hat-trick, while Where's Freddy is the pick of the remainder following his second at Yarmouth.

Having shown improved form on his handicap debut, IN THE TRENCHES shaped as if needing the run after 4 months off on his latest outing, so he could still have more to offer on only his third start of the year. The 3-y-o is taken to see off the challenge of the hat-trick seeking Yorkstone, with Romilda another who merits consideration.

Competitive. WHERE'S FREDDY and Yorkstone at the foot of the weights have unfinished business over this trip.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Now that the penny has dropped for HEDERA PARK, after a comfortable success at Worcester last month, there could be much more improvement to come from the five-year-old. A 10lb higher mark could be workable and she may have too much for Police Academy, who has been a revelation since joining the Fergal O'Brien yard. Voice Of Calm is of interest on her return to hurdles and cannot be ruled out either.

POLICE ACADEMY has thrived for the switch to Fergal O'Brien and can make it 3 wins in her last 4 starts. Voice of Calm might be the one to give her most to do if she's ready to roll after 6 months off.

Top of the list is HEDERA PARK (nap), who appered to have quite a bit left in the tank when scoring on last month's handicap debut.

AMBASSADOR had Balranald back in second by just under a length when winning for the second time since joining the Micky Hammond stable at Kelso three weeks ago. The son of Invincible Spirit only has to give an extra 1lb away to his reopposing rival on this occasion and he should be more than capable of doing so. Leopolds Rock has hit the frame on each of his last two starts and he could have a say off the same rating as his second over C&D last month. A Shining Moon completes the shortlist.

A SHINING MOON has been knocking on the door over hurdles, and having come up a nose short at Kelso 3 weeks ago, he can gain compensation from the same mark. Leopolds Rock isn't straightforward but he has it him to be a big factor at this level, with Frisco Queen another to consider.

Paul Midgley's A SHINING MOON can race off the same mark as when a very good Kelso second and is taken to bag a first win in this sphere

HASCOEUR CLERMONT signalled that a win may not be far away when third in Downpatrick. He kept on nicely up the stiff finish to come home just behind the two horses who dead-heated for first place. It is heartening that the horse well behind him in fourth took the honours at Sligo on his next start. He Fitz In could be considered unlucky in a Sligo handicap chase as he fell at the last fence when holding a one-length lead. Prior to that, he delivered over flights in Navan so he has certainly struck form and merits plenty of respect. Likable Chancer has filled the runner-up berth in staying races at Listowel and Killarney, so has a decent chance off a light weight. Movie King was scratched from Downpatrick last Friday because of soft ground and the forecast rain wouldn't be to his liking.

LIKABLE CHANCER has been knocking on the door of late and should go well again. He Fitz In was around 2 lengths up when falling at the last at Sligo 2 weeks ago so rates a big threat if none the worse, while Midnight Our Fred should do better now handicapping.

Unlucky at Sligo recently, HE FITZ IN has been raised 5lb but can gain compensation

AGE OF BAROQUE showed plenty of ability when third on his debut over C&D last month and, with normal improvement expected, this well-bred son of Lope De Vega can get off the mark on this occasion. Odonnell's Orchard brings a higher level of form to the table and is one to watch out for, while Cynosure shaped well on his racecourse bow at Newbury despite a tardy start.

AGE OF BAROQUE's third over C&D on debut is the best piece of form and he's open to improvement, so he's a confident choice to open his account at the second attempt. Cynosure is a danger and Formidable Force also has potential.

Having made promising debut over this C&D, AGE OF BAROQUE holds the strongest claims. Ciro Di Marzio is second choice.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

David O'Meara has a fine record with his French recruits and STRESSFREE has been knocking on the door since joining the yard. His most recent second at Ayr hinted that a return to winning ways could be near, and this looks like an ideal opportunity. Ectocross, a winner of two of his last four starts, looks best placed to chase him home, while Unplugged rarely runs a bad race and is another to consider.

STRESSFREE has made an encouraging start for David O'Meara, pulling clear of the remainder when runner-up at Ayr 8 days ago, and he can build on that to go one better. The main danger could be Ectocross, who arrives on the back of a recent C&D success, with Unplugged completing the shortlist.

Stressfree will probably not have to wait much longer for his first British win but ECTOCROSS (nap) looks a rising force.

BACK ON THE LASH faced some stiff assignments in the Cross Country and Grand National after winning at Cheltenham in January and the nine-year-old could regain the winning thread in these calmer waters. Quick Draw likely has more to offer under the tutelage of Nicky Henderson and also enters calculations, while a wind procedure may have unlocked some improvement from the C&D winner Le Cameleon.

BACK ON THE LASH is back down in class and on a winning mark ahead of his return so can make it 4 wins from 4 at this track. C&D winner Le Cameleon won on his reappearance last season so may emerge as the biggest threat ahead of Quick Draw.

This might go to LE CAMELEON, who won when fresh and over C&D last season.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

An impressive winner on his first start for this yard over C&D last week, RESTANDBETHANKFUL should be open to plenty more improvement and a 7lb penalty looks manageable. Getaway Jewel bounced back to form with a runner-up effort at Kelso recently and he also looks to be a leading contender, along with Moore Clouds, who broke her maiden in comfortable fashion at Market Rasen when last seen.

RESTANDBETHANKFUL went with plenty of zest when scoring on debut for Lizzie Quinlan here last week and may be able to follow up. Gandhi Maker rates the principal danger.

The vote goes to MOORE CLOUDS who is still low mileage in this sphere and, after a break, can build on her Market Rasen maiden victory.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

MY GREAT MATE travelled well to win on testing ground at Galway which will stand him in good stead for this assignment. The horse he beat into second came out and took a Fairyhouse bumper last Saturday. This grey gelding is a half-brother to a Grade 1 winning hurdler and should have a bright future. Fleur In The Park rewarded plenty of support on debut at Roscommon last month and looks a nice prospect. He went off favourite and stuck to his task well to get up in the closing stages. Jockey Adam Ryan's 7lb claim is a bonus in bumpers. Beauforts Storm won a Cork bumper in July, but probably wasn't at her best when beaten into fourth when last seen in Down Royal. She has a part to play, though.

MY GREAT MATE stepped forward from his debut to open his account at the second attempt at Galway 72 days ago and, with the scope for better still, he's preferred to Fleur In The Park, who arrives on the back of an impressive success first time out. Beauforts Storm is best of the remainder.

The three previous winners look set to dominate, MY GREAT MATE holding the strongest form credentials

The penny dropped late for IMPERIAL GUARD on his debut over C&D last month and the way he finished his race was eye-catching and pointed to future success. This is a winnable contest and he gets the nod ahead of the costly Important Role, who may put up most resistance following a mediocre debut when favourite over C&D in August. Of the newcomers, Claxton Bay stands out as a half-brother to Tacarib Bay.

IMPERIAL GUARD's debut third over C&D 3 weeks ago was full of promise, and with improvement almost assured, he will take some stopping. Important Role will surely know more this time and is a threat, while Zoum Zoum and Claxton Bay are interesting newcomers.

LHEBAYEB has been in excellent form of late and dropping in trip shouldn't inconvenience her as she bids to make it three wins from her last four starts. Victor Dartnall's mare is narrowly preferred to Leicester runner-up Fillyfudge and Swing To The Stars, who has been running creditably of late without getting her head in front. Keep an eye on Kentucky Kingdom too.

SWING TO THE STARS seems to be building up to something, doing well to finish second at Brighton last month, so she could be the answer. Fillyfudge and Corsican Caper head the dangers.

The in-form FILLYFUDGE is taken to go one better than when runner-up at Leicester last month. Lhebayeb is next on the list.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Miss Applejack came good at the second time of asking when just holding on over C&D in May and is sure to prove popular, but she may be worth taking on now shouldering a 7lb penalty. Debutant TOO MUCH HAMMER, a half-brother to the bumper winner Fire Away, possesses enough speed in his pedigree to suggest that he can land a race of this nature and gets the vote. Bobby's Fortune makes most appeal of the remainder.

TOO MUCH HAMMER is related to a useful chaser and his stable often have their representatives ready to go in this sphere, so he gets the marginal vote over Miss Applejack, who narrowly opened her account when last seen. Dante's Inferno is another notable newcomer.

Too Much Hammer and Miss Applejack are interesting newcomers but course winner MISS APPLEJACK gets the vote.

17:45 Sedgefield NH Flat Race (Class 4) 17f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

The Lucinda Russell yard can do little wrong at present and the Kenny Alexander-owned BACKDOORFLUSH could be a nice recruit as she makes her debut. The four-year-old's dam won on her racecourse bow herself, which bodes well and she gets the vote ahead of the impressive Cheltenham winner Micks Jet, who has a 7lb penalty to overcome. Listentoyourheart is another to consider for a stable that knows how to ready one first time out.

BACKDOORFLUSH is bred to go well in this sphere and she represents an in-form yard, so a chance is taken on her to get the better of Micks Jet who, admittedly, sets a good standard on his impressive Cheltenham success five months ago. Listentoyourheart is another one to note on debut.

An interesting bumper. MICKS JET looked a decidedly nice prospect in coming home in isolation at Cheltenham back in the spring.

18:00 Kempton Maiden (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

MIDDLESEX took a step forward from her debut effort at Wolverhampton to finish second at Beverley over an extended mile, with Satay Street (sixth) behind. With normal progression, the daughter of Territories could prove hard to beat under William Buick. Happy Place only went down to a warm favourite at Brighton last month and has to be considered, while Tamfana could have a say after her third at Ffos Las.

TAMFANA produced a promising first effort when third at Ffos Las and should be well up to winning a maiden. Middlesex and Green Sigma both progressed from their debut and are feared most.

18:30 Kempton Handicap (Class 4) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Mafnood showed up well on his nursery debut over 7f at Doncaster last month and he could appreciate this step back up in distance off a 2lb higher mark. However, preference is for SAHARA KITTEN, who has hit the crossbar on each of his two nursery starts and he ought to go close off the same mark as last time at Wolverhampton. Royal Supremacy should be monitored in the betting on his nursery bow.

The Haydock race MAFNOOD won in August worked out well and his subsequent excellent effort at Doncaster suggests he's capable of successfully giving weight all round here. C&D winner Rosenzoo has been given a short break and he's feared most, with L'Ennemi perhaps the pick of the nursey debutants.

19:00 Kempton Handicap (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

SHEROOD hit the frame on his handicap bow at Newmarket off this rating when last seen in July and he has Oisin Murphy booked on his return to action. The son of Night Of Thunder could have plenty more to come and he looks the one to be with. The main danger is Cliffs Of Capri, who ran well in fourth at Doncaster last month and has to be considered back in handicap company. Of the remainder, Nasim makes the most appeal.

Preference is for SHEROOD, who ran well on his Newmarket handicap bow last time and still has few miles on the clock. Enola Grey and Port Erin can also make their presence felt.

The in-form MOUNT OLYMPUS won for the third time from his last four starts at Goodwood a month ago and the five-year-old is hard to oppose off just a 4lb higher mark here. Barrier is unexposed and has to be of some interest on her return to action, while Ithaca's Arrow and Glorious Lion are others who are capable of going well.

Unexposed 3-y-os BARRIER and Glorious Lion look interesting back from breaks, with the former narrowly preferred. The thriving Mount Olympus is another must for the shortlist in a good race for the grade.

20:00 Kempton Handicap (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

DARK SIDE THUNDER has won his last two starts on the all-weather and his most recent efforts on turf suggest that he could be hard to stop now back on a synthetic surface. Inanna hit the crossbar at Yarmouth three weeks ago and is likely to be in the mix once again, while similar comments apply to Nogo's Dream and Golden Duke.

GOLDEN DUKE bounced back to form returned to AW when second at Newcastle 12 days ago and he's a tentative choice to go one better in an open-looking race. Nogo's Dream and Dark Side Thunder are both dangers.

20:30 Kempton Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

MAGICINTHEMAKING was only beaten a head into second over 6f here a week ago and the step back up in trip can see this former C&D winner go one better off the same mark. White Mist was also narrowly denied on her most recent outing and she could prove to be the main threat, ahead of Carry On Aitch and Purple Poppy.

MAGICINTHEMAKING ran a cracker on her return from 5 months off here last week and looks poised to return to winning ways. White Mist and Purple Poppy head the list of dangers.
