THE RIGHT ONE made a pleasing debut when keeping on into second behind Rogue Legend over 5f at Cork last month. The winner boosted the form by following up in good style at Tipperary and the selection should be suited by this extra furlong. Arugam Bay has shown promise on both starts including when runner-up to well-backed newcomer Joyful Tidings at Tipperary, while Cortina D'amprezzo is another for the shortlist following her debut third to the impressive Ipanema Queen in a 21-runner 6f Curragh maiden with Femme Beauty three lengths behind. Blessings To You, Quiet Mutiny and Ballinamona are three newcomers to note in the market.

The safe option is ARUGAM BAY who has run well both starts at 5f on easy ground and she's bred to stay this longer trip

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (12) (16/1 -100%)Tomarlo |
16/1(-100%) | (12) Tomarlo 16/1, Did not get a clear run beaten 8 1/4l in a handicap over 5f at Down Royal last time; in good form prior; up in trip; not out of it Disappointing fav latest and 7lb above winning mark but generally consistent; back to 6f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (13/2 +35%)Manhattan Chute |
13/2(+35%) | (2) Manhattan Chute 13/2, Second beaten 5l in a maiden here latest; that signalled revival; blinkers retained; sound surface suits; in the mix Won 7f AW maiden and bounced back from lesser run with 1l C&D defeat; same mark. |

STELLA ALPINA has shown good pace on all four maiden starts and can make the breakthrough on her first step into handicap company. The selection made most of the running when runner-up to Cold Hearted at the Curragh last time and now has the benefit of Wayne Hassett's 5lb claim. Midnight Horizon benefitted from a drop down to this trip when successful on her handicap debut at the Curragh last week and is an obvious threat despite a hefty 14lb hike for that victory. Agouti Bear may have spoiled her chance by getting upset in the stalls last time, while others to consider include Smoke Them Out and Tomarlo.

After two narrow defeats, STELLA ALPINA shades the vote and she has a workable mark for handicap debut

LAUGH A MINUTE has been a tremendous servant to Shamrock Thoroughbreds and gained a ninth career win over this trip at the Curragh in March. The forecast rain would help the veteran who again went close at Naas last time. Connections have found the key to I Bid You Ajou is running around a bend and the son of Shalaa is bidding to win over this C&D for the third week in a row. The Mark Fahey-trained gelding has been raised a total of 16lb for those two recent wins, while Gordon Bennett has tumbled down the ratings and finished strongly over a similar trip at the Curragh last time but is probably best suited by straight tracks.

A chance is taken on the fitness of SOUNDS LIKE A PLAN who made an encouraging start to his career last term and is entirely unexposed

6th (3) (33/1 -32%)Follow Me |
33/1(-32%) | (3) Follow Me 33/1, Down the field in Concorde Stakes (Listed) at Tipperary most recent where failed to stay; generally out of form; returning from long layoff; bit to find Rated 93, won testing ground maiden last season, has been gelded, tough task on return. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (7/1 -110%)Admiral Churchill |
7/1(-110%) | (6) Admiral Churchill 7/1, Well backed when winning the Conditions Race at Listowel over 8f by 3 1/4l last time; steadily progressive; trainer in form; form had knocks but could figure in hat trick bid 95-rated 3yo, has won his last two, handles any ground, gets weight from elders, go well. |

BRAVAIS won twice over 7f in France and appreciated a return to a similar trip when getting the better of the front-running Hurricane Ivor inside the final furlong at Tipperary last month. There shouldn't be much between the pair again with rain an obvious plus for the mud-loving Hurricane Ivor. Murkala won over this trip at the Curragh last month and receives plenty of weight including her rider's 7lb claim, while Admiral Churchill has progressed well this season and is on a hat-trick after scoring in good style at Listowel. Follow Me won twice at the Curragh last spring and may have benefitted from a winter break.

There wasn't much between Bravais and HURRICANE IVOR (nap) at Tipp and the latter may be able to reverse that form on these terms

However, that didn't look the strongest race for the grade and preference is given to SEO LINN, who has won three times in bumpers. The Paddy Twomey-trained mare won a Listed event at Cheltenham in November and following a winter break, landed a Grade 2 at Aintree. Factual Fact won a Thurles bumper in good style on debut but was absent for over two years until placed over this trip at Tipperary last month.

After a cracking campaign in bumpers, SEO LINN found 1m2f too short on Flat debut and this trip ought to suit and rain may also help

GAME PHOENIX has been placed a number of times in maiden hurdles and advertised her ability back on the Flat over 1m2f at Cork last time. She should be suited by this extra 2f and gets the vote over Fervent, who impressed here over 1m2f last Friday. The Elzaam gelding appeared to have plenty in hand but is now off an 11lb higher mark. Tatum missed most of last season but has returned in good form this term and got off the mark last time over this trip when fitted with first-time blinkers.

After last month's win, TATUM could be the one to side with from just 5lb higher given that we know she handles conditions
Ths is the racecard key.
