10/1(+17%) | (8) Jet To Monte Carlo 10/1, Didn't stay back up in trip when comfortably held in a maiden hurdle at Leopardstown last time; effective 2m on soft; point winner with more to come over hurdles down in trip on handicap debut. Will probably be seen in a brighter light sooner or later; check market on h'cap debut. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (9/1 +0%)Radiator Springs |
9/1(+0%) | (5) Radiator Springs 9/1, Ran to form in getting off the mark when winning a maiden hurdle at Clonmel by 1 1/4l last time; off a short-break; effective 2m, acts with cut; could improve further now handicapping. 8/1(+20%) | (18) Mart Lane 8/1, Ran to form when second beaten 2l in a maiden hurdle at Wexford latest; effective 2m, acts on heavy and soft; capable of improvement now handicapping. Improved second in a maiden latest and he brings potential off this sort of mark. |

5th (19) (40/1 -21%)Desert Haven |
40/1(-21%) | (19) Desert Haven 40/1, Below form beaten 4l off a 31lb lower mark at Naas last time; effective 2m, acts on sound surface; fair mark on return to hurdling. 0-10 over hurdles and come up shy in less competitive races than this. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (16) (5/1 +0%)Thankyouforthedays |
5/1(+0%) | (16) Thankyouforthedays 5/1, Improved down in grade on handicap debut scoring by 8 1/2l off a 13lb lower mark at Naas last time; effective 2m, acts on heavy and yielding; new mark asks more. Whacked up 13lb for his Naas win but he's well related and no doubt has lots more to offer. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) (11/2 +8%)Arslan |
11/2(+8%) | (2) Arslan 11/2, Yard has won last two runnings of race; converted a simple opportunity when winning a maiden hurdle at Thurles by 8 1/2l last time; effective 2m-2m4f, acts on heavy and good to yielding; more to come now handicapping. ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (22) (40/1 0%)Poet's Gale |
40/1(0%) | (22) Poet's Gale 40/1, Outpaced, ran to form but looked in need of further when comfortably held in a maiden hurdle at Navan last time; effective 2m with cut; needs more. Hasn't progressed from debut run and wouldn't be the obvious answer on handicap debut. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

8/1(-23%) | (1) Saveforarainyday 8/1, Improved to get off the mark with ease when winning a maiden hurdle at Limerick by 18l last time; off a short-break; effective 2m, acts on heavy and yielding; wouldn't want drying ground but capable of better now handicapping. Hosed up in the hood at Limerick and this well-bred mare is potentially well handicapped. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (10) (16/1 -14%)Court Canyon |
16/1(-14%) | (10) Court Canyon 16/1, Improved despite defeat under a penalty when second beaten 4l in a novice hurdle at Catterick latest; tongue-tie first time; returning from a break; effective around 2m4f, acts on sound surface; not sure drop in trip will suit on this handicap debut. Point/maiden winner; left Gavin Cromwell; this mark looks no gift for handicap debut. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
14th (11) (25/1 -39%)Kabylia |
25/1(-39%) | (11) Kabylia 25/1, Ran to form when 16l third in a maiden hurdle at Kilbeggan most recent run; effective 2m-2m2f, suited by good ground; bumper winner has proven consistent over hurdles. Likeably consistent but whether she's that well handicapped is another matter. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
15th (17) (9/1 -20%)Likealightswitch |
9/1(-20%) | (17) Likealightswitch 9/1, Converted straightforward opportunity when winning a maiden hurdle at Gowran Park by 7 1/2l last time; effective 2m-2m2f, acts on heavy and good; well held in one previous handicap try. ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
16th (3) (16/1 +20%)Tatateo |
16/1(+20%) | (3) Tatateo 16/1, Ran to form at Dundalk latest; off a short-break; effective around 2m over hurdles, acts with cut; useful dual-purpose performer, mark demands over hurdles. Well held in his two previous handicaps as a jumper but has since won a Cork novice. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
17th (9) (14/1 +13%)Lincoln Du Seuil |
14/1(+13%) | (9) Lincoln Du Seuil 14/1, Yard has won last two runnings of race; bit keen but improved in reapplied hood when 14l third in a maiden hurdle here most recent run; tongue-tie first time; off a short-break; effective 2m, acts with cut; capable of better now handicapping for top yard. He's not obviously well in for this first handicap but it's early days; new tongue-tie. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
18th (15) (16/1 -33%)Hesgonethatway |
16/1(-33%) | (15) Hesgonethatway 16/1, Ran to form off revised mark, just flattening out late in strongly run race when fifth beaten 6l off 109 last time, same mark here; usually held up; effective at 2m, acts on soft to heavy; in good form. Perhaps won too well at Naas (soft/heavy) as the 9lb rise found him out at Thurles. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
19th (4) (25/1 -39%)Withabitofluk |
25/1(-39%) | (4) Withabitofluk 25/1, Ran to form when comfortably held in a maiden hurdle at Navan last time; returning from long layoff; effective at 2m on soft to heavy and good to yielding; might need this back from 13 months off. ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
20th (13) (22/1 -100%)Wackestone |
22/1(-100%) | (13) Wackestone 22/1, Below form when comfortably held in a maiden hurdle at Punchestown last time; off a short-break; effective at 2m-2m2f with cut; needs more on handicap debut but with top yard. Maiden promise; has to be interest against older opposition on handicap debut. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (7) (80/1 +0%)Camlin Park |
80/1(+0%) | (7) Camlin Park 80/1, Pulled up in a novice hurdle at Hexham latest; effective 2m2f, suited by sound surface; capable of better now handicapping. Maiden win at Downpatrick very much a standout piece of form over hurdles. |

SAVEFORARAINYDAY impressed with a wide-margin success in a mares' maiden hurdle at Limerick in February. The form of her fourth at Leopardstown over Christmas has been very well franked, so she has a sporting chance of giving weight away here. Anna McGuinness claims 7lb on Arslan and the pair teamed up well when winning at Thurles. Radiator Springs has form behind top-class mares Oldschool Outlaw and Bambino Fever when third at Naas, and built on that when delivering at Clonmel in January.

There are loads to consider but THANKYOUFORTHEDAYS was heavily backed when bolting up in his first handicap.

If forgiven his Festival blip in the Triumph then his credentials are clear to see. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (9/2 +0%)Macho Man |
9/2(+0%) | (3) Macho Man 9/2, Yard won this last year; too keen and bad mistake early when pulled up in Triumph Hurdle (Grade 1) at Cheltenham latest; effective 2m, acts on very soft and yielding; more needed but he was thought a lot of before Cheltenham. 12-1 for the Triumph and yet his race ended after a bad mid-race blunder; promising. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (9) (10/3 -78%)Majolique |
10/3(-78%) | (9) Majolique 10/3, Yard won this last year; hit rail but quickened clear with ease, hugely promising debut despite greenness when when winning a Listed Juvenile Hurdle at Naas by 4l last time; effective 2m, acts on heavy; looks classy and might take rise in grade in her stride. 1m2f French winner; impressed at Naas when widely expected to need the run. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

33/1(-50%) | (8) Adrienne 33/1, Ran to form when 8l third in Listed Juvenile Hurdle at Naas most recent run; effective 2m, acts on any; in good form but bit to find here. Maiden winner but has been getting found out in races of this nature. |

||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (25/1 -25%)Harwa |
25/1(-25%) | (1) Harwa 25/1, Never threatened, poorly placed to challenge and may have found ground on quick side when down the field in McCoy Contractors Juvenile Handicap Hurdle at Cheltenham most recent; effective 2m, acts with cut; bounce back needed up in grade. Course maiden winner; looked on a tough mark in the Fred Winter and ran accordingly. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (16/1 -60%)Moulin Labbe |
16/1(-60%) | (5) Moulin Labbe 16/1, Yard won this last year; converted easy opening when winning a maiden hurdle at Navan by 13l last time; effective 2m, acts on heavy; worth this step up in grade for top yard. 13l winner at Navan; chaser in the making and clearly open to vast improvement. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (6) (9/1 +25%)North Shore |
9/1(+25%) | (6) North Shore 9/1, Made too much use of when down the field in Triumph Hurdle (Grade 1) at Cheltenham most recent; effective 2m on heavy and yielding; bounce back needed. Never gave his true running in the Triumph and can be given another chance in a Grade 2. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|U| (2) (16/1 +20%)Kai Lung |
16/1(+20%) | (2) Kai Lung 16/1, Yard won this last year; too keen and ground too quick when pulled up in Triumph Hurdle (Grade 1) at Cheltenham latest; effective 2m, acts on heavy and soft; useful French form, could bounce back. Maiden win reads well; suffered interference when pulled up in the Triumph. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

MAJOLIQUE looked smart when winning an eventful juvenile hurdle on debut for Willie Mullins at Naas in February. She put in good late work to draw four-lengths clear and there should be plenty more to come from her. Proactif was a beaten favourite when unplaced in the Triumph Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival, but could readily resume winning ways if putting his best foot forward. Moulin Labbe opened up to win well at Navan and is not without a chance, while Michonne and North Shore shouldn't be disregarded.

It's clearly significant that Paul Townend rides the promising filly MAJOLIQUE who runs here in preference to the Grade 1 at Aintree.

||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (6) (12/1 +33%)Eagles Reign |
12/1(+33%) | (6) Eagles Reign 12/1, Went clear, returned to form back down in trip under aggressive ride beaten 3 1/4l off a 3lb lower mark at Naas last time; best at 2m, effective 2m3f, suited by cut; inconsistent, likes to dominate. 6.5l runner up in this last year, 2lb higher now and would probably prefer it softer. |

||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (21) (33/1 -50%)El Champo |
33/1(-50%) | (21) El Champo 33/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase at Gowran Park latest; enjoys making it; effective 2m4f-2m6f, acts on any; may need to come down in weights. Last hurdles win in 2023, two chase wins in 2025, pulled up latest, 4lb wrong here. |

GRANN'S BOY looked to be on good terms with himself when runner-up on his comeback on the Flat at Navan last week. Prior to that, he was also second in a decent handicap hurdle at Galway in October and the Navan spin should have blown the cobwebs away. Hat-trick-seeking Shabby Hill merits plenty of respect on handicap debut. He hasn't been winning by far, so it is hard for the handicapper to get a gauge on his ability. Gordon Elliott's Timeless Treaty is a triple winner over flights and should be in the mix for prize money, while Eagles Reign showed a welcome return to form when runner-up at Naas last month.

Preference is for GRANN'S BOY who won at this meeting last year and he should be cherry ripe after a pleasing Flat run at Navan

||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (4) (20/1 -43%)Blizzard Of Oz |
20/1(-43%) | (4) Blizzard Of Oz 20/1, Yard has won 3 of last 8 runnings of race; did it comfortably back hurdling when winning the Conditions Hurdle at Thurles by 1 1/4l last time; effective 2m4f-3m, acts on soft to heavy and good; may have more to offer over hurdles. Still below his best when winning at Thurles; Paul Townend deserts him for Storm Heart. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (10) (40/1 -100%)Grainne A Chroi |
40/1(-100%) | (10) Grainne A Chroi 40/1, Improved back down in trip when winning Quevega Mares Hurdle (Grade 3) at Punchestown by 3/4l last time; usually held up; effective 2m-2m7f, acts with cut; progressive and could come on for latest. This is more demanding against male opposition and has her work cut out at the weights. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

KAWABOOMGA looked like he would appreciate a step up in trip when keeping on well in fourth over 2m in a Grade 3 at Gowran Park. An absolute stack of winners came out of the maiden hurdle he won at Fairyhouse last year, so he has plenty of upside. His stablemate, Storm Heart, beat him in that aforementioned Grade 3 and he looks a big player after a keeping-on third in the BetMGM Cup. The Yellow Clay doesn't have an easy task in giving weight away to the field, but is a talented sort.

Storm Heart is in pole position but KAWABOOMGA made a very promising reappearance behind him at Gowran in February.

1st (1) (9/4 +36%)Energumene |
9/4(+36%) | (1) Energumene 9/4, Winner of six G1; too keen, made too much use of when fourth beaten 44l in Dublin Chase (Grade 1) at Leopardstown latest; off a short-break; effective 2m, suited by plenty of cut; dual Champion Chase winner isn't the force of old following layoff, but this is more realistic up in trip. Top class in pomp but time catching up with him, held by Found A Fifty on Cork run in Dec'. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (7/1 -17%)Blood Destiny |
7/1(-17%) | (4) Blood Destiny 7/1, Yard has won 3 of last 5 runnings of race; did it cosily, returned to form back down in trip on testing ground when winning William Hill Bet Builder Chase (Grade 3) at Naas by 5l last time; enjoys making it; effective 2m-2m4f, acts on heavy and good; back in form and can again go well. Grade 3 win at Naas latest, came up short in this last year, needs to find more to feature. |

||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (3) (13/2 -30%)Saint Sam |
13/2(-30%) | (3) Saint Sam 13/2, Yard has won 3 of last 5 runnings of race; made too much use of and set it up for closers when 15l third in Webster Cup Chase (Grade 2) at Navan most recent run; likes making running; effective 2m-2m5f on heavy and good; bit to find on recent efforts. Runner up in this last year behind Found A Fifty, needs to leave last two efforts behind. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

This is the grade that FOUND A FIFTY typically does his best work in and he can repeat last year's victory. With a mark of 162, he is certainly advantaged by the weights in this contest. Blood Destiny put it all together to win a Grade 3 at Naas in February and is a threat. Energumene was third behind Found A Fifty in the Hilly Way in December, so could have a bit to find with him. Saint Sam is likely to give it a good go off the front and he was only beaten by less than a length by Found A Fifty in last year's renewal.

Gordon Elliott holds a strong hand here and FOUND A FIFTY (nap) can bounce back from his poor Cheltenham effort and defend his crown

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

GORAIBHMAITHAGAT appeals after being pipped in the Leinster National at Naas. He is nicely weighted, has Harry Cobden's assistance, and his full-brother won over a marathon trip in last year's Killarney National. First-time blinkers saw Monbeg Genius stay on for third in the Kim Muir at Cheltenham and merits plenty of respect. Rob James steered Better Days Ahead to sixth in this contest last year and the Milan gelding had two lovely preparation runs at Navan. Leopardstown-winner O'Toole is one that could go well at a bigger price, while Ulster National hero Born Braver could get involved if recovered from recent exertions.

It could pay to side with THE JUKEBOX KID whose back-to-back Ascot wins suggest a rate of progression that will see off the home team

Off the mark over fences in Leop' beginners' latest, opening chase mark looks fair. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

A close third in a Listed handicap hurdle at this meeting last year, AYIKO may been campaigned with this race in mind. Having had just the three starts over fences this season, the Stuart Crawford-trained gelding looks reasonably treated off a mark just 1lb below his hurdle rating. Handicap-debutant Butch Cassidy is an interesting runner for the Henry De Bromhead stable and the son of Walk In The Park is open to improvement. Leopardstown winner Joyau De Thaix is another with claims in a competitive affair.

SAVANTE looks like she has turned a corner in recent starts and she may be able to supplement her impressive Navan win

50/1(-127%) | (9) Octo Gane 50/1, Fair bumper debut when 7 1/4l fourth in a maiden bumper at Huntingdon first-time out; absent for very lengthy period; effective at 2m on good; should improve. Too free when a beaten favourite on Huntingdon debut nearly two years ago. |

10th (7) (20/1 +60%)Big Boy Dan |
20/1(+60%) | (7) Big Boy Dan 20/1, 10,500 euros Doyen gelding; half-brother to Exit To The West, useful at 20f; hard to fancy on debut. Asked a stiff question on what's a belated debut at the age of seven. |

11th (13) (40/1 -21%)Storm Queen |
40/1(-21%) | (13) Storm Queen 40/1, Moderate debut down the field in a Mares' bumper at Limerick most recent; returning from a break; effective at 3m in points; major improvement required. Point winner who perhaps resented the heavy ground when nowhere in a Limerick bumper. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (8) (300/1 -140%)Dorie Miller |
300/1(-140%) | (8) Dorie Miller 300/1, Well below form on deep ground well beaten in a bumper at Gowran Park latest; tongue-tie first time; effective around 2m; vulnerable here. Minor form in five bumpers and instantly opposable. |

CHARISMATIC KID can win for the first time since joining trainer Gordon Elliott. Having shaped with plenty of promise when third in a Grade 2 bumper at Leopardstown over Christmas, the gelding will find this task easier. Unbeaten in all three career starts, Jeroboam Machin has clearly not been an easy horse to train. Off the track since February 2024, the Emmet Mullins-trained gelding would be a serious threat if retaining all his old ability. Runner-up on all three runs for Willie Mullins, Poetisa has every chance of a first Irish success.

Preference is for CHARISMATIC KID who carried heavy expectations on his shoulders when an encouraging third at Leopardstown.
Ths is the racecard key.
