Endless Supply

4/9(+71%)
(2) Endless Supply 4/9, Placed on the second of 2 outings in bumpers and improved on her hurdles debut form when second in an Exeter novice (18.5f, soft) 32 days ago, not unduly punished when held late on. Likely to progress further and has obvious claims.
Clear second to a useful mare at Exeter (2m2f) last month; should be hard to beat.

3rd (5) Tilly Toughnut (13/2 +7%)
Tilly Toughnut

13/2(+7%)
(5) Tilly Toughnut 13/2, Won a point bumper on debut back in November 2021 but ran to only a modest level on last month's Uttoxeter hurdling debut. Significantly up in trip.

(1) Bridget Mary 33/1, £75,000 5-y-o, Sholokhov mare. Successful on her sole outing in Irish points in January and shaped as if better for the run when well held in a Ffos Las maiden hurdle on her Rules bow last month, weakening 2 out. Entitled to do better.
Irish point winner; outpaced over 2m4f on hurdle debut; may fare better here.

(4) The Gambler 50/1, Easy winner on last of her three starts in Irish points in April and comfortably off the mark on bumper debut at Market Rasen in June. However, made mistakes when well held on last month's Ludlow hurdle bow. Significantly up in trip.
Won weak, four-runner bumper on rules debut; well beaten on recent hurdle debut.
LTO Selection:

12:00 Uttoxeter Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 22f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

ENDLESS SUPPLY has shown promise in a couple of similar races and, with the step up trip a likely prompt for further improvement, she looks a key player here. Ottoline is also dangerous to rule out, given she is still of low mileage over timber and runs for an in-form yard. Of the others, point-to-point winner Tilly Toughnut is likely to step forward from what was a moderate hurdling debut here last month.

Lightly-raced ENDLESS SUPPLY looks to hold obvious claims judged on his improved second at Exeter a month ago. Tilly Toughnut is quickly upped significantly in trip and looks the one for the forecast.

This is a very good opportunity for ENDLESS SUPPLY, who was placed on her first two hurdling stars.

Not seen since low-key debut in France in 2021 but represents a top stable.
LTO Selection:

12:30 Uttoxeter Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

On the back of a near-miss C&D last month, ITSNOTEASY could be hard to beat if he continues to flourish in the same manner shown since he switched to racing under Rules. Both trip and ground look ideal and another bold effort is expected from the Olly Murphy-trained gelding, especially with Sean Bowen retaining the ride. Intimate is notable on just his second start after wind surgery, while Chindit Warrior is respected on his debut for the Paul Nicholls yard.

This looks like a decent opportunity for ITSNOTEASY to gain compensation for his Uttoxeter near miss. Gris Gris Top is feared most now setting out for new trainer Donald McCain. Chindit Warrior has been off for over 2 years since finishing well held on his debut in France but returns for the Paul Nicholls stable so needs monitoring in the betting.

The most obvious answer is ITSNOTEASY, who went down fighting when second oer C&D on soft ground last month.

(9) Immortal Fame 13/2, Successful 3 times during 2021/22 campaign and built on a good reappearance second at Chepstow in October to get his head back in front at Doncaster (21f, good) last month, edging out Burrows Hall by a neck. Up just 3 lb and fancied to feature once again.
Fine record over this sort of trip as a hurdler, another win at Doncaster on latest outing.

(6) Roger Pol 3/1, Dual bumper winner who built on his Newton Abbot hurdle debut second when going one better over 2m at Fakenham at the start of November. Takes a big jump in trip now making a quick switch to handicaps but he is sure to stay further. Fascinating contender.
Unexposed sort who takes a marked step up in trip for this handicap debut.

(8) Delgany Bobby Blue 20/1, Showed promise on first start in bumpers and has made an encouraging start over hurdles, finishing a staying-on third of 7 in introductory hurdle at Wetherby (16f, heavy) just under 5 weeks ago. Remains capable of better, especially upped in trip for this quick switch to handicaps.
Needs to improve his jumping; plenty of encouragement for this longer trip on h'cap debut.

(3) Fifty Ball 9/1, Returned to form when finding just one too good at Fontwell (3¼m, good to firm) in May and possibly in need of both outings in recent weeks. Mark eases a shade further, but the suspicion is he's likely to find a few too strong.

(4) Rathmacknee 80/1, Bit of a mixed record for Nicky Henderson last season, winning twice but also pulled up on 3 occasions. Showed some ability remains on debut for new yard at Uttoxeter in September but below that level since and makes limited appeal significantly back up in trip.
Has not accomplished enough in his two runs for new yard to be persuasive.

Magic Seven

(2) Magic Seven 3/1, Displayed useful form when making second of 3 starts in bumpers a winning one last term and has made the perfect start over hurdles, landing maiden and novice at Hereford (19.7f, good) in clear-cut style last month. Capable of better still sent handicapping.
Won easily last month over hurdles at Hereford (2m4f, good) in a maiden and novice.

|PU| (1) Fable (25/1 -194%)
Fable

25/1(-194%)
(1) Fable 25/1, Irish point/dual hurdles winner who made it third time lucky over fences in mares' handicap at Bangor (20.3f) in February. Ran poorly both subsequent starts, but she's capable if on a going day reverted to hurdling after 7 months off.
Only two good runs from her six handicaps, the last five of which have been over fences.
LTO Selection:

12:45 Ascot Handicap Hurdle (Class 3) 22f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

It's hard to rule many of these progressive types out, with the hat-trick seeking MAGIC SEVEN shading the verdict. The Jonjo O'Neil-trained gelding won with something in hand on both hurdle victories at Hereford last month and an opening mark of 124 may underestimate him. Rebel Intentions lost little in defeat when finishing third in a strong contest here in late November and the six-year-old is feared most, while handicap debutants Delgany Bobby Blue and Roger Pol can also figure.

ROGER POL displayed his stamina and willing attitude that had carried him to a couple of bumper wins to get off the mark in this sphere at Fakenham last month, and with this step up in trip sure to pose no issues, he can continue Jamie Snowden's excellent run of form on handicap bow with the assistance of a rider claiming 10 lb. Magic Seven made it 2-2 over hurdles at Hereford last month and he rates a big danger also starting out in handicaps, with Immortal Fame and Fable also considered.

In career-best form and with nothing to prove at this track, REBEL INTENTIONS looks sure to run well and gains a narrow vote.

Eased 2 lb and promises to be suited by this stiffer test.

(10) Night Jet 8/1, Out of a mare who did well for the same connections and he has shown ability, albeit without really threatening, in 7 starts over hurdles. Perhaps the fitting of cheekpieces will help spark some improvement and, if so, he wouldn't be without each-way hope.
0-7 over hurdles; may benefit from this drop back in trip but others have stronger claims.

Blinkers/tongue strap refitted.
Pulled up last time but a major player if judged on earlier Chepstow second.

(5) Midnight Soldier 16/1, Made a winning bumper debut in good style at Fontwell in June 2021 for Christian Williams. Encouraging second of 6 in a C&D novice on hurdles bow in May and, though safely held both starts since, he could do better now pitched into a handicap.
Bumper winner; only minor promise in novice hurdles; improvement possible in handicaps.

|PU| (13) Begoodtoyourself (25/1 -456%)
Begoodtoyourself

25/1(-456%)
(13) Begoodtoyourself 25/1, Very modest strike rate overall but, to his credit, he knuckled down well when opening his hurdles account at Carlisle (19.3f, good to soft) 19 days ago. The runner-up did the form no hard when hitting the crossbar again next time and this 8-y-o is a player off 3 lb higher here.
Kept on well to win at Carlisle last month but today's slower ground is probably not ideal.
LTO Selection:

13:05 Uttoxeter Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

A game winner at Carlisle 19 days ago, the lightly-weighted Begoodtoyourself enters calculations off just a 3lb higher mark, while Jack Sprat is not underestimated despite the imposition of top-weight. However, the consistent HI RIKO is nominated after posting a couple of near-misses in similar contests last month. The Richard Hobson-trained gelding has gone up another 5lb for his latest effort but still looks on a workable mark and is hard to ignore, especially with Brian Hughes now doing the steering.

Having shaped encouragingly on his first run for the Skelton yard at Market Rasen, HUGUENEAU earns the vote with this step up in trip a potentially good move. Hi Riko has been knocking on the door and should pick up a race sooner rather than later, while Begoodtoyourself, who finally got the job done at Carlisle last time, is third choice. Accidental Legend needs to bounce back but he's a C&D winner and will be a threat if able to do so off this reduced mark.

Another chance is given to PORTENTOSO, who ran a big race in defeat on heavy ground two starts ago.

LTO Selection:

13:20 Ascot Maiden Hurdle (Class 3) 22f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

WELCOM TO CARTRIES dropped a significant hint of more to come with a highly commendable second-placed finish over 2m3f on his Rules/hurdles debut here last month and is likely to be a key player with a step forward expected. Ideal Des Bordes was a well-held third in that race but is likely to have benefited from that experience and should know more this time. Similar comments apply to Leader In The Park and Havock, who are both shortlisted as potential improvers.

WELCOME TO CARTRIES shaped with plenty of promise when just touched off on his hurdling debut here 4 weeks ago and is an obvious choice to go one better with improvement on the cards. Leader In The Park and Ideal des Bordes head up the opposition in an interesting maiden.

The form of the Paul Nicholls-trained WELCOM TO CARTRIES reads particularly well and he is preferred ahead of Leader In The Park.

13:40 Uttoxeter Handicap Chase (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Trainer Venetia Williams has won two of the last three runnings of this race and she could enhance that record courtesy of DESQUE DE L'ISLE here. An easy winner of a conditional jockeys' race at Lingfield last time out, he is unpenalised here but is due to go up 5lb for future contests and he looks well in here. Sure Touch could be his main rival on ground he has won on before and he makes his second start after wind surgery, leaving Eaton Collina to follow them home.

EATON COLLINA eventually got the hang of things over fences last season and had excuses at Wetherby on his return, so is worth another chance off what remains a decent mark. Desque de L'isle bounced back to form when winning at Lingfield on his first attempt at this trip and is the obvious threat ahead of Sure Touch.

Desque De L'Isle is respected but THOR DE CERISY (nap) has slipped to a tempting mark and is likely to handle today's ground well.

13:55 Ascot Handicap Chase (Class 3) 17f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Persian Time (second) had Lallygag (sixth) behind when second in this grade at Newbury earlier in the month and he can confirm that form here. However, the vote goes to HOMME PUBLIC, who was a two-length winner of a Grade 2 at Cheltenham last time. The son of Cokoriko steps back into handicap company and could prove to be a class above his rivals. Authorised Speed makes his chasing debut and can be in the mix for the minor honours.

Lightly-raced hurdler PERSIAN TIME shaped encouragingly with his attentions turned to chasing when runner-up at Newbury on his handicap bow/return and can put that experience to good use. Homme Public was undoubtedly fortunate to win a Grade 2 at Cheltenham last time but still rates the main threat bidding for the hat-trick.

The 5yo PERSIAN TIME was suited by this course over hurdles and earns the vote on the back of his promising chase debut at Newbury.

14:07 Southwell Handicap (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Conquest Of Power has filled the runner-up spot in this grade on his last two starts and should give it another good go off a 1lb higher mark. However, the one to side with is AUTUMN ANGEL, who flew home to finish third over this trip at Wolverhampton last time and remains on the same mark. Fircombe Hall has been in good heart of late and is another to consider.

CONQUEST OF POWER has returned to form on his last 2 starts, looking unlucky not to finish closer when runner-up at Chelmsford last time, so he could be ready to return to winning ways this time around. Autumn Angel is also down to a handy mark and is feared most, ahead of Fircombe Hall.

Nazca, Fircombe Hall and AUTUMN ANGEL appeal most with the latter taken to build on a promising recent run at Wolverhampton.

14:15 Uttoxeter Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 22f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

A wide-open contest at first glance, but one that may well go the way of CLASSIC MAESTRO, who looks the best handicapped in this field. He remains a maiden after three starts, but was only beaten a neck at Newcastle last time out with 22 lengths back to the third and that appears the best form on offer. Due to go up 6lb for future races, his chance is there for all to see and he could get the better of Bobo Mac and Barricane, who are feared most.

A few with chances but CLASSIC MAESTRO can race off the same mark as when an excellent recent Newcastle second so is hard to oppose. Veteran Bobo Mac also figures on a handy-looking mark and rates the chief threat to Jennie Candlish's 5-y-o, with unexposed duo Houston Calling and Tara Cove not ruled out either in an intriguing handicap.

The turnaround of just eight days is the concern with unexposed youngster CLASSIC MAESTRO who otherwise makes plenty of appeal.

14:30 Ascot Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

In a race that may go to one of the less exposed runners, a chance is taken on PONCHO. Gary Moore's gelding was a faller on his last two starts but he could bounce back in this company if sorting out his jumping. If he does put in a clear round, the five-year-old may prove too good for the lightly-raced Jagwar, who has a touch of class about him. Others who make the shortlist are Immortal, Toonagh Warrior and Bad.

BAD shaped well when second in what looked a good renewal of the Gerry Feilden at Newbury at the beginning of the month and is taken to build on that promise now. There should be more to come from Nicky Henderson's Immortal and he's second choice ahead of Jagwar and Titan Discovery, who appeal as likely improvers now making a quick switch to handicaps.

The ex-French 4yo JAGWAR (nap) is an interesting prospect for JP McManus and the Greenall/Guerriero stable, and he is the pick.

14:42 Southwell Handicap (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

SEA ME DANCE successfully completed a double at Lingfield earlier in the month and she was put up 3lb for that victory. The daughter of Sea The Stars takes a step up in grade now, but that is unlikely to stop her from going in again. Aqwaam was only denied by just under two lengths in a stronger contest than this over C&D last time and has to be considered off the same mark, while Smart Champion can fight it out for the minor money after his third at Chelmsford.

WESTERN STARS had been in better heart than his recent form figures suggested and he returned to winning ways in an apprentices event at Lingfield on Wednesday. He gets to race unpenalised here and can follow up with cheekpieces reapplied, though Aqwaam isn't taken lightly in his current form. Sea Me Dance completes the shortlist.

Western Stars does not have to carry a penalty for Wednesday's win but the best two options may be SEA ME DANCE and Aqwaam.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

ROCKINASTORM made it 2-2 over the larger obstacles when landing a conditional jockeys' event at Hereford on Saturday and the son of Mahler makes plenty of appeal, especially being 6lb well-in. Imperial Alex has been knocking on the door on his latest outings and is likely to be in the mix once again. Breeze Of Wind, a comfortable winner at Hexham, and On The Platform are others capable of a decent showing.

IMPERIAL ALEX shaped well on chasing debut at Warwick (strong form) and he was only beaten by one that had the run of things at Newcastle last time, so he's fancied to make the breakthrough over fences this time. Breeze of Wind is on the up is likely to emerge as a big threat, while Rockinastorm can't be dismissed.

It's rare for a horse to win three times in a row off the same mark but ROCKINASTORM may accomplish that today.

15:05 Ascot Maiden Chase (Class 1) 19f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

DJELO takes a step up in grade following a brace of victories in handicap company at Aintree and Newbury. It was pleasing to see him back up his first success, having faced a lack of obstacles on that occasion, and this appears to be an excellent opportunity for him to continue his progression. Might I finished alone at Exeter when opening his account over the larger obstacles at the second attempt. He is likely to pose a solid threat, while Kandoo Kid appeared to need every yard of the trip to win at Newbury and he may find a test of this nature on the sharp side.

DJELO hasn't looked back since sent chasing and can take this step up in class in his stride to make it 3-3. Might I also has better days ahead of him and rates the main danger to Venetia Williams' exciting prospect, with both Kandoo Kid and Unexpected Party not ruled out either in an intriguing contest.

The 5yo DJELO has impressed when winning handicaps on his two chase starts and is taken to maintain his unbeaten record over fences.

LTO Selection:

15:17 Southwell Handicap (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

LADY IN HAVANA justified favouritism on her nursery debut over C&D earlier in the month and a 5lb rise for that success is unlikely to stop her from taking another step forward. Alibi Warning caught the eye when fourth behind the selection on that occasion and has to be respected with the handicapper having left her mark alone. She is capable of reversing form with Badosa (second).

ALIBI WARNING was behind 3 of her opposition here over C&D last time but would have gone closer granted a clearer run and she's fancied to capitalise on an unchanged mark. Lady In Havana and Badosa were the 1-2 in that contest and are obvious players again.

There could be more to come from LADY IN HAVANA and she can make it 2-2 for this yard. Alibi Warning is feared most.

15:25 Uttoxeter Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

SMART CASUAL was just denied when attempting to get off the mark at Fontwell and the five-year-old, who is 3lb well-in, boasts strong credentials with the drop back in trip appearing to be in his favour. Damarta makes his handicap debut following a wind operation and commands a fair amount of respect, while Sailed Away could have more to offer on his return to 2m after not appearing to get home at Taunton last time.

An open-looking finale in which preference is for SMART CASUAL, who was collared near the line having gone like the best horse at the weights at Fontwell 10 days ago and Anthony Honeyball's 5-y-o can go a place better from an unchanged mark. Damarta has shaped better than the bare result in 3 novice hurdles this season so he rates as a significant threat on handicap debut, with Time To Dazzle and Sailed Away also capable of having a say in proceedings.

Handicap debutant DAMARTA has displayed considerable promise on all four of his hurdling starts and he appeals most.

LTO Selection:

15:40 Ascot NH Flat Race (Class 1) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

In a wide-open event, marginal preference is for CELTIC DINO, who created a big impression when justifying favouritism on his racecourse debut over C&D last month. With the benefit of that experience, Sam Thomas' gelding could prove hard to beat once again. That said, Captain Bellamy also won well on his first outing and is an obvious threat to the selection, while Brechin Castle should not be discounted despite carrying a double penalty. Others to note are I Wont Back Down, Dunskay and Marvellous Mick.

BRECHIN CASTLE is unbeaten in three (including a point) and he could have pulled out more if required at Cheltenham last time, so he's fancied to add to his burgeoning reputation here. Impressive debut winners Let It Rain and Captain Bellamy are feared most.

Paul Nicholls has won the last two runnings and Harry Cobden's mount CAPTAIN BELLAMY is taken to maintain his unbeaten record.

LTO Selection:

15:50 Southwell Handicap (Class 4) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

STONE OF DESTINY returned to winning ways here last Friday, when overcoming traffic problems in the process, and the eight-year-old is capable of backing that performance up, despite being 2lb wrong when factoring in his penalty. Rose King has been running consistently well since returning from a break in October, while Khabib and Twilight Madness appeal most of the remainder.

KHABIB scored over C&D from a 4 lb lower mark last month and made the frame in a 0-90 last time, so appeals as the standard-setter carrying top-weight back down in grade. Twilight Madness only went down narrowly against the selection last time and has to be respected again in spite of a high draw, whilst bottom-weight Captain's Bar bounced back to form at Newcastle last time and remains on a workable mark.

Stone Of Destiny looks set to go well once again but top-weight KHABIBo may have his measure under his optimum conditions.

LTO Selection:

16:20 Southwell Handicap (Class 6) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Yorkstone is expected to bounce back following a spin over hurdles at Wetherby last month, having won twice on turf at Doncaster and Ayr earlier in the year. The vote, though, goes to PAVLODAR, who had excuses when disappointing at Chepstow in September and, having been freshened up ahead of his debut for Mick Appleby, this may be the time to catch him. Tea Sea and Urban Road are also likely to enter calculations.

URBAN ROAD's form figures on the all-weather (all at Newcastle) since July read 13123 and he was an unlucky loser on his latest start at the end of October. On that evidence, he remains on a good mark up 1 lb and it also augurs well that he was a C&D winner on his latest visit here during the spring. Fellow C&D winner Sycamore is next on the list ahead of Perfect Swiss, who has slipped to a dangerous mark. Haworth Star is also shortlisted.

The two against the field are last year's winner Perfect Swiss and the unexposed TEA SEA.

LTO Selection:

16:25 Dundalk Maiden 6f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

THE POACHER DALY gets a tentative vote in what appears a fairly modest maiden. The Joseph O'Brien-trained colt cost 165,000 guineas at the breeze up sales and stepped up from a disappointing debut here earlier this month when only weakening inside the final furlong behind Port Augusta (Badda Big held). He should be suited by this drop back to six. Branding, who hails from a yard in decent form, ran well on soft ground at Naas back in July and should benefit from a recent outing at this venue. Fair Taxes kept on nicely on debut over C&D and is another to consider along with Hemight. Ohailbhic, Oh So Bright and Spirit Lady are three newcomers to keep a close eye on in the market.

OH SO BRIGHT makes plenty of appeal on paper so may be up to making a winning start in what looks an ordinary maiden. Fair Taxes shaped like an improver when third over C&D on debut 5 weeks ago so is next best ahead of Branding, who wasn't seen to best effect back from a break here 16 days ago.

It was an encouraging debut from FAIR TAXES who placed here last month and with that race working out well, he could be worth chancing

LTO Selection:

16:50 Southwell Handicap (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

KHATHAK is only 1lb higher than his recent close-up second over a mile at Newcastle and compensation could await the four-year-old if proving as effective on his return to 7f. Embarked's Kempton victory in September has worked out well, although a 9lb rise in the ratings will certainly make life tougher for James Fanshawe's gelding. With that in mind, a bigger threat may emerge from fellow in-form rival Bowood.

The vote goes to EMBARKED, who made it 2 wins from his last 3 starts with a decisive display at Kempton and a 9 lb rise may not be enough to stop him in his tracks. Masqool caught the eye at Wolverhampton recently and he should be in the mix, granted a strong pace to aim at. Bowood's turn is surely near and he should also be on the premises.

A 9lb rise might not be enough to prevent EMBARKED (nap) following up his easy Kempton win. Bowood is best of the rest.

17:00 Dundalk Maiden 7f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

SAILOR'S WARNING caught the eye on debut but was absent for a year until reappearing here again over a mile earlier this month behind Finsceal Go Deo. That form has been advertised since by the runner-up Swan Band and the Dawn Approach filly is entitled to progress from the outing. Cross Border has been a frustrating sort to follow filling the runner-up spot here on his latest three starts over six. He's closely matched with Loma Larnee on running behind Billboa last time, with Marble Angel over four lengths back in fifth, and the visor is now replaced by blinkers. Loma Larnee finished well when only beaten about a length behind Samrogue here on Wednesday while Gioiella, who has placed form in France, is another to consider.

SAILOR'S WARNING might have needed the run after 12 months off here 3 weeks ago so is worth another chance to confirm debut promise. Cross Border is proving expensive to follow but still rates the main threat ahead of Marble Angel.

MARBLE ANGEL was behind two of these here last week but that was her first run and she looks certain to appreciate a step up to 7f

LTO Selection:

17:15 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 5) 9f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

A half-brother to a winner over this sort of trip, JUAN SOLO steps into a nursery off a workable mark and looks worth chancing in a race lacking in depth. The Sylvester Kirk-trained gelding has already proven to be effective on Tapeta, with two placed efforts in restricted maidens at this venue, and can potentially do better over this longer distance. Buttercross Flyer is respected as the only previous winner in the field, while Fly Pass is handily drawn if he takes to racing in first-time blinkers.

QUEEN OF ATLANTIS was in the process of showing much-improved form making yard/handicap debut until short of room inside the final 1f at Lingfield earlier this month, and looks an interesting contender eased 2 lb. Buttercross Flyer had excuses at Nottingham last time and is worth another chance, while handicap-debutant Juan Solo has got better with each run.

Preference is handicap newcomer JUAN SOLO, who has shown up well at this track on his last two outings

17:25 Southwell Handicap (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Arika offered something to work with when fourth on his reappearance in a maiden at Wolverhampton earlier this month and the son of Speightstown warrants consideration on his handicap bow. Preference, however, is for THAPA VC, who bounced back to form when third at Lingfield recently and a 1lb drop in the ratings is likely to help. Shaw Park and Wilde And Dandy also warrant a second look.

Irish-import ADMIRAL NELSON made a winning start for new connections at Newcastle recently and, still on a handy mark following a 4 lb rise, he is taken to strike again. Arika is open to improvement now pitched into a handicap and is feared most, while Thapa Vc is feasibly treated and enters calculations, too, on the back of a creditable effort at Lingfield earlier this month.

Admiral Nelson is respected but THAPA VC can make his first trip to Southwell a winning one.

LTO Selection:

17:30 Dundalk Handicap 7f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

LITTLE KEILEE won on soft ground at Sligo back in the spring and has strung together a series of consistent efforts here last month. The Ciaran Murphy-trained filly was unlucky in running over a mile before just denied by Mullacash Buzz over this trip with the hat-trick seeking El Bello about two lengths back in fourth. Skontonovski beat Notforalongtime by a neck over C&D last month and both have further advertised their prospects since with Laura Hourigan's charge winning a claimer. Ramiro has shown a preference for soft ground in winning five times on turf while Superior Force won twice as a juvenile for George Boughey and, having shown promise over a mile here last winter, reappears after an eight-month break.

SKONTONOVSKI has been in fine form here of late and can strike for Ado McGuinness. Stablemate Allo Arry returned to form here last time and is a possible threat. Marks Bear, who is starting to look well treated, and recent C&D claiming winner Notforalongtime also make the shortlist. Dromantine would need considering if getting a run.

It may be worth taking a chance with ON OUR RADAR who is a C&D winner that is unexposed and a return to this surface could suit

17:45 Wolverhampton Maiden (Class 5) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

El Bufalo sets the standard from those with previous experience and is noteworthy turned out relatively quickly after a respectable second-placed finish on debut at Newcastle a fortnight ago. Very likely to be wiser now, another big run is expected from this son of Havana Grey. However, GOLDEN BERENICE rates the pick of Richard Fahey's two entrants and, with her sex allowance a handy asset, she can capitalise from a plum draw. Fellow newcomer Collusion completes the shortlist along with Quercine, who is another potential improver.

EL BUFALO will set the bar pretty high if stepping up as expected on his Newcastle debut effort. Quercine shaped quite nicely on her debut at Chelmsford last month. Collusion is one of a few newcomers who need keeping an eye on in the betting.

Quercine looks the clear second best on racecourse evidence but EL BUFALO showed much more when he was second at Newcastle.

LTO Selection:

17:55 Southwell Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

INDIE SKIES posted a respectable second at Kempton recently and the three-year-old must hold every chance off a 3lb lower mark on this quick turnaround. Little Red Dancer has been knocking on the door of late and is likely to make her presence felt once more. Alan Brown's filly is likely to be the main threat ahead of Tom Tulliver, who was far from disgraced on his return here earlier in the month.

INDIE SKIES took quite a big step forward when runner-up at Kempton 9 days ago and has obvious claims off 3 lb lower (due to go up 2 lb). Little Red Dancer has been knocking on the door since returned to AW so is feared most ahead of Bear To Dream.

Little Red Dancer is banging at the door but TOM TULLIVER shaped well on his return to action and gets the narrow verdict.

LTO Selection:

18:00 Dundalk Stakes 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

NOT FORGOTTEN tackles handicap company for the first time and may prove difficult to beat. He won a barrier trial last year and was placed here three times in maidens including behind the odds-on Persian Jewel before comfortably opening his account over C&D last month. Chavajod and Barbapapa have both been raised 8lb for C&D wins last time. The former had Pierre Lapin just over two lengths behind when successful earlier this month, while Exquisite Acclaim was beaten a similar margin when third to Barbapapa last month. Sea Chariot also won here over a mile on his penultimate start, while Dabana may appreciate this drop back in trip.

It might be worth chancing CHEERS AGAIN bouncing back to form at a venue where he has a 2-2 record. Ado McGuinness pair Exquisite Solo and Pierre Lapin head the dangers, while Not Forgotten has the potential to take a step forward on the back of his C&D maiden win last month.

Preference is for BARBAPAPA, a decisive winner of a C&D handicap early last month and comes here fresh

LTO Selection:

18:15 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 4) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Dynamic Force and Star Of Lady M appeal on recent form and merit places on the shortlist, while the well-travelled Petit Calvados has winning form on Deauville's Polytrack and can go well if he takes to the surface on his Tapeta debut. However, WALKING ON CLOUDS is better than he has shown in three previous starts for the John Butler yard and may offer a bit of value off 3lb lower than his last winning mark (turf).

DYNAMIC FORCE shaped well at Chelmsford last time and could take a bit of stopping if the cheekpieces continue to work. Irish-raider Petit Calvados can give him most to do ahead of Star of Lady M, who is the type to bounce back from a rare below-par run last time.

An open race in which recent Chelmsford runner-up DYNAMIC FORCE gets the vote ahead of Nelson Gay and Petit Calvados.

LTO Selection:

18:30 Dundalk Handicap 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

FOLLY BEACH has won just once from 22 runs and has done most of her racing on turf, but stays well and ran promisingly over an inadequate distance here last month. A Leopardstown winner in July, she has been well-held on four course starts but finished her most recent race (over 1m2f) quite well and she is 1lb lower under a 5lb claimer. The slow-starting Riyami won over C&D last month and having met a little traffic here recently, should get involved over this more favourable distance. Six-time winner Jake Peter stays well and should also appreciate stepping back up in distance in a first-time hood. Vultan has won twice from 22 runs and ran satisfactorily when slowly away again on his all-weather debut last month.

A tricky contest in which it may pay to side with RIYAMI, who scored on his penultimate outing and wasn't seen to best effect on debut for his current stable at this course a fortnight ago. Palace Rock is an obvious danger and Zileo should put up another solid showing.

A competitive contest but the tentative vote goes to PALACE ROCK who is a potential improver stepping up to 2m for the first time

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Queen Maker threw away her chances when rearing in the stalls on her Chelmsford debut, but she should have learned from that experience and could be a different proposition here. Newcomer Trivia Quest, a daughter of Dandy Man and related to numerous winners, is respected on her debut and she could go well, but QUEUES LIKELY is preferred. Already successful at Windsor and Chelmsford this year, she only has to give 6lb to her rivals here which may not be beyond Stan Moore's daughter of Massaat.

COLOUR CODE's debut form is strong and she shaped like she would improve for the experience, so she gets the marginal vote over Leveret, who has achieved a bit more in form terms. Trivia Quest is an interesting newcomer.

This looks tricky but COLOUR CODE made a promising start at Newmarket in August and she gets the vote on her return.

LTO Selection:

19:00 Dundalk Handicap 12f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

UNTERBERG showed promise recently and should compete from 2lb higher, under today's 5lb claimer. His maiden form was ok and while well beaten in two October turf runs, seemed better suited by this surface when running well having been carried left close home last month. He steps up in distance which might suit. Pinball Wizard threw off his sprinting shackles when finishing third over 1m2f recently but, having once been a keen sprinter, is possibly best watched on his first attempt over 1m4f. Juvenile hurdler Spinning Web is 6lb higher than when winning here last month but still remains somewhat unexposed in this sphere. Nusra is 9lb higher than when winning well last month (Sand Castle finished third). Say It So finished reasonably well here last month and steps back up in distance. Curious Bride has been running well but has top-weight, while Oranmore would prefer farther.

PINBALL WIZARD ran with credit at this course last time and remains well treated on old form, so he's marginally preferred to Oranmore and Sand Castle in a competitive event.

A sporting selection goes to UNTERBERG, who was a little unlucky over 1m2f here last month and the step up in trip could be key

LTO Selection:

19:15 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 4) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Visibility scored at Southwell last time out and he can go well carrying a 5lb penalty alongside See You Boy, who won at Lingfield nine days ago. Both could get involved, but they have to give weight to the lightly-raced SMOKY MOUNTAIN. A maiden winner over C&D earlier in the month on his first start since April, the son of Frankel makes his handicap debut now and may have a lot more to offer.

SMOKY MOUNTAIN wasn't hard pressed to open his account in a C&D maiden 18 days ago and, with improvement on the cards, he could have been let in lightly off a mark of 77. He's preferred to fellow last-time-out winners Just Janet and See You Boy.

The vote goes to SMOKY MOUNTAIN, who won by 4l in a C&D novice on his recent return and is open to more progress on his handicap debut.

First reserve; beaten 10l on stable and handicap debut over 1m2f here last month.
LTO Selection:

19:30 Dundalk Handicap 12f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

SKY LEGEND is in-form and ideally suited by conditions. A rare Galileo-sired 16-race-maiden, he ran well from 1lb higher in better company last time with his same rider again claiming 5lb. Flier is a 14-race maiden but has had just three previous course runs and performed well nine days ago. Uberrima Fides showed big improvement on a recent CD run and while a 15-race maiden, should compete. Not Just Any Eagle has won once from 14 runs and while beaten a short-head recently, his best for is over slightly shorter trips. Gurkha Girl tries this distance for the first time but finished well here last month, while Brave Thought ran well (at 50/1) over C&D last month and seems quite unexposed. In-form Breagagh is a 41-race maiden and Anjah is long absent, while Shining Aitch defeated a subsequent dual winner in November but his best form is over shorter distances.

BRAVE THOUGHT shaped as if her turn is near when a very good C&D second last time so gets the nod with that form working out well. Not Just Any Eagle is also weighted to have a big say, while Flier and Gurkha Girl also need factoring into this competitve handicap.

The one to be on could be UBERRIMA FIDES, who just failed to get up on his C&D debut two weeks ago and might have more to offer

LTO Selection:

19:45 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

INTOXICATA has been a model of consistency over the past couple of months and Ed Dunlop's filly appears to have been found a suitable opportunity to get her head back in front. Aussi Mandate is capable of better after finishing third at Kempton but the drop in trip might not see her in the best light. With that in mind, the main danger could prove to be Diamondsinthesand, who scored over C&D on his penultimate start.

A case can be made for a few of these but INTOXICATA is already a three-time winner in 2023 and signalled she is ready to go in again when a good Southwell second last time out. Diamondsinthesand is a fellow C&D scorer and feared most, although a solid case can also be made for in-form duo Blue Collar Lad and College Wizard.

Top of the list is INTOXICATA (nap) who has a record of 112322 since the end of October. Aussi Mandate is feared most.

LTO Selection:

20:00 Dundalk Handicap 11f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

SATONO CHEVALIER finished third to a subsequent winner on December 6, when his rider claimed 5lb, and should run to his rating. Ideally suited by the all-weather, he is consistent and likes this distance. Dual course winner Benavente was beaten by today's rival Fairytale Princess here in November on his first attempt at this distance and might build on that, despite being 1lb out of the handicap. Fairytale Princess was subsequently well held by Yokkell, who the selection chased home recently and that loosely ties together some form lines. Final Check finished sixth in that December 6 race but is now 4lb out of the handicap. Top-weight Tyson Fury ran well on yard debut recently but would prefer further, while six-time course winner Freescape's rating has fallen recently. Migdam doesn't look ahead of the handicapper. Point Gellibrand, Dukeman and 4lb 'wrong' Young And Fun are all long absent and debuting for new connections.

Most of these can have a say but C&D scorer SATONO CHEAVALIER is fancied to build on his promising C&D third after an absence and return to winning ways. Tyson Fury is feared most on the back of a good recent second here for his new yard ahead of Benavente and Fairytale Princess, who both having winning form at the track.

Preference is for SATONO CHEVALIER(nap), a dual winner earlier in the year here and ran a cracker over C&D after eight months off

LTO Selection:

20:15 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 5) 9f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

All three of TIGER BEETLE's victories have come at this track and the drop back in distance appears unlikely to inconvenience the five-year-old in his attempt for a third victory in five outings. Hale End ran with credit when third to the selection last month and is capable of another decent showing, while others for the shortlist include Cosmos Raj and Break Point.

HALE END is knocking on the door and can get back to winning ways eased 1 lb here having not enjoyed the rub of the green when third here last time. Tiger Beetle came out on top that day and rates the chief threat to Michael Dods's 3-y-o, with Wadacre Grace another who can have a say in an open contest.

This looks a bit trappy but the vote goes to five-time AW winner WADACRE GRACE, who made a bold bid over C&D 13 days ago.
