13:23 Doncaster Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Nights Over Egypt finally got off the mark when utilising his stamina at Thirsk over 6f in testing conditions and he is likely to enter calculations again off a 2lb higher mark. However, a chance is taken on DARBUCKS, who was knocking on the door at the back end of last season, including when first past the post at Ayr before being demoted to second, and he is worth forgiving his final effort at Catterick. The five-year-old remains capable of further improvement, while others to note include Eleven Eleven and Ring Of Gold.

NIGHTS OVER EGYPT displayed a willing attitude when opening his account at Thirsk 17 days ago and given the mark he'd dropped to, he retains plenty of handicap scope. King of Ithaca eases in class and he should run much closer to form this time, with Bantry completing the shortlist.

James Tate's KING OF ITHACA teed himself up well for this when an encouraging Chelmsford seventh on his return and he edges the verdict

13:58 Doncaster Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

RATAFIA hasn't looked back since gaining his first career success at Redcar in October, recording a pair of victories on the all-weather at Newcastle since. The most recent of those came after a break last month and the six-year-old, whose dam also relished plenty of cut in the ground when taking a Listed contest here in 2014, is likely to have further progression to come. Onemorenomore scored at the St Leger meeting in September and is respected on his first appearance since October. The hat-trick seeking Warrior Square and Five Winds complete the shortlist.

RATAFIA is on a roll and a small rise for Newcastle may not prevent him making it 4 wins in his last 5 starts. Warrior Square is another in the winning groove at present and is second choice ahead of Five Winds, who is much less exposed than most of these and made a solid start to her handicap career at Chelmsford over Easter.

Alseeyerthere can do better this year but the thriving RATAFIA (nap) is fancied to make it four wins in his last five starts.

14:33 Doncaster Stakes (Class 4) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Balmacara built on the promise of his debut third at Newmarket when displaying a fine attitude over C&D to gain a first career victory. His ability to handle the ground will be very much in his favour, but having to shoulder a penalty in what might turn out to be a fairly deep contest could prove to be his undoing. Juddmonte boast two obvious chances with Upscale, who was runner-up on her sole start to leading 1000 Guineas contender Dance Sequence at Newmarket, and STANAGE. The latter gets the vote as he is expected to be streetwise enough for this, especially with his close relatives Coventry winner Calyx and Sandringham heroine Coppice both winners on their racecourse debuts.

MIDNIGHT'S DREAM found only 2000 Guineas fancy Night Raider too strong on debut at Southwell and seems sure to improve, so could be the way to go. This might be a good novice though, and solid cases can also be made for Upscale, newcomer Stanage and Balmacara.

The Gosdens' Kingman newcomer STANAGE, a brother to the very smart Calyx no less, rates a most interesting prospect and gets the vote.

15:08 Doncaster Maiden (Class 5) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

JUNEBERRY confirmed the promise that she displayed on debut last year when a respectable third at Kempton a few weeks ago and the daughter of Night Of Thunder could be hard to beat in this company. Cherry Burton could prove to be the main threat to the selection following her third at Southwell last time, while Twilight Vision is a newcomer to note.

JUNEBERRY still looked to be learning on her return at Kempton and makes plenty of appeal back on turf with that under her belt. Twilight Vision is an appealing newcomer on paper, while Cherry Burton should have more to offer.

The Gosdens' JUNEBERRY made a promising return when third at Kempton (form franked) so is impossible to side against with more to come.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

OUR GOLDEN ONE accounted for a decent field when winning on her final start as a juvenile over an extended 1m at Nottingham. The step up in trip should help the daughter of Golden Horn and an opening mark of 79 may underestimate her ability. Too Bossy For Us put in a career-best when third at Kempton last month and he has to be of interest on his handicap bow. Others to note are Alpen Power and Let's Dream.

OUR GOLDEN ONE was progressive last season and the form of her Nottingham success 6 months ago has been boosted since, so she's preferred to Too Bossy For Us, who should benefit from the step up in trip switched to handicaps. Timetobenice is also considered.

Tom Ward's Golden Horn filly OUR GOLDEN ONE can follow up her Nottingham maiden win now handicapping with this longer trip a big plus.

16:15 Doncaster Handicap (Class 5) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

YA HAFHD took a step forward when getting off the mark over 1m3f at Southwell in December on just her second start. Roger Varian's filly is likely to have more improvement left to come and a mark of 75 should be workable on her handicap bow. Prisha is also unexposed and should not be underestimated, while Throubi edges out Turner Girl to be best of the rest.

YA HAFHD still looked pretty raw when landing a Southwell novice in December and, with improvement on the cards now pitched into a handicap, she looks the way to go. Though below par last time, Throubi will be a threat if she puts her best foot forward and cases can also be made for both Prisha and D Day Arvalenreeva.

Roger Varian's Sea The Stars filly YA HAFHD is much the least exposed and hard to side against on the back of her Southwell success.

16:55 Doncaster Handicap (Class 5) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

FIDDLERS GREEN toyed with his rivals at Bath last week and didn't have to break sweat to saunter almost nine lengths clear of the runner-up. He escapes a penalty for that demolition job so is 10lb well-in compared to his revised mark. This contest is much more competitive, though, and Clear White Light returned to Flat action to justify favouritism at Catterick, while Upepo has been in fine form on the all-weather. Story Horse and handicap debutants A Gift Of Love and Waxing Gibbous have to be considered closely too.

FIDDLERS GREEN opened his account on turf in emphatic fashion in a weak contest at Bath last week and escaping a penalty for that success, John O'Shea's 5-y-o gets the nod to follow up at the expense of A Gift of Love, who is open to improvement making her handicap/turf debut for the in-form Charlie Fellowes. Clear White Light, Story Horse and Upepo are a handful of others to consider, too.

Preference is for CLEAR WHITE LIGHT, who won on the Flat at Catterick last time and remains well treated on his hurdling ability.

17:30 Doncaster Handicap (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

FLYING FINN was sent off at odds-on for her handicap debut at Ripon and the result never looked in doubt. She has been hit with a 9lb rise for that six-and-a-half length triumph, so Adrian Keatley is wise to get her out under a penalty before the hike comes into effect. Rukaana also made a successful start to his handicap career, although that came at Wolverhampton in October so he doesn't have the advantage of recent match practice. Even so, he is given maximum respect, with Keep Warm, Asimov and Duke Wellington just three more to consider in a fiercely competitive heat.

FLYING FINN showed improved form when making a winning handicap debut in good style at Ripon last week, looking better the further she went, and a penalty might not be enough to prevent her from following up. Rukaana was also successful on his first handicap start and is respected on his return, with the progressive Sir Gabrial completing the shortlist.

A few with claims but FLYING FINN is hard to side against under a penalty after spreadeagling her field on her handicap debut at Ripon.
