LTO Selection:

13:37 Leicester Handicap (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

This is heavy on numbers but low on previous winners, so a chance is taken on HORSE WHISPERER utilising her experience to extend the run of good form since starting out in handicaps. Having won her nursery debut off 3lb lower at Brighton on her penultimate start, the form of her latest outing has worked out well (the third-placed horse has won three times since) and she should have her say today. Marie's Secret is a potential improver with cheekpieces retained, while Big Brown Bear and Black Jack Davey are also considered.

An ultra-competitive opener in which preference is for BIG BROWN BEAR, who ran his best race sporting first-time headgear when a close third at Kempton last month and Eve Johnson Houghton's charge can build on that effort quickly returned to turf. Marie's Secret ran well here just over 2 weeks ago so she may emerge as the main danger, with Horse Whisperer and Dc Flyer another couple worth considering.

Kevin Ryan's DC FLYER had looked on the up when scoring on good to soft at Hamilton before underperforming on less testing ground.

LTO Selection:

13:45 Brighton Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

The step up in trip can work the oracle for EYES CLOSED on her nursery debut after a relatively promising effort over shorter at Chelmsford last month. Brandon Wilkie's 7lb claim is a major plus and she is preferred to six-race maiden Head's Gone Pal and Birkie Boy, who has finished in the first three on both starts here and deserves a change in luck.

A very low-grade nursery that could go to EYES CLOSED, who was doing her best work at the finish at Chelmsford recently and will be suited by this longer trip. Miss Dubai and Search, the only previous winner in the field (and at this track, too), are also considered.

The suggestion is BIRKIE BOY who scored high marks for consistency prior to an excusable run last time when behind Head's Gone Pal.

LTO Selection:

13:50 Punchestown Conditions Hurdle 17f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Awarded the race in the stewards' room after just failing at Listowel on hurdles debut, the lightly raced WODHOOH can get her head in front here. The Gordon Elliott-trained filly shaped well on a couple of occasions for previous connections in the UK but always gave the impression she would improve with time. The form of her initial run over flights looks strong in the context of this race, so she should be capable of taking another step up the ladder. Our Boy Wes made a winning debut over hurdles at Ballinrobe but failed to back that up at Market Rasen last time. The Emmett Mullins-trained gelding remains of interest given his largely progressive profile. Pigeon House also rates a danger in receipt of weight from the previous winners although he will need to show further improvement.

Quite a useful early-season juvenile. WODHOOH gets the nod for Gordon Elliott, but fellow hurdle winners Cossack Chach and Our Boy Wes are also likely to be in the thick of things, while recent Gowran second Pigeon House also has the form to get very competitive.

WODHOOH showed a fine attitude at Listowel when interfered with and can only improve from that hurdles debut.

LTO Selection:

14:12 Leicester Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

ARIZONA DESERT proved to be underestimated when she held on for a place at Newcastle three weeks ago. Having taken up the running a couple of furlongs out that day, she responded with enthusiasm and was only just run out of things in the final strides. With Hollie Doyle returning to take over from an apprentice, compensation could be on the cards today. Vintage Love is another with a solid chance back on turf, while Moreginplease is respected now dropped in class.

ARIZONA DESERT displayed improved form when third starting out for a new yard at Newcastle 3 weeks ago, and in the hope she can continue the good work on turf, is offered to get off the mark. Vintage Love is very likely to give her running based on her profile, with this stiff 7f likely to be ideal for Batal Dandy.

Amo Racing's ARIZONA DESERT made a promising start for her new stable when third at Newcastle and can gain her first success.

LTO Selection:

14:20 Brighton Maiden (Class 4) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

This can go the way of DIANARA, who had shown up well on her debut in a valuable maiden at Deauville before running with plenty of credit at Newcastle last time out. The daughter of Goken should have too much for Fernden Wells, who had Floridian (third) narrowly behind when runner-up at Lingfield in August. Willy Campbell posted a career-best effort when not beaten far at Kempton last month and he cannot be ruled out either.

WILLY CAMPBELL left his previous efforts well behind when third at Kempton 13 days ago, closing all the way to the line, and he can take another step forward to get off the mark. Dianara has run to a fair level when making the frame on both of her starts so far and is respected back up in trip, with Fernden Wells the pick of the remainder.

This can go the way of DIANARA who ran well over 6f last time and yet it was over this trip when shaping so well in France.

14:25 Punchestown Handicap Hurdle 17f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

PARK OF KINGS looks capable of following up his recent Roscommon win off an 8lb higher mark. Paul Nolan's five-year-old had run well in a couple of bumpers last season before showing plenty of ability on his initial runs over hurdles. The JP McManus-owned gelding put it all together last month when running out a ready winner on just his second foray into handicap company. Mark Walsh never had to get too serious on the son of Walk In The Park, so he should have more to offer. Baltinglass Hill hinted at a revival when runner-up to a well handicapped mare at Killarney last time. He, too, looks well treated these days off a mark 6lb below his last win. Last time out winner Mr Macphisto also warrants respect as an in-form contender.

This looks a strong race for the grade with taking last-time-out winners REDWOOD QUEEN and Park of Kings probably the pair to focus on. Both landed a gamble last time and boast the scope to rate quite a bit higher, with marginal preference for the Charles Byrnes runner. Of the rest, Contrapposto and Mr Macphisto are of interest.

Preference is for PARK OF KINGS(nap) who was a comfortable Roscommon winner on return from an absence and has improvement to come.

14:35 Huntingdon Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

This looks like an ideal opportunity for SCHOOL DAYS OVER to get off the mark in this sphere, having shown up well last season on a couple of occasions without winning. Runner-up in a Listed bumper at Cheltenham last November, his level of form should be too much for Mr Mackay, who went well for a long way at Worcester before a mistake at the second last cost him. Irish recruit Jimmy Boy has plenty of experience and must be noted for any market support.

SCHOOL DAYS OVER proved expensive to follow over hurdles last season, but he sets a clear standard on the pick of his form and is worth one more chance on his return to action. Mr Mackay can improve on his opening effort in this sphere at Worcester last month and is feared most ahead of Jimmy Boy, who sets out for the upwardly-mobile stable of James Owen.

Placed in Ireland during the summer, JIMMY BOY has recently joined a burgeoning new stable and might be the answer.

14:47 Leicester Stakes (Class 4) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

DANCE DESIRE, who cost 240,000 gns as a yearling, is an intriguing filly for John and Thady Gosden to introduce at this time of year. Her dam is a half-sister to Maxi Boy, who was placed in the Group 2 Superlative Stakes as a juvenile and gives her strong appeal on pedigree. Warda Jamila, a half-sister to Lonsdale Cup winner Coltrane, is feared but needs a step forward from her debut, so well-bred newcomers Beatrice Shilling and Blue Akoya might be bigger threats to the selection.

DANCE DESIRE makes plenty of appeal on paper and the daughter of Sea The Stars could be up to making a winning start for her leading connections. She is taken to get the better of Warda Jamila, who shaped promisingly at this course last month on her debut, while Tumbleweed is another to consider on her first outing.

Warda Jamila sets the standard but there are some interesting newcomers of whom BEATRICE SHILLING may prove the pick.

14:55 Brighton Handicap (Class 6) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

ASENSE may not have won here in four attempts, but Gary Moore's charge is in the form of her life at present and, having won with a bit to spare at Bath last week, there is every chance of her defying a 5lb penally to bring up the four-timer. She goes on any ground and it may be that recent Bath second Broad Appeal gives her the most to think about, despite the latter being winless since June 2020. Control and course specialist Temur Khan can also have a say.

ASENSE came clear in good style under Anna Gibson at Bath last week and can nab the 4-timer. Broad Appeal is feared most ahead of Cloudy Rose.

A low-grade handicap. John Butler's CONTROL should again be competitive, as has been the case here of late.

15:00 Punchestown Conditions Hurdle 18f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Champion Hurdle third ZANAHIYR appears to have been found an excellent opportunity to make a winning start to his latest campaign. The Gordon Elliott-trained six-year-old tends to run well off the back of a break but the race conditions here give him a significant advantage over his two rivals. Despite being a genuine Grade 1 horse, rated upwards of 12lb higher than both, he meets them off level weights. Run For Oscar continues to improve on the Flat, arriving here on the back of a career-best effort when third in the Prix du Cadran. Despite having a bit to do on official ratings the gelding looks to be improving at the age of eight. Andy Dufresne will most likely have his season planned around another tilt at the Grand Annual at Cheltenham but he is a capable hurdler on his day.

A good opportunity for the very smart ZANAHIYR to make a winning return. Run For Oscar is fit from the Flat so may make more of a race of it than he is entitled to on form.

The weights favour Zanahiyr but he may be vulnerable to RUN FOR OSCAR who comes here with a solid Group 1 Flat run under his belt

15:10 Huntingdon Handicap Chase (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

An easy winner at Stratford last time out, CHESS PLAYER must hold every chance of following up from a 7lb higher mark, while the fact he won here over shorter in May is another major plus. Hidden Depths arrives with similar claims after a bloodless success at Sedgefield last week, but a 7lb penalty will make life tougher and Neil Mulholland's charge has never been the most consistent. Line Of Descent is another capable performer on his day and will appreciate going back up in distance.

CHESS PLAYER resumed winning ways in emphatic fashion at Stratford 6 weeks ago and a 7 lb rise looks on the lenient side. Hidden Depths had plenty in hand at Sedgefield last week so is an obvious threat under a penalty, with Line of Descent best of the others.

The suggestion is WHODINI, who collected two 2m chases earlier this year and might progress again over this longer trip.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

STONE OF DESTINY may be winless since the 2020 Portland, but he has found a new lease of life recently and stepping up in trip may be just what is needed to get his head back in front. Hoof It Hoof It did it well when scoring at Ripon last month and must be a leading contender, along with Nottingham winner Ray Vonn, who looks to uphold form with the capable Selby's Pride (third).

If HOOF IT HOOF IT is in the same form as when scoring with something in hand at Ripon recently a 6 lb rise doesn't look enough to prevent her following up. The frustrating Stone of Destiny was rather outbattled at Redcar last time but is in good enough form to think he'll be bang there again. His stablemate Maxzeno could also have a say if reacting positively to wind surgery.

Secret Mistral is respected but RAY VONN remains open to further improvement for a yard that could hardly be in better form.

15:30 Brighton Handicap (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

CRYPTOS DREAM was a beaten favourite on her latest start under a 5lb penalty at Ripon when attempting to back up a C&D success only a week earlier. Given enough time to recover from that display, it wouldn't be a surprise to see the four-year-old bounce back today. Chinthurst is expected to benefit from a drop in trip after his third at Epsom, while the shortlist is completed by Habanero Star and James Bradley.

SILVER BUBBLE took a division of this last season and she could be ready to strike off a reduced mark having run well at Kempton a couple of starts back. Habanero Star and Cryptos Dream are feared.

The filly CRYPTOS DREAM perhaps went off a bit too hot last time at Ripon and was a convincing winner here the time before.

15:35 Punchestown Maiden Hurdle 20f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

One of last seasons better bumper horses, POUR LES FILLES, can make a winning start to his career over hurdles. The Gordon Elliott-trained five-year-old won on his sole point-to-point run, before making a successful debut under rules in what is traditionally a strong bumper at the Leopardstown Christmas Festival. Following a highly creditable fifth in the Grade 2 bumper at Aintree in April, the Pour Moi gelding was put away with a hurdling career in mind. Smart flat handicapper Morph Speed ran well for a long ways on his recent debut over flights at Killarney. The seven-year-old should be all the better for that initial experience. Antrim Coast has the strongest hurdles form on offer, having filled the runner-up position at Navan last month.

ANTRIM COAST shaped very well sent hurdling when runner-up at Navan and can go one better with big improvement expected. Pour Les Filles and Mister Pink are both bumper winners from big stables so are likely threats.

Gordon Elliott may have the solution to this with POUR LES FILLESD whose bumper credentials look superior to those of Mister Pink

15:45 Huntingdon Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

BENNY SILVER returned from a 215-day break to run a career-best when second at Uttoxeter in August and that form gives him very strong claims in this. The from of his stable could hardly be better and the son of Mastercraftsmen gets the vote ahead of unexposed handicap debutant Saint Jaguen and Anger Management, who returned to winning ways with a determined success at Bangor-on-Dee last month.

BENNY SILVER couldn't quite justify support on reappearance/handicap debut at Uttoxeter in August but it was a promising run nonetheless and he looks ahead of his mark for a yard going great guns. Saint Jaguen should have more to offer and is feared, along with Anger Management.

Raised just 1lb for his creditable second at Uttoxeter six weeks ago, low-mileage 5yo BENNY SILVER is taken to go one better today.

15:57 Leicester Handicap (Class 4) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Slight preference is for the unexposed GEMINI STAR, who was narrowly denied at Yarmouth last time out and could be open to plenty more improvement on ground that should suit. Alice Hayne's charge is preferred to easy Lingfield scorer Almaty Star and Speedacus, who is unlucky not to be arriving on a hat-trick having gone very close at Hamilton last week. Ey Up It's Maggie and Level Up are also entitled to be thereabouts.

Having won a C&D last month, SPEEDACUS recorded another excellent effort when finding only a 3-y-o a short-head too good at Hamilton 8 days ago. He's 1 lb lower here so makes plenty of appeal, with Almaty Star and Level Up feared most.

Rambuso Creek can show the benefit of wind surgery but GEMINI STAR is unexposed and a well-run race over a stiff 5f should be ideal.

LTO Selection:

16:05 Brighton Maiden (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

PROMETEO sets the form standard based on his two efforts to date, finishing third at Kempton before filling the runner-up spot at Yarmouth and he travelled strongly throughout that latter contest over a furlong further. The return to a mile can see him shed the maiden tag in a contest that lacks depth on paper. Rogue King comes from the family of The Fugue and is an interesting newcomer, while Volcanology is also noted.

An ordinary-looking maiden which can go to PROMETEO, who didn't do a lot wrong when edged out late on at Yarmouth 3 weeks ago and remains capable of better. Rogue King and Belarmindar are a couple of newcomers to keep a close eye on in the betting.

Although it was disappointing that PROMETEO couldn't get the job done at Yarmouth after travelling much the best, he's clearly useful.

LTO Selection:

16:10 Punchestown Handicap Hurdle 20f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

IRISH ENVOY finished runner-up here either side of two somewhat disappointing runs over hurdles. A bumper winner on his debut last year, the Liz Doyle-trained five-year-old clearly has two ways of running but could prove well handicapped if he produces his best form. Recent Gowran winner We'llgowats has to be a leading contender once again in a race that doesn't have a great deal of strength in depth. The eight-year-old mare shouldn't be too far away. Scott Lang is another that is more than capable if at his best. The Paul Flynn-trained gelding has a couple of bits of form in maiden company that would give him strong claims against what is largely quite exposed opposition.

GOT TO FLY caught the eye on his 2m Navan handicap debut last month and gets the nod now stepping back up in trip, with confidence in his chance increased should the betting speak in his favour. Atlantic Wonder shaped well when second at Navan last time and is unlikely to be far away if in similar form. Tideways Hero and Irish Envoy appeal as potential improvers now handicapping and also make the shortlist.

THAT'S ABOUT RIGHT could get off the mark dropped to this trip after failing to see out 2m6f at Ballinrobe last time.

16:15 Southwell Handicap (Class 6) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

PREMIERSHIP has done very well since joining the Michael Wigham yard and dropping back in trip looks like the correct move, having won over this distance at Yarmouth on his penultimate outing. The four-year-old remains on a workable mark and he could have too much for Meng Tian and Amathus, who has won two of his last three starts. Others to note include Kalamunda, Lowick and Tacitus.

PREMIERSHIP shaped as if still in good form when stretched by the longer trip at Ripon and remains of interest back at a more suitable distance. Kalamunda has improved since switched to handicaps and is next best ahead of Meng Tian.

The choice is MENG TIAN who ran his best race for a while when third of 12 over C&D 12 days ago.

16:20 Huntingdon Handicap Chase (Class 5) 24f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

REGARDE was successful in the pointing sphere back in March 2022 and the six-year-old, who didn't exactly go on as expected in four starts over hurdles, has the opportunity to take a big step forward now switched to chasing. Honneur De Sivola only found one too good over an extended 2m3f at Plumpton last time and he is 2lb lower now stepped up in trip, while If I Say completes the shortlist.

REGARDE has the profile of one who could fare a lot better now chasing and gets the vote, with confidence in his chance increased should the betting vibes be strong. If I Say has shown he can be very competitive from his mark and is second choice ahead of Hollow Ron, who like the selection is a chase newcomer with a point win to his name.

He has stamina to prove today but HONNEUR DE SIVOLA threatened to win a chase in the spring and again ran well in defeat last month.

LTO Selection:

16:32 Leicester Handicap (Class 3) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

The form of INTRICACY's most recent third at Newbury looks very strong, with the second scoring in since and the winner finishing second in the Cambridgeshire. The form of his stable must also be noted and the son of Dubawi may have too much for Forceful Speed, who arrives on a four-timer. Another consistent sort at this level, Box To Box must enter calculations, along with the unexposed Ziryab and The City's Phantom.

FORCEFUL SPEED races off the same mark as when successful at Epsom 9 days ago so should stand a good chance of extending his winning run to 4. Fellow 3-y-os Intricacy and Ziryab, who has his first outing since being gelded, can give him most to do in quite a useful contest.

The filly CHELSEA GREEN (nap) is interesting on the strength of her Listed third in France and she got no cover last time.

LTO Selection:

16:40 Brighton Handicap (Class 6) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

This is competitive for the grade, with the likes of Style Of Life (winner), a lightly-raced three-year-old, and old stager, Voltaic (third), both high on the shortlist after their encounter at Wolverhampton 15 days ago. Harry The Haggler also enters calculations back in a handicap after winning a maiden here last month. However, MOONDIAL is worth another try over this trip and, with her recent form working out well, the Kubler's filly edges the vote.

STYLE OF LIFE made all in good style on her recent handicap debut at Wolverhampton and is likely to improve again so she could be hard to stop. C&D winner Harry The Haggler and Moondial are also big players.

Jim Boyle's BUY THE DIP beat all bar a well-handicapped rival last time and Luke Catton gets to claim 5lb this time.

LTO Selection:

16:45 Punchestown Handicap Hurdle 23f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Despite being one of the elder statesmen in this line-up, the 12-year-old A GREAT VIEW holds leading claims under Charlie O'Dwyer. A winner at Ballinrobe on his penultimate start, the Denis Cullen-trained gelding made a bad mistake at Gowran last time which effectively ended his chances. With O'Dwyer taking over in the saddle here, the JP McManus-owned gelding is only a pound higher than for his last win. Glenquin Castle, who also carries the famous green and gold silks, has to be a danger under Mark Walsh. A winner over fences at Galway last month, the nine-year-old can race off a 6lb lower hurdles mark. The more unexposed Getaway Charlie could be involved especially given the excellent form of his trainer over the past few months.

This looks competitive, with several to consider, but SEA ASTER and Hand Over Fist appeal as the pair with the greatest potential given their relatively low mileage. The latter is not passed over at all lightly in his hat-trick bid, but Sea Aster was strong at the finish in first-time cheekpieces when second to Costanuci (winner again since) over 2½m at Listowel, and she may well improve again back up in trip with blinkers enlisted. No Thanks is third choice, while Good World also has claims.

SEA ASTER could be improving enough to take this after running well against a progressive rival at Listowel last time.

16:50 Southwell Maiden (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

RUN FOR THE SUN has shown more than enough in both career outings to suggest that she can get off the mark now, with the step up in trip expected to eke out further improvement. Cloudy Skye disappointed last time out but she had gone well prior to that, while Shakeela ran with credit on her racecourse bow at Doncaster. A costly purchase at the sales and closely related to a couple of smart sorts, Battle Queen looks to be the pick of the newcomers.

RUN FOR THE SUN gets the vote with 7f promising to suit her but a strong market move for well-bred newcomers Battle Queen and/or Completed would put a slightly different slant on things. Cloudy Skye got stuck in the mud last time but showed promise prior to that and also merits respect.

It may be worth siding with CLOUDY SKYE who has shown ability and whose half-brother won twice over this C&D earlier in the year.

LTO Selection:

16:55 Huntingdon Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 25f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

BLUE SANS arrives in excellent form following a hat-trick of victories, all of them coming at Southwell during the summer months, and a 5lb rise for the latest success may not be enough to stop her. Edison Kent has been knocking on the door recently, with a step up in trip appearing to unlock some improvement, and he enters calculations along with The Questioner.

In what looks like a pretty trappy affair, THE QUESTIONER could be the answer. He didn't go on as hoped following a promising start over fences last season but he's profile in this sphere is a largely progressive one and he resumes on a manageable mark (just 1 lb higher than for his chase debut success at Doncaster in January). Edison Kent holds Pottlerath based on their recent meeting at Warwick and he is feared most ahead of the in-form but up-in-the-weights Blue Sans.

James Owen's EDISON KENT (nap) may not have enjoyed favourable tactical scenarios when second in his last two races and gets the nod.

17:07 Leicester Handicap (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Royal Bliss got off the mark at Yarmouth last month and she is likely to enter the reckoning once again, despite a 4lb rise from the handicapper. Bird Of Play shaped as though the return to 7f would aid his cause when fourth at Redcar last time, but a chance is taken with CHARENCEY. He has shaped with promise on a couple of occasions and an opening mark of 66 could prove to be lenient.

ROYAL BLISS bounced back to the pick of her juvenile form when landing a handicap at Yarmouth 3 weeks ago, and on that evidence, she can follow up from 3 lb higher. Charency is a likely improver now handicapping, with the enigmatic Marsh Benham one to consider for place purposes.

The filly CHORUS LINE didn't run too badly last time on ground that was perhaps a little too testing and she seems to like it here.

LTO Selection:

17:15 Brighton Handicap (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Veteran sprinter BOOM THE GROOM retains his enthusiasm and, having won two of his last three starts in gritty fashion, he could well fight his way to further success. A close third on the all-weather last time, the versatile 12-year-old won over the 6f trip here off this mark last summer and has little to fear dropping in trip/reverting to turf. Recent course winners Cuban Grey and Thank The Lord are feared, while the well-handicapped Street Parade cannot be ruled out.

BOOM THE GROOM has returned to form of late, running well when third at Chelmsford in his bid for a hat-trick last time, so he is taken to quickly resume winning ways. He can see off the challenge of Cuban Grey, who made a successful stable debut at this C&D on his latest outing, with Atty's Edge completing the shortlist.

Having made the perfect start for his new connections CUBAN GREY (nap) is taken to defy his 5lb rise in the weights.

LTO Selection:

17:20 Punchestown NH Flat Race 17f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

TARNOVA is an interesting newcomer for Michael Halford and Tracey Collins in this finale. A half-sister to a leading stayer on the level, she is somewhat different to most bumper runners from flat yards, in that her stamina is almost certainly assured. Having been given time to mature to the age of four, she may reward connections patience. Royal Hollow has finished runner-up on three of her four starts to date so is showing plenty of consistency for trainer Andrew Slattery. While always somewhat vulnerable to an unexposed debutant, the Beat Hollow mare should get her turn at some stage. Traditude Tara disappointed at Listowel last month but a reproduction of her debut second would make her a leading contender for Willie and Patrick Mullins.

THE TWELVE PINS has gone well in Galway Festival bumpers a year apart and can open her account in the hope she'll strip fitter for her run 10 weeks ago. Stablemate Traditude Tara, newcomer True Testimony and Royal Hollow are among the other leading players.

It would seem easier to forgive ROYAL HOLLOW for a Clonmel second than to pardon Traditude Tara for a total flop at Listowel

LTO Selection:

17:25 Southwell Maiden (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

A well-bred sort by Invincible Spirit who cost a pretty penny at the sales, SPINTO SOPRANO went well for a long way before fading late on her debut at Salisbury last month. Plenty of improvement is expected on that effort and she can break the maiden at the main expense of Elegant Friend and Salamanca City, who didn't do herself any favours when slowly away at Kempton before running on late for fourth.

SPINTO SOPRANO looked in need of the experience when fifth behind her better-fancied stablemate Skellet in a useful-looking Salisbury maiden on debut last month. She will be more street-wise this time and is taken to add to the Ralph Beckett yard's impressive haul of 2-y-o winners in 2023. Salamanca City and Elegant Friend are likely improvers too, and are feared most in that order of preference, while newcomers Secret World and Stars Away are both appealing on paper.

The vote goes to SPINTO SOPRANO who has a nice pedigree and the form of her Salisbury debut has since been boosted.

17:30 Huntingdon NH Flat Race (Class 5) 14f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

TOPKAPI is a rare runner in this sphere for Andrew Balding and the son of Bobby's Kitten, whose half-sister was a winner over an extended 1m3f on the level, makes plenty of appeal with Sean Bowen a notable jockey booking. Hill Spirit boasts a decent pedigree and represents a yard that have done particularly well with their limited National Hunt runners. Suleiman Artist, Theincrowd and Saved Lizzie are others worth noting.

A bumper for unraced 3-y-os and the betting may help sort them out with HILL SPIRIT, Suleiman Artist and Topkapi selected as the three against the field as things stand.

The suggestion is TOPKAPI, who represents a top Flat stable and has more compelling stamina credentials than some.

17:40 Leicester Handicap (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

SEATTLE TIME appeared to show his inexperience under pressure when runner-up on his handicap bow at Chepstow and the son of Time Test is likely to be more streetwise on this occasion. Media Guest has been running consistently well of late and is likely to be competitive once again, while Micks Dream, Shark Two One and Direct Hit are others capable of a decent showing.

Having been sold for just 1,000 gns, MICKS DREAM made an excellent start for new connections when second at Brighton despite a troubled passage. He's selected to go one place better at the chief expense of Media Guest and Tuscan.

After drawing clear if the others with a well-handicapped rival on his recent stable debut, MICKS DREAM is still on a good mark.

18:00 Southwell Stakes (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

VULTAR sets the bar quite high based on the official ratings and could be hard to beat if he runs true to his opening mark of 83. He finished a close third behind a couple of useful looking fillies at Kempton last time and, with the winner of that race subsequently allotted a figure of 90, the hint is too big to ignore. Summer Of Love ran green on debut but is entitled to be wiser now, while well-bred newcomers Souffionne and Dolce Courage both warrant betting checks.

Clear form pick VULTAR was left poorly placed after a tardy start when beaten favourite in a similar event at Kempton 3 weeks ago and is worth another chance. Summer of Love made an eye-catching debut at Kempton so rates the main threat, though well-connected newcomer Dolce Courage needs keeping an eye on.

This can go to VULTAR who has shown promise in all three starts and should be suited by the return to 7f.

LTO Selection:

18:30 Southwell Handicap (Class 6) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

CLUB MANAGER, a half-brother to useful hurdler Taglietelle, has flourished since being upped in trip and, having finished full of running when winning over two miles at Nottingham last week, he is a live contender for further success under a 6lb penalty. Papa Ricco got up late over 1m6f here last month and can go well off 2lb higher, with the additional yardage not expected to be a problem. Wannabe Brave is also considered off 7lb lower than his last winning mark.

The well-related CLUB MANAGER improved for the step up to 2m when scoring in cosy fashion at Nottingham recently and, with the promise of better to come from him at this trip, he is taken to follow up under a penalty. Wannabe Brave is 7 lb below the mark off which he gained his breakthrough success at Kempton last November and looks a threat on the back of a creditable third at the same course, while Ship To Shore and Papa Ricco can do battle for minor honours.

It was no surprise to see the well-bred CLUB MANAGER appreciate the step up to 2m at Nottingham and he's taken to defy a penalty.

19:00 Southwell Handicap (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Noteable is still low mileage and, having shown improvement since undergoing wind surgery in May, she could have more to offer. However, a drawn in stall 10 is a disadvantage and she also looks vulnerable under top-weight. With that in mind, previous C&D winner CONGRESS shades the vote. Jonny Peate got a good tune out of the selection when a close second at Newcastle last month and, off just 1lb higher, the three-year-old can go one place better here. The in-form Flavius Titus is another to consider.

ANGEL AMADEA caught the eye when finishing with running left back from a break at Newcastle 11 days ago and she's one to be interested in again now. Flavius Titus and Malinheadsearovers head the dangers.

Billian should be sharper for his recent return but he may have to give best to the well-treated COAXING (nap).

19:30 Southwell Handicap (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

ZING UP gained her first career victory at Lingfield last month following a string of consistent efforts and Tom Ward's filly, who was only making her fourth start on the all-weather, could have more to offer, despite a 3lb rise. Enchanted Night caught the eye when runner-up at Nottingham on Wednesday and she is respected along with Mehmo, who is 1lb lower than his last win at Beverley in July.

Perhaps MEHMO is in a consistent run of form- and can land another C&D win. Stallone is another who knows where the winning post is over C&D and is second choice ahead of recent Lingfield scorer Zing Up.

Mehmo should give it another good go but STALLONE is preferred as he bids for a third AW win of the year.

LTO Selection:

20:00 Southwell Handicap (Class 5) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

RODBOROUGH scored twice over C&D before filling the runner-up spot at Newcastle when going in search of a hat-trick. The return to this venue gives the daughter of Mayson an excellent opportunity to strike once again. Profitable Edge has been running consistently well this season and a drop in grade can aid her cause following her most recent effort at York. Starstriker is feared most of the remainder.

Perhaps STARSTRIKER simply found her latest below-form third coming too soon after her good comeback second at Windsor 16 days earlier and she's given another chance now handicapping after a short break. Rodborough arrives at the top of her game and rates an obvious danger. Profitable Edge has made a good start for the Barrons and should also have a part to play if taking to this new surface.

Rodborough is still improving and needs serious consideration but PROFITABLE EDGE can capitalise on today's drop in class.

LTO Selection:

20:30 Southwell Handicap (Class 6) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Lord Torranaga continues to hold his form well and another bold bid is expected. However, he is likely to be vulnerable for win purposes and the vote, therefore, goes to BLUE HAWAII. A winner when last seen on the level at Nottingham in May, the eight-year-old tasted defeat over hurdles soon after that success, but she has since been freshened up and may pick up where she left off in this sphere. Black Smoke and Spring Glow appeal most of the remainder.

LEDNIKOV is now rated lower than when scoring twice over C&D at the end of 2022 and might be worth siding with to resume winning ways back on AW after a decent run on turf last week. Lord Torranaga has been knocking on the door lately and rates an obvious danger. Oriental Art has proved expensive to follow but is more than capable of making an impact now dropping into a 0-60 for the first time.

The choice is SPRING GLOW who must have a solid chance if able to replicate his third of 14 from 2lb higher over C&D in August.
