(3) Zinchenko 14/1, Thrice-raced maiden and best run when fourth of 12 in minor event (200/1) at Kempton (7f) 17 days ago. Up in trip for his handicap debut and not taken lightly.
Could go well, provided latest effort is backed up.
LTO Selection:

13:50 Windsor Handicap (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

TACTICAL CONTROL seemed to appreciate a step up to this trip when runner-up at Bath last month and he makes plenty of appeal, especially given the fact he has been dropped 1lb by the handicapper for that effort. Zinchenko outran his 200/1 odds when fourth at Kempton and the extra furlong on his nursery bow promises to bring about improvement. Continuance and Bjorn Ironside can fight it out for minor money.

ZINCHENKO arrives on the back of a good Kempton fourth and with further improvement on the cards now upped in distance for his handicap bow he edges the vote. Phone Tag wasn't seen to best effect at Thirsk and is feared most for his in-form yard ahead of the handily weighted Continuance and handicap-debutant Bjorn Ironside.

(1) Curran 11/2, €45,000 yearling, Gleneagles colt. 7/2, left debut form well behind when winning 5-runner Newcastle novice (10.2f) 3 weeks ago, by 1½ lengths from The Hun, suited by increase in trip. Likely to progress further and claims despite conceding weight all round.
Carries penalty for winning but there is potential for him to improve again; respected.

(5) Love Safari 14/1, Galileo colt. Offered something to work on by the end when third of 5 in Carlisle novice (7.8f) ON DEBUT 32 days ago, soon off bridle and plugging on from 2f out. Open to improvement but yard look to hold stronger claims with Curran.

LTO Selection:

14:00 Pontefract Stakes (Class 4) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

PREPSCHOOL was a comprehensive winner at Ripon when last seen and, with a literal reading on a line through The Hun (second) giving him an edge over Curran, he has a live chance of registering back-to-back victories. The rest with previous experience appear to have improvement to find, and with that in mind, Agostino Masucci, whose dam is a half-sister to Rock Of Gibraltar, won't need to be out of the ordinary to make the frame on debut.

PREPSCHOOL was strong in the betting and duly showed improved form stepping up to 1m when making all at Ripon in August, by 3¼ lengths from re-opposing The Hun. Open to further improvement now his stamina is drawn out further, he can make another bold bid, with fellow last-time-out winner Curran rating the chief threat. Aforementioned The Hun should also be in the mix.

Michael Bell's PREPSCHOOL is very much on an upward curve and is taken to make the most of the 3lb he receives from Curran.

Good claims if judged on Fontwell win in May but refused to race there on Friday.

(7) Genuflex 14/1, Fair hurdler at his best but well below best over hurdles during second half of last year. Fairly low-key return in 2 spins on Flat in recent weeks but that will have done his fitness no harm.
Not seen over hurdles since two heavy defeats last autumn; recent Flat form uninspiring.

(8) Malina Ocarina 12/1, Landed a gamble in good style at Southwell (20.4f) in May but mixed bag has followed, pulled up in mares' handicap at Bangor (19.5f) 7 weeks ago. Has slipped back down to last winning mark if the break has perked her up.
Won in good style off 2lb lower in the spring but is not one to rely upon.
LTO Selection:

14:05 Stratford Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 22f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

MAROOCHI took a step in the right direction when third at Worcester in August and the mare has been found a suitable opportunity to gain a second career victory. Sir Rock refused to race when sent off favourite at Fontwell on Friday, but he would be capable of a decent showing if consenting to jump off with his rivals. Barrowmount and Dynamic Kate appeal most of the remainder.

A leap of faith is required in supporting TOP CLOUD yet he remains sufficiently unexposed to think he can improve in handicaps and, making his debut for a yard amongst the winners, he could just be worth chancing without the benefit of market clues. Cawthorne Lad and Dynamic Kate are others to consider, whilst Sir Rock has the ability to play a part, provided he consents to set off this time.

The pick is CAWTHORNE LAD, who was placed off today's mark over 2m4f last time and ought to be suited by today's longer trip.

LTO Selection:

14:20 Windsor Stakes (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

FAAYZAH had clearly benefited from her debut effort at Newmarket when filling the runner-up spot at Thirsk and a repeat of that display would make the daughter of Frankel hard to oppose. Geliceaux boasts a nice pedigree, coming from the family of Group 2-placed Juan Elcano, and she is of interest along with Regal Jubilee, who is expected to leave behind her Newmarket introduction.

FAAYZAH possesses much the best form on offer so is taken to go one better than his Thirsk second and get off the mark. Regal Jubilee proved very green when last at Newmarket on her recent debut and could emerge as the chief threat if, as expected, taking a sizeable step forward. Newmarket debut fifth Rainproof and newcomers Geliceaux and Breckenridge can't be ruled out either.

LTO Selection:

14:30 Pontefract Handicap (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Handicap debutant Validated hasn't really gone forward from his encouraging debut at Kempton in August, but is a possible improver with a visor now tried as he drops back to 6f for the first time. Invincible Molly is progressive and is feared on the back of a breakthrough triumph at York. However, this can go the way of CATTON LADY, whose recent second here is working out well and her previous C&D experience might be advantageous.

CATTON LADY got firmly back on track returning from 3 months off and caught the eye to boot when staying on well for second in a C&D novice 18 days ago. That marked her down as one to be interested in now handicapping and she earns the vote, with York-scorer Invincible Molly and Validated, who looks worthy of a try at this shorter trip, heading the dangers. Salamanca Lad is another in the mix.

Having got off the mark at York last time INVINCIBLE MOLLY is selected to follow up on her handicap debut by beating Willolarupi.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

KARTOON AND CO represents top connections and the son of Balko, who is related to several winners in France, gets the vote to make a successful start. Ben Brookhouse has his string in fine fettle and his Summer Night City commands plenty of respect, even though he sports a hood on debut. Similar comments apply to Lecce Lady, whose half-brother was a Listed bumper winner as a juvenile.

Four likeable 3-y-os for hurdling on paper and the betting may help sort them out, with SUMMER NIGHT CITY chanced for a red-hot yard that sent out a winning juvenile hurdler at Plumpton recently.

Guesswork is needed to pick the winner from this field of four newcomers but Dan Skelton's KARTOON AND CO might be the answer.

PHOENIX PASSION displayed a fine attitude to get off the mark on his nursery debut at Yarmouth and a 4lb rise is unlikely to stop Ed Walker's colt from taking another step forward. The extra couple of furlongs may also be in his favour. High Point has been competitive on all three starts to date and he is respected, while others for the shortlist include Beauty Generation and Monterosa.

PHOENIX PASSION took his form up a notch when going in at Yarmouth on his nursery debut last time and a 4 lb rise looks insufficient to prevent him from following up. Beauty Generation is feared most on the back of his Chelmsford City maiden succes with fellow handicap debutants High Point and Monterosa also in the mix.

Several hold good chances in a competitive event, not least Metahorse, who is a battle-hardened campaigner and has been cut some slack by the handicapper. Darryll Holland's gelding is back on his last winning mark and rates as a big player from a handy draw. However, the vote goes to the less exposed TOBETSO, who has done nothing but improve since joining Declan Carroll and another big run is expected now he is proven over the trip. Mount King and My Honey B complete the shortlist.

Having made a solid start for Declan Carroll, there's a good chance TOBETSO will be suited by this stiffer track given how he shaped when fourth at Ayr 18 days ago and he could just be worth chancing to come out on top from a handy draw. Create is less exposed than most and she's feared on turf/handicap debut, with prolific-winner Eastern Charm another to consider in a wide-open affair.

The progressive EASTERN CHARM is taken to bounce back to form after a lesser run last time by beating Indiana Be and Tobetso.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

SHINJI was placed in a Listed bumper at Newbury on his second start before finding the Grade 2 event at Aintree too hot to handle. Connections have acquired the services of Brian Hughes in the saddle and the four-year-old has been found a fine starting point for his hurdling career. Schmilsson had looked promising on the level before his form tailed off, but a change of code might rekindle the enthusiasm. Kenzai Warrior and Shetland Tony are others capable of being in the mix.

The market should reveal plenty here but Olly Murphy has his string in excellent nick so his SCHMILSSON, a fairly useful Flat winner for Andrew Balding, is taken to defy a long absence and go in at the first time of asking in this sphere. Shinji brings fairly useful bumper form to the table and is greatly respected on his hurdles bow, while the ex-Irish pair Dixie Flyer and Shetland Tony have the form to play a part too if at their best on their respective debuts for new handlers.

Preference is for Sean Curran's new recruit DIXIE FLYER, in the hope he can replicate his fair Irish form. Shinji is feared most.

Blinkers have squeezed some extra improvement out of CABINET OF CLOWNS lately and the four-year-old is fancied to build on his close-up second at Southwell. Repertoire has dropped to his last winning mark and merits respect on the return to class 4 company. David Simcock's gelding may give the selection most to do, ahead of Dream Of Mischief, who won over C&D in July off a 2lb lower rating.

A few with chances but DREAM OF MISCHIEF scored over C&D in July and signalled he's ready to go in again when a promising Lingfield third last time out. Three-time 2023 scorer Azahara Palace appeals as the one to give Amanda Perrett's 3-y-o most to do, although in-form duo Cabinet of Clowns and King of Scotia warrant plenty of respect too.

HEDONISTA gained a second success of the season when appearing to win with something in hand at Kempton last month and Ed Walker's filly could shrug off a 4lb rise on the switch to turf. Fellow three-year-old Dragonball Prince has posted some creditable efforts in defeat of late and could give the selection most to think about, ahead of the veteran Black Kalanisi, who has dropped to an attractive mark.

COLD HENRY quickly got back on track despite finding the test inadequate when fifth at Nottingham (14f) on his latest outing 2 weeks ago and, back at this more suitable trip, he shades the vote to come out on top. Kempton-scorer Hedonista and Dragonball Prince head up the dangers, with Spritzin' another worth keeping an eye on.

Famoso was a bit disappointing at Warwick when attempting to supplement his determined win over 2m1f here. He could bounce back but a chance is taken on the fitness of TIME TO BITE, who has achieved a spot on the podium on all four starts since joining Chris Honour. Cheekpieces could help Bari Breeze put a Worcester no-show behind him, with Testflight and Claras Soldier worth a look on their first crack at the bigger obstacles.

A low-grade event that can see TIME TO BITE make a successful return. He was second in this last year and has shown more than enough to take a race like this with a decent round of jumping. Famoso is a winner already over these fences and could figure back here if he stays. An improved showing from Bari Breeze fitted with cheekpieces for his in-form yard wouldn't be a total surprise.

After running well in a big-field handicap hurdle in May, IDEALLKO is taken to make a winning chase debut.

15:50 Windsor Maiden (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

SILVRETTA sets a strong standard on her comeback second at Kempton, having given the classy Sumo Sam a fright last year, and this looks a suitable opportunity for the daughter of Invincible Spirit to shed her maiden tag. Midream is the only conceivable threat of those who have raced and shouldn't be far away if building on her debut second at Kempton. Invincible Pass and Advantage are two interesting newcomers and any market support is worth noting.

SILVRETTA was just touched off by dual subsequent Group 2 winner Sumo Sam on the second of her two starts as a 2-y-o, and she shaped well dropped to this trip on her belated seasonal reappearance at Kempton 3 weeks ago. She is bred to be useful and is presented with a golden opportunity to open her account here. Midream's recent debut at Thirsk was encouraging and she gets the nod ahead of newcomers Invincible Pass and Advantage (in that order of preference) for forecast purposes.

16:00 Pontefract Handicap (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Dual winner POWERFUL RESPONSE has displayed enough promise of late to suggest that he can land another contest before the season ends, with first-time cheekpieces likely to eke out some extra improvement. Cosmos Raj posted one of his better performances when just touched off at Ayr and also merits consideration off only 2lb higher. Loddon and Golden Melody are a couple of others to note in an open event.

Plenty to consider in this big-field handicap, with EY UP ITS THE BOSS getting the vote after an eye-catching effort at Newmarket. He was keeping on all the time there and would've made the frame at least with a clear passage. Down 2 lb/in grade, he could be set for a big run. Romilda and Operation Gimcrack are a couple of unexposed 3-y-os who make plenty of appeal now handicapping. Hiromichi and Cosmos Raj also make the shortlist.

This can go to ROMILDA who is taken to make a successful handicap debut. Her latest effort is working out well.

16:10 Stratford Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 19f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Myristica was well placed to record a hat-trick in novice company and has held his own off this mark since going handicapping. He has to give so much weight to HOURLESS, though, and Alan King's juvenile has taken well to jumping, winning at Hexham before finding only a subsequent dual winner too strong at Newton Abbot. He has performed with credit on the level since. Jack Sprat has got a handy initial rating that he could capitalise on, with similar sentiments applying to Bizzy Moon.

HOURLESS looks feasibly treated now making a quick switch to handicaps in this sphere and can strike for Alan King. Myristica has enjoyed a cracking spell since switching to hurdles and is second choice. Jack Sprat and Bizzy Moon are other potential improvers now moving into handicap company for good stables.

Alan King's 3yo HOURLESS (nap) has made a good start to his hurdling career and could be on a good mark for this handicap debut.

16:20 Windsor Handicap (Class 5) 11f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

WESTERN STARS came good at the third time of asking for current connections when triumphing at Haydock. A 2lb rise looks more than manageable for the four-year-old and a quick double could be in the offing. Stage Show may have gone for home too soon when weakening into third at Kempton and is a viable alternative now reverting to turf, while last month's C&D winner Mrembo cannot be ruled out either.

It wasn't a particularly strong race that WESTERN STARS landed at Haydock recently, but he remains on a competitive mark up just 2 lb and is taken to strike again. Though still a maiden following nine attempts, Stage Show has shown enough to suggest that he has a race in him off this sort of mark and he is feared most. Decisive Call took a step forward at Brighton and is also accorded respect, along with C&D winner Greased Lightning.

16:25 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 5) 10f Race Class Flow

UNCLE DICK has won three of his last four starts and is a solid candidate to expand on the profitable run. A previous course winner, switching to synthetics holds no fears and with Jack Nicholls taking over from Georgina Dobie in the saddle, and able to claim 5lb, he runs off a highly competitive mark. Previous C&D winner Marmara Star is feared most, with Strawberry Jack and Dark Company also considered.

LUNANERA has been freshened up since a lesser run at Thirsk early last month and is taken to resume his progression and strike under Brodie Hampson. Uncle Dick has been prolific at Brighton recently and rates an obvious threat along with unexposed George Boughey runner Marmara Star.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

SAFETY CATCH found plenty of improvement for the step up in trip when runner-up over 1m2f at Leicester a fortnight ago and the extra two furlongs here may be enough for William Haggas' filly to gain a breakthrough success. Lord Melbourne likely has more to offer having posted a respectable third-placed finish on his debut at Salisbury. The son of Wootton Bassett may emerge as the chief threat, although Lope De Light shouldn't be far behind.

LORD MELBOURNE produced a promising debut effort despite displaying signs of greenness when third in a Salisbury novice (9.9f) 24 days ago and he shades the vote to build on that now stepping up in trip. Safety Catch, a good second at Leicester on her reappearance 2 weeks ago, and Lope de Light head up the dangers, in that order.

The Crisfords' LORD MELBOURNE, who was green on debut but performed encouragingly, just gets the vote over Safety Catch.

3-7 during first season over fences, with all the wins gained at Plumpton; back from break.
LTO Selection:

16:45 Stratford Handicap Chase (Class 4) 23f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Jigginstown King signed off his first campaign under Rules with a Fakenham/Fontwell double and has undergone wind surgery during his summer break. Sublime Heights is a bit of a Plumpton specialist but still warrants attention, while Steel Wave has an edge in match practice after winning over C&D for the fourth time. ALLO ALLO has the more scope for improvement, though, and after breaking his chasing duck at Bangor in April, Stuart Edmunds' gelding can pick up where he left off.

Easily the most appealing of these is ALLO ALLO, who possesses the potential to develop into a useful chaser judged on what he showed in 3 starts in this sphere last term. The 7-y-o did the job well when opening his account over fences at Bangor in April, for which a 6 lb rise is fair. The hat-trick seeking Jigginstown King is likely to emerge as the main threat given that Sublime Heights, though talented, now looks a shade too high in the weights and hasn't won away from Plumpton under Rules.

There might still be more improvement to come from ALLO ALLO, who ended last season with a convincing win at Bangor.

GEELONG has been in consistent form of late and dropping back in trip can see him at his best, having gone well for a long way over further at Newcastle last month. The four-year-old remains on a workable mark and he gets the vote ahead of C&D winner Major Major and Arenas Del Tiempo, who has strong claims on her penultimate effort at Epsom. Others to note include Between The Covers, Change Of Fortune and Showy.

A tight-knit handicap but GEELONG arrives at the top of his game so edges the vote off a still handy-looking mark following his good Newcastle second. In-form pair On The Right Track and Change of Fortune bring solid credentials to the table too and can chase home Paul & Oliver Cole's 4-y-o in that oder. Major Major completes the shortlist.

17:00 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 5) 10f Race Class Flow

PRINCE ALI has held his form and fully deserved last month's course success in an apprentice handicap. Zoe Lewis being back in the saddle more than offsets the 3lb higher mark and, assuming stepping back up in trip doesn't raise any issues, further success is likely. Luna Magic is another with a live chance based on her peak efforts, while the hat-tick seeking City Escape is a previous C&D winner who cannot be ignored on these terms.

CITY ESCAPE faces a different test than she's encountered when ploughing through the mud to win twice at Ffos Las recently but she's equally as effective at this place and a further 3 lb rise may not prevent her completing a hat-trick. Last month's course scorer Prince Ali is feared most ahead of Luna Magic.

LTO Selection:

17:05 Pontefract Handicap (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

The key to this looks to be the recent clash over C&D between Havana Pursuit (first) and DERWENT BOY (second), with the latter taken to come out on top this time around. The son of Harry Angel has been raised 2lb, but he looks primed to break the maiden at the seventh time of asking. Tellus has dropped down to 1lb below her last winning mark and must enter calculations, along with Beauty Choice.

ONEMORENOMORE relished the drop to sprinting when opening his account at Doncaster (5.6f) 3 weeks ago and, with the slightly longer trip here entitled to suit on that evidence, he gets the narrow vote to follow up with Tom Marquand an eye-catching booking. Beauty Choice is lurking on a handy mark and feared, with Derwent Boy and Havana Pursuit just another couple to consider.

The well-drawn RUSSCO is on a very handy mark, won't mind the conditions and is a sporting suggestion in a first-time hood.

17:15 Stratford NH Flat Race (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Moon Chime is the obvious starting point after winning at the first time of asking at Worcester in May. He has switched stables since, while Bahio Boum will have given the Skeltons encouragement with his debut third. Pottersjetamay and Cloughroe have also shown enough to warrant an interest, but a chance is still taken on the newcomer WILFUL. Jonjo O'Neill's four-year-old is related to winners and cost 105,000 euros last year.

An interesting bumper to conclude. MOON CHIME ran to quite a useful level when successful on his debut in the spring and might be up to defying a penalty with improvement on the cards. Bahio Boum is respected on the back of a promising first run, while Boy From Brazil, Wilful and Yalla Habibi are bumper newcomers from stables with good records in these events.

Irish point third YALLA HABIBI is selected to enhance Milton Harris' excellent bumper record.

17:22 Windsor Handicap (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

PHOENIX GLOW wasn't beaten far at Bath last month and the small step back up in trip looks a good move as she aims to make it two wins from her last four starts. The form of her stable is another plus and she is preferred to the hat-trick-seeking On Edge, as well as Lahina Bay, who did it well at Salisbury last time out. Corinthia Knight and Sparked are capable of being in the shake-up also.

The vote goes to BIG BARD, who was just touched off in this race last year and the first of his three wins this season was gained over C&D in April (sole previous occasion that he has been partnered by Alec Voikhansky). The 5-y-o wasn't seen to best effect at Bath when last seen in August, so shouldn't be judged too harshly on that display. Porterinthejungle can also be forgiven for a below par effort last time and she is next on the list ahead of Corinthia Knight and hat-trick seeker On Edge.

17:30 Wolverhampton Stakes (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

EDGE OF BLUE impressed with his attitude when he made a winning debut over C&D last month and looks progressive enough to cope with a penalty at this early stage of his career. A half-brother to French Group 3 winner Devant, he can use this as a stepping stone towards better things. All Is Fair is open to improvement now he has been gelded, while Firing Squad could also be a different proposition with a visor now tried.

Not a novice that will take much winning and it's easy to see EDGE OF BLUE making it 2-2 for Charlie Appleby with the prospect of improvement on the cards. There is probably more to come from Firing Squad also and he's feared most in a first-time visor.

This looks a good chance for EDGE OF BLUE to defy a penalty and follow up his Yarmouth win. True Blue Gent is second choice.

LTO Selection:

17:40 Pontefract Handicap (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

This can go the way of SIR MAXI, who ran a highly creditable race for fourth in the Ayr Bronze Cup and should appreciate a return to this track, having won on two of his four starts here. Richard Fahey's charge is preferred to Ghathanfar and Heartrate, who arrives on a hat-trick as he makes just his second start for new connections. Catch Cunningham and Thornaby Pearl can also have a say in proceedings.

THORNABY PEARL has slipped in the weights and could be worth backing under Mia Nicholls. Heartrate has every chance in his hat-trick bid, while very well-handicapped C&D-winner Ghathanfar is also of firm interest down in class.

With this stiffer track likely to suit, HEARTRATE (nap) can follow up last month's emphatic Ffos Las win.

18:00 Wolverhampton Maiden (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

CERVARO DELLA SALA showed plenty of promise on her debut at Kempton when going down fighting, and with normal improvement expected, she can go one better with William Buick taking over in the saddle. Similar comments apply to Imola, who also ran well at Kempton, behind a winner who has gone in again since. Emu War and Tiger Tulip are entitled to be thereabouts, while Keep My Secret looks the pick of the newcomers.

CERVARO DELLA SALA made a promising start at Kempton and could be hard to beat if improving with William Buick now up. Imola, an encouraging third at the same track first time up, is a big player, while Emu War could have a race in her also.

Imola is entitled to improve, but preference is for CERVARO DELLA SALA, who finished a pleasing second at Kempton 12 days ago.

18:30 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 14f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

MELLOW MOOD has been a model of consistency this season and recent efforts here and at Lingfield suggest that a maiden victory may be just around the corner. Today may be that day with Shariq Mohd taking off a valuable 7lb, and she is narrowly preferred to unexposed handicap debutant King Of The Pride and Peripeteia, a C&D winner who has dropped down to a very handy mark.

PERIPETEIA is now on a lower mark than when scoring twice here last autumn so might be worth chancing now back here for the first time this year. A market move for James Ferguson handicap newcomer King of The Pride would make him a potential big threat. The reliable Mellow Mood also makes the shortlist.

19:00 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 4) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

GENESIUS returned from a short break to run an excellent race when second at Newcastle last time out, and this looks like an ideal opportunity to gain a fifth career victory. That may be at the main expense of the relatively consistent Fulfilled and Study The Stars, who is looking to make it three wins in his last four starts.

GENESIUS split a couple of 3-y-os when second at Newcastle recently and may be able to go one better off the same mark. Chase The Dollar hasn't finished out of the first 2 in his last 5 AW starts and is feared most ahead of George Baker's Study The Stars.

LTO Selection:

19:30 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 5) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

TALLULAH MYLA capitalised on a declining mark when landing the spoils over C&D last time out and won with enough in hand to suggest that she can overcome a 4lb rise in the ratings. Cluedo is another to consider on the pick of her efforts and Henry Candy's filly merits respect now dropped into class 5 company. Track-and-trip winner The Defiant may also have a say now returned to this venue.

TALLULAH MYLA landed a gamble in good style over C&D last month and looks good for the follow up after a 4 lb rise. Old-rival Cinque Verde could be a danger back on AW, while Cluedo is a player back in calmer waters.

20:00 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

With solid recent form thin on the ground, this looks a suitable opportunity for BERNIE THE BEAR to record a second success in his last three appearances. The Elzaam gelding arrives in good heart and is hard to oppose. Fayasel finished a respectable fourth at Chelmsford on Thursday and shouldn't be far away with a similar performance. Another Dimension is a potential improver with first-time blinkers applied and completes the shortlist.

COLOANE has some solid efforts on the AW to her name and could finally open her account here. Bernie The Bear and Fayasel are a couple of the dangers.

LTO Selection:

20:30 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

MUTANAASEQ has been rolling back the years on turf of late and although the eight-year-old will need to put a below-par effort at Thirsk behind him, he makes plenty of appeal on his return to the all-weather off a lower mark. Liberty Breeze has posted several creditable efforts in defeat in recent appearances and the mare should be in the mix once more, with similar sentiments applicable for Major Gatsby.

MUTANAASEQ didn't enjoy the rub of the green when ninth at Thirsk last time and is fancied to bounce back in style and bag a fifth success of 2023. Three-time C&D winner Major Gatsby is feared most, although Crystal Dawn and Liberty Breeze need factoring into this open-looking handicap too.

Currently 3-4 over C&D, MAJOR GATSBY gets the nod on his return to Tapeta. Crystal Dawn goes well in the autumn and is next best.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
