Fair 128-rated hurdler for Nicky Henderson, tongue-tie fitted for Irish/ chasing debut.
LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content, hiden content

PURE STEEL was well held in third on his chase bow at Naas, but it was still a good effort considering he went off at 33/1 and, entitled to have improved for the run, the five-year-old will be wiser and might take a bit of beating. He's a point-to-point/hurdles winner and is taken to get the better of Its Bilbo, who finished fourth at Navan but doesn't face anything of Kopek Des Bordes' quality in here. Of the others, keep an eye on Harvard Guy and Anotherway.

With the help of an age allowance, course maiden hurdle winenr ITS BILBO gets the vote to build a satisfactory chasing debut at Navan

SHE'S NOTJOEKING produced a better effort when third at Ayr latest and might not need much more in order to land a moderate handicap hurdle like this. Ruler Legend isn't without a squeak providing his Southwell fall hasn't left a mark, while those looking for a bit of each-way value should consider Expelliarmus, who could go well if ridden a bit closer to the pace.

This may not take much winning and it could be a good opportunity for SHE'S NOTJOEKING (nap), who ran well at Ayr last month.

KURASSO BLUE makes plenty of appeal. Representing the in-form Gordon Elliott yard, the dual hurdles winner made a chase debut full of promise when second at Thurles on his seasonal bow and can only improve for the experience. Port Joulain was deemed good enough for the Albert Bartlett at Cheltenham in March and, although he was never really involved that day, he's still a nice prospect and is respected on his fencing introduction for leading connections. Ballygunner Castle is noted too.

Willie Mullins has won the last two editions of this race with smart types. BALLYGUNNER CASTLE is the most appealing of his quartet

MISS CARBO found only one too good in both starts over hurdles when trained in France. She looks a promising recruit for her new connections and Sean Bowen's presence further boosts confidence. There was a good word for El Fabiolo's half-brother NO BOUNDARIES on his introduction at Exeter and although he could only manage fourth behind a stable companion who has won again since, there was enough encouragement in the display to warrant him a second chance. Apollon Forlonge made a decent start to his career at the same circuit, but Navarau cost 62,000 euros and David Pipe's newcomer is feared more.

Although he failed favourite backers in his bumper, El Fabiolo's half-brother NO BOUNDARIES shaped with a nice bit of promise.

FILLYOUREYE is taken to build on a solid hurdling debut at Navan behind a useful type of Gordon Elliott's. The son of Leading Light, who scored in a Kilbeggan bumper, doesn't face a rival of that calibre here and compensation appears highly likely. American Jukebox is bred to stay well and would be a threat based on his Leopardstown second in a bumper last December. Others for the shortlist include Hens Tooth and Jackmoon.

No match for an odds-on winner at Fairyhouse on his first run over hurdles FILLYOUREYE can prove equal to this less demanding task

Dan Skelton has won two of the four previous renewals and CHUGGY looks to have strong claims of adding to that tally. The winner of both starts to date over fences, the ease of last month's victory here suggests he can defy a hike in the weights. Norn Iron ended last season with an impressive display over hurdles at Plumpton, while Old Cowboy is another chasing debutant worthy of a second look.

Chuggy is 2-2 over fences but preference is for RODNEY, who was unlucky not to make a winning chase debut last month.

PREMIER was a disappointing even-money favourite when only third on his handicap hurdle debut at Plumpton, but he will improve as he picks up experience and can put the record straight now encountering more testing conditions. Getarose steps outside of maiden company and an initial rating of 97 definitely seems workable. Exactly Right is another going handicapping for the first time off a nice mark, with Gms Prince and Rukaana a couple more to consider.

Thankyouandplease won stylishly yesterday. Value for closer last time and edging down the weights, ST LUKES CHELSEA gets the vote.

WASTHATOK only got as far as the third when attempting to supplement a C&D success on his return to fences at Catterick and can show his appreciation for the switch back to the smaller obstacles. Divilabother has done well since joining Tristan Davidson, although there is a suspicion that the handicapper has him in his grip - a remark that also applies to Dinons. A bigger threat may come in the shape of Baratablet, despite Nicky Richards' five-year-old lacking a recent run.

The very lightly raced BARATABLET could be a 5yo to follow for Nicky Richards and is taken to make a winning return.

DIVA LUNA was a Grade 2 bumper winner and a smart novice hurdler, but she raised her game to a whole new level when slamming William Hill Hurdle heroine Joyeuse on her chasing debut at Bangor. LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content, hiden content

Paddy O'Mahler's jumping let him down at Wetherby when odds-on to confirm the promise of his chasing debut second. There will be plenty who keep the faith but a safer option might be COSMIC BLIZZARD, who only just failed to catch a subsequent winner at Kelso and the reapplication of cheekpieces could help spark that little bit of improvement necessary for him to go one better. Jo Coko hasn't been seen since February but commands attention on his handicap/fencing/stable bow.

Preference is for the promise of lightly raced and unexposed JO COKO, who makes his stable, handicap and chase debut.

This is a real puzzle and the fact that Paul Townend sides with CHARLUS looks significant. The Churchill gelding won on his hurdling debut at Naas last January before finding life a lot tougher in the Triumph Hurdle. He faced some stiff tasks during a subsequent Flat campaign and this looks like a nice spot for him back over timber now. Stablemate Plontier has a similar profile, a smart Flat horse who remains unexposed over hurdles. Jigoro didn't make much impression behind Kopek Des Bordes over fences on his return at Navan. He switches back to timber and sets the standard off his official rating of 133.

Though JIGORO hasn't been at his best on last few starts, including over fences, he is still rated 133 in this sphere and can score.

Marlacoo has been sent off favourite on each of his last seven appearances and has just a victory in an Ayr maiden hurdle for his troubles. He never looked like justifying the support at Cheltenham last month and while he will undoubtedly come good at some point, JACKPOT D'AINAY is preferred. Olly Murphy's six-year-old made the frame in a Carlisle event that has worked out well and is expected to step forward. Confinentic arrives on a hat-trick but hasn't been seen since February.

COSMO RENFRO proved no match for the well-handicapped Happy Dreams at the business end in Limerick three weeks ago after disputing for most the race with that rival. It was still an improved effort on his first outing for Gavin Cromwell, though, and he looks capable of striking off this mark. Milanaway was also placed at the same venue three weeks ago and looks like a potential danger. Teds Corner takes another step up in trip, having finished third at Fairyhouse last time, and is another that has to be considered.

A beaten favourite when beaten 12l at Fairyhouse last time over 2m4f, TEDS CORNER can recoup those losses stepped up in trip today.

PESCATORIUS is difficult to get away from on a hat-trick. He wasn't winning out of turn at Sedgefield a couple of starts ago and was even more impressive when bolting up at Market Rasen. He's got the bit between his teeth at present and can continue to progress. Lazy Sunday could be one for the each-way players, while Malfoy Manor might step up in a first-time tongue-tie.

Veteran mare LAZY SUNDAY gave a good account of herself on last month's seasonal debut and is arguably the one with least to prove.

There was a lot to like about TEA BOY's debut at Hexham back in March. He finished a respectable second to a subsequent winner over hurdles on that occasion and a recent outing at Catterick should have brought Peter Atkinson's charge on a good deal. Last month's Hexham fifth Ronnie Russet is a likely improver, while Thorneylands and L'appel Du Large are newcomers to note.

The standard set by those who have raced isn't a strong one and this could go to debutant THORNEYLANDS for the in-form Nicky Richards.

(12) Tandy's Bridge 7/2, Fair debut when runner-up beaten 1/2l in a 4yo bumper at Killarney only start; new trainer in form; returning from a break; effective at 2m1f, acts on yielding to soft; more to offer.
Close second to a next-time-out winner on debut at Killarney in July; now with new stable.
LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content, hiden content

TANDY'S BRIDGE was beaten just half a length into second on debut in a Killarney bumper and sets the standard on that form. Normal improvement makes Tom Ellis' charge a big player, but the market will be interesting in the finale because newcomers Holeheartedly, Old Clayesmorian and Oykel Bridge all represent top yards. Doncaster third Eternity Rose is another to bear in mind.

A creditable second at Killarney during the summer, TANDY'S BRIDGE is taken to go one better for his new stable.

SQUARE DU ROULE arrives here in good nick and looks the safe play in a trappy handicap hurdle for punters to solve. He was back to form when second at Plumpton and went one better at Exeter last time, and is worth sticking with while he's evidently on good terms with himself. Hardy Buck was impressive when scoring at Exeter last week and heads the list of dangers from Knightsbridge.

The longer trip and booking of James Bowen can help ELUSIVE KNIGHT improve past Exeter scorers Square Du Roule and Hardy Buck.

Spectacular Style romped home at Wolverhampton last time and looks a danger to all. He sports the same colours as the consistent filly Cardinal Point, and she could also have a say in the outcome, but another chance goes the way of CAPTAIN ROBERT. James Fanshawe's charge has gone agonisingly close the last twice and, due to be raised 3lb for his recent narrow defeat at Lingfield, he gets the nod to go one better.

Spectacular Style is greatly respected but the progressive 3yo CAPTAIN ROBERT may have his measure this time.

YORK TOWER is taken to edge what looks a tight contest on paper. Naqada King drops in trip after finishing runner-up over a mile at Kempton on his introduction. That experience could give him the advantage over the other Godolphin runner Quartermaster.

This is a tight call between Naqada King and YORK TOWER who sets a fair standard on his debut second at Yarmouth in October.

Alligator Alley arrives in fine form and may well confirm superiority with Cloud King (second) having beaten the latter at Southwell last time. That pair will likely be thereabouts, but ALMATY STAR could prove the one to side with. Bob Cowell's sprinter was successful off a 5lb higher mark at the start of the year and looks set to resume winning ways on the back of last week's creditable second over C&D.

Robert Cowell may hold the key and CLOUD KING (nap) can build on his latest Southwell second. Almaty Star is feared most.

CHAMPAGNE POWDER came up short back in novice company at Southwell last time when finding a couple too good. Saying that, it wasn't a bad effort and the son of Kodiac will likely be bang there at the finish. Kempton runner-up Rastnet has shown enough to suggest she can have a say in proceedings. She's preferred to Shamacid, who usually finds at least one too good.

A few potential improvers on show but CHAMPAGNE POWDER looks to have been found a good chance to finally break his maiden.

Two Tempting gained revenge on his Southwell conqueror when reversing the placings at Kempton and has been bumped back up to a triple-digit figure. He has never won off a mark this high so perhaps it's worth giving another chance to BLUE RC, who couldn't quite complete the hat-trick but has plenty more to offer. Serengeti had Crown Board a couple of positions behind when going close on his first start for Dylan Cunha, and fellow Irish import Bravais is worth a look too.

Two Tempting was better than ever at Kempton last month but the unexposed BLUE RC could still have his best days ahead of him.

Liv My Life and Valkyrja hit the crossbar on the same day at Wolverhampton and Newcastle respectively, but TONAL is 2lb well-in following an honourable second when on a three-timer at Kempton and is fancied to capitalise.

Rajinoora is greatly respected despite a wide stall and an absence but the in-form TONAL may be the answer in a competitive race.
