John O'Donoghue's L L KOULSTY is of interest, particularly as he holds a Group 2 entry. There looks to be plenty to work with after an opening fifth in Leopardstown, and the fourth home won well at Down Royal last Friday. Wootton Bassett is proving to be a stellar sire of winning juveniles, so Listentodwindblow merits respect ahead of his racecourse debut for Joseph O'Brien. He is a half-brother to a Fillies' Mile winner and can reap the benefit of a fifth-place in a barrier trial. Rosie Frith was good from the front in winning a 5f maiden here and is dangerous off a light weight. Soy El Fuego, in a first-time tongue-strap, is another to consider.

5f seemed inadequate for SOY EL FUEGO when a beaten favourite at Bellewstown. He is worth another chance based on his Curragh debut

This could be the day for the 85-rated CHARLES FORT. He raced over a similar trip on debut at Fairyhouse and his runner-up berth can be viewed in a better light after the winner finished fourth in a Group 2 at Goodwood. Aidan O'Brien's colt was subsequently third in the Curragh and fourth at Gowran Park over further, and sets the standard. A step up in trip looked on the cards for Strike Zone after he kept on for third over 5f in Navan, so he has to rate a threat. Unionville attracted strong support in that maiden and showed up well for a long way before finishing fourth. There is likely to be more to come from him.

Normal improvement from his recent Navan debut may be enough to see STRIKE ZONE prevail over the more experienced Charles Fort

There is one of these handicaps in PINAR DEL RIO. Kieran Cotter's charge has a couple of runner-up finishes this season to advertise his chance and cut in the ground is an obvious bonus to him based on his results last year. Colter Bay finished well to win a maiden by a short head over C&D and that form has worked out well so he is a contender on his handicap debut, with Adam Browne-Souza claiming again. Jon Riggens has dropped down to a dangerous mark and it would be no surprise to see a big run from him. Send Harry was a solid third in his last couple of Curragh handicaps, while Dontspoilasale, Kilmood Susan and Rosato will have their supporters.

This is very open. SEND HARRY appeals as one of the more consistent types. The form of her last run has been boosted by the runner-up

JOSH'S JOY is trending the right way to get off the mark on her third outing. She went off favourite for her debut in Leopardstown and ran freely before coming home third behind a winner who has since taken a Group 3. She then showed good improvement to be pipped by a head in another visit to Leopardstown, which should have her primed for this assignment. River Ara made 300,000gns at the sales and ought to come on from an opening sixth at Leopardstown in July. Nautic Star began her career with a fifth in a good fillies' race at the Curragh, which was notable. Newcomers Amenita and Solana Beach are worthy of market checks.

Beaten only a head on the second of two outings at Leopardstown, JOSH'S JOY (nap) probably does not need to improve much to win here

LORR'S GIRL was successful over the course and distance in September of last year and was beaten by just half-a-length on her latest visit here. The daughter of Kodi Bear recently finished fourth at Leopardstown and a 2lb drop is likely to aid her cause. The winner of this very contest 12 months ago, Distillate is sure to have plenty of supporters after she registered a sixth career success at Laytown on Thursday. In truth, a case can be made for many others in this competitive affair, with handicap debutant Little Boo Thing, dual winner Starting Monday and Bellewstown fourth Draiocht a few for the shortlist.

Last week's Laytown winner, DISTILLATE, won a division of this last season and is still below that winning handicap mark

FIXATION came in for good support on his debut for current connections at the Curragh in June and while disappointing on that occasion, he since caught the eye at Leopardstown. Finishing strongly to take second at the Foxrock venue, he looks open to further progress. A runner-up on both starts to date, Hellorhighwater is sure to have plenty of supporters and has the beating of the re-opposing Naples, Daler and Chester Nimitz. The highest rated of those with a mark, Ben Lawers should appreciate this drop in class, after finishing last of nine in a Listed contest at Killarney on his latest start. With Ryusei Sakai aboard, it'll be interesting to see how Eichan San fares in first time cheekpieces, while Roscommon runner-up Tina's Charm and John Murphy's Sigliosa are others of note.

After 2 narrow defeats in maidens, HELLORHIGHWATER ought to go well and he's versatile with regards to conditions

An eye-catcher on her penultimate start at the Curragh, BURFORD BEAUTY gets the nod in this competitive affair. The Gavin Cromwell-trained three-year-old was a never nearer sixth and had subsequent winners both behind and in front. Starting off now in handicap company, upped in trip to a mile and fitted with a first time tongue strap, it'll be interesting to see how she fares. A dual winner in the UK, Toy Soldier looks the pick of Maurice Ahern's trio, with the local handler also responsible for top-weight Lough Leane and Perry Mason. Down to a mark of 70, Verhoyen warrants the utmost respect, while others for the shortlist are Deuteronomy, Zaraahmando and Medieval Night.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
