13:50 Hereford Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

PARADE AWAY had shown a decent level of form in bumpers prior to winning one at Stratford in May and the Jet Away gelding looks to have been found a good opportunity now sent over timber. Titan Discovery, who has filled the runner-up berth on both of his starts, might be the main danger. Meranti should not be underestimated but he needs to improve.

PARADE AWAY progressed nicely in bumpers during the spring, winning at Stratford, and he's been found a really good opportunity switched to timber. Titan Discovery wasn't far off the selection's ability in that sphere and is the obvious threat.

Titan Discovery should make a race of this but PARADE AWAY created a pretty good impression when winning a bumper in May.

LTO Selection:

13:55 Gowran Park Handicap 7f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Having run his two best races to date on ground with a significant ease, ROMFORD could be set to open his account. The Kieran Cotter-trained gelding needs to prove his stamina at this trip but being out of a mare that was placed over ten furlongs, he should have every chance of doing so. Thia shaped with a degree of promise in maidens earlier in the year and while he hasn't improved since making the switch to handicaps, this doesn't look the strongest of contests. The Jim Bolger-trained son of Vocalised has to have solid claims. Rogerwaswrong has gradually improved with racing, putting in his best performance when third at Bellewstown last month. It would be no great surprise to see the Sean Davis-trained gelding go a couple of places better.

Not a previous winner in the line-up and THIA is given a tentative vote before any market clues. Dont Do Dramas and Maria Land are a couple of potential improvers now handicapping at such a low level.

Some unexposed ones lurk and the market needs checking. As things stand, ROMFORD should go well after a decent latest effort.

LTO Selection:

14:15 Leicester Handicap (Class 5) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

KAMANIKA has been steadily progressive this season and the previous C&D winner, who struck at Sandown last month, is fancied to shrug off a 2lb rise to repeat the dose. Barney's Angel continues in good form and might give the selection most to think about. Wintercrack has been below par recently but the daughter of Cracksman receives a welcome drop in class and should not be written off.

None of these can be ruled out but it's still hard to side against Joseph Parr's thriving filly KAMANIKA who handles the mud really well and is weighted to bag a fourth success of 2023. Barney's Angel is also proven under the conditions and arrives in good order so rates the chief threat, although Hystery Bere shouldn't be underestimated back in this sphere after a chasing success at Warwick.

After a big run in defeat on heavy ground in August, MACHO SUN gets the vote in the hope the first-time cheekpieces aid his cause.

LTO Selection:

14:25 Hereford Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

A difficult race to unpick with little hurdling form in the book, so only a tentative vote can go to SISTER JULIENNE. Her best effort to date came when filling the runner-up spot in a C&D bumper in February and it would be no surprise if Donald McCain's mare, who is related to a French hurdles winner, took a step forward here. Bangor winner Tique must enter calculations, along with Sammy's Guarantee, who was picked up by Tom Lacey having hit the woodwork in an Irish point-to-point 192 days ago.

SAMMY'S GUARANTEE is bred to come into her own over longer trips in due course, but she starts out over hurdles at a decidedly ordinary level, so gets the nod for a stable that has had plenty run well in the last fortnight or so. Tique was making headway when falling 3 out on her Newton Abbot hurdling debut when last seen and has to enter calculations, while On Se Calme wouldn't be without hope if building on a considerate return at Market Rasen.

This can go to Bangor bumper winner TIQUE, who jumped fairly well until an unfortunate mishap on her hurdling debut in June.

LTO Selection:

14:30 Gowran Park Maiden 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

OLD FAITHFUL can record a first career win here having shaped with plenty of promise on his opening three runs. The Aidan O'Brien-trained colt finished third in what was potentially a decent maiden at the Curragh on debut before suffering an odds on reversal at this venue on his second outing. However, he ran into traffic problems on that occasion so it is best ignored. The form of his second in a Listowel Rated Race last time looks very good relative to the opposition he encounters here. Thor's Hammer finished runner-up twice prior to running a big race in the Goff's Million at the Curragh last time. The Johnny Murtagh-trained colt should play a leading role. Man Of Worth is a potentially interesting newcomer who should be monitored closely in the betting.

Aidan O'Brien saddles 3 interesting runners, with THE EUPHRATES arguably the most interesting of the trio given his eye-catching debut under a kind ride. Old Faithful sets the standard, while support for Man of Worth on debut would need respecting.

Aidan O'Brien has a strong hand and, while OLD FAITHFUL hasn't been making life easy for himself, he just about has the best form.

LTO Selection:

14:38 Huntingdon Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

An impressive winner when last seen in a bumper at Ludlow in April, NORMAN FLETCHER could be a nice prospect in the making for the Nigel Twiston-Davies team as he makes his hurdles debut. Conditions look to be in his favour and he could have too much for Hexham scorer Eagle Of The Glen, who has a 7lb penalty to overcome. Largy Ray is another to consider on his first run for new connections after winning at Kilbeggan in August.

EAGLE OF THE GLEN saw the form of his Hexham win franked by the third when that one came out and made a successful handicap debut in good style at Kelso recently, so he's taken to defy a penalty at the expense of Norman Fletcher, who struck twice in bumpers last season and seems sure to win his fair share of races over hurdles.

The only runner with the benefit of hurdling experience is EAGLE OF THE GLEN and he beat a decent horse at Hexham.

LTO Selection:

14:50 Leicester Maiden (Class 4) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

425,000gns purchase PRIMO LARA posted a solid fourth on his Yarmouth debut, having been backed into joint-favourtism, and he can put that experience to good use today. He's related to a couple of Group winners and this looks a good opportunity to shed his maiden tag. It would be no surprise to see the Ralph Beckett-trained Loved By You make a race of it on her debut, while Sharona, who has shown little in her two starts, might be one for handicaps after today.

PRIMO LARA attracted plenty of support ahead of his promising debut fourth in a decent maiden at Yarmouth where he put in good late work under a considerate ride. This is no foregone conclusion with appealing newcomer Loved By You in opposition (the market will be informative where that rival is concerned), but the son of New Bay is brimming with potential and should emerge on top. Sharona will need to leave her previous form well behind if she's to trouble Primo Lara.

The newcomer Loved By You certainly looks the part on paper but PRIMO LARA sets a pretty good form standard.

15:00 Hereford Handicap Chase (Class 5) 25f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

MEECHLANDS MAGIC must saddle a penalty having romped home at Worcester last week, but he was out of the handicap that day so actually competes off a 3lb lower mark now and might be a tough nut to crack. Frankie Faulkner has been a model of consistency in recent starts and is unlikely to be far away. Deadly Missile, who finished a good second at Market Rasen, appeals most of the remainder.

This looks likely to go to penalised-winner MEECHLANDS MAGIC, who scored from 10 lb out of the handicap at Worcester and is racing off 3 lb lower here despite his penalty, gets the nod. Frankie Faulkner and Can't Beat History can take minor honours.

The choice is MEECHLANDS MAGIC who showed improved form when winning from 10lb out of the handicap last week.

15:05 Gowran Park Maiden 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

ALPHERATZ can go one better having run a big race on debut when runner-up at Thurles earlier this month. Trainer Joseph Murphy wouldn't be known for producing juvenile debut winners so there is every probability that the Phoenix Of Spain filly will have come forward from that initial outing. Port Fairy, a daughter of Australia who holds a Guineas entry, has to be respected on her racecourse debut. With the majority of those that have already seen the racecourse appearing vulnerable, it would be no surprise to see an unraced filly overtake them. Lively Set made a promising introduction when only beaten a length at Navan and wasn't disgraced when upped in class in a decent Sales Race last time. She is certainly capable of being involved in the finish.

ALPHERATZ produced a promising first effort when runner-up at Thurles and can go one place better with improvement likely. Port Fairy and Strolling are a couple of interesting newcomers so need they keeping an eye on.

Jessica Harrington's FLEUR DE CHINE ran an eyecatching race at Naas and she's bred to handle these testing conditions.

15:13 Huntingdon Handicap Chase (Class 5) 24f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

LARGY NIGHTS may be very light raced for his age, but he certainly has ability and the form of his penultimate second over C&D last December bodes well in this context. Charlie Longsdon's charge has gone well fresh in the past and he is narrowly preferred to Great D'Ange, who had Tedwin Hills (third) less than three lengths behind when scoring at Market Rasen last month. The Wise Traveller hasn't shown much in two starts over fences, but his form over the smaller obstacles entitles him to the utmost respect.

NO ANXIETY was presumably having a pipe-opener back over hurdles after 20 months off at Bangor in August and is potentially very well handicapped if overcoming his jumping problems (now 15 lb below last winning mark). Great d'Ange and Another Mystery both made a positive start for their new yards so are feared most.

A few with chances but HONNEUR DE SIVOLA (nap) has been unfortunate to bump into rivals well ahead of their marks the last twice.

LTO Selection:

15:25 Leicester Stakes (Class 3) 6f Race Class Flow

ADAAY IN DEVON was never involved over 7f in a valuable fillies' series final at Goodwood last time. She sets the standard back at 6f, though, and Rod Millman's filly should prove difficult to beat off level weights. Heritage House pushed an improver all the way on her latest outing and she's likely to give the selection most to think about, while Lordsbridge Flyer can't be dismissed following a good second on debut.

A case can be made for all of the trio but James Fanshawe's C&D scorer HERITAGE HOUSE arrives on the up so is fancied to edge out form-choice Adaay In Devon who has to shrug off a below-par showing at Goodwood. Lordsbridge Flyer can build on her promising debut Haydock second and also have a say in an intriguing conditions event.

James Fanshawe's Dark Angel fill HERITAGE HOUSE arrives on the up so can fend off form pick Adaay In Devon and bag a second win.

15:35 Hereford Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 26f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

CLASSIC CONCORDE has proved a thoroughly likeable performer of late, as seen earlier in the month when making all to land a hat-trick at Bangor, and the veteran is taken to add another victory to his tally off only 3lb higher in the ratings here. Fine By Me merits respect for a stable in red-hot form and the Nigel Twiston-Davies' inmate may emerge as the chief threat to the selection, ahead of Kentford Mallard, who should appreciate the extra distance.

Trappy stuff and it's probably worth sticking with the thriving CLASSIC CONCORDE. He proved very game when scoring at Bangor and could get the 4-timer up in his current mood. Johnny B is interesting on his return, while it's too soon to write off Lady Berlais for Dan Skelton.

The answer might be POTTLERATH, who has a good record at this track and won't mind if the ground is on the quick side of good.

15:40 Gowran Park Handicap 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

YUZU is weighted to turn the tables on Sneddy Eddie here and may appreciate this trip a bit better. The Jessica Harrington-trained filly stuck on well to push her rival to a head at Bellewstown last time on testing ground and it looked then like that winner was reaching the end of his stamina over a slightly shorter trip. The selection is 2lb better off and also has Jamie Powell taking off 3lb this time. Silkies Sib comes here in winning form and has to be respected given the form of his trainer. Wayne Hassett takes a valuable 7lb off his back.

LESIEUX has been knocking on the door lately and might prove the answer to this wide-open handicap for the Ado McGuinness team. Yuzu and Ano Manna arrive on the back of creditable placed efforts and should be in the shake-up. Silkies Sib will also have a part to play if as effective without the hood he wore when successful at Tipperary last time.

Bellewstown runner-up YUZU is tipped to emerge best in a rematch with Lisieux and Sneddy Eddie.

15:48 Huntingdon Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

KAY TARA TARA may have been well beaten when last seen contesting a Grade 2 bumper at Aintree in April, but the fact she was thought good enough to compete at that level says a lot. The daughter of Kayf Tara sets a decent standard on form, and it may be that the more experienced Noonie gives her the most to think about after four starts in this sphere. Strong Belle has the potential to improve for the step up in trip and cannot be ruled out.

Bumper-winner KAY TARA TARA looks the one to be with first time up. She made a successful start last December and promises to be suited by this stiffer test now hurdling. Strong Belle, who also ran well fresh in bumpers, and point-winner Lean On Me should have futures over jumps and make this an interesting maiden despite the numbers.

This looks a good opportunity for KAY TARA TARA to hit the ground running over hurdles.

16:00 Leicester Handicap (Class 6) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

CHRIS'S MATE proved far more competitive when a close-up second on his handicap bow at Yarmouth last month and the Robyn Brisland-trained colt may land these spoils here off only 2lb higher in the ratings. Bellestarr's stamina appeared to be stretched by the 1m2f distance when fourth on the all-weather at Newcastle last time and better is expected from the filly on the return to a mile. Weston Court makes most appeal of the remainder.

Most of these arrive with a question mark against them so this looks an excellent opportunity for CHRIS'S MATE to go one better than his very good Yarmouth second last time out and get off the mark. Tres Chic could prove the main danger to Robyn Brisland's colt on the back of her good Brigthon fourth ahead of Budding Poet and Weston Court.

Not so competitive as the numbers suggest. CHRIS'S MATE looks the way to go on the back of his excellent Yarmouth nursery second.

16:10 Hereford Handicap Chase (Class 5) 21f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

SINISTER MINISTER appreciated the drop from 3m to an extended 2m4f when landing the spoils at Bangor recently. Sheila Lewis' gelding is effectively 2lb lower here with Finn Lambert's 5lb claim negating a 3lb rise in the handicap and he should take all the beating. Fellow last-time-out winner Ben Buie likely has more to come in a retained visor and looks a big threat if seeing out the longer trip, while Hellfire Princess also makes some appeal on her chasing/seasonal debut.

The one who appeals most is FAMILY POT, who made a winning reappearance last season on the back of a similar period of absence and is just 2 lb above the mark off which he gained the second of his two victories here in February. Sir Jack West should be spot-on following a couple of spins over hurdles and he is feared most ahead of recent Bangor scorer Sinister Minister.

Preference is for dual course winner FAMILY POT, who signed off with a good run over C&D in April and won when fresh a year ago.

16:15 Gowran Park Handicap 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Wesley Joyce has been riding really well since his return and can bag another winner here on MANHATTAN DANDY. The six-year-old has hit form lately and won really well in testing conditions at Bellewstown last time. A 6lb rise for that convincing victory doesn't look harsh. In-form trainer Tim Doyle saddles Pink Socks, who was narrowly denied on her last visit here, and she looks a danger. What Adaay is another who comes here in fine form. She bumped into one, in Wrist Art, last time and looks on a competitive mark.

Lots with chances but MANHATTAN DANDY arrives on the up so is fancied to defy a 6 lb rise and follow up his recent Bellewstown success. Both Starting Monday and Fastman arrive on handy-looking marks so could emerge as the chief threats to Thomas Coyle's 6-y-o. What Adaay completes the shortlist.

A good few with chances. STARTING MONDAY won't be far away if getting the breaks, which wasn't the case last time.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Oh So Grand was narrowly denied by a well-handicapped rival at Epsom last time and must be respected, but a chance is taken on BOLDLY. The son of Galileo, who showed signs of ability across his qualifying runs, ought to prove better than an opening mark of 74 and it would come as no surprise to see one from this yard make an immediate impact now switched to handicaps. Others to note include Savrola and Tabuk.

It could be worth chancing VICTORY, who hasn't been at his best in recent starts but would have a serious chance if reproducing the form of his effort here in July. Whitefeathersfall will also be a big player if the addition of a visor works the oracle and he is second choice ahead of Oh So Grand, who went close at Epsom last time and still has low mileage.

This looks good for the lightly raced, progressive OH SO GRAND, who showed the right attitude when nabbed close home at Epsom latest.

Boom Boom was too bad to be true when pulling up on his handicap debut at Worcester in May and Nicky Henderson's charge may prove more competitive on his chase bow after a 162-day break. However, GOLD LINK makes slightly more appeal given his experience over fences. The seven-year-old has remained in good heart since scoring off 7lb lower at Stratford in July and may take some stopping if continuing in the same vein of form. Enemenemynemo could prove dangerous if allowed an easy lead and completes the shortlist.

Perth-scorer Enemenemynemo could emerge as the chief threat after a break, although Nicky Henderson's chasing newcomer Boom Boom could also have a say on his return.

Nicky Henderson's BOOM BOOM might be the answer if he takes to fences, which he should do if his breeding is anything to go by.

16:35 Leicester Seller (Class 4) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Although SPIRIT GENIE failed to land a blow when finishing eighth on his stable debut at Newcastle recently, the three-year-old holds outstanding claims on the ratings now dropped into a selling contest and he is hard to oppose. Georgiava is the biggest threat if judged on the figures and, if seeing out the rise in distance, may emerge as the main challenger, ahead of Khathak, who is likely to prove more competitive on his return to this company.

SPIRIT GENIE offered little on first outing since leaving Mrs J. Harrington (sold 8,000 gns) after 5 months off at Newcastle but he's the form pick here down in class so is worth another chance. Georgiava is also favoured by these weights so is the obvious threat ahead of the temperamental Khathak.

Fairly useful ex-Irish winner SPIRIT GENIE holds the edge on form and should build on his debut 8th for Jennie Candlish.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

HAPPY INDEX threw away her chance when hitting the last at Fontwell over further in May, though compensation may await the daughter of Blue Bresil on this occasion. The drop in trip should suit and this unexposed five-year-old may have too much for the consistent Come On Du Berlais and Never No Trouble, who has been placed on six of her last seven starts.

OCEAN REACH was effectively third off a stone higher last time and might be worth a chance to show that doesn't flatter her. The consistent Never No Trouble is second choice ahead of Happy Index.

After running a big race in defeat at Bangor six weeks ago, NEVER NO TROUBLE (nap) returns to the scene of her maiden win in February.

LTO Selection:

16:50 Gowran Park Maiden 10f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

RANDALL POETS LASS made a promising seasonal debut at Navan in early September and progressed from that to finish runner-up in another mile maiden at Listowel. Nearest at the finish on that occasion, she seems sure to be suited by this longer trip and is proven on testing ground. Feathertop was third to a subsequent Group 3 winner over C&D before finishing runner-up at Cork. She didn't see out her race at the Curragh last time but is rated 2lb higher than the selection. Vera's Secret almost made a winning debut over this trip at Punchestown and 6f was too sharp a trip for her at the Curragh. Royal Cloud, fitted with a tongue-tie, was fourth on testing ground at Killarney and is entitled to improve from that debut while Catwalk Couture, who ran with promise on her sole juvenile outing, looked ring-rusty when reappearing at Bellewstown and should be sharper here.

RANDALL POETS LASS continued the theme of race-by-race progress when second at Listowel a month ago and she's the one to beat. Vera's Secret was disappointing last time but is a definite threat on her debut effort, with Feathertop another to consider.

Slight preference is for RANDALL POETS LASS, who should be suited by this longer trip on the evidence of two staying-on runs over 1m

16:55 Newcastle Handicap (Class 2) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

It might be telling that Godolphin have opted to keep MILITARY MARCH, who has not been sighted on a racecourse since finishing down the field in a Group 2 at Meydan in January 2021, in training. The market may prove the best guide to his chances today, but the talented son of New Approach could be worth chancing from a lofty weight. Wynter Wildes merits consideration from the opposite end of the handicap, while Capital Theory, Haunted Dream and Sir Chauvelin are just a few others to note.

It could be significant that connections are persevering with MILITARY MARCH, who looked so promising earlier in his career and while plenty needs to be taken on trust following such a lengthy spell on the sidelines (and tackling a new surface/trip), he would be thrown in off this mark on his handicap debut if anywhere near his best. Haunted Dream and Wootton'Sun have both performed admirably well in strong handicaps this season and rate the main dangers. Capital Theory completes the shortlist.

The vote goes to OMNISCIENT, who hasn't had much luck since a solid comeback. 2020 2,000 Guineas fourth Military March is a threat.

17:00 Huntingdon Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

ENTHUSED escapes a penalty for landing a conditional jockeys' event at Ludlow on Wednesday and the gelded son of Zoffany is fancied to land a quick-fire double off the same rating here. Parc D'amour likely has races in him off his current rating and merits respect for the in-form Kim Bailey yard. The six-year-old may give the selection most to think about, ahead of John Betjeman, who finished a respectable fifth on the Flat at Bath last month.

An interesting race for the field size with ENTHUSED the percentage call given he escapes a penalty for last week's conditionals event win at Ludlow. Parc d'Amour should be on the premises on return, with Appreciate one to monitor in the market starting out for a new yard.

Kim Bailey's PARC D'AMOUR returns from a break with his yard having winners and this 6yo is open to improvement.

LTO Selection:

17:10 Leicester Handicap (Class 3) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

An eye-catcher when not getting a clear run two furlongs out before running on late for fourth at York last month, LOWTON could be primed to return to winning ways on this occasion. The return to softer ground is a plus and he can get the better of Soar Above, who has become well-handicapped of late but is winless since April 2022. Able Kane and the unexposed Legend Of Leros are capable of being in the shake-up as well.

LOWTON shaped well in a big-field York handicap last month and looks good for a second C&D success of the year on the back of that. If first-time headgear has a positive effect Marshal Dan, who goes very well in the mud, could be the one to give the selection most to think about.

C&D winner LOWTON (nap) comes here on the back of an excellent York fourth and handles soft ground really well so he gets the vote.

17:20 Hereford Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 22f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

A taking winner on both his first run for new connections and after wind surgery at Stratford last week, TOP CLOUD must hold every chance of following up on what is just his seventh career outing. He was racing from 4lb out of the handicap that day and, as he escapes a penalty for landing that conditional jockeys' race, he is actually 4lb lower today now back off his true mark. Samatian may not have been in action since January but he was consistent throughout last season and has won fresh before, while Ranco also has the form to get involved in proceedings. Others to note include Archie Macdart, Inspector Lynley and Robeam.

TOP CLOUD took a big step forward on his first run for Robbie Llewellyn when going in at Stratford and is weighted to follow up off a 4 lb lower mark here. Samatian has won off a break so is next on the list on his seasonal return ahead of the lightly raced Nickelforce.

It's very hard to see beyond TOP CLOUD, who is effectively 4lb lower than when winning in good style on his recent stable debut.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

TIMELESS PIECE handled heavy ground well when winning at Killarney last month with Rioja Alta back in third. The selection, who was a course winner earlier in the season, has been given a 5lb hike for that latest success but as a lightly-raced three-year-old could have more to offer. Rioja Alta was making his handicap debut at Killarney and is entitled to be better for the experience. No Hassle failed in her hat-trick bid when fourth at Down Royal but it was still a creditable run as was shown by the handicapper tacking on another 3lb to her mark. Her wins came on good ground but she has decent form on a soft surface. John O'Donoghue's horses are finishing the turf season in good form and Nomenclature, beaten little more than a length when fourth in a Listowel maiden, merits respect on handicap debut.

The vote goes to BIG ISLAND, who has been given a chance by the handicapper, now 5 lb below the mark off which he was third of 16 at Limerick on his latest start in this sphere in April. He has finished runner-up twice over hurdles since, including last time at Kilbeggan, and conditions won't be a problem for this 6-y-o (has won on soft/heavy). Though below par on their latest starts, Oriole and Pale Moonlight could both take a hand in the finish if on-song.

But for meeting interference, RIOJA ALTA (nap) would have finished closer to Timeless Piece at Killarney. He can reverse the form.

FLICKERING FLAME shaped with significant promise on her debut three weeks ago, finishing third, and natural improvement might be enough to see James Tates' filly strike at the second time of asking. Ciara Pearl merits respect, but the penalty incurred for her recent success will make things tougher. Storm And Conquest makes more than enough appeal on paper to warrant a market check ahead of his first start.

The Crisford stable has a very healthy strike-rate here so it might be worth chancing well-bred newcomer STORM AND CONQUEST, with confidence increased should the betting vibes be strong. Fellow Newmarket raiders Rogue Warrior and Flickering Flame may give him most to do.

It could pay to take a chance on the newcomer STORM AND CONQUEST, with whom his top connections have persevered.

17:35 Huntingdon Handicap Chase (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Last month's Hexham winner Finalshot only went up 4lb for that success and the veteran should give another good account of himself. Magic Mike was behind in third that day and franked the form when subsequently triumphing at Southwell. The pair, however, are taking on with GREAT SAMOURAI. The selection is making his chase/handicap debut off what looks a fair mark and the six-year-old may take this en route to better things for the Dan Skelton team.

Although MAGIC MIKE was behind Finalshot at Hexham that was Paul Robson's charge's first attempt over fences and he improved on that when scoring at Southwell since so he might be able to turn the tables on his old rival this afternoon. A market move for Dan Skelton chase newcomer Great Samourai on his reappearance would make him a potential big threat to that pair.

Some respected chase debutants make this a dangerous betting heat but MASTER MALACHY could be the answer after wind surgery.

A couple of these are arriving off long absences and it could pay to side with the race-fit KING OF FURY, who has run very creditably on both starts to date, over this C&D and then at Kempton last week. The form of those contests may not be up to much, but he showed enough to suggest that he can get off the mark in this company. That may be at the main expense of Royal Jet and Cervetto, who has not run since this time last year and makes his first start for the William Jarvis stable.

KING OF FURY sets a clear standard so can open his account at the third attempt. Royal Jet hinted at ability in a decent Ascot novice last season so may emerge as the biggest threat on his belated return.

The one with by far the least to prove is KING OF FURY, who made a pleasing debut when third over C&D on slow ground in August.

18:00 Newcastle Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

SUPREME TENACITY has posted some creditable efforts in defeat beyond a mile of late and the Invincible Army gelding appears to have been found a suitable opportunity, on the drop to 7f, to gain a breakthrough success. Socialise should appreciate a return to this trip having been outpaced when fourth at this venue over 6f recently and warrants consideration, along with Goldmine Girl, who arrives in better form than most.

In a race where solid form is thin on the ground the vote goes to SUPREME TENACITY, who has been placed in similar company in recent weeks, including on AW. Goldmine Girl is another who has shown she can be competitive from her mark and the drop back to 7f may help her. Northern Cracksman is bred to be a bit better than a basement mark and is one to keep an eye on in the betting back from wind surgery.

An ultra-weak nursery can go to SUPREME TENACITY, who's improved for cheekpieces going on. Goldmine Girl rates the main danger.

LTO Selection:

18:30 Newcastle Handicap (Class 6) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

MR HEINZ relished the sharper test when appearing to win with something in hand over C&D earlier in the month and the four-year-old should take all the stopping off only 4lb higher in the ratings. Pop Favorite also won over this track and trip in October and the gelded son of Fastnet Rock should give another good account of himself. In-form duo Royal Prospect and Bold Territories shouldn't be far away in their current vein of form either.

BOLD TERRITORIES shaped as though his turn is near when third over this C&D 3 weeks ago, coming from much further back than the two that beat him, and he looks the way to go off a 1 lb lower mark. Next on the list is Pop Favorite, who enhanced his good record at this track when getting the better of the re-opposing Royal Prospect recently. The latter is likely to be in the thick of things once again, too, while Mr Heinz, also a C&D winner recently, is another to consider.

Three-time course winner ROYAL PROSPECT is taken to turn things round with Pop Favorite in a race that could be run to suit.

LTO Selection:

19:00 Newcastle Handicap (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Goldsmith has displayed enough promise on his last few outings to suggest that another victory shouldn't be far away, but Alice Haynes' inmate may have to play second fiddle to the progressive PORT ERIN. The three-year-old posted a career-best performance when landing the spoils at Kempton on Wednesday and he won with enough authority on that occasion to suggest that he can defy a combined 7lb higher rating in this event. C&D winner Southwold may fare best of the remaining protagonists.

KING TRITON went off too hard at York last time so is worth another chance to build on his previous efforts off a tempting mark. Goldsmith and Port Erin head the dangers.

It's hard to take on PORT ERIN (nap), who's done nothing but improve in recent times. Irish Flame is another with claims.

LTO Selection:

19:30 Newcastle Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

A comfortable winner over C&D last time out, ELETTARIA has been in excellent form of late and he is taken to follow up off a mere 3lb higher mark. The daughter of Mehmas gets the vote ahead of the capable Cosa Sara and Clotherholme, who ran well to finish third over C&D last time out and is 7lb below his last winning rating.

SEE MY BABY JIVE ran well on a rare go over 7f here 3 weeks ago and could be worth chancing in the hope she gets a decent pace to aim at, a comment which also applies to Elettaria, who scored readily at the same meeting. Clotherholme is another to consider.

She'll need a solid gallop to chase but ELETTARIA seems more likely to give her running than most of these.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

BENEFICIARY didn't get the clearest of runs at Musselburgh before staying on late to finish fifth and it may be that stepping back up in trip can eke out some improvement. The booking of Daniel Tudhope catches the eye and he is narrowly preferred to Deputise, who should appreciate a return to the all-weather, having won at Southwell in August. Doon The Glen ran a decent race over C&D last time out and must enter calculations, along with Eyes and Jazzagal.

BENEFICIARY wasn't seen to best effect once more at Musselburgh last time and looks on the way back from a tumbling mark. He's got some good runs here to his name and can resume winning ways. Fircombe Hall is a 3-time C&D winner now 4 lb below his last successful mark and could be dangerous. Eyes is another to consider.

20:30 Newcastle Handicap (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

A determined winner over C&D on his penultimate start, BLACKCURRENT may not have been suited by dropping back to the minimum trip subsequently but he still ran with plenty of credit in second. The seven-year-old can make it two wins from his last three starts tonight, with Aclaim To Fame looking best placed to chase him home following a strong effort on his first run for new connections at Catterick. Guest List and Wrenegade Lad are entitled to be thereabouts as well.

BLACKCURRENT has compiled a very good record at Newcastle so makes plenty of appeal in his quest for a seventh course win. Aclaim To Fame made a sound start for Mark Walford at Catterick a fortnight ago and she's feared most.
